This was a great location, not far from the beach and close to the pool. Peek-a-boo ocean views from the lanai. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping. The unit was clean and comfortable. Communication and check in was easy. We would definitely stay in this unit again. Mahalo for allowing us to stay in your paradise home!

We loved our stay here. We especially loved the proximity to Kam III beach and the pool - both very family friendly. We could also walk to get shave ice and Acai bowls, which were a hit.

Great location just across the street from Kam III beach and being a ground floor condo was fantastic for our kids for easy access to the grassy grounds and close to the pool. The condo had everything our family of 4 needed for prepping food and enjoying our time at the beach. Would recommend this location and unit!

We loved this condo. The location was perfect; ground floor, close to the pool, barbecues and beach. The kids loved being able to run out on the grass and play with other kids. The condo was clean and fulfilled our needs. There were beach chairs, umbrellas, a cooler, sand toys and boogie boards but it did take us a while to find them all. Updates are being made to the suite so would definitely book again to see the changes.

The condo was exactly as described in the listing and was in the perfect location, a bottom unit on the corner which made it simple to stroll across the inner courtyard to visit the other families attending our vacation. The property was clean, check in was seamless, and the unit had all the amenities we needed. We even left items such as an air fryer, large beach mat, water toys and Tupperware for future guests to enjoy. We will definitely be booking this condo again for our next trip!

The apartment was well equipped overall, good size for 2-4 people.
Location was great, near by beautiful beaches and restaurants.
We loved watching the sunset in front of the condo, and enjoyed the small terrace with garden view for breakfast.
Pool and spa are also big and nice.

Wow….what a resort! Beautifully kept up grounds. Great view from our unit. Loved the patio. Ate out there every day at least once. A/C unit was a bit loud, and bathrooms looked a bit worn and were a bit stuffy with no fan in them, but otherwise an extremely comfortable and beautiful place to stay!

We loved the space in this unit, as well as the location in the complex and area of Kihei. The unit itself was a little dated and lacked things like extra hooks in the hall or additional racks in the bathroom for towels, swimsuits etc so they could hang to dry. The location made it worthwhile because of the great lanai, being near the pool, or a short walk to the beach.

We really enjoyed the location and property of this rental. The proximity to the beach, the amenities in the resort, and overall location were fantastic. All the employees were helpful and great to interact with. The condo had our basic needs met, however it was not clean at all upon arrival. The coffee pot had grounds and coffee left in the bottom, the towels and sheets has spots and stains on them, and the bathrooms were not clean. We found a used bar of soap in one shower and water/toothpaste splattered on the mirrors. There were also numerous items provided in the kitchens, closets, and bathrooms that were dirty, but we did not use them. Due to this we would stay at this resort again, but would likely choose a different unit.

This particular unit could use a little bit of updating/TLC but overall a great condo with the essentials. Would definitely recommend!

The location of the property is its biggest selling feature!! The unit was what we needed but for the price it could use some touch ups. Just a little dated and well worn in a few areas but otherwise easy check in and out and overall a good experience.

This was the second time staying in this unit. This time our friends from Australia met us there. We all had such a great time. The lanai was big enough for all of us to enjoy many dinners and all breakfasts/coffee at the table. The view was spectacular, very quiet and peaceful. The owners gave many great recommendations that we chose to enjoy. The beach is right across the street and the pool is close by the condo. We barbecued several nights during our stay. The condo had everything we needed and then some items we didn't expect. It is so centrally located we could be most places on the island in a very short time. The condo was very clean and dust free which was great as we are allergy sufferers. We enjoyed using the boogie boards at the beach, the road to Hana, Lahaina, The Feast at LeLe, a sunset cruise, shopping and exploring the island. We ate out at many of the restaurants that the owners recommended, some of them more than once. We will recommend this unit to all of our friends and family. We plan to come back again soon. We had a great week staying in this condo! The location is in tourist friendly Kihei with grocery stores and restaurants close by. There is easy access to all the main Maui attractions - road to Hana, Haleakala, Lahaina town, Makena beach, etc. Kamehameha beach is right across the street with very easy access and good snorkelling. Just up the street, there's a nice beginner's surf break with surfing schools available (for better surfers, check out the breaks headed up towards Lahaina). We were out enjoying the sights and activities most of our time there, but the unit itself is very comfortable, clean, and spacious. The air conditioning worked great but we were able to get away with just the ceiling fans a lot of the time. There's a nice patio area where we enjoyed the evening air every night. Wifi was rock solid, unlike other places I've stayed in the past. The owners are friendly and have good recommendations. Highly recommended!

We brought our kids and stayed for two weeks! It had all of the amenities we needed and then some. Great space for our family. We barbecued several times and ate out at some of the restaurants recommended by the owners. We had such a worry free vacation that we are going back this year! I would recommend this unit to anyone. It came well equipped with everything you could need. The ocean access was amazing! We swam with giant turtles at the beach. Recommendations made by the owner for food and activities were outstanding. He even called during our stay to make sure everything was to our satisfaction!

Condo was everything the owner said it would be. No surprises. Most responsive owner we have ever had at Kamaole Sands. We are a family with two kids. Ground floor is priceless, adds so much living space for children to go straight outside and play. Condo is well stocked, comfortable. Great for people who love to be on Maui to live and enjoy the island.
Not luxury, but that isn't what we were looking for. We wanted an affordable place to stay that is stocked with the things we'd need if we lived there. The grounds are clean, beautiful, safe, great pool area, community/neighborly feel, and so close to the beach.

The owners are very nice and responsive for the most part, but the unit is simply sub par for the price and comparable units in the complex. AC was broken and not fixed for an entire week (a hot, humid week no less), unit was not very clean- lots of dust, cobwebs, dirty floors, a broken lamp was replaced at our request though we had to assemble it and buy light bulbs, inadequate supply of linens which meant we had to wash towels and the dryer really heated up the unit without AC, TV turns off spontaneously, no cleaning supplies to use during our stay, bedroom AC does not vent well and we cleaned the filters and refitted the vent that barely vents outside (poor venting means the hot air comes back into the room), master bath tub is rusting through and does not drain well, unit in dire need of updating and renovation. Owner was informed with no reply short of replacing the AC. The location of the unit is OK if you enjoy neighbors strolling past all day as it is on a corner with walkways directly in front and at the side. Lanai is one of the small ones in this complex, barely big enough for the 2 person table and chairs. We anticipated use of chairs and beach gear but the closet was locked upon arrival. We had to inquire and we were told that usually these things were not for guest use but we could use it this time. Some things were updated and worked well like dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker. Pots and pans are of good quality, too. All in all, the unit is just OK at best. We travel extensively using VRBO across the islands and we will not return to this unit unfortunately. With updates and a better cleaning company things could be much, much better.

This ground floor unit makes it a very easy walk to the beach even with a 2 year old. The king bed is comfortable and the bedroom has plenty of storage and dresser space. The unit is well equipped and especially has tons of kids sand toys and boogie boards. The owner is extremely responsive and got back to me very quickly when I had questions. We would definitely stay here again.

A couple of my friends and I had a great time in Kihei, which was the perfect location for a trio of traveling ladies in their 20s. Kamaole Sands served as the perfect "home" base for our first, and certainly not last, visit to Maui; the surroundings had a laid back beach town vibe and there are plenty of bars and restaurants in the area. After exploring some of the other popular tourist destinations, we were convinced our location was the ideal choice for our one week vacation. I was surprised at how easy it was to drive and find my way around the island, and the assigned parking space conveniently located near the ground floor unit made for a stress free trip. John and Kay's condo had everything we needed: plenty of bath and beach towels, beach chairs, a fully equipped kitchen, and washer and dryer in unit. I can't wait to return!

We spent 9 wonderful days here. Everything was just as was advertised so there were no surprises. We rated this five stars because it was perfect for us. Birds. We loved the birds. They roosted at night right next to our condo. You can set your clock be there arrival and departure, 6am and 6pm. Not a problem for us but others may not enjoy them as we did. Clean, secure, and great location. Only two things were missing from the checking in info. 1. Outdated info on setting up wifi, and the info on places to eat was missing. These were not even an issue for us but wanted to mention that this would be beneficial to future guests. 5 stars from us.

We love Maui! We have stayed at Kamole Sands a few times and this unit was the nicest and cleanest so far. We loved how close the pool and BBQ's were to the unit. It was really quiet and equipped with towels, chairs and boogy boards. We would definitely stay here again!

We were there for a week before our wedding. My entire family had condos at kamaole sands. This condo was great. It was clean and comfortable. They supplies several boogie boards and plenty of beach towels. There were plenty of plates and cooking supplies to use for the BBQs. We would definitely stay there again. Check in and check out was easy! We had a great stay!!
