If you're looking for a condo with great views of the ocean and the mountains, choose the Nihi Kai Villas. This is a super location that puts you a minute's drive from Poipu beach - or if you prefer to walk, just a few minutes and you're on the beach! The south shore of Kauai is a great spot - not only is there lots to do here, but it gives you equidistant drives - west to the Waimea Canyon or north to Princeville.

This place, 522, was so organized, clean and comfortable. Very nice location with easy access to beaches. Ample parking, plenty of supplies in kitchen for blender, pots/pans, etc. As someone mentioned, no salt/pepper, oil, etc - so pick some up. But just wonderful, quiet place to stay and sit on the deck and watch the waves and the sunset. Will definitely want to stay here again!

They even let me schedule a late checkout since it was available the day we left. It was so nice to watch the sunrise and sunset from the lanai. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to make our own meals. Kitchen and living area are upstairs and bedrooms and nice updated bathrooms are down stairs. There was enough room to spread out. Beach items were provided like chairs, umbrella, a few boogie boards, coolers and towels. It would have been nice to have a wagon to walk all of the gear to the beach. It’s not far but can get cumbersome to carry everything. Parking was always easy to find. The few things that made me take a star off were the beds, mattress/bedding/pillows are in desperate need of a refresh. If I would have stayed any longer I would have went to buy my own pillows and sheets at Walmart. Also it can get uncomfortable with no air conditioner. Lots of fans are provided so it helps. Washer/dryer was a lifesaver and much appreciated. Overall this condo was a wonderful home base for our trip and I would recommend it to anyone traveling to Poipu!

We enjoyed our stay. There were 6 of us, including a grandfather and 3 kids. It was very nice to have access to a wagon, body boards, a cooler, beach chairs, umbrella. We could walk to two of our favourite beaches that were side by side: Poipu for snorkeling and hanging out, and Brennecke’s body boarding. The kids borrowed the pickleball equipment and enjoyed playing that as well. The unit has everything we needed: the kitchen was well stocked. Air conditioning was great.

The unit was beautiful and as advertised. The area is located a short walk to Brenakee beach and just a short drive to so many other hotspots. If your coming to Kauai for the 1st time, heed the warnings and get some food and drinks to enjoy at the resort. the grills and pavilion area make for a great spot to cook out and avoid the ridiculous cost of eating out all the time. The grouns are beautiful and are kept up nicely by Tim and his crew who really made our stay more welcoming. The unit was supplied by everything you woild need and then some. The owner, Steven was very helpful and easy to contact and was very prompt getting back to us almost immediately. The only suggestion we would have is to have a shade to have an option to cover the sliders in the living room area. We got married on shipwreck beach while we were there on 11-11-23 and cant even begin to explain what an amazing experience this trip was. Kauai is the most beautiful island we have ever been on.

Poipu is the place to stay for a home base in Kauai. Close, safe beaches, centralized access to the island, 15 miles from the airport. This rental back patio has some of the best views of Poipu's scenery/beach/ocean, being on the 3rd floor--even better than the local hotel beach views, in my opinion. The unit is situated so it catches an unobstructed, scenic view of the sunset. For getting the high view point, the unit is on the 3rd floor so it's a trek up 2 flights of stairs, so be mindful if you have trouble going up/down stairs. Very clean and well equipped. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, full kitchen. Equipped with beach chairs, cooler, boogie board. Absolutely no complaints and I would 100% come back here again.

Two 65 yr-old grandparents, a 30-something year-old daughter, a 3 1/2 yr old grandson, and 9 mo-old grandaughter. Recipe for disaster? NO! This condo made all the difference. The unit was in the far back of Nihi Kai, with an elevated view of the grounds and a tight view of the breakers on Poipu Beach. Very quiet, and grounds were beautiful. We walked daily from the unit to Poipu beach (and passed Brennecke's Beach along the way) with the grandkids in a stroller. Did have to spend some of the walk on a local road, but traffic was sparse and most drivers were respectful of pedestrians. The unit has a large main floor (stairs to access) with two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms downstairs. Ductless air conditioning heads on main floor and in both bedrooms worked well. No bathtub for small children, so be ready to improvise. Owner (Steve) was very responsive and great to work with. If we return to Kauai, we would certainly consider staying here again.

Our stay at this condo was relaxing and exactly what I needed - I had to postpone my arrival due to a pet emergency but my husband picked me up at the airport and as soon as I arrived at Poipu I started to decompress. The condo is large and airy - very comforable and I loved the decorations. The bed was super comfy and it was quiet. Perfectly located in that we were just a few minutes walk from a great beach and the views from the deck were wonderful. I plan to definitely come back !

It has all the amenities of home. The grounds are beautiful and the pool steps away (no noise from the pool). This studio is in a great location in a quiet, nice neighborhood only about an 8 minute stroll from Poipu Beach. It’s small and clean with a comfy bed and well-equipped kitchen. And manager Dan was always helpful with any questions or issues. If you’re looking for a luxurious, spacious sunny space where you can linger, entertain, and sip mai tais on a deck, this is not the choice for you. But, if like us, you wanted a good, basic, reliable non-hotel base location from which to do many great Kauai activities, this studio is a great grab. Would do it again. Oh, and don’t miss the dusk evening strolls to watch dozens of green turtles come ashore for the evening!

We had an amazing vacation at Poipu! The location is luxurious and the views are breathtaking. The place is good value for the money you pay. However, we encountered some issues during our stay. There were grimy cups in the kitchen, the light in the bathroom was not working, and ants where everywhere on the balcony. It would have been perfect if these issues were addressed. Additionally, we found it difficult to navigate through the numerous emails sent by the property manager. It would be helpful if they could consolidate the information into one email instead of sending multiple emails. This would make it easier for tenants to keep track of important information.

The apartment is perfect for a family vacation. The bedrooms downstairs allowed the adults to hangout after the kids went to bed, and the kitchen is well stocked for cooking meals. We also enjoyed using the beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels, and sand toys everyday - it made going to Poipu Beach easy and fun. This was a last minute change of plans vacation and we were not disappointed! It was our first trip to Kauai and this location could not be beat- close to sandy beaches, food, happy hours, walking paths and more. The grounds were absolutely beautiful and meticulously maintained. Our family enjoyed the beach in the morning and the pool in the afternoon. Most nights we took in the sunset from the condo deck listening to the ocean. The unit is well stocked with everything you need. We also liked the option to cool the bedrooms with a little AC before sleeping but mostly opened the patio doors and windows to simply enjoy the breeze. We can’t wait to come back again.

We walked to the beach every single day, multiple times per day. The condo is clean and the beds comfortable. The view is a little far off, and you can't hear the water, but we had rainbows every day! One day we got stuck in a rainstorm and had to turn back to the condo so we went swimming in the pool for a little bit until the rain passed. The pool was warm and clean. We liked this condo and grounds were pretty. The air conditioning worked well.

The Beachcomber is a quiet / comfortable studio condo with a kitchenette, closet, bath/shower, and king size bed.
The kitchen is pretty well equipped and the outside grill is just a bonus. We initially thought the refrigerator was not working properly, but we just put too much room temp food in there and it took a while to cool it. It functions fine.
The sliding glass door is a bit of a trick to lock, but it works fine as well.
The property is close [1 block ] to the beach / sunset views and convenient to the airport, grocery, restaurants, etc.
Laundry facilities are excellent and much appreciated.
Warning: If you feed the chickens, they will become your best friends.

This is my third time renting with Scott/Chad and their properties are always so clean and comfortable. The villa at Nihi Kai Villas was exactly as described/photographed. The location was excellent and so close to everything in Poipu / Koloa. Especially loved the pool as you could see and hear the ocean! And it was so convenient having parking outside the door as well. I would absolutely stay at this Nihi Kai Villa again!

We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. Loved the decor and the lanais. Nicest decor I’ve seen in a rental. We enjoyed coffee on the upstairs lanai every morning. The view was nice. You could see the mountains and the ocean from a distance.
The downstairs lanai were relaxing too. The condo was well Stocked. I made a casserole and found everything I needed. There were plenty of spices that were available to use. More than enough bath towels, hand towels, wash clothes and beach towels. More than needed for 4 people. The beds were very comfortable, although I wish that we had brought our own pillows. Loved being able to control the air conditioner by room. We turned it off during the day, and when we came back it cooled quickly. The only thing I would change is the couch and chair. We watched a few movies at night, and I found them to be uncomfortable. And, the water didn’t get as hot as I like. We noticed it was more lukewarm once everyone took a shower in the morning.
They also have plenty of beach chairs, an umbrella, several sizes of coolers (ice maker in freezer was nice to add ice to the small cooler) and a nice beach buggy to lug everything to the beach. Beach is close and can walk. It is downhill though. We actually drive down and dropped everything off, then parked back at the condo and walked back to the beach.
I would definitely stay here again.

This was our second time staying at Nihi Kai Villas. The property has one of the best locations in Kauai, right at Poipu beach. It has beautiful landscaping throughout and a deep in-ground pool that is perfect for lounging and looking out over the blue waves. The condos are a bit dated (built in the 70’s) but we knew that when we booked and still loved it! Also no A/C but we just opened all the slats on the windows and let the cool ocean breezes blow thru the condo. It really cools down nice at night.
As mentioned, we’ve stayed at Nihi Kai twice now and plan on coming back again and again! Our favorite spot on Kauai!

The studio is in a great location with an easy stroll to Poipu beach; so if you are going to be out and about all day, this would be a fine, reasonably priced crash pad. But if you are looking for a peaceful respite, I would not recommend. I needed to get some work done during my week stay and almost every day had leaf blowers, lawn mowers, and weed wackers going. For hours (either at this property or neighboring properties). The place is tired and not well kept - light switches fritzed out, coffee maker had mold, pots and pans were stained, bathtub had a hasty paint job to hide the rust. The place is dark and loud. You hear every conversation, shower, and toilet flush from the other vacation units in the building. Access to laundry is a plus and the local treats left in the fridge were a big plus (yum mac nuts!).

Access to the property was very easy. The place was perfect for my wife and I. The beach was a short walk away. The property owner was very quick to respond to my inquiry about access to the pool and fitness center. Having access to the pool and gym is just a short drive away. We enjoyed the property very much! Thank you!

The condo was just as pictured and was extremely well stocked with everything you could think of. We really enjoyed having the bedrooms downstairs. We could keep them cool for sleeping and have the upstairs air conditioner off and enjoy the fresh ocean air. The pool was never crowded and a nice afternoon break. The complex was quiet and well maintained. The location was perfect for us. We spent many days hiking on the island and were also able to enjoy beach days by the condo. Poipu beach is about a 5 minute walk and Shipwreck beach is about a 20 min walk through a nice greenbelt. We hope to return someday!

The condo was as described, well-appointed and comfortable. We appreciated the provided beach towels, chairs and other beach gear. It's a very easy walk to a fantastic beach. The manager was very prompt in responding to questions.
The kitchen was well supplied and in a nice touch they supplied coffee filters and a welcome pack of Kauai coffee. They provide helpful charging stations for devices as well.
The main BR is a bit tight on space but that's fairly shown in the photos. The parking is super convenient, the pool is nearby, and the location is great for visiting many parts of the island.

The place was great. Good location, walked to Brennecke’s beach several times. Condo was well-stocked with kitchen, bath and beach supplies. Beds were comfy and air conditioning was well appreciated. Boys enjoyed playing tennis. They really liked that they could walk to the beach.

Great property for family vacation. Walking distance to great beaches. Property was fully stocked - snorkels, beach chairs, coolers, umbrellas, etc. Very convenient check-in and out. Very nice condo with great balconies and beautiful landscaping and easy parking. We will definitely stay here again!

This place was a perfect place to stay for our first trip to Kauai! Location was great, being only about a 5 minute walk to Poipu Beach and a good central location to other spots on the island (Waimea Canyon, Hanalei, and airport.) The place was clean and met all of our needs. Would recommend!

A beautiful and very clean place with a modern and fully equipped kitchen. The decor of the condo is wonderful and captures the aloha spirit of Kauai. The rental is steps away from Brennecke’s and Poipu beaches. My family and I will always remember our time spent at Nihi Kai!
