We loved our stay! We arrived to find everything exceptionally clean and we were so comfortable throughout our stay. We were just steps from the gorgeous beach, where you can see Molokai from the sand.
We were able to walk to restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery stores. We were also just down the street from the resorts so we were able to access those easily to eat or shop as needed. This was perfect for a couple and we would definitely return again!

We loved our stay at Hale Kai #103. The building itself is in a really great location of West Maui adjacent to Honokowai Beach Park and close to the best beaches like Ka'anapali, Napili, Honolua, etc. Unit #103 is situated right at the water's edge and next to the park so the kids can climb the tree, search for shells, play at the park, and with the reef so close to the sand, it provides a nice barrier for younger kids to play in the surf safely. The pool is nice and overlooks the water. Plus the condo itself had all the amenities one would need for their stay in Hawaii.

The view from this condo is beautiful. The condo is well stocked with dishes, utensils, pots and pans. They also have beach chairs and an umbrella to use which came in very handy. The pool area is very nice with comfortable lounge chairs. The location is across the street from coffee shop,small farmers market, snorkel rental shop. I would highly recommend this condo..

We arrived the day of the firestorm. It was WINDY coconuts were falling on the road. We had no electricity or communication and worst no propane (we heard that they've been out of propane for 2 wks) residents were preparing their food going down to the BBQ to find out there was no way to cook their food- We had to toss eggs & shrimp etc. Thankfully Latino mkt opened Wednesday and we got 2 cans of bean, tortilla, cheese to make a burrito which was our only meal on Wed & Thurs - We weren't able to do any of the tourist things & understandably not at no fault of Hale Kai. Don the Mgr? at the condos was as helpful as he could be. The radio kept saying for road conditions go to but that was impossible with NO internet. Don would pass on what he heard. We got a flight out on Friday morning. So please take this into consideration when you read my answers to the question. We weren't able to go anywhere. Luckily the people where nice & the place/view was comforting. I'm sure any other time I'd give it a 5 star....maybe 4 because the propane would have help numerous guest.

Hale Kai is a wonderful location. When🤘the wind was blowing the pool was awesome and when it was calm the beach was right out my door. Everything I needed was close enough to walk to. If there wasnt a toddler upstairs wailing and running around the entire time, it would have perfect. I love kids but next time I book, it will not be on the bottom floor. Live and learn!! I cannot say enough good things about this condo. It's location is the BEST in Maui. I could be bias as we haven't stayed anywhere else but I don't think we ever will. We checked out the high priced resorts and we knew we got the better deal.
While there are no private beaches in Maui, our back yard felt exclusively yards. Often we were the only ones out there, or shared with a fun of the other condo families. It was perfect.
The overlooking pool chairs were amazing for viewing turtles and I'd imagine whales if you travel during the right time. The pool was great to chill in when the beach seemed too much to do (haha).
Easy parking. Easy walk to our favorite Maui farmers market! Avocado sandwich! And so much more.
The condo was pristine and clean. Very well organized for visitors to feel at home. Often the clutter while traveling overwhelms me but these owners thought of everything! There were so many empty baskets, decorative bowls and plates throughout to help stay cleaned and organized. The kitchen was well stocked. Cards to play, chairs to sit, boogie boards. Everything was thought out. I may be the only one to appreciate the organization of this condo but I APPRECIATE IT!
I almost didn't want to review this so I can keep it to myself. But, I guess I'll share! MAHALO and AHOLA till next time! AND THERE WILL BE A NEXT TIME!

Location, location! The condo was close to beautiful beaches and restaurants. We did not have to travel far. Most wonderful thing was the pool/sunset view area. Easily accessible and perfect view to see the sea turtles eating in the evening before sunset. The condo had all the amenities needed to be comfortable and smells amazing upon arrival!

Loved the area. More residential than commercial, which was perfect for us. The bedrooms were nice! We loved being able to leave all the windows open. The pool is right on the ocean. The little beach there is only accessible at low tide, which was fine for sticking your feet in. There's no a/c, so people need to know that. It was fine for us. The beds were okay. The bed in the loft is a bit hard for my taste. The location was perfect. Our trip to Road to Hana was amazing! We were there for my son's wedding and it was a perfect setting. We enjoyed the aquarium.

We had such a wonderful stay here. This was our first time to Maui and first time traveling with our kids! We knew we needed space and this gave us just that. Not to mention incredible views from the balcony and the pool area. Having the beach just outside the condo was magical and made for convenient evening swimming with the littles! Same goes for the pool area which is open till 9!!

Location, furniture, access to parking, laundry and supplies were excellent! I am very disappointed with the cleanliness of the condo -The fans were so dirty and full of lint that I chose not to use them. (guest services quickly replaced the dirty fans) -Curtains in the bedrooms and living room had a lot of dirt and big stains -the couch, chair and chairs in the dining room had big stains If the above would have been cleaned and had clean curtains I would definitely give it a higher rating

Our trip to Maui was made even more pleasant by the accomodations at the condo at Hale Kai! The incredible location, close to so many great beaches and restaurants and the best of all...the pool to relax in after a day filled with outings! The condo was comfortable with everything that was needed to make it feel like a home away from home. I would definitely look forward to returning as this was nothing less than My Perfect Stay!

When we went it was the last week of May and it was in the mid-80's. There are some older folks that live within the complex, not really happy to see the kids around, but it wasn't a deal breaker. The linens are top notch, great set up in the kitchen with all the appliances you could need. Boogie boards and beach chairs are in the closet as well as beach towels for everyone in your party. Definitely would go back!

The location is fine, and the beach on the right side of the condos was nice. Not overly crowded and we saw sea turtles, which was great. The description of the property made it seem that there were fans in the room and plenty of them…..this is inaccurate. Yes, there was a ceiling fan in the living room and bedroom that did absolutely nothing to cool the place down. There were no other fans in the unit. The condo was hotter than the outside temperature and NEVER cooled off now matter how many windows we opened. For us it was miserable. I will never stay anywhere that doesn't have air again. In addition, there is no laundry room in the unit, but a community coin laundry across the complex. The listing also made it seem that there were resident BBQs, however there are only two which again were located on the other side of the complex that to be honest we weren't sure if they were for the residents of our condos or the ones next door. Lastly, the shower temperature would be freezing and then turn extremely hot all of sudden and then go cold again. The unit was clean although we couldn't find a broom and would have liked to have swept after the beach days.
To that note, my perfect stays was very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. While we would not stay at this particular place again we would definitely use my perfect stays again. They let us access the unit early when we arrived prior to 4 which was awesome. The person I spoke with (Debbie) was wonderfully friendly and helpful. When we entered the room they had even left some snacks and had a concierge available to help us book things to do.

We rented this condo for our wedding week in Maui. I LOVE that it is more secluded than on a resort, we basically had the whole pool to ourselves for the week! The unit is nice and well equipped with things you would need everything. I loved the Lani, minus that the beach was loud really late at night and really early in the morning. It is a very walkable area which was really nice.
The only reason I took away a star is because the beach is not the best. The park is dirty, rocky, and LOUD all day and night. There is a small sliver of beach on the property, but rockier than other areas.

Our family of 5 stayed here comfortably. The unit is spacious and we never felt on top of one another. Plenty of necessities to get you by for the first few days, including all of the beach chairs and umbrellas. Walking distance to so many good places to get coffee and eat great food. Great views, clean and quiet. The property is VERY well cared for. Having the pool was also nice when we were tired of being in the ocean. Pictures are accurate besides the bunk beds, they are now separate twin beds. The ONLY downside is how hot it gets (not the owner's fault). The condo would definitely benefit from an a/c unit. We will be back again and will not hesitate to book this condo!

Rented 1 bd condo for a week. Located right along the beach park/ocean. It was the best location, walkable to several restaurants and listening to the ocean at night. Condo was relatively quiet too except the occasional kid up at 4 am- poor parents. Condo itself is clean, simple but has everything for basic cooking. Our kids slept on the fold out couch- not comfy, but they didn’t seem to care. Bed was decent. Not squishy so that was good. Would stay again!

We stayed in unit 104. I found this condo unit lacking in privacy and security. The unit is just feet away from a public park with park visitors sitting uncomfortably close to our door. In the evening, it is dark which does not allow for us to see out, but park visitors can easily look into our unit. The front door of this unit had a very flimsy locking mechanism.
