NA PAINA is a spacious 2-story cedar house nestled in ironwood trees right on the sandy beach at Anahola Bay. This classic beach house has two decks and spectacular ocean views. Anahola is a secluded bay, located in a small residential community and has a sand-bottom (not coral) beach suited for swimming and surfing. Tide pools and snorkeling areas are located at each end of the bay, a short walk down the beach. If you are looking for a resort experience, this is not it! The house is perfect for family gatherings or small groups and sleeps up to ten people. It is within easy driving distance of restaurants, golf, and shopping.

We had a wonderful time at this property. The house was great, and the porch was wonderful to spend time on. The locals we encountered on the beach were friendly and gave us helpful tips about weather conditions. Thanks for letting us stay!

We had such an amazing time during our stay. The house was stocked with everything you can think of. Our kids loved all the boogie boards and snorkel gear. The morning sunrise was breathtaking from the deck. Location was great for traveling to all different parts of the island. We would definitely come back!

We had a full house and we were the gathering house for other family members that stayed at other rentals/ hotels on the island. The home owners were very responsive and easy to get ahold of and the check in process was super easy. The house was a perfect location and had amazing access to a sand bottom beach. The young kids (3 years-5 years) were afraid of the bigger waves but my 10-14 year old nieces loved boogie boarding and body surfing. I was a little concerned after reading the reviews about a homeless camp but I didn’t even notice them until I walked all the way to the end of the bay. The neighboring camp ground did light off a few fireworks one night but otherwise were quiet and friendly on the beach. The beach was typically empty and felt private. The loft area ended up being too difficult to get up and down for one of us, so they utilized the extra bedding and slept in the futon. The house has all the dishes and supplies we needed. If you are traveling with babies/toddlers, we noticed they have baby gates and some baby gear as well. There was a ton of beach gear, snorkels, etc. that we used often. There was an element of sadness to our vacation due to the fires in Maui but overall, we all had an amazing time. Overall, the house was perfect for our big family and I’d highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location is wonderful and the home is well stocked. Perfect for large families or multiple families. Listening to the waves in the morning and evening were the best!

We loved our stay, was so hard to leave. The location was perfect, close to everything and being right on the beach made it easy for playing in the ocean and strolling the beach. There was plenty of room for everyone and the kids loved staying in the 2 loft bedrooms upstairs, so fun! Annie is an amazing host and so quick to respond, super sweet. Hope to be back soon!!

We loved every minute of our week in Kauai and Na Paina was everything we hoped it would be. Glorious ocean and beach right in our back yard, and we savored our time on the beautiful deck too ~ especially watching the sunrise every morning. Such a comfortable home, in a great location for all of our play and adventures. Thank you!

The property is breathtaking. My son-in-law called it paradise, which it was. There were 9 of us so plenty of beds and privacy. Beach is just a short walk through the backyard right onto the beach. Plenty of beach toys, boogie boards and beach towels. So many memories, family dinners, beach time. There is a television, but it was never turned on the entire week we were there. We plan on returning.

Location was great for all of the traveling north and south that we did. In February, the beach has all the conditions one could want…a reef to snorkel with life guard at the beach park, crazy waves close to the house for surfing and lesser waves at times near where the river enters. Immediate neighbors are quiet, there is some tent camping nearby. The owners were very nice when we messed up the garbage situation. We used the wrong bins so it wasn’t collected.

We had our family reunion here. The house had a large bedroom with bathroom for each party in our group. The big windows overlooking Anahola were amazing as was the deck. The beach is right out the back door, but you have to walk through a homeless camp to get there. We didn’t have any issues with them other than the trash and smell in the bushes. We used the beach toys and snorkel equipment and we’re grateful to have them. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Great time in Anahola at this beach house. The walking path and proximity to the ocean are superb. Hanging out on the deck and watching the waves was very soothing. There is a small homeless camp right below the property line which made me a little uneasy but we never felt threatened or had any issues. I would recommend this property.

House had everything you need, right on the beach. This is a beautiful area and right in the middle of heading to either the south or north of the island. The kids loved it! Highly recommend.

Our family (all over 18) had and amazing and fun time at Na Paina home on Anahola beach. It is beachfront, is very large, and accommodated our family group of 10 so well. It was also well outfitted with in the kitchen, had comfortable beds, and had tons of towels, and beach supplies and toys available to borrow! It has 3 large master bedrooms with separate bathrooms, one bedroom with two twin beds and it’s own bathroom, and then two lofts each with one twin bed. The lofts are accessible with ladders, so be aware of that if someone cannot climb a ladder to their bed. It does not have AC but has a great ocean breeze and fans to move the air so it was comfortable. And with this location on the beach and the generous deck for sitting… it’s a win. The beach is a locals beach (non-touristy) and is good for swimming in the waves. Our family looks forward to booking this home again for an annual vacay. Mahalo!

My husband, five year old son and I joined up with a small group of friends for a two week stay at this wonderful house. Everyone loved the ample space and privacy, the gorgeous views, and of course the amazing beach. There were plenty of available toys so we could snorkel, body board, build sand castles and otherwise enjoy the ocean, as well as games and puzzles for the rainy days. The only hard part was saying goodbye, as we had come to feel so at home. We’ll definitely be back!

This house maybe older, but dont let that keep you from seeing the ocean views from your back deck. This house is clean and very very well maintained. It is loaded with every possible item you will need for a great vacation. Having separate bathrooms for each bedroom, is so nice when your with your adult children. The beach is a 3 min walk thru your back yard. The beach is a local beach, no crazy spring break kids, just nice families enjoying the water. We cant wait to visit again in several uears!

Amazing place to stay the house was right on the beach and it was a locals beach so you didn’t have but a handful of people there so it was perfect. The house had everything that we needed and room for everyone. If we ever get to go back we will definitely stay here again

We had a great family vacation with the roll of the surf lulling us to sleep each night and greeting us each morning. The beach is a favorite for the locals so you whole different experience from that of the resorts. Facility was clean and well equipped to meet our needs. Enjoy the roosters!

Slept so well with the sound of waves and the breezes. So relaxing and we loved to just be able to walk out to the beach. The house had everything we needed, close to hiking, kayaking, beautiful falls. We loved being in the little neighborhood away from the touristy parts. There were camp grounds on both sides of the beach but it was really quiet, except for New Year’s Eve when there was a total fireworks show from our deck. We just didn’t want to leave.

This well loved place is a fantastic location with wonderful vibes of generations of families who have stayed here. The place isn’t updated with the latest decorating trends, but it doesn’t matter one bit as soon as you open the windows and feel the ocean breeze, watch the sand and sunsets over the ocean, and immerse yourself in a puzzle or family game, listening to the waves just beyond. This place reminds you of what’s important when you’re in Kauai-relaxing, listening to the chickens, being at the ocean, and pure relaxation.

Roosters crowing at the break of dawn, spectacular sunrises witnessed over the beach from the deck, four large bedrooms with individual baths, snorkeling gear, boogie boards, games, cards. This home is well stocked with everything. It was the best Hawaiian vacation I've ever had!

With only a few bushes and sand between the house and surf, it is ON the beach. It is a busy public beach loved by surfers and campers, yet feels private. Eight in our group had plenty of privacy, for naps, showers, etc, yet a great community feel during meals and on the upper deck. It fit our needs just right!
