Tastefully remodeled studio in older building located a couple of short blocks from the best beaches in Waikiki and the best restaurants, shopping and bars a short stroll away. Lots of cabinets both in kitchen and bathroom wardrobe area. Has a balcony facing condo building courtyards and parking. Building has good security measures. Would definitely stay again.

The apartment was very clean and stocked with everything you would need. We especially appreciated the fact that there were beach towels for our use. The only thing I could suggest to improve the stay would be good instructions on using the television. We were unable to get the tv to work. We were just a few blocks from the beach and all of the restaurants and shopping.

The property was exactly as pictured. Communication with Peter was very easy. The room was small but we really only needed a place to sleep as we did not spend much other time there. Bed was comfortable. Our stay included everything we needed for the two of us. The only draw back is the parking. It can be challenging and if you find a spot in the basement lot, there are no in and out privileges. Keep that in mind when paying for your parking pass. The place is within walking distance to most everything you would need though. We would recommend this property.

Staying here allowed us to not need to rent a car (or find parking). We were 3 minutes from Waikiki Beach and we watched the sunrise on the beach a couple times. The room was quiet and clean. The A/C worked well. We loved either cooking or getting breakfast and bringing it to our lanai/balcony and eating breakfast in a the cool morning breeze. Peter was a great host!

Amazing location - we could walk to the beaches and restaurants. The kitchen let us prep meals at home, which was fantastic. It was clean and ready, and the manager Peter was wonderful - very responsive and friendly. There was no problem getting in or with anything we needed.
A few things: the building is old and run down - from the outside I was a little worried. While there is a security desk, in the 9 days there I only saw someone at it once, so if that's important to you, know it's not really used. The building is sort of security, but people did walk in and jump in elevators that were already open (you need a fob to open the elevator in the lobby and to ride up, but not down).
There is no laundry facility available here, contrary to the pictures. The one that was attached to the building closed in April 2023.
The main downside for us was the furniture, which for us was uncomfortable. The mattress is very hard and felt old, and same for the pillows. The chairs for the dining table and patio were not comfortable, and the lighting in the apartment is very minimal, with no light over the table. The patio is tiny, and if you're spending a lot of time in the water like we did and you hang wet things over the chairs, there's no place to sit or stand outside. Hanging wet things on the shower rod just knocks it down since it's pressure mounted.
Overall it was totally fine for our needs but not amazing.

This property was a 5 minute walk to Waikiki beach. An ABC store is on the same block so you can easily get water and groceries. Food trucks across the street with Shrimp, Hawaiian style hot dogs, Poke and rolled ice cream super convenient. Coffee spot also open from 7-2. If you are on a budget and want a quick, cheap meal, McD’s a few blocks down the street along with Starbucks, breakfast spots, shopping. Rentals of beach equipment (surfboards, etc) also conveniently located. Bus stop across the street. you can buy a pass at the ABC store. Bus only $2.50/trip. Avid walkers will enjoy 4 mile RT walk to Diamond Head beach, a great surf spot away from the tourists.

This property is as perfect for what we were needing for our trip to Oahu. Like the other reviews it’s very quiet inside the room. The A/C worked very nicely in keeping our room cool for sleeping. Of course it’s Hawaii and there’s no point in hanging out around during the day unless you’re sleeping in which is likely because the bed was comfortable. The fridge and microwave are awesome add ins and nicely sized. We didn’t need to cook top. Bathroom was roomy for two. The shower was warm right from the start. Good pressure too. Lots of things to do in immediate vicinity, There’s an ABC store a hundred yards away and they have most anything you’ll need. We liked our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return should the chance come up again for a stay in Oahu.
You can’t go wrong by staying here.

My husband and I came here for a few days. First, Peter the property owner was amazing. He was quick to answer all questions in a timely manner. Second, when we walked in it smelled clean and the condo was perfect. It’s perfectly located in Waikiki. You can walk anywhere or hop on a bus. Everything is literally a short walk away including the beach. The condo had all the conveniences you would need. Such as pots, pans, dish ware, soap, shampoo, lots of towels, and beach equipment. It also had an umbrella that we needed since it rained while we were visiting. Trust me you won’t be disappointed. Thank you, Peter for amazing time!

GREAT location. 1 block from the beach. Close to restaurants. Only drawback was the parking. We paid for 24 hours … but, if we left within that timeframe, we weren’t guaranteed a spot when we got back. Also, be aware that the FOB (instead of a key or key card) is easy to lose. And it cost $60 to replace. We realize it isn’t the owner’s fault, it’s the property management’s rules. But something to consider or be cognizant of.

Great location to everything in Waikiki, but the building is in a quiet area so still very peaceful. Didn't hear any partying or noisy neighbors. Our unit had everything we needed and kitchen was nice to make breakfast and save some money. Owner of property is happy to help with any questions and issues should you have any. Gave excellent instructions on how to check in and followed up with us to make sure we made it without problems. My husband and I are not fancy travelers and prefer necessity and convenience over luxury. So we would absolutely recommend this property if you are looking for an affordable room that's near the beach, shopping and dining. And has everything you need for a convenient, hassle-free stay. We booked this property last minute and Peter was so helpful and thorough from start to finish! Peter let us check in a early, and sent all the instructions to us which made everything suuuuuper easy. Self check ins can be confusing sometimes but Peter's was great.
The studio was clean, close to all the shops and beaches in town, and had everything that we needed, from beach towels, to regular towels, to cooking supplies, to even floaties for the beach.

I chose this place as it was on the cheaper end of the price range and I wanted a little kitchenette to cook or have breakfast to help save on costs. Check in was a breeze (in fact, I was informed that I could check in earlier which was much appreciated) and as a lot of other reviewers have noted, Peter was a wonderful host - communicative in case there were any issues (there weren’t), without being overbearing.
I was there alone but this place would easily suit a couple as well. There is a little balcony which is great for drying wet towels etc. and having a meal at the end of the day. The bed was comfy, the aircon effective and the shower nice and strong - what more could a gal ask for! The location can’t be beaten either, with lots of little food carts right outside (it was nice to be able to eat these meals comfortably from the balcony rather than scoffing the food on the side of the road!) and of course a stone’s throw from the beach. Thank you Peter for a wonderful stay.

The room is a bit smaller than the photos would suggest, but very efficiently laid out and well-stocked with everything needed for a comfortable stay. WiFi and a/c both work great! Was in town for a couple of days to see some friends in Kailua. Needed a place that was convenient and safe. Parking is a pain in Waikiki, but this was great, although $25 a day, BUT you can park across the street near the vendors, and all night, if there's an open space. We did one night. Great communication with landlord. Lots of places to eat and of course VERY close to the beach. Felt safe with security there keeping an eye on things. It worked great our visit.

This is a very nice small efficiency/studio apartment. It was immaculate, updated, and just a couple of blocks from the beach. Owner very helpful and the beach chairs and boogie boards were an added plus. Parking is an issue at property—very limited—and around Waikiki (plus it is expensive). Do yourself a favor and ditch the rental car for Uber. You will save many headaches and also money.

We had a lovely time staying here! Our trip was 10 days, starting in the last week of April. The unit is fully equipped and stocked with conveniences, including a cooler bag, floaties, beach towels, beach umbrella, and toiletries. The location is unbeatable—literally a two-minute walk from the sands of Waikiki beach. The air conditioner is a lifesaver, and not too loud that you couldn’t sleep with it on (after spending some time around it). Access to the laundromat, car rental, and convenience store in the same building is a huge bonus. The unit was incredibly clean and the perfect size for a couple. Peter and Chelsea were so accommodating and helpful throughout the entire process. We enthusiastically recommend staying here, and we definitely hope to be back!

I felt like I had struck gold when I found these sweet little condos! I've stayed in 2 condos by this owner and love them both. It's an older building but the condos are
impeccably clean and beautiful, all beach themed and stocked with everything you could need. Beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella and boogie board. A nice big changing room with plenty of cabinets, drawers and closet to unpack everything. A well appointed kitchen area though we tend to eat out. The location is about 1 1/2 blocks from Waikiki Beach! Will always stay here when visiting Oahu! Thanks Peter and Chelsea for providing this perfect property!

Peter was very thorough in his instructions to check in, parking, location, etc. The studio apartment was clean and had everything needed to stay over a week. Lots of pillows and clean towels. I used all of the beach gear and beach towels. Easy walks to the zoo and aquarium and several beaches in the Waikiki area. I loved the store and places to eat on the same street. The air conditioner and WiFi worked great! Thank you Peter for a wonderful visit to the island. I would recommend this place to friends and I would come back to this apartment.

Our stay at Peter’s property was perfect for our vacation in Hawaii. When we come back, I hope this place is available again. We stayed for a total of 15 nights at a rate that hotels cant compete with. Kuhio Village is located in the heart of Waikiki with many tasty restaurants, shopping, and the beach a few steps away (there is even laundry in the lobby of the building). The lobby isn’t anything grand, but there is a security guard and I felt very safe.
The studio is a good size for one to two guests. You won’t be staying in your room much anyway with all the island has to offer, but it is clean, comfortable, and just what we need wanted. It has a full kitchen with all the equipment you will need to make coffee, reheat your leftovers, or prepare a quick meal. The bed is comfortable, the AC works just fine, and we couldn’t hear the neighbors. The bathroom includes a large changing area with a closet and drawers for all your personal belongings and luggage. Peter provides fresh linen, beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella, body board, cooler bag, umbrella in the event of rain, ironing board, soaps, paper products, and a hair dryer. Peter was a responsive and gracious host. Highly recommend.

Place was cute, clean, and located close to so many restaurants, stores and the beach with just a short walk.
We enjoyed our stay here. Though when we first arrived we were a bit put off as there were quite a few loiters right in front of the building. We were a bit worried for night time considering it was just my daughter and I; however, once night time arrived and we walked back to the room we realized how busy the area was and the loiterers were gone. So don’t be so put off when first arriving.
The room had everything we needed. The upstairs AC did leak onto the balcony and that was a bit annoying but we just both avoided the seat closest to the leaking. At night it’s fairly quiet but we did have a few nights where there was super loud neighbors but that’s to be expected.
We had a car and only parked below for one night as it was difficult securing parking there since it’s open to the public and there are only about 10-15 spots. Ended up parking elsewhere the other 4 nights. Parking is also very tight but reasonable compared to other places.
Overall we would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

First, Peter was great: he responded to my questions quickly and invited us to check in early that day. Then, the place is VERY well located: it is close to everything that you'd want in Waikiki. The place is also spotless, which is great. The reason that I was trying to decide between 3 and 4 stars (and chose four) is for two reasons: 1) when we booked we had asked about the wifi - I told the host that my husband needed to work on his computer a bit while we were in town - and was told that people have worked successfully from that unit. But when we got there the wifi had gone in and out, kicking my husband off his calls a few times. Plus, there was no place to plug in but the bed: the other outlet near the chairs and table were all taken up by the router, lamp. etc. This made it not so great for my husband's work. 2) the air conditioner. Right above the bed, it would rattle up to a start only to cough and die, then restart and keep going. Because it was right above the bed, it kept us awake all night.
In the end, we very much appreciated the care taken with this unit (beach towels and play things), AND if we had known that my husband couldn't really work from there we wouldn't have booked it.

My husband and I stayed for 5 days and loved it. It is a great location if you're interested in staying near all the action. The building is secure and easy to access. It is rather cozy but it met our needs just fine. The beach towels, chairs and boogie board came in handy at the beach.
Although you'll probably be spending most of your time outside the room, our only suggestion would be to upgrade the TV so some of the more current streaming apps (Amazon prime, Hulu, etc.) could be added. Also, the cable box is located under the table, so just make sure you are pointing the remote in that direction. :)

We had been wanting to find a place that was within walking distance of the beach and a few restaurants, and this place have us both of those😊We did have to take a short cab ride to get to Walmart for some groceries, but that was not a big deal to us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this place and would recommend it to anyone. 😊

We loved that it was very close to the beach and there is parking available for a fee within the building. The room was clean and very accommodating with all of the resources we needed for a comfortable stay. This was the second of two rooms from this owner and our In-laws stayed in this room. It was in the same building as our room so it was great to have them close by. We all had a wonderful time.

Nice apartment, very close to the beach, many good places to eat nearby, also close to bus stops. When I went on tours the pick up poin was Hyatt Regency that is close too. The big plus is balcony!!! I liked to have breakfast there enjoying fresh morning air. I highly recommend this place to everyone! I'm sure you will like it too.
