Beautiful condo with great water view. Very comfortable. Plenty of beach equipment including boogie boards, snorkels, beach chairs and towels. Even coolers! Owner is very responsive and answered questions quickly before our stay. Clean and lots of supplies like spices and oils etc. Would definitely stay here again!!

The owner is very professional, efficient and accommodating. The property is very close to restaurants and dining options. Grocery is only a few mins drive. The condo does not have air conditioning so be prepared for humidity. Some electric fans in the home does not blow enough air. Overall a great place except for the absent of an AC.

Our stay was good. The lanai has a direct view of the ocean, which is fantastic for watching sunsets. The location is nice. The condo has mostly everything you'd need for your vacation.
As against the description states, I don't think this would qualify as "luxurious" in 2023. A few reasons: this is on top floor, and there's no elevator. The 2nd bedroom isn't a real one, but section of the living area carved out. The bedroom gets noise from nearby residents (windows aren't good enough)

Our stay was incredible. The oceanfront view was so beautiful to wake up to each morning. The condo also had everything we were looking for and even had a booklet for recommendations around the Big Island. We also appreciated the beach towels and chairs for our beach and snorkel days. The condo is also a comfortable walk or short drive away from town for good coffee, restaurants and shopping too. Jim was also an excellent host and was communicative from the beginning of our stay to the end. Highly recommend staying here in Kona. Aloha!

Me and my family had an amazing time in kona, this place was near restaurants and the other activities. I would have preferred better fans for the hot summer days but was hardly an issue. Would stay again if ever in the area.

The house doesn’t have A/c which we were aware of. However, if you open all the windows and back door the breeze was perfect along with the sound of the water hitting the rocks. This property isn’t on a beach but it has great views, a pool, and a couple beaches within 5 minutes on both sides. Magic sand beach is amazing for the family. Beautiful snorkeling, white sand beach, beach volleyball, a little bit of everything for everyone. The home has beach gear that you can use. We were not aware of this and didn’t realize till the last day but the gear is in the bedroom closet. The home is right by downtown Kona which was nice. Lots of people out running and walking. Really feels like your at home.

Jim and JoAnn's condo was great! From the oceanside location with spectacular sunsets every night, cleanliness of the space, it had all the amenities I was looking for. A quiet location where the loudest thing you hear is the waves crashing on the seawall below. The condo is very spacious and the beds ever very comfortable
Jim was very responsive with communication. I would definitely recommend this rental.

Thank you for the nice experience. The location of the apartment is great. The apartment was clean and everything was very well prepared. The arrival and key handover worked great. The communication with the owner (Jim and Joanne) in advance worked very well. The apartment is equipped with everything you need for your vacation. We felt very comfortable. From breakfast on your own balcony you could watch dolphins in the wild. The balcony was very nice and large and you had a direct view of the ocean and could enjoy the sunset in the evening. The kitchen has all the amenities you need for cooking. For a great day at the beach, everything you need is on site, whether it's a sun lounger or parasol. Thank you very much, we would love to come back.

The location was close to town, easy to find. Beds were very comfy. The view of the ocean from the lanai was fabulous everyday. We saw whales on our first day there! Communication with Jim was easy.

This was a great location and view. Conda was in good shape. Needs a new dishwasher, but we made it work.
The unit is 1 bedroom technically but can sleep 4 or 2 couples. Would stay here again.

This condo was in a great location. It was close enough to town that you could easily walk to it if you wanted, or could take a short walk to the trolley station. It was clean and comfortable. The pool was nice and clean. It was very nice to be able to sit on the lanai and watch the ocean and sunset. It had everything you needed in the kitchen and for the beach adventures. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

We’ve just returned from staying at this property while we were in Kona to support our daughter in the Ironman World Championship, and it was a wonderful place to stay. It was well-furnished, nicely decorated, and has a great view of the ocean from the lanai. The owner was extremely prompt in responding to our questions before our trip, and the condo was everything we could have hoped for.

The property was really nice and very comfortable for our group of 4. We loved sitting out on the lanai having coffee or drinks and enjoying the amazing view. The way the apartment is set up with the shoji screen to separate the main bedroom from the living area made for equal parts of spaciousness and privacy when needed. There is a lockable front door screen that we kept open whenever we were in the apartment, and it created a wonderful cross breeze between the front door and the lanai screen door. There is a screen tucked in beside the washer dryer combo that the other couple used in the evenings. It allowed them to keep their bedroom door open to take advantage of the cross breeze from the front door and their bedroom windows to the lanai and still have privacy.
The kitchen was well appointed with all the dishes, serving dishes, plastic storage containers and utensils we needed.
The bathrooms were clean and well stocked with towels.
The second bedroom has a closet containing beach chairs, coolers, boogie boards and beach towels. There was also a box of games to play in the evenings while enjoying the view and/or the comfort of the lanai. The lanai has a table and chairs, where we ate our meals, plus a lounge chair and 2 additional deck chairs.
It’s obvious that the owners take pride in their property and we felt honored to be staying in their home away from home. We will definitely stay here again when/if we visit the big island again. Aloha and Mahalo.

The views and the location are amazing! We watched dolphins playing right off the lanai in the mornings and evenings and enjoyed the most beautiful sunsets. Since this is a second home we appreciated all of the little conveniences on hand (seasoning, coffee, laundry) and easily ran to Safeway to refill anything we used. When we needed to contact the owner he answered our call and helped us out right away. We loved being able to walk to town and just relax. Everything was perfect and we will definitely keep the location in mind for future Big Island visits.

Amazing waterfront views from the lanai; great sunsets. Roomy enough for 2 couples. Everything you need is in the suite from kitchen equipment to outdoor gear! Around a 20 minute walk to downtown and a surfing beach ~5 minutes away. Overall a great place to stay and we would come back. Jim is a super friendly and accommodating person!

My husband, my mom and I stayed here for a week. The condo is well kept, with a lovely sunset view from the spacious lanai. There is a sliding wall and Murphy bed which could be put up if you wanted more “living room” space during the day, but we left it as a bedroom, and still had plenty of space to be comfortable.
The location is easy to find from the airport, and conveniently close to stores and restaurants. Great home base for our fun trip!

This condo has everything you need for a comfortable trip. Kitchen was well supplied, good internet, beach gear, nice pool and gorgeous views. We had a great time! My only caveat was that there was no AC. We had high 80's weather with very high humidity which for us, coming from Seattle in June, was a shock to the system. If that isn't an issue for you I highly recommend this place!

We loved staying in this well-maintained unit with a spacious lanai and beautiful sunset views over the ocean. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment and some pantry staples, since this is the owners' second home, and everything is organized with clear information. We appreciated the large-capacity washer and dryer right in the unit. A great value -- we would definitely stay here again!

This was a beautiful property to stay at! It had an amazing ocean view and nothing beat the sound of the ocean to lull you to sleep! The sunset views every night we’re stunning. The condo was well stocked and they even provided coolers, chairs, umbrella and sand toys to use! The pool facilities were wonderful as well. Highly recommended for families!

Really loved this place! Very roomy with everything you could possibly need to enjoy Kona. Comfortable beds and kitchen well stocked, beach towels, chairs, umbrella and several different sized coolers to choose from. Spent most of our time on the large lanai and had every meal out there. Had wonderful communication with very friendly owner and also the women (Jen) who cleans it which lives right there at the complex and gave us her cell number if we needed anything who was also very friendly and helpful. We would definitely be back!!!

This condo was just fabulous. We loved the large lanai and spent a lot of time out on it when home. It had a great view of the sunsets! The condo was very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. Loved hearing the waves crashing on the rocks all night long. The walk to downtown was about a mile, but not bad. The downtown area is really great with restaurants and shops. This was a good location on the island.
We did a few day trips: to the rain forest (which I highly recommend, but don't forget the umbrella from the condo), to Waimea, and a few beaches to snorkel. We did not get to the volcano or Hilo this trip. There is so much to do. We will definitely stay here again.

Pros: Condo and condo complex are well-maintained; Ocean view from the lanai is lovely; kitchen was recently updated; condo has parking and is conveniently located; complex pool is wonderful and lightly used; condo owner is very responsive.
Cons: The second bedroom is "created" via sliding shoji screen-like panels and a Murphy bed; one of the bathrooms had a persistently unpleasant odor (which didn't affect the rest of the condo and the owner said he plans to address this); Bible passages and other Christian messaging are incorporated into the condo's decor.

Loved our stay here! Nothing could beat the view and most nights we had dinner right out on the balcony watching the sunset. We LOVED the lanai and all the views we got all day including sunsets and dolphin activity. Could hear the ocean waves crashing all day long. The property is equipped for all that is needed in a home and the holiday experience. Not having AC is manageable with ample fans around the property.
