As you enter, you will find the fully equipped contemporary kitchen perfectly matching the whole design of the unit.
In the living room, you will find designer furniture: leather sofas, a sleeper, journal table all complimenting each other and perfectly forming the whole unique contemporary feel.
In the bedroom, there is queen size bed for your full recharge. Through the bedroom, you can go to the lanai, sit on a comfy sofa, sip your island drink and enjoy a fabulous sunrise, sunset and just ocean, mountain, park views.
Island Colony is a few steps away from the building is a large concentration of shopping centers, such as Waikiki Shopping Plaza, BeachWalk, and the International Marketplace.
There is truly no end to the stores to wander through, unique dining options, and entertainment such as Hula lessons or cultural shows closeby.
But, if you prefer to explore more of Waikiki or even the greater Oahu area, there are several transportation options.
There is a bus stop located 3 minutes from the Island Colony building.
There is also a Biki rental bike stand nearby, which can be used to explore Waikiki.
You will definitely enjoy all of the perks of the Island Colony condo itself, which offers a nice pool and Jacuzzi as well as the gym, BBQ and mini shop. - all at an affordable price compared to similar hotels in central Waikiki.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view was perhaps the best possible with the balcony setting giving the southern view of Diamond Head and Waikiki shops/beach, and the Living room giving the western view of Waikiki shops/beach and both allowing direct viewing of the ocean. We spent every morning and evening on the balcony enjoying the sunrise, and sunset with the living room windows that open fully allowing fresh area throughout the unit.

This apartment has an amazing view and location in the heart of Waikiki. Admittedly the building/rooms are not the most updated, the price and value makes up for it, and did I mention the view and convenience?? Do note that the bedroom has A/C, but the living room has a few fans accessible. There were even some bonus features that were nice additions such as lawn chairs, umbrella, board games, etc.

The property was good. The check-in process was fine until we tried to enter the room. The code to get in the room was incorrect and it took us over an hour to get I. Touch with the property manager. They have 3 phone numbers and none of them would pickup. The only reliable comes is through the VRBO messaging app but the delay is typically a couple of hours. The room only has a window AC and it’s in the bedroom. You have to keep all the shades pulled down during the daytime and put a fan at the entrance of the bedroom to blow out into the rest of the space to keep it from being really warm (we stayed here in late July). Overall the stay was good once we got past the initial entry to the unit.

We enjoyed the stay, room was clean, organized. The view from the living room and the lanai from the 43rd floor is awesome. I'd stay here again. During the last 3 days of our stay we discovered a short cut to walk to the Kuhio / Waikiki beach through the Internacional Market Place :)

Here are facts not included in the listing: - there are stains on the bedding, bed sheets, etc. (including brown stains and blood stains); - there is construction that was going on during my stay; contrary to the listing, it did not just impact use of amenities, it impacted the use of the unit itself; when I called management about this I was told that construction was over (even though it was going on as I was calling them...). - the water shut off; management claimed they did not know why, but permanent tenants stated that this happens often in the building Keep in mind as you make your booking. I would not have picked this place had I known the above.

Apartment is on 43rd floor as described. Nice view from both south terrace and west windows. Very close to most of Waikiki's things to do. Air conditioning is horrible, a little unit which doesn't cool down enough. We arrived and the temperature inside was 82 degrees F, with air conditioning unit running all day, we were able to bring it down to 78 deg.. Unit is super noisy, so you need to power it down if you want to get some sleep. Because you can't afford to open the door of the terrace to avoid heat to get back in, you really can't use the terrace. The towels were in an unacceptable condition, they smelled super bad, so we asked to get new ones downstairs, but the managing organization for the tower told us to contact the management. So we did call Lei Hawaii, spoke with a lady who barely spoke English. We never received new towels until I made a formal complain on the App. Got $300 refund and towels arrived with 4 days of delay. The unit to the side of the terrace (south side) is super noisy, you can hear all noise from time, because there is no noise insulation on the windows on that side, a bit better in the living room side. You end up sleeping with ear-plugs. Coffee pot under the coffee machine was not there (couldn't find it), so you have to brew coffee directly into the cups. Messy. The unit was not properly cleaned (plenty of sand everywhere) upon arrival. Parking is going to scam you, because you get a ticket to access the parking, and then you need to pre-pay the overnight, if you just try to pay directly by scanning the ticket you already got, you end up paying $50 per night instead of $35. For having paid more than $500 per night, there are better places to stay in town, will not stay again. Yes, the view is nice, as it is in much better towers nearby for the same price.

If you rent this unit you will receive emails from a couple different parties, which can be confusing. Just go straight to the Island Colony complex and don't go to the address of the group sending the email. Then check in at IC to get your fobs which grant you access in to the complex. If you want to use the workout facility on site pay the $5 right away as it is good for your stay. We enjoyed our stay, the other units were very quiet but the street is very noisy if your windows are open, which we did due to the noisy A/C unit in the bedroom. Bring your own condiments and spices as there aren't any in the unit.

We had a fantastic 2 weeks stay in this top notch apartment! The view from the 43 rd floor is of course, jaw dropping. The balcony is large and well appointed including an exterior sofa. Since this is a corner unit, you enjoy both the sunrise and the sunset. Another advantage of the corner position is that you always get a great draft throughout the entire suite since you can open the very large windows in the living room. As a result, we only used the a/c once during 2 weeks. Great comfortable bed, high-end furniture and a modern kitchen. Great communication with the property manager although we had no issue to report. 12-15 minutes walk to the beach with 2 Tommy Bahama beach chairs provided which was very handy The building is also very well managed including great pool area, security, clean laundry room, fast elevators, etc. You will not be disappointed. This has got to be one of the best units in the entire building !

It was easy to check in - we saved $10 per day parking behind the property instead of in the parkade by asking for another option when getting building fob . Great restaurants nearby - heavenly was great . Enjoyed the sunrise and sunset views when we were at the condo . Highly recommend it !

This property is as pictured, clean, amazing view of Diamond Head and Waikiki beach. Close walk to shops and restaurants. There was a continual breeze and no need for air conditioning. You can hear the street performers in the evening. Fully stocked kitchen with plenty of dishes, pots, pans, serving utensils. Full refrigerator and freezer as well as a bin for chilling drinks. Google the manual for the stove if you are unfamiliar with using a touch smooth top. Look through the coffee table book, “Waikiki, 9 walks through time” as soon as you arrive for great ideas where to visit, hidden gems, and the history of the city. The property has grills, pool, hot tub, sauna, store — all well kept. If you have a rental car, the parking garage is the easiest place to park and convenient. The bus system is efficient and for $5 you can ride all day with unlimited stops. There is a $2.00 charge for the reloadable pass and the fees are going up July 1, 2022. We roads the bus to Diamond Head (30ish minutes) so we could be in the park as long as we wanted. We saw bus service to the North Shore and all points in between! The Managment was quick to respond when we had questions. The lobby has key fob entry and a security guard. The elevators have key fob access for added security. Highly recommend this property!

We enjoyed the stay. My adult son and I had room to spread out without tripping over each other. I loved the outdoor space especially in the mornings. Great pool & grilling area on the 6th floor although we were so busy, we didn't really take advantage of it. Great location. Close to the beach and we enjoyed walking to the shopping center in the evenings where there was almost always live music. We utilized the city bus the first several days before picking up a rental car the second week to see more of the north shore on our own. The bus system worked great. Would definitely love to rent this property again if we have the opportunity for a return visit.

Reviewer Comments: Yes, we were satisfied with the property and would recommend this property to our friends but a few points are worth mentioning:Although the pool was closed for a few days we had to pay 5 Dollars each for the gym :-(Beach towels are only available for hotel guests :-(We asked for a late check out (1 pm) as recompense for the drill machine-noise pollution came from room 4319 which was under full renovation during our stay (starting at 7 a.m.). NO! We should pay 50 Dollars :-(No luggage storage after check out :-(

Other members of my family and I have stayed at Island Colony for decades. We knew the building was a great location and knew that the higher floors that face Diamondhead get great views so when we saw this place that gives you views on two different sides of the condo, it was a no brainer. The view towards Diamondhead from the lanai is terrific. Plus you get the canal, golf course, mountains, and ocean views along with being able to see Koko Head and Koko Crater. Then from the living room you get a great city and ocean view. Unless you stay right on the beach, which will not be cheap, the views this place offers will not disappoint. The unit itself seems to be recently renovated and everything was in good shape. The kitchen is very well equipped. A great fridge and freezer with an ice maker was nice to have. We stayed for 10 days and had plenty of towels and toilet paper, paper towel, shampoo, conditioner, and other things that made things comfortable. Could have used more hand soap. The place was maybe not cleaned as well as you may expect (don’t look under the bedroom furniture) but there are way too many positives with this place. We would definitely stay here again.

Tallest building in Waikiki with views of the ocean from afar and of Diamond Head. Nice to let the breeze flow through. No salt, pepper, oil or anything provided. One small bar of soap provided along with hotel size shampoo and conditioner. Kitchen is well equipped with everything except a dishwasher. Nice lanai to watch the sunrise from. Pool area is spacious and well kept. A great place if you like to be in busy, loud Waikiki!

We were very happy of our stay. Looks exactly like pictures! Check in was easy, loved the key less entry. Kitchen well equipped, stove a little difficult to use but we YouTubed it and was fine. Was a little scared to read reviews about AC only in the bedroom but honestly it wasn’t bad. We kept fan on in the living room and kept the windows open. I imagine it could be bad if it was humid but we were comfortable! Bed and pull out were comfortable, extra blankets/towels provided. Also loved that they provided 2 beach chairs! The pool was nice, only went once as of course we’d rather be at the beautiful beaches. Loved the convenience store! We went atleast once a day haha. What’ll really win you over about this place are the views! The view from the living room windows are amazing, honestly felt like we were looking over a balcony! The lanai has an awesome seating area and table where we’d have some meals, another amazing view—it was awesome to see the top of diamond head (and even more fulfilling after we hiked it!) Only con I’d say is the parking $35/day is pretty steep considering we stayed 6 nights. It’d be awesome if were included or even discounted. Also it would’ve been nice for the little cafe to be open downstairs in the lobby for coffee or a quick bite, but lots of nearby walkable options. Would most definitely stay there again and recommend it to all my family and friends!
