We were stuck for 5 days due to a cancelled flight. This condo was 5 star in cleanliness, beautiful garden and partial ocean view. Property is very well maintained with private beach (some of the best snorkeling we’ve seen), beach hut, snorkel gear, body board, sand toys, beach towels and onsite bbq /washer dryer access. Smart TV, cable,, kitchen and modern Needs for family. Felt very luxurious yet cozy. Sabrina is the best host and very attentive. Would definitely stay again next time we come back to Kauai to visit family in nearby city of Lihue..

The location was great! The beach adjacent to the property is one of the best! We were across the street from a shopping center with great shops and some delicious restaurants. We were led to believe from the VRBO map that our specific building and room was closer to the water but it was actually the furthest building from the water in the complex. It’s a 5 minute walk, but the grounds are beautiful and it wasn’t a big deal. The only real surprise were the true plantation shutters on the windows (this resort is “Kiahuna Plantation”) that don’t have glass and let in noise. There are wild chickens everywhere in Kauai and the roosters literally crow all through the night. We figured out how to run the fans to muffle the sound and sleep. Just plan to bring some ear plugs and turn on some white noise and you should be ok. Full kitchen facilities, and 2 boogie boards, 2 beach chairs and 2 umbrellas are provided in the unit, along with beach towel card for fresh towels at the beach. This is a very beautiful place and we would stay here again.

This property was everything the ad says it is. AC was a really nice addition. Really nice remodel and updated unit. Had all the necessities (minus a few spices for cooking, but that’s not a big deal). The host was awesome to communicate with. Very responsive to initial questions. Had to change dates on the front and had no issues at all. Don’t forget about cleaning fees in the units (while it should be obvious, it wasn’t to us. But the host clarified our concerns and I had no issues paying). The unit is very well kept! Above all, there is a beautiful view of the ocean from the back lanai.

Had a bit of confusion/miscommunication about the building number when we arrived in the middle of the night, but everything was smooth after that. Great location, clean unit, and quick communication with the host. We stayed with our two young kids and they loved it. We would absolutely stay here again.

A very nice place. Needed some repair. work but was done fairly quickly. Beautiful beach. Swimming pool and hot tub too far away, across a road and a good walk away.
Weren’t told about manditory cleaning and towel exchange fees during the stay. Were informed of a very high cleaning fee at the end of the stay, that should have been enough.
No communication with the property manager or host except when we had to tried to figure out how we would get into the unit when we were arriving late.
Nicely decorated and had everything we needed. Would come again if it weren’t for all the extra mandatory cleaning and towel exchange fees. We had plenty of towels and the place was easy to keep clean.

This place was a great home base for my wife and I as we explored the island. The condo is the perfect size for a couple, and we quickly found ourselves having breakfast on the shady lanai every morning. The condo went from great to awesome, however, because of the air conditioning. The property/resort was well-kept, gorgeous, and very close to the beach; the pool/club is across the street, but as this unit is on the north side of the resort, it's still within walking distance.
All-in-all, it was a great place to stay!

My wife and I had a great stay in this unit. The cooler, chairs, boogie boards were a great touch. Easy walking distance to the local shops / restaurants. The happy hour at Kalapaki Joe’s was the best! Would stay here again.

This was our second stay at Kiahuna Plantation. We love the location, near two of the best snorkeling beaches on Kauai. This unit is especially delightful, with a lovely lanai from which you can see and hear the ocean, and quiet and effective air conditioning to help us mainlanders sleep through the night. Parking is right outside, and it's a very short walk to Little Fish Coffee, the Poipu Shopping Village, and the athletic club with its fine restaurant. Comfy bed and furnishings, well-outfitted kitchen, nice entertainment center, very speedy internet. Everything we wanted!

What a great location. Everything we needed was within walking distance. We had an ocean view with an air conditioned room. The lanai was huge. The suite had everything we needed. We had easy communication with the owner. The beach was really good and only a ten minute walk. We took advantage of the health club across the street as it was free with our stay. We loved the place and are looking at coming back next year.

Beautiful partial ocean condo (#98) amply stocked with the basics that a beach home ought to have, especially the kitchen that has everything one needs to cook. Beach chairs, beach umbrella, 2 boogie boards, small cooler on wheels are provided also. Fairly comfortable bed and decent furniture. Maintenance—the Outrigger’s responsibility, is lacking though: clogged bathroom sink was reported, but nobody came to fix it after 4 days and there was a roach in the kitchen cupboard. Nonetheless, our hostess, Sabina, was efficiently responsive to whatever questions we had during our entire stay; tried her best to get the Outrigger to do its part.

Our stay was fine. The condo was dated, but clean. Bedroom was a bit warm even with the air conditioner running at 66-68. Basic kitchen necessities. A couple boogie boards available. Location very close to Poipu Beach. Probably an 8 min walk to the resort beach. There’s a hut at the beach for towels and surf board rentals. The grounds are well maintained and gardens are beautiful.

The property is perfect. Great view of the ocean, very short walk to the gym across the street, and a very short walk to the beach. The lanai is fully covered (whereas some on the property are only 50% covered), and we really appreciated the shade. The unit is one of the few on site with AC, which makes a huge difference for sleeping at night and during the hottest parts of the day.
The host is new, so communication overall was a struggle. I needed to contact multiple times to get check-in information. We changed our stay dates, well within the change window, and it was a struggle to get our money back from the host (we got back the nightly fee after a lot of back and forth but are still working on getting back the taxes). She then didn't update housekeeping of our new stay dates, so they cleaned the unit an extra time, which we would have needed to pay for had housekeeping not very kindly waived the fee for us. Other than that, the property is part of a larger resort and the onsite management was fully available for anything we needed.

We loved staying at this resort and unit. The Kiahuna grounds were pristine, sprawling and beautiful. Any concern of being in a unit towards the back of the resort we’re quickly alleviated after the first short walk to the beach. You also have a view of the ocean which added to the appeal of staying here. The unit itself was clean and offered a comfortable separated bedroom with a sofa bed in the living room. The AC and ceiling fan kept us cool when needed. Our host, Rashid, was courteous and quick to check in on arrival to make sure we were well situated. Would highly recommend this booking and hope to stay again.

Rashid's condo is clean and very comfortable. There is a front desk for check in and check out - similar to a hotel - which makes it super easy. Great view from the lanai and walking distance to coffee shop across the street. The beach is a short walk across the plantation property and is fantastic. The water is clear, a beautiful blue color and we saw monk seals. We stayed in four places on our trip to Hawaii and this one was our favorite - really can't wait to come back.

This was condo was just as advertised, excellent location across the street from shops, restaurants, a short nice walk to the beach. Nice view from the balcony. Quiet area, large balcony, nice space in the condo. The host was very responsive, answering any questions very quickly. Very nice to have a/c, as most condos I understand don't have this luxury.
Not a complaint, just a suggestion for the future: to have condiments, etc. available. The host did supply small packets of salt, pepper, but it was just a small amount. Non-stick spray for example, etc would be nice in a condo where it is expected the guests will be cooking, as it's a shame to buy those types of things when staying only a few days. Again, just a suggestion for future guests.
We had a great time and had peace of mind having a host that was so attentive and responsive.

This condo is perfectly situated. Ocean views, air conditioned, close parking, and very comfortable. Beach is just minutes away, you can walk to a great breakfast spot in less than a minute, and there are plenty of dinner options in the area. Will definitely book this unit again.

This condo was perfect for us. I'm so glad I found Rashid's place. We arrived late and the check in was quick. The condo was clean. The location is perfect. We walked the beach, snorkeled, saw a beached monk seal and sea turtles the first day. We enjoyed many sunsets at the condo after our long days out and about. The grounds are beautifully manicured with orchid gardens and many high end gas grills to grill fresh Ahi tuna and veggies. The staff there were quick to respond anything we needed. Rashid checked in several times to assure we were comfort. We are sad we didn't have time to enjoy the free beach club and pool. The condo is located within walking distance to the little fish coffee shop with the best fresh acai bowls and coffee. There is shopping a pizza place about a block away. We drove to the boat docks for our napali coast boat tour, saw so many whales and spinner dolphins along with the beautiful napali coastline. We drove to the north side and hiked part of the kalalua trail. We drove to Kōkeʻe State Park and did a fantastic day hike. Kauai has so much to do and this condo is perfect.

We love Kiahuna, it’s our favorite place to stay on Kauai. Scenic, beautiful grounds, it’s own beach, shops and restaurants across the street - it’s great.
This unit has air conditioning which is somewhat unusual, and a big bonus in the summer. Since we there in January, we didn’t need it.
The unit itself, like many at Kiahuna could use some updating. More concerning, the kitchen wares are functional at best. Can opener barely worked, drinkware is marginal, coffee mugs hold about 8 ounces, etc.
Another factor is the proximity of building 16 to the street. You will hear road noise during the day, unlike most of the other buildings on the property.
Kiahuna is a premium property with a price to match, especially considering the mandatory cleaning fees that will add about 10% to your expense. That part is out of the owners control, but given the overall price, our expectations were a little higher, especially in comparison to other units we’ve stayed in there.
That said, Rashid, the owner checked in on us twice so we knew we were in good hands.

The condo association has a beach cabana with all the things you will need (towels, chairs, etc.); they also sell snacks and you have the ability to rent boards and games. We also took advantage of the athletic club access, which was a major plus. Communication with Rashid was great. Would easily stay here again!

My adult daughter and I appreciated the helpfulness of the owner, Rashid, in accommodating our late booking for the 3 nights we stayed at this comfortable and well kept condo. Loved the ocean view from the balcony. Just a few minutes' walk to great snorkeling and surfing spots. It's possible to walk to a small grocery and several restaurants. The two flights of stairs up to the condo weren't a problem for us, but may be a consideration for other travelers.

After 10 days in Hawaii at three different resorts, this was our favorite location. Sheraton Beach was our favorite beach for the sun, lack of rocks, and perfect surfing waves (for beginners). It’s much nicer than Poipu Beach, and only right around the bend! This condo has a great view on the best beach.

We have stayed at Kiahuna close to 10 times now and this is definitely one of our favorite condos! The view is beautiful! The walk from the condo to the beach is just the best. We had everything we needed in the kitchen, the 2 umbrellas in the closet were perfect to have for the long beach days and everything was clean and comfortable.
Rashid was so kind and sent us detailed info before the trip, checked in on us during the trip and sent a message after we left to make sure we got home safely! So sweet!
This condo and property is just perfect for anyone wanting to visit Kauai. The athletic club and pool across the street is so close, plenty of food options nearby to walk or drive to as well.
The beach in front of Kiahuna is by far the best in the area. We have been coming to Kauai for so many years and we've explored them all. We decided many years ago there is no need to go any further than the beach here at Kiahuna. Its just perfect! We can't wait to go back and stay here again soon.
