I stayed here with my two teenagers. My teenagers shared the pull out sofa bed which was large enough for both of them. The two full bathrooms and laundry unit were incredibly nice to have for our week there. I can not imagine having to share one bathroom or not being able to wash laundry. Being on the bottom for was very convenient. Additionally, the back door and windows offer a beautiful view of the sunrise. The pool is very close without being in direct eye view which I thought was fantastic. This is walking distance to two beaches and a nearby area where there are restaurants which we ate at all three restaurants.

Richard’s condo is beyond amazing! My husband and I went with our toddler. It had everything we needed and more. It’s on the ground level which is so great with kids. A 30 second walk to the pool and 4 min walk to the beach. Location is amazing. I was worried about pool noise but we didn’t hear anything. I was also worried about the AC just being in the living room with a timer (as per previous reviews) but we barely used the AC all week. The condo stayed pretty cool plus they have ceiling fans and two portable fans! The beds were both very comfortable. We plan on making a yearly trip to Maui and staying at Richard’s condo.

The condo and location was excellent overall. The only negative and this seems to be the case in a number of places in Maui is the parking spaces are narrow and hard for anything bigger than a medium size car to open doors without hitting another car. It is open parking at Kamole Sands now so we parked in a different spot because someone else was in the condo designated spot. One night someone smashed the rental car door 5x in a row with another car door (you could tell) - looked like on purpose. That was the only issue. Suggest parking in a spot next to an island if possible for others.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The condo and grounds were beautiful and very well maintained. The condo was spacious, well-equiped and homey. The pool was such a perk. We had a 2 year old with us and it was such a family friendly place with lots of families playing at the pool. It also felt very quiet, yet only a short walk to everything you need.

We stayed at Kamaole sands multiple times and quite enjoyed this unit. Having a ground floor makes entering and exiting much easier than having to climb the stairs with all your beach equipment. Also, the noise levels coming from the pool were much less in this unit than other units that we’ve stayed in higher up. The unit was clean and well stocked including soft and hard coolers for the beach and car. Highly recommended.

Great location, beautiful property. The condo has everything you need for you stay & you can tell it is very well cared for. We loved having beach chairs & toys. We didn’t cook much but the kitchen seemed to be fully stocked. Would definitely stay here again.

Our little family of four was so comfortable and happy staying here. It has absolutely everything we needed and the location to restaurants and beaches can’t be beat.
Our trip was somewhat different because the horrific Maui wildfires began a few days into our trip. Communication with the owners was wonderful and we had everything we needed to get us through to our flight home.

I enjoyed my stay at this property because the owner is accommodating, the check-in/check-out process is easy, the property is well maintained and has several amenities. The close proximity to the beach, activities, restaurants and shopping also improved the quality of my stay.

The condo is in a nice complex with a well stocked kitchen and beach/water accessories. It's also a great location to many beaches in South Maui. The only uncomfortable thing was temperature control. In the morning and early afternoon, keeping doors open provides a nice breeze. However, it did get hot and stuffy later. There is only an air conditioner in the living room and it is on a 60 min timer, which was inconvenient.

Such a great place to stay. Loved being on the ground level for the kids to run around. Very close to to the pool and short walk to the beach. Very clean and very well equipped. Richard & Eleanor have a beautifully appointed, enjoyable and comfortable condo that was perfect for us. They offer easy access to everything we wanted to do, whether walking to sunset on the beach, whale watching from the boat launch, fun walks or driving to fabulous hiking anywhere on Maui, with nearby restaurants and grocery stores we fully enjoyed. The condo property itself includes the bbqs, swimming pool & everything described in the listing. The kitchen has everything we need, the two full bathrooms are a delightful luxury, and the bed & bedroom totally comfortable. Eleanor's artwork is a huge plus; in short we are extremely pleased to have learned about this condo from friends and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

I was traveling with my parents, both 85+ and this condo was the perfect fit. It's well taken care of, first floor, lovely views and close to the pool. The pool was terrific! Highly recommend and thanks for a wonderful stay!

We loved the location of this condo so close to the pool and a short walk to a wonderful beach (Kamaole III). The condo had great sunset views was beautifully remodeled and very clean. We would most certainly rent this condo on future Maui visits.

The apartment was great, new furnishings, well supplied kitchen, the owner was attentive and responsive. The air conditioner is wired to a 60 minute timer requiring you to leave the windows open at night and the garbage room is just outside the bedroom. Because you have to leave the windows open to cool down the apartment at night you end up hearing people dumping garbage, moving cans out and in for the trucks, ect. Also, the elevators are right next to the garbage room. People leaving for early flights are not considerate and you will get woken up frequently. We heard them yelling to each other as they went out to their cars. Because of those two things it is difficult to sleep past 6 am which was disappointing.

Fantastic location! The apartment is very close to the pool and your parking spot is steps away. Made it easy to transfer items and baby to and from. The view from the Lanai was fantastic. Our 10month old loving playing on the grass. Only negatives were the size of the bed and the couch. The bed definitely felt smaller than a queen and the couch in the living room was not comfortable.
Overall, great family stay and looking forward to booking here again in the near future!

I'm sitting on the lanai on our last morning writing this. The birds are singing and the plumeria tree smells heavenly. This condo is perfectly situated to see the all of Maui. The grounds here are clean, beautiful and feel very safe. For 2 teens and 2 parents the size was perfect. The place was stocked with any kitchen equipment and beach equipment that we needed. Would definitely stay here again!

Being on the bottom floor was a huge plus for this one. Super easy to get in and out up and down to the beach in no time. Place was clean and nice though missing a couple essentials in the kitchen. We also had to replace some pillows as they were stained and we didn’t feel comfortable using them. Besides those things it was a lovely place and would stay there again!

My husband, our 1 year old, and I stayed for 9 nights. The condo had everything we needed to be comfortable and enjoy our vacation. The pack n play worked perfectly as a bed for our little one and all of the other beach items were great! We really enjoyed being on the ground level, so close to the pool and not far from the beach. We spent every day down at Kam 3 :) we would highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a comfortable, clean, fun place to stay in Kihei. We can’t wait to come back.

We have stayed in a few condos in Kihei and Kamaole Sands is definitely the nicest property. The grounds are immaculate and this condo is just a 1 min walk to the pool, and a 5 min walk to the beach. Everything in the apartment was clean and organized. Would definitely recommend this place to both couples or families with young kids.

We had a great time in Maui and enjoyed staying at this unit. The view from the living room is amazing and the resort is very well maintained. The bathrooms are nicely updated and kitchen was well stocked with kitchen supplies. We also took advantage of all the beach items available to guests, including boogie boards, sand toys and snorkle gear. Communication with Richard was very easy and prompt. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Maui.

My husband and I had a great experience at this condo location. It was fully equipped and stocked like you were at your own home. The location was perfect for us. Beach was walking distance. We were in the middle of all the activities we had planned. We would totally return to this condo. Owners are friendly and nice. We had no issues while we were there. Total vacation home for us that we have recommended this place to family and friends. We loved waking up every morning with the view it has! We look forward on coming back.

We had a great time while in Maui. Its not hard to do when you have easy access to the beach as well the pool area.
They do however need to let the adults have later hours in the pool and spas.

This unit was a great value, but it could use some updates to truly make it extraordinary. The location was great. Kihei is a great place to stay and there are plenty of places to eat close by. The ground floor is ideal, and being right behind the pool was great. We had two young boys who loved opening the slider and playing in the grass. The unit itself is functional, but a few minor updates could make it great. If you plan on using the pull out couch I would think twice as the mattress leaves much to be desired. The beach accessories could be improved as a few were broken, and the ones there were not were just very cheap. The beach accessories took up the entirety of the only closet in the unit. Moving them to the lanai closet would make more sense. The spare bedding was not in correct location and what was there was a heavy fleece blanket not real useful in the hot climate. A few of the remote controls did not work and the batteries were corroding when an attempt to change them was made. Overall Kamaole Sands was wonderful, I would only stay in this unit again if I wasn't planning on using the pull out, as by night #3 I considered seeing if the floor would be more comfortable. The owner was also not too responsive to emails while on site. The issue was resolved, but with little communication.

We really enjoyed our stay at this Kamaole Sands 1 bedroom condo. The ground floor condo is in a great location in the complex, close to the pool and barbecues. The grounds are beautiful with a very nice pool. It's a great location in Kihei with a beach right across the street and walking distance to a couple complexes with restaurants and shops. The condo is well equipped with everything we needed for our stay including beach supplies. We really liked the little concession stand at the pool for afternoon smoothies. We enjoyed our stay very much and can't wait to come back.

We had a lovely stay at this nicely appointed and very comfy condo at Kamaole Sands. It is perfectly located close to the pool and on the ground floor which is a real bonus...just pop out the patio doors for a stroll around the stunning tropical gardens, or a quick jaunt across the street to the beach to catch the Maui sunsets each evening. . The condo was clean and well equipped with everything you could possibly need, including all manner of beach supplies. We were experiencing some personal difficulties at the time, but the owner Richard, was so kind and accommodating, and even welcomed us with flowers. We have recommended this condo to many friends, and hope to make a return trip in the future.
