We loved staying at the Honua Kai. This unit is located conveniently close to the elevator that goes to the parking garage, store, gym and lobby. The on-site amenities are great and location on the boardwalk is great for walking. The property manager and owner are both responsive and easy to reach. Thank you!

This condo is perfect in so many ways. Tons of space, great furnishings, comfortable beds, terrific views of mountains and ocean, and the pool at Honua Kai is absolutely amazing. The snorkeling right off the beach was fantastic and of course the Maui sunsets were great. The location was great and right by a reasonable grocery store. Parking was easy as well. If you have kids, this resort is just perfect. The pool setup is elite… multiple hot tubs, waterfalls, lazy river like area. Do not hesitate to book… I did extensive research when planning our trip and this unit delivered on all of my expectations.

We stayed here with our family of 5 (older teen/young adult boys) and had a great stay! Condo was a good size for us, we all slept well. Two bathrooms were great and my 14 yo said the pullout sofa with the extra foam pads was comfortable. The resort itself was wonderful. The beach was nice, pools were great, and we enjoyed dinner at Duke's (make a reservation). Condo had a cooler, two beach chairs, a boogie board, and a couple other random beach items to use. It had all the kitchen supplies we needed for our simple breakfast and lunch items we made. We even made it to the fitness center one day. We had another family we stayed with who had a larger 3 BR condo at this resort with an amazing ocean front view. We felt this condo was much more budget friendly for us and fit our needs well. Just make sure the patio door is shut firmly for AC to work. Overall, great stay! Would recommend for sure!

First off, the condo is exactly as pictured. It was clean and the building and grounds were beautiful. Monty was great, checking on us to make sure everything was going ok. The pools were nice and felt great on a hot day (they are heated) and the ocean in front of the resort was perfect for swimming at high tide or snorkeling anytime of day. It's close to Black Rock Beach as well as Baby beach. There is a grocery store two minutes up the road as well as a food truck park next door. The condo is close to the elevator and all of the pools and the view was gorgeous!! There were a few stains on the headboards but we aren't picky so it didn't bother us. The resort was quiet and it was an absolute pleasure to stay for a few days. The kids loved playing with the water toys in the closet and we enjoyed using some of the books in the condo. We are already planning our trip back for next year. Thank you for sharing your condo with us!

This was our second time staying at this the Honua Kai resort, first time in this 2 bedroom unit. We were pleased with our stay,. The property manager Monty was very helpful and we had great communication prior and during our stay. This is a nice place to stay!
We did feel the unit could use a little TLC.
THE PLUSES: THIS IS A LOVELY RESORT, well maintained grounds, THE UNIT, big living room and bedrooms, great water pressure in shower, nice appliances, plenty of cookware, great beach accessories, water toys, cooler, big lanai and nice view. Close food trucks and lots of great little shops near by!
THE NEGATIVES: Couch was heavenly stained, master bedroom head board had a big stain, walls were scuffed and need some attentions, no smart TV’s, (fire stick on living room TV) lamp shades were damaged or stained. Rust on mirror base in bathroom.
Small detail, rear entrance gate would not work with our parking pass. Limited supply of toilet paper provided and no facial tissue provided at all.

My mom and I rented the condo for 8 nights and had an amazing time. We did tons of activities all over Maui, and the condo was well situated to go everywhere. The parking was easy, and the valet option was a lifesaver when we had all our groceries. The beds were comfortable, and it we relaxed on the patio and resort grounds every night. Both bathrooms were massive, and the kitchen and laundry were top notch. It was a bonus that I could get a great latte downstairs every day. We were only two people, but you could easily accommodate 4-6 in the amount of space. The property manager answered our few questions within minutes and was so nice. I would stay here again and recommend to all.

We loved the property as we had stayed there once before.
Dukes restaurant and bar on the premises by the beach. It's great if you don't feel like venturing out and want to hang by one of the many pools. Our issue is with the unit and host.
I contacted the soon as we arrived about the air condition unit not working properly or at all. He did text me back about checking to make sure that all lanai doors were closed or the unit will not turn on. We found that the lanai door was not closing properly. You had to bang it shut and still would not close tightly and you had to use your shoulder to pry it open. The unit had a temperature of 76 degrees. They did send a someone over to make a few adjustments which helped enough to get the air conditioner to work.
I was told that we had a Keurig coffee maker but the basket that punctures the pods was missing. I took a picture of it and sent it to the host but it was never addressed.
All three televisions had problems with pixels or the station had no signal but I never contacted the host because we would not be in our unit that much.
The furniture was a bit beat up and the living room couch had stains on it.
We did here back from the host the day before checkout. He asked that we put the towels on in the washer run the dishwasher and take out the trash. We did comply but I'm not happy about it. I paid for cleaning services why am I being asked to do so?
Nothing to do with the unit but I have to bring up the parking situation.
We had two handicap people on this visit and the parking under the building is not sufficient. They definitely do not have the legal amount of handicap spots either. They do have valet parking but that is making a handicap person walk even further and away from the elevators. There were two handicap spots near the elevator and they were taken many times by non handicap vehicles. We called up security and the placed warning stickers on the drivers window that they would be towed. The Honua Kai needs to address this problem and have security surveilling the parking lot for issues. I will probably stay here again but because of the property is clean and manicured every day and its a great location.
I just hope that the parking situation improves in the future.

Great condo at a fantastic location, it is within a resort walking distance to the sand. Lots to do all within 2-5 miles, in addition to up and down that side of the coast. Condo is stocked with beach essentials which was lovely.
The reason for my less than 5 star rating, there were many awful stains on the couch, thats where we spent most of our time, plus one of our guest was sleeping on the pull out bed, so that was sort of unsettling with a dirty couch. The AC would automatically turns off when the balcony door opens, which is a great way to save energy. However it does not turn back on automatically, we never wanted to bother the property manager but after 2 days of AC not coming back on, we have searched on YouTube, researched ourselves, could not figure out how to turn it back on. When I finally reached out to property manager for some direction, I was provided with none, but eventually we figured it out.

My husband and two 17 year olds just returned form an amazing stay. This property is even more beautiful in person and has plenty of room for families. The room had everything we needed and more. Monty is extremely attentive and helpful for anything you need. We will re-book this condo on next trip!

Space can easily accommodate 2 couples or a family. Kitchen stocked w/basics if you want to cook. Washer/dryer always a plus! Great location, great balcony, nice pools - super busy and to be expected. Easy access to the beach and very walkable.

We had an amazing week in Maui. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed including boogie boards and beach chairs. The towel system works well at the resort. Beds were comfortable, my son used the pull out and it was great. Had a great stay! Thanks for having us, would love to return!

Rick's place is amazing. The resort is five star and Rick's unit will not disappoint. The location is great, it is a side view but angled to give wonderful ocean as well as landscape views. We had a wonderful stay at Rick's 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo at Honua Kai. The location is great, the pools are spectacular, and the beach is right there. Monty, the property manager, was prompt and accommodating in facilitating separating the king size bed into 2 twins for our teens while we were at dinner the day we arrived. We highly recommend this resort and this condo.

Our family went to Maui for our daughters wedding. We booked four different rooms at Honua Kai. I was in a 2 bdrm unit. Check in was a breeze. We recd text instructions and just had to pickup wrist bands and parking pass from concierge. Unit was beautiful and ready for us by 3pm. We spent ten days in Maui. Our room was in Konea tower. This was perfect because it had a great fitness center and was right outside the pools and Dukes. We celebrated Mother’s Day in our unit with everyone. There was 17 of us We had the slider doors open and it was not cramped at all. We brought in platters of food from Foodland and had a great time. I will say using the dryer is hard because clothes don’t really come out very dry since there isn’t an outside vent. But we managed just fine by laying some items out to finish air drying. I would definitely rebook this unit again on our next visit to Maui.

We stayed at the property for a week. It was promised that the property had keurig machine for coffee, which it didn't. I bought capsules on our way from airport which turned out throwaway money. Then the towels service for pool this property uses from Honua Kai - it's terrible. The towels are not replenished at peak hours of usage so if you didn't take the towels an evening before, you won't have towels to use at the pool. We squandered one day at the pool because of this. Finally, beach equipment is not inspected for wear and tear between tenants. As a result, we discovered that the umbrella is broken and unusable only after arriving at the baby beach. The umbrella was replaced the same evening but our stay at the beach that day was ruined.
Other than that, the property is spacious and is suitable for families. We really appreciated the two separate rooms and the amount of space, furnished kitchen and convenient location.

This was our second visit to Maui and this condo. Rick is very helpful and easy to work with related to booking and answering questions about the property and surrounding area. Monty is very easy to work with once you arrive in Maui. The pool is great for younger kids and was extremely busy every day. The beach is nice, but there are nicer beaches close by if you are looking for less people. We will be back! Love this property and Maui!!

We had a fantastic stay. Two adults and two teens, I loved that the unit essentially has two master suits, on separate sides of the unit. The unit is spacious and I love being able to open the accordion doors in both the living room and master bedroom.
This unit has new tile floors that are a nice upgrade. The unit was stocked with everything that we needed.
We have marked this unit in our favorites and will be back.

Honua Kau is a five star property. they are doing a very good job with this unit. They have 5G Wi-Fi which is very helpful if you need to work. Limited ocean view, but the view of the mountains is wonderful and. I definitely prefer being on the outside to being on the inside of the property because of the noise.

The resort is beautiful. The condo is clean and well stocked. There was plenty of space for our party of 6. The sofa bed was not very comfortable but I guess you can't expect much from a sofa bed. Loni was very kind and accommodating. The boogie boards and beach equipment came in handy for our multiple trips to various beaches. We added to the collection as we forgot our snorkeling gear. Enjoy!

Wonderful condo in a fantastic resort! Loved the lanai and view of the ocean and mountain from the unit. There was enough space in this unit to accommodate our two children (6 and 9 yrs) along with one set of grandparents. Duke's is a nice restaurant on site with a variety of decent food. The three pools were a hit with our family, and offered something different for everyone. The beach is only a couple minutes walk and perfect for boogy boarding and whale watching. Disliked that we had to pay for parking at the complex, but liked having a car to drive where we wanted to. Lahiana is only a five minute drive away. Rick was very helpful and responsive to email questions prior to arrival. Monty was very helpful and responsive while on the island. Would stay here again in heart beat.

We were 2 couples spending 1 week in this great condo. Spacious 2 bedroom/2 bath modern condo. The location is central to everything in the Lahaina area. Ocean swimming was a little dangerous at our beach, there is a rocky reef bottom and without water shoes on you could hurt yourself on the rocks. The condo itself was clean and well equipped except we would have liked to have seen a few extra items included besides salt and pepper for our first day. Preparations for the first morning's coffee, including sugar and milk substitute would have been nice. We used the boogie boards to play in the surf. Went to the restaurant on site, Duke's was convenient for a quick bite. We bought stuff to cook on the BBQ's and ate on the balcony with our wonderful view of the water and the pool.

My husband and our two twenty-something daughters had a wonderful stay. The layout is perfect for four people. The photos and description are very accurate. We enjoyed having a restaurant on site and there is a great supermarket just a 10 minute walk from the property. The property manager Monty is great and so is the staff at resort. We would definitely stay here again.

Loved this condo! Lots of space, very clean, nicely decorated, and luxurious. I would pick this over any of the hotels in Lahaina. It is located close to Lahaina but far enough away to avoid the crowds. View was great, too. Look left and you can see the mountains. Look right for a perfect shot of Lana'i and the ocean.
Both the owner and the property manager would very friendly and a pleasure to work with. They get a 5 star rating, too.

We stayed at this Honua Kai property for a week in July and it was our most memorable stay in Maui to date, and we've been 6 times! The condo was incredible! Two large bedrooms and 2 equally spacious bathrooms. Not to mention the livingroom was huge! Plenty of room for 4 adults and a 12 year! The kitchen had top of the line appliances along with every convenience we could ever need. The owner had thought of everything! From Tommy Bahama beach chairs with built in cooler components to boogie boards! Did I mention the view from the patio was breath taking! The ocean can be seen from the patio as well as a mountain view too. The grounds at Honua Kai are beautiful. There are several pools and my daughter fell in love with the killer Water Slide!! You can walk straight out from the pool to beach!! We ate at Duke's and it was delicious. They have a full service gym as well with numerous machines and free weights. It was such a pleasure to workout because it was so spacious. Honua Kai is beautiful and the owner has equipped this condo with everything you could possibly need to make your stay a pleasurable experience. We will be back next year for sure;-)
