We have stayed in Makani Sands #201 multiple times ...wonderful every time. Several updates since our stay only 7 months ago were appreciated: new sliding patio doors vs. the old worn out, plus an awesome new microwave! We love Makani Sands, #201 especially ...we’ve booked for two more stays in 2024! The only flaw is that #201 needs a conch shell to blow at sunset!

No complains at all here. Property management was very friendly and was able to extend our last day departure check out. Very clean, quiet, updated condo. Can't beat that sound of the ocean in the morning. Bed very comfortable. I would highly recommend this. If you ever near the area try goin to the food trucks near by, the food is amazing.

Everything was great, weather, staff, and the condition of the condo. The only part that we didnt enjoy was the motion camera light in both the hallway and deck. They came on constantly and would ruin the ambience of watching the evening stars. It needs to be adjusted or taken down. Not sure what purpose it serves.

This place was perfect. It's not often you get a quality bed on vacation. It was the perfect size for the 3 of us. Beach towels, chairs and umbrella were provided. You could see turtles from the balcony but the view might be better on the top floor. The location is great and only minutes away from multiple beaches. Highly recommend this location. The only negative which would be difficult to change is the pull out couch frame is loud and sleeping on it was difficult due to how loud it was. One item I would fix is curtains in the living room for that bright morning and evening sun. I truly hope this place did not get damaged in the fire, I would absolutely stay again!

Great experience overall. Interior was spacious and remodeled. Air conditioning is rare to find in most rental properties, it definitely came in handy. The beach access was breathtaking, we swam with sea turtles every day. I would recommend to anyone planning to visit Maui

We haven't stayed in Makani Sandsfor years. From the moment we arrived they were so welcoming. The condo was beautiful and the air conditioning was so comfortable. There was anything you needed in the condo and the grounds were beautiful. It was so nice meeting everyone every evening for sunset. Would definitely stay there again.

This is a fantastic oceanfront property. The host has ensured it well appointed with all the essentials, including what you need to hit the beach. This is a hot spot for sea turtle activity, too. We could see several from the balcony. We’d definitely stay here again.

I booked this property hoping to amaze my wife on our first trip to the Hawaiian islands, and we were both blown away. The staff are highly communicative and genuinely want you to enjoy your stay. The location is excellent. Just minutes north of Lahaina, and right on the water, with a lanai about 25 feet from the ocean. The snorkeling in front of the condo is very good, with lots of fish near the rocks, and turtles coming by daily. Multiple other snorkeling sites within 10-15 minutes of the condo, as well as good beaches for walking or getting some sun. A good food truck park is nearby, as well as other restaurants and a grocery store all within 5 minutes drive. T

The end unit in the small complex was very nice. It was great to have AC in both the living and bedroom. It came with all the amenities you would need from home and more. Beach chairs/umbrella, beach towels, kitchen ware, cloths washer/dryer, etc. I would stay there again.

We just returned from an amazing 8 night stay in Makani Sands #201 and we already wish we were back! This was our fifth vacation at Makani Sands and it was incredibly relaxing. We love the decor and split air conditioning in this condo. Since it’s at the end of the 2nd floor hallway, we also appreciate the extra privacy. The views are stunning and the location is convenient to Lahaina and Ka’anapali. Tammy and Debbie were helpful as always. We cannot wait to return and we will continue to book #201. A hui hou!

I have been staying at Makani Sands for the past 35 years. The Ocean View, Office Staff, Owners and people you see and meet every year has always made it a place to be. This year there were a number of whales and turtles.

The apartment was recently renovated and very nicely appointed. Didn't realize there was sea wall construction going on, but we were off to the beach and were unaffected by the work. Close to markets which is convenient and there is a food truck park nearby with a large variety of offerings. Nice views of Molokai and the ocean from the unit. Was good for few days getaway

We’ve now stayed at Makani Sands four times, and each time we’ve had a wonderful time and found it hard to leave! We’ve rented four different condos ...all were well-kept units, however, #201 was our favorite due to the A/C. Tammy is an awesome property manager and she’s super responsive and friendly! Maui, a hui hou!

We have stayed at Makani Sands every year for the past 28 years. We always stay over the New Years holiday and into early February. Some years we have also stayed in the summer or fall. We love being right on the ocean for the view, watching the whales, turtles and hearing the ocean sounds... We see the same people each year from different states and Canada. These people are our “Maui family”. We look forward to seeing them and spending time together.
