We love the location and the pictures and condo were exactly what we expected. Pros:* great location, walkable to waikiki strip* cozy and comfortable* great and fast communication* nice touch having water & snacks in the room* close to elevator for quick access* a bunch of beach stuff on the patio to use * AC was on when we arrived so it wasn’t hot and humid in the room when we got there and didn’t have to try to figure it out how to turn it on* breakfast spot downstairs is yummy! 49er Cafe! Cons:* if you’re a light sleeper the night time traffic noise can keep you up* curtains don’t help in the mornings, gets super bright around 5:30/6 am.* the AC is fairly loud but tolerable * wish they offered more towels per person, stayed a week and only given 1 towel set each, forced us to use the wash onsite. * parking was a bit confusing at first having to get a ticket then an overnight ticket then linking them and sucks they don’t offer more than 5 day discounted tickets, spent overall 329 for 7 days.* the sofa bed legs aren’t stable and we fell over a few times cuz the legs movedOverall we would stay again cuz it’s perfect location and walking distance to so much! This was such a lovely place to stay with my wife and 2 eleven year olds. The location was great! Restaurants, shopping and the beach were all an easy walk away. The kids especially appreciated the thoughtful touch of providing boogie boards which they definitely tried and loved. The unit itself was exactly what we needed. The kitchen was well stocked with what we needed to save some money and cook a few meals for ourselves. It was spacious enough for us to relax once we were settling in for the night and had fantastic views to take in too. We would definitely recommend to others and stay again if we find ourselves lucky enough to be back in Hawaii. Thank you for sharing your place with us!

We have stated Island Colony before and this unit did not disappoint!! it is located right in the heart of Waikiki so everywhere we went was by foot. We are only a few blocks away from the beach and restaurants and shopping. Perfect in every way. The room was clean and comfortable. Thank you for the hospitality.

I was worried about booking the condo because the hotel itself didn't get good reviews. This condo was spectacular! Clean, no issues with bugs or anything. The hotel is older but you can't beat the location. We appreciated the larger space for our two adult daughters. My husband and I had a private master and they each had their own pull out, and we had a dinning area and kitchen. Both air conditioners worked great! The views were great of the river, and city. The location was just a handful of minutes to get to the Target, markets, food and entertainment. We took a shuttle that left from our condo lobby to Diamond head and this was so easy peasy. I would highly recommend staying here as I thought the price was competitive. The kids used the pool on the 6th floor and liked the amenities. We did find the parking garage to be difficult to park at first, until we went up a floor, and found it was empty!! ha ha The check in was so easy and the front desk person was always so helpful even though we booked through a condo, they were still super friendly.

Our stay was fantastic! Perfect location, walking distance from the beach and all the restaurants and night life. Very clean and comfortable. Everything we needed for our stay was there. Check-in and out was extremely easy. We would definitely recommend staying here if you are traveling with a small family. We travelled with two adults and two teenagers….there was plenty of room for us. I might not suggest it if bringing more people along as the space was limited. Overall, perfect stay!!

This place is ok for 2 people only. It is too tight for 4 people to live. The kitchen is too small, and it's hard to have complicated cooking.
Need to prepare ur own shampoo, conditioner and body wash, they only provide us 1 travel size for each of them. But we have 4 people and need to stay for 9 nights, it is definitely not enough.
Location is good.
This is not this property's problem. Our suggestion is do not open the door when you hear sound of door ring and knocking at night unless you know who is outside. Someone did this to us between 10PM~4AM, it had happened for many nights. We can not tell who is outside because there is no peephole on the door, we feel not safe.

We loved staying at this one bedroom condo and would definitely stay there again. We stayed for two weeks. There's a great ocean view from the living room and also from the lanai. Air conditioning worked great. Walking distance to the beach and the center of Waikiki. ( International market place) They do supply a few items like coffee and tea, for the first day or so, but didn't leave any sugar or creamer. Target is the best place to shop for groceries in Waikiki unless you want to take the bus to Don Quijote. Pool on the 6th floor is nice, but it gets windy in the afternoon. The host was very welcoming. Enjoy Waikiki and definitely see the Auana Cirque du Solei show. It was amazing. Book early. Ps, I lived in Waikiki for 8 years and love coming back. Aloha

Josh was a great communicator and so easy to work with. This unit was great- we loved having beds for each of our young adult kids. It was nicely located off the main drag, but still super easy to get there when we wanted. The balcony was a great place to unwind and relax at the end of the day. Came here on an anniversary trip and had the best time. The room was clean and stocked up on necessities. It had beach items (boogie board, beach chairs and snorkeling gear), fully stocked on towels and bed sheets. Just expect to wait a few minutes for the elevator due to it being a high foot traffic area and there being multiple floors, other than that no complaints. There are lots of restaurants close by and you can walk to, if you like shave ice there’s one 4 mins away from the hotel!

The property lived up to the description and expectations. Well located, my wife and I have stayed in the building before at another unit and this one was good. It was nicely appointed and well equipped, including cleaning supplies and tools so we could leave it as clean as found. Some units fall short there. The lanai view is lovely, revealing the ocean, mountains, Ala Wai canal, neighborhood and the Hilton fireworks (when they have them). The bigger fridge is a BIG plus and the kitchen is stocked with all prep tools if desired. The a/c works fine but could be helped with the addition of a ceiling or oscillating fan. Units on the Diamondhead side of the building get better cooling advantage from trade breezes, but a simple fan would equal that out in this unit. The hot tub is first rate. Staying on the upper floor helps with significantly less street noise. We periodically experienced some recreational smoke from another unit on the floor; too bad they didn't opt for edible fun. Our unit's a/c running with the bathroom fan on helped with this. We will be back at Island Colony again. Because so many units are full time homes, the entire operation is well kept and periodically updated, and you cannot beat the location.

Penthouse is misleading as it is the same suite as every other suite in the building only located on the second most top floor. The Bathroom was basic and smaller than most any other we have ever used. The Kitchen was small and is basically a hallway to the front door, closet and bathroom. The condo was clean, accommodated my family of four. My only complaints would be, there is no space the have luggage or put anything down. We were basically living out the hallway closet in order to not be tripping all over our stuff. The closets was pretty big, so that helped. The other would be the coffee. I was so disappointed that my only coffee option in the room was Folgers. I would hope being in Hawaii, we could get some decent Hawaii coffee at best.
Other wise, the Space was clean and homey, there were plenty of beach and pool items. The view was pretty cool. I love sitting on the balcony reading. Everything is with walking distance. We barely used our rental car. All and all, I would recommend.

Easy communications with hosts and was a plus to be able to book with the driver of limo. We utilized the limo for airport pick up and our luau evening. Would definitely recommend to stay. Window was missing a pane of glass, causing the A/C to not work. A/C fan is very loud, and constantly on to try and cool the room. King bed frame has broken slats and middle support, causing uncomfortable sagging and loud cracking noises. Shower tub drain did not work, tub fills with water when showering.

We enjoyed our time in this unit. The Lanai view of Diamond Head is exceptional. You also see the mountains & ocean. On a clear day you can see Molokai from the lanai. The building is centrally located in Waikiki so easy walking to the beach, restaurants and stores. The furnishings are nothing special, but the unit contained everything we needed for our month stay. The owner met us on arrival and got us registered into the building security system. It was great to have the owner as a contact in case of any issues. But there were no issues during our stay. My only improvement suggestion concerns the futon. Either get a new mattress or better, replace it with a nice love seat. Mahalo again to the owner for hosting us.

Wonderful unit, Right in the heart of Waikiki with amazing views, close to beach, shopping, bus stop, groceries, restaurants - practically everything. It’s all about location! Pros: Secure building, 180 degree view of Ocean and Mountains, updated unit with A/C, cute decor, lovely plush patio furniture, plenty of pillows and bath towels, comfy bed, lots of hooks to hang clothes/towels, 2 back-pack beach chairs Boogie board, onsite cafe and convenience store plus great communication with Host. Feedback: Door access code did not work, so we had to call for a new code from the Host. Neighbors can be noisy (which is expected in hotel/condos), so I always travel with a noise-machine and recommend one!! The sliding glass door is heavy and very loud when opening/closing as it bumps along the track. I highly recommend the entire building posts a “slide with care” sticker on every unit because it really is disruptive to those below you. Pool is not heated. No beach towels - bring your own!

This unit is centrally located in Waikiki and offers fantastic views of the mountains, city, and ocean. The one-bedroom layout, along with the sofa/Murphy beds in the living area, worked perfectly for our stay. We loved being able to enjoy both the morning sunrise and the beautiful golden sunsets. If you need parking, be sure to ask the attendant for detailed instructions on using a day pass (available after 10:00 a.m.). The host was very responsive and provided many helpful tips for exploring local destinations.

This was the perfect place to stay for my husband and I and our two teenage kids- we loved the balcony and since we were in the area during the Kona storms it was a real blessing to be protected from the rain- kids loved each having a bed. It was completely functional for what we needed- Parking onsite is expensive- and we had difficulty finding parking alongside the canal but other than that no complaints. The host was very very responsive and the building is very safe and ideally located. We felt the condo had a strongcleaning smell so we were happy that the big windows opened in the main living area.

Pros: Budget accommodation with a decent assortment of kitchen equipment. Location is alright and is near free parking, however you need good luck finding a spot, which can be several blocks away and make 10-20 minutes.
Cons: The A/C was loud enough to have a negative effect on sleep. Shower was dirty with a slimy inner curtain that had spots and discoloration. Main floor area had not been cleaned. The fold out couch did not come with a sheet, only a blanket; couch also is not meant for anyone over 5’8” to fully recline

We had a great stay here. We were a bit concerned about some of the reviews below about air conditioning and uncomfortable beds but that has been addressed since. There were mattress pads and a working air conditioner. Everything was as expected and the view of the city, ocean, and Diamond Head is spectacular. We spent a lot of mornings and evenings out on the Lanai. Blender worked well, it's just a bit outdated. The parking garage is very convenient and if you're going to park there, make sure to get the "flex pass" so you can go in and out as you please for one daily charge. What we cared most about was a safe place and a great view without breaking the bank and this worked for us. We used the grills a few times which was a nice option to offset buying three meals a day.

We are a family of 4 with two teenage girls. This place was PERFECT! A separate bedroom for parents and each kid had their own bed. A/C worked great. Ample beach supplies. 10 minute walk to the beach. We did pay for in and out parking when we arrived and it was well worth 94 for two nights. Host was responsive. I would definitely return!

The host checking us in was the only rude person we encountered on the whole island. He assumed I knew exactly how to check in and that I had our room number memorised which I hadn’t. We had just had a rough trip on the freeways of Hawaii which are a nightmare for an inexperienced driver in this type of congestion. A little kindness could have gone a long way.
