We normally stay at the Kaanapali Ocean Resort where we have a two week, ocean front timeshare that we love. However, we decided to try the Papakea resort for two nights adjacent to our time at the KOR, and I found this lovely unit, C307, quite charming. This is a great property for anyone seeking a quieter, less expensive location that still has the amazing views you get further south. The condo itself has everything one needs, including beach chairs, boogie boards, beach towels, etc. and is well appointed throughout. This is an excellent value for your money, and was quite comfortable for the two of us for two nights. We would have stayed longer if we had had the time. The owner was very responsive from start to finish, and the people we met poolside were long time, repeat visitors which says a lot about the property. We knew about the Papakea from friends back home who have been coming here for many years, and we knew the location was convenient to the Times market and the fish market, two places we frequent when we stay in Kaanapali. Pizza Paradiso down the street is one of our favorite casual dinner stops as well. This is a winner.

Beautifully updated. Great views of the ocean and koi ponds. You can leave the screen door open at night and let the water lull you to sleep. Condo stocked with everything you need plus more... even had beach towels. I'll definitely be back!

This is the perfect location for us. We've been guests here a number of years in a row. The condo has recently been upgraded with stainless steel appliances, new sofa and new bedroom set. The owners are available and ready to assist with any problems (they've been small ones!). There are a number of restaurants close by and new this year is the addition of numerous food trucks within a block of the condo. Times grocery and the ABC store are just steps away. The property and grounds are meticulously maintained.

We spent our last 2 nights on Maui here. This studio condo was as described, and perfect for 1 to 2 people. It was clean and tidy when we arrived. Jennifer's unit is lovely. Location was very nice....convenient access to grocery store, ABC store, small outdoor restaurant with fresh seafood or chicken or steak/rice/veggie plates, farmer's market and short drive to Whaler's village. Good shower pressure, okay bed/pillows (comfort wise), everything you might need in the kitchen (pans, coffee maker, etc) and beach towels/bath towels provided. It's an easy walk to the ABC store to pick up anything else you might need. We spent our last morning here sipping coffee in a chaise lounger near the beach wall (Molokai is straight across the ocean and makes a beautiful backdrop). The sound of the ocean and view was spectacular. We never encountered a problem finding parking on site, staff at the desk was helpful, and check in was a breeze. There is easy entry to the unit (swipe card), and the cards work on the nearby gates in the parking lot. Lots of tropical birdsong and landscaping (neatly maintained). If you are looking for a small, cozy unit in a great setting near Ka'anapali, this is the place! Thank you to Jennifer for sharing her corner of the world with us.

Great location, close to neat local places to eat, the Farmers market, an ABC store, and a super market. Not a sandy beach here, but there's a great one a few blocks away. Beautiful views of Molokai and Lanai.

The room was clean and easily accessible to all locations in Lahaina. The view from the pictures don't do it justice. The resort itself was well kept and a short walking distance to the Aston Kaanapoli, which has a beach. If your looking for a affordable and beautiful place to stay, look no further!

Despite the tropical storm that threatened to ruin my friends wedding, I loved every minute of Maui and this condo! The appliances and everything were very nice and the shower had just been redone and was gorgeous. The farmers market within walking distance was also a huge plus. Thank you for everything Jennifer! It was perfect!

This condo has everything needed for a perfect vacation in Paradise! Jennifer was wonderful to deal with and the quality, cleanliness, and comfort of this well-equipped condo genuinely shows just how much she cares about the comfort of her guests. The view is amazing! The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in, and the location and grounds at Papakea are breathtakingly beautiful and truly serene. All in all, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I will definitely be back again!

We had a fantastic stay here! The condo had everything we needed (cookware, dishes, laundry, and even amenities at the property). We felt right at home! It was close to a lot of great places (walking and short drives). Overall, we loved and hope to come back sooner than later!

Loved this place...Jennifer gave a great price, the second we walked in to check in the staff was friendly and courteous. Kimber and Andrea were helpful with any questions we had I would definitely recommend. If you plan to stay on the sunnier and more active part of the island this is a great place to be!

Great place to stay for 2 people. Loved the lanai, watching the whales go by. Very clean and any problems we had were handled right away. Would certainly recommend this condo to our family and friends. The grounds are well maintained and clean. Condo close enough to walk to restaurants and shops. Our second time renting and would sure go back.

What a great place! The room was exactly like the photos, the kitchen is all updated and well stocked, there is room to unpack with drawers and closet space. The balcony overlooks the koi pond, which was nice to listen to at night. You could get a breeze and definitely don't need any a/c or anything. It has a nice decor too. ABC store is out front, grocery store across the street, restaurants nearby, and an awesome barbeque area while watching the sunset. It is a quick drive into Lahaina. The owners are extremely fantastic and would highly recommend to any of our friends or family..thank you. We would love to go back. If you want a relaxing vacation this is the place!

We absolutely love this resort. It is so comfortable, it's like being home away from home. The room was exactly like the photos, the kitchen is all updated and well stocked, there is so much room to unpack with drawers and closet space, even a wall mirror in the bathroom ( important for us girls) You don't need a/c in this unit with the louvers and nice hawaian breeze. It has a nice decor too. Everything is close by you hardly need a vehicle but nice to have to go into Lahaina. ABC is out front, grocery store across the street restaurants nearby and an awesome barbeque area while watching the sunset.. The owners are extremely fantastic and would highly recommend to any of our friends or family..thank you. We will be back to this unit. If you want a relaxing vacation this is the place!

We arrived at this condo during the final leg of our Hawaiian vacation. After spending 1.5 days touring Oahu and a 5-day adventure throughout Kauai, we settled down (somewhat) at this great place at the Papakea Resort. This was our first experience using VRBO, and we were slightly nervous about trying this. With that said, the owners were so unbelievably phenomenal to work with throughout the entire experience.
Their unit is beautiful, very clean and clearly very well-maintained! The view from the lanai was great and was a perfect setting for a sunset cocktail or any meal! The grounds at Papakea were quite nice as well!
If...WHEN...we get back to the islands, we will definitely be looking for this unit once again. It is truly a great value and run/maintained with care and class! I would definitely recommend it for a couple’s getaway! Thank you once again for making our vacation amazing!
