Great property with amazing views of the beach. Everything was as described which met our family of four for seven nights. Would stay here again. We enjoyed the walk along the water past several hotels and towards a shopping center which was convenient.

We had coffee on the balcony in the mornings looking over the beach, walked to the beach, took surf lessons, and watched the sunset nightly - all without having to drive.
We also traveled plenty to take hikes, dine out, etc. We will be going back!

We had an amazing stay with our two two elementary school age kids. The condo was perfectly outfitted with boogie boards, umbrellas and chairs that made the outing to the beach seamless. The condo itself has everything a family could want including extra linens, a well outfitted kitchen and an in-unit washer/dryer to clean up all the gear after adventures. The thing we enjoyed most was our evenings eating dinner on the lanai watching the beautiful sunset. Would definitely recommend!

This is a beautiful, clean, and spacious property with ocean views. We stayed here for a week with a family of 5 and it was perfect. The pool and athletic club were a short walk across the street. The grounds are well maintained. The pristine beach is a very short walk away. We would return in a heartbeat!

Our stay was lovely! Beautiful lanais allowed us to experience our view from our room. The pool, beach, property and every person we spoke to was beautiful! The lush landscape filled the air with sweetness and the restaurants and beaches close by were a 10. Loved our visit!

We REALLY enjoyed our stay here and wish we would have booked it for longer!
The size of the condo worked well for our family of 6, 2 kids shared the downstairs bedroom and 2 used the living room upstairs. The process was seamless with no issues or challenges getting into our condo, Kim was very proactive in sharing what we can do and need to know, so arriving and day 1 was as easy as if we were at our own home.
The location is absolutely perfect. You’re about 75 yards from the beach (if that), next to the Sheraton and their beach front restaurant, and across the street from a shopping center that has almost everything you need you forgot or ran out of during your stay. The bbq is very close to the unit and was exceptionally clean with a large accommodating space to relax at.
What we didn’t realize is the property also comes with some gear for the beach so no need to rent boogie boards or beach umbrellas.
Based on the reviews from the kids and our experience, we will definitely come back!

We can't say enough good about Kiahuna Plantation Resort by Outrigger. We planned this trip in 2019 but Covid killed it. We thought we would lose the deposit on the VRBO but the owner, Kim, worked with us to hold the deposit until Covid passed and we were able to finally visit Kauai in 2022. THANK YOU KIM for being flexible and working with us on this!!
Regarding the property itself, the grounds were immaculate and in good repair and the buildings were also clean and in good repair, both inside and out. We did have a minor issue with the phone and TV remote but the repair crew was there in literally 5 minutes of our phone call to the front desk and fixed both issues in about 10 minutes.
The interior of the condo was a nice stacked layout with plenty of room for both sleeping and hanging out for us and our 4 kiddos. There are air conditioning units in the main sleeping rooms which was an unexpected bonus. The beds, pillows, and bedding were good quality and clean. We stayed 9 days and had a room cleaning at the mid-point which was perfect.
Our room had both an upper and lower deck + patio and we sat out on them almost every morning for breakfast to just eat, sip a coffee, and watch the ocean. We also chilled on the patio/deck at night a couple evenings. The local Gecko's would crawl up and join us on occassion.
Our specific condo was on the South end of the resort, right across the street from the beach - about a 60 second walk from the ocean. The Health Club (pool + bar) was just North of the property, about a 7-minute walk from our condo.
As a fun side-note, the kids loved the frogs in the pond near our condo and went to look at them every time we left our room to go somewhere.

Kauai never disappoints & Kim’s property was a great base for our family while on the south shore in the Poipu area. Swimming & Surfing right out front, Starbucks in walking distance and more. Unit was clean, well stocked, and property was beautiful, old-school Hawaiian vibe. We loved our stay & even enjoyed watching the Luau at the Sheraton next door 2x from the deck upstairs. Would stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay. The property had a nice view of the ocean! The walk to the beach was short and convenient (took you right past the beach hut). The condo was very spacious, clean and well stocked. The host was very kind and super accommodating in helping us reschedule d/t COVID travel restrictions. Thank you! We will be back!

We loved our stay here.
Pros:
The location can’t be beat. Steps to the ocean/beach. Near the rental area to get chairs, boogy boards, etc.
Food was really hard to find in Poipu so it was nice having a fully equipped kitchen. I recommend going to Costco on the way from the airport. There’s also a Safeway in Lihue. Restaurants are packed and close early so I wouldn’t rely on them.
Kim was great to work with. She responded quickly and sent out lots of wonderful recommendations.
Con: the plantation shutters do not have windows, just a screen. We found it to be a bit humid inside the condo due to that fact.

Amazing location steps from the beach. This home has everything you need for a fantastic stay on Poipu beach. Communication with the property manager was fast and easy. We enjoyed the spacious home- super clean and comfortable. The resort was great with beautiful gardens, well maintained BBQ’s, and very helpful staff. We enjoyed the athletics club, making use of the gym, tennis courts, and other games. Highly recommended!!

Spacious condo with great location. Really appreciated the beach umbrella and chairs and boogie boards as well as washer and dryer. Upper and lower patios both had ocean views. There was a nice cross breeze via multiple louvered windows and fans so it remained pleasant (in 81 degrees). The nearby beach was the best one on the south shore in my opinion.
Kitchen supplies were adequate.

Everything was great. The condo was bigger than we expected, had everything we needed for our 8 month old son, everything we needed for the beach including an umbrella. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils etc. Great view! The restaurant is steps away which is an added bonus. Just a heads up for children or older people - the only possible downside for some people may be the lack of air conditioning. My husband and I didn't mind the heat (we were here on particularly hot days!) , however my parents who are older were a little uncomfortable on a couple nights. However, the condo is stocked with multiple large fans that you can place throughout the condo which helps a lot! I would say that was the only "complaint" from my parents. That being said, we loved this place and would return!

The location of this unit is perfect. Walk out of the unit and you're on the beach in minutes. We left our beach gear on the lower lanai. You never have to bring sandy stuff into the unit. There is a foot washer just outside the unit to help keep everything clean. It's a very short walk to restaurants and shopping. I would definitely stay there again.

Nothing beats the Plantation for your stay on Hawaii! This is the third time we have stayed here and would highly recommend it. I drove around to look at some of the places I had also considered and quickly realized we made the right choice. Not only are you right there on the beach, but it is truly one of the best beaches for swimming, snorkeling and even minor surfing. We visited three other popular beaches and all agreed this one was better than those!
The owner of our condo was quick to respond to all emails and questions. The rental hut right at the beach is awesome to have. I was going to suggest some beach chairs in our unit but learned too late that I could have got some from the hut. So read the welcome material! :). Our condo even gave us a view of the Sheraton luau which was a fun bonus. We loved sitting on the deck and listening to the music.
Overall the staff was super helpful and friendly and the onsite restaurant (Plantation Gardens) was amazing and relatively inexpensive compared to Hawai’i in general.
Only one comment specific to our actual unit. The view of the ocean is amazing. However the parking lot that is between this unit and the beach can get a bit loud, especially on the weekends. Local surfers and grounds maintenance start showing up at 6am and young beach goers are out there until midnight. We finally had to ask some kids at midnight to turn down their music booming from the car. But they quickly complied and were great about it. So it wouldn’t be the first choice at the plantation of the units with ocean views, but it still sure beats the garden view units even with the added noise.
