My partner and I stayed in this beautiful villa for a week in June. Everything was perfect. The finishes and furniture were designer level, the bed very comfortable, and the kitchen included everything we needed plus more! The view is amazing and the location is an easy walk to 2 major hotels on a beautiful trail. What really distinguishes this experience were the hosts. They were so welcoming and responsive to our every need. I highly recommend this villa and can’t wait to return.

We chose this property because of the location and proximity to other places we wanted to visit. The condo has every kitchen appliance and utensil you could ever imagine. It was absolutely perfect!
Carol was very accommodating for all our requests. She made restaurant suggestions that were all spot on perfect.
Living in this condo is nothing short of paradise!!!

The Villas at Kapalua are nestled along the northwest shores of Maui. The views from this villa are spectacular. The place was clean and very well appointed. The price was fair and we would stay here again if the opportunity presents itself.

We stayed at this unit for our 30th wedding anniversary and from the pre booking question and information gathering to the arrival, Carol was an amazing host. This home was absolutely worth every penny. It’s features and location were unmatched. . My only recommendation for an improved stay would be to utilize black out shades to improve the cooling of the main living space. Beyond that, we would DEFINITELY recommend this to family and friends.

The unit is spectacular. No other way to describe. Sparking clean, gorgeous views of the ocean, crashing waves on rocks, Molokai out of the picture window. Convenient to multiple lovely beaches, walking paths, restaurants, markets, resorts. Unit is a roomy one bedroom, stocked for every vacation convenience and luxury. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and everything works well. The owner is wonderful, we had only a couple very minor issues on arrival, and they were taken care of immediately. She’s beyond helpful. Could not recommend a West Maui rental beyond this one.

My boyfriend and I have been waiting years to go to Hawaii as it was a dream trip. This villa was a huge part of the success of our trip. From the moment we booked it, Carol was responsive, helpful- she sent us info sheets on the area, restaurants to try, stores for things we might need and local insights. I just cannot say enough about her communication/ responsiveness. The Unit was BETTER then the pictures portray. I would come back to the same unit in a heartbeat. You can walk right out to your own space, catch the beautiful trail that runs along the cliffs right in front or walk right around the corner to the most beautiful pool. The kitchen was STOCKED and we loved the two bathrooms. Bed was PERFECT- we are picky about mattresses but this one was so luxurious. The resort area has the absolute best restaurants within walking distance and spas. No matter what you want out of a Hawaiian vacation, you will get it with this Unit to come home to at night. My boyfriend is a real estate investor by trade and is now looking into buying a unit in the complex after our stay. If this Unit is available, jump on it. I promise you wont be dissapointed!

Every morning the view took your breath away. We planned on dining out quite a bit but between the kitchen set up and the view, we only made it out to dinner once.
The owner, Carol, was awesome.

We have stayed on Coast around the world. This was one of the most spectacular. This particular unit is perfectly located. Watching the waves crashing up on the rock ledges from our patio was perfect. The Coast Trail is a great hike. And the stars were so bright at night you could almost visualize the lines of the constellations between them. We loved it.

Every time we vacation to Maui, I never want to return home. This property didn’t make our decision any easier. The accommodations are first class. The location is second to none. My only complaint (and I’m really having to stretch to find something to complain about) is their was no ice cream scoop! A regular spoon sufficed!

A unique villa with spectacular view and amenities. The actual villa is beyond it’s description and photos. Not possible to describe breath taking views that you see every mornings and evenings. Although we arrived right at the time of the bush fire close to highway 30 and stuck in traffic for hours, it was heartwarming and relief to have a reliable, kind and thoughtful host, Carol, who gave us wise advices about the roads, area and alternatives. Some things that I would have liked to know about the condo prior to our booking:
1. The kitchen is really great - stocked very well. Something that I really appreciated was that the owner allows renters to "pass things on" to subsequent renters - ie., spices, sugars, seasonings, aluminum foil, plastic storage containers, etc. That was very helpful.
2. I also really appreciated that liquid clothes' detergent is provided for the renters and we didn't have to buy our own.
3. Three things that were disappointing: 1. The owner advertises the luxury soaps and shampoos that she provides in the description of the condo. It is true, they are provided. However, the amount of shampoo provided is really only for one day. So renters should be prepared and bring their own. 2. The condo is nice - but it is not at all private. It is oceanfront as advertised but in this case, oceanfront also means it is situated on a very public walking path that people use quite a bit. The condo is almost like a fishbowl - tons of glass on the back side allow for a great view of the ocean, but other building guests and tourists can see directly into the unit when the blinds are not closed. 3. Finally, I really wish that I would have known how fragile the bed frame and how old the mattress and box spring are. We couldn't figure out why, in a nice condo, the bed was so old and so extremely uncomfortable. The king bed's frame appears to be very damaged, with small poles underneath the bed propping the mattress and box spring up. The mattresses and box spring are twins pushed together and they appear to be at least 25 years old. The result is that the bed is beyond soft - it was painful for me to sleep on. When I asked the owner if there were other sleeping pillows available (in order to support my back), she responded quickly but very negatively. For any potential renters who have back issues: I cannot overstate how soft and therefore uncomfortable the bed is. Very unfortunate.

Immaculate, attention to detail and a host that really cares about her guests. We arrived after dark and the lights and air conditioning were on for us. The next morning I saw the ocean view out the villa and all I can say is WOW! Simply breathtaking!! The villas furnishings are exceptional and the art work was incredible. The kitchen is equipped with absolutely everything you could need or want and all top quality. It was a peaceful and relaxing trip for us. The details the owner provided us before our arrival were extremely helpful and enabled us to hit the ground well informed. I'll be back. This is the best vacation I've ever had! If you want a top notch unit look no further. You can't find one better than this one..and I've stayed in many in the Bay Villas.

No good deed goes unpunished! Writing good reviews is a lot like that: it makes it WAY tougher to book in future years. I am only writing about this place because the Owner is amazing. If it's possible for an Owner to be as great as the stay, this is it!
Through 3 points I’d like to exemplify the value in the Villa’s features and location for your Maui stay.
POINT 1: One may be hesitant to book the Villa because of the cost but let me start by saying there ARE other villas in the same development which are rentals. HOWEVER, this specific Villa is positioned closest to the water. There’s a rocky outcropping at the shoreline just below this Villa where the waves crash into the rocky “V” sending vibrations onto shore & echoing into your chest. These rocky spots are ideal to view sea turtles feeding on the rocks under violent waves. We sat for hours simply watching the surf from the lanai, when weather moved in we did so from the chairs looking out through the slider door. And, something most folks don’t realize, the stars from Maui (and especially the very carefully developed Kapalua area) allow some of THE BEST star-gazing in the United States. So, reclined on a lounger from the lanai you have endless hours of plenty to see when you look up at night. If you truly want a waterfront locale to spend your vacation, this is it! Well worth the cost of lodging for this specific Villa!
POINT 2: People who visit Maui often think they have to see all points of interest on the island during their short stay. Unfortunately, most everyone visiting the island is driving around. A vacation in a car is not really a vacation for me. If, however, you want to relax please consider this location. We were able to snorkel almost daily & didn’t drive or walk more than a few minutes. So, the location of the Villa offers plenty to do without having to spend your entire vacation in the car.
POINT 3: This Villa has everything that you would need from a fully stocked kitchen (we cooked all but 3 meals at the Villa for 9 days) to beach gear, to most importantly an Owner who cares about the enjoyabliity of your stay with inside intel on discounted meals to where & how to shop. Most important to note is this is a rental which is a second home so you feel at-home-on-vacation.
So, in summary, this rental is worth every penny if you are visiting Maui to relax and want to feel like you’re at the ocean. Like many other reviewers you won’t want to leave. Enjoy!

We spent five days here at Carol's stunning condo. I can't say enough about the property, it's a perfect location and beautifully renovated. This place is everything it appears to be and more. Carol was very responsive to questions and follow-up. The place was perfectly clean as a whistle. We can't wait to go back.

This home is one of the best vacation homes I've rented. Carol did an amazing job renovating. The view of the ocean is priceless!! I am definitely renting this home again when I come back to Hawaii!!
