The bathroom sink had no hot water. When we turn the faucets off and on, the whole fixture moved! Dirty hand prints everywhere on walls and no dishwasher pods or dish soap to wash dishes. We vacuumed the place before we sat down!

When we arrive we had to vacuum floors. There was no dish washer pods, washing pods. The walls where dirty with construction working hands. The faucet in bathrooms were loose and no hot water in sink! I can go on but I won’t. Would never recommend this so called newly remodeled to anyone!

We've stayed at the Ilikai a few times now, and always like the location near the marina, lagoon and the ocean. This time, we went for the Penthouse which was a great condo, except that there is no real balcony to sit out on and look at the water. Every other time we stayed there, we were able to sit out and drink coffee in the morning and maybe a drink at night and look out.Add the oceans and things. Other than that, it was a very nice condo, very well equipped, very clean and a nice location.

Condo was spacious and clean. Beds were very comfortable and lots of pillows. View from the windows was prefect view of the lagoon and the ocean. This building was busy but quite quiet. Sure beat the space for a room next door at the Hilton.

Nice penthouse condo. Main Living area much larger than expected. Well equipped kitchen. Plenty of towels for all. With being a penthouse the balcony is not large enough to sit outside. Probably time for some repainting but totally worth the cost. Very convenient. Able to find parking close for less than the $45+ hotel parking fees. Easy walk to beach, stores & restaurants. Rental company very quick to respond.

The WIFI was broken for the first 3 days out of 5 nights! We couldn't watch TV or use the internet, which was very inconvenient.The next day, when I was away, a repairman came, but it was still not fixed. Two days later, after replacing the equipment, it finally became usable.The company has not apologized for the inconvenience.Our room on the 26th floor was clean and had a nice view, but the terrace was small and there was no room to sit. I wanted to have a leisurely meal on the terrace, but that is not possible. When I looked at the condominiums in front and on the side, I was envious of everyone relaxing on the terrace. I like Ilikai, but next time I'll get a larger room with a terrace.When I opened the window, the sound of the air conditioner was noisy, so I ended up closing the window.The water is weak and the shower is difficult.Good kitchen facilities.All communication with the staff is via email. It was easy to exchange emails in Japanese with Japanese staff, but they are not friendly. This condo was represented honestly in the photos. It was spotlessly clean, and decorated tastefully. View was fantastic! Check in & out was very simple. Appreciated the beach towels & umbrella provided. Beds were comfortable. Overall, we enjoyed our stay & would definitely recommend to others. Just a couple of very minor things to improve the condo:- couch has some spots that can probably be cleaned easily - some scuff marks on one of the walls in the master bedroom near the doorway, that can probably be cleaned off or painted over.- baseboards need to be finished painting in master bathroom Again, very minor, and did not take away from our stay at all. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I would definitely recommend to others without hesitation. We have rented many condos in Oahu, and this is the best one yet! This is our 2nd Alii rental, and have been satisfied with each stay!

Great location, quiet place with a wonderful view. Close to everything, yet felt like we were on the "quieter" end of the beach which was perfect. Lots of space for our family of 4.

The unit was very nice and clean. Walk downstairs and you're at a public sand beach and it's not as busy as Waikiki beach. Location is convenient. Only valet parking is available and it's $35/day. The only thing we hope to see improvement is to have more supplies provided, like kitchen foil/saran wrap, laundry detergent, etc, because it's difficult to buy small portions and I don't think anyone would pack those when travel. Also, air conditioner didn't cool down the unit one morning when the weather was in the 80's.

I found our stay to be absolutely amazing at the lagoon penthouse. It was in the perfect location with lots of beaches and amenities in walking distance for old and young. Would recommend this place for anyone.

Overall stay was very good and enjoyable. The location is great and if you even better. Couple of small issues that were somewhat troublesome… . 1. You have to valet park your car you cannot self park. 2. The walls between the 2 bedrooms are “very thin” and not that private. If one bedroom has the tv on, the other room can hear it. 3. For the most part the condo was clean. The floors needed some extra work when we got there. 4. When others clean, the smell of bleach comes into this unit and is really strong in some areas of the condo. 5. A couple more chairs in the living room would have been nice to have as we had 4 adults and all of us had to sit on one couch.

Location is close to restaurants, good shopping and other facilities in hotel. Turtles seen right in the beach. The dishwasher broke during our stay and someone came quickly to fit it for us.
Only weird thing is that the two bedrooms have a wall just there is a space where the glass sliding patio door goes that makes the rooms connected. It’s small and does not interfere with privacy just noise.

We were initially impressed by the pictures of this place when we booked it. However, we were sadly disappointed when we arrived and within the first few days we realized more and more that we were not getting what we paid for. First, the master bedroom had A/C issues. It was very hot in the room even at night. Very uncomfortable. The management company could not resolve this problem. The entire unit needs a new paint job. It's obvious the unit is used ofter with the marks left on the walls from luggage/baggage, etc. There's so much of it, it becomes an eyesore. The master bathroom sink facucets needs tightening. The light over the dining room table is way too low and a nuisance. We bumped our heads into it several times a day. It was a terrible decision to place such a low handing light. Construction workers were working next door all day forcing to hear constant drilling and banging. The iron provided was useless and broken and it's obvious they bought the cheapest iron on the market. The exhaust tube to the dryer disconnected on its own while in use which ended up spewing lint all over the hallway area. The rug in the living room is disgusting and could use either a replacement or professional cleaning. The cable box did not work when in the living room so we needed to make arrangements with maintenance twice to get it fixed. The elevators in the building are antiquated. They all run local. We stopped on almost every floor every time we wanted to go up or down. We couldn't use the gym which is ridiculous even if we offered to pay an entry fee. The mask police were inconsistent with enforcing the rules which was frustrating. This place is very misleading with its pictures and that it's on the PH floor. When we booked it we expected PH-level amenities and service. This unit fell well below our expectations. We do not recommend this place. Feel free to have the owner contact us to further discuss. We had stayed in this unit for 2 weeks in January. Ali'i beach rentals was a fantastic company to rent from. They were quick to fix any issues (water leaking from vent)/kitchen items missing quite quicky.For the unit itself. The kitchen is well stocked, the washer and dryer are a nice perk especially when you go to the beach everyday, the size of the unit is really spacious. The TV is a smart tv and has all the services that you would want and more.We were a little disappointed in the wear of the unit. The floors are quite scratched/worn, the rug and couch is in need of a cleaning, the windows of the beautiful view need to be cleaned, I went around to all the door handles and wiped them but found out that they probably need to be painted again to get them back to their "white" condition. If you are looking for a unit that has 2 contained bedrooms this is not for you. The two bedrooms are not closed on the window side where they join. Therefore you hear everything going on in each bedroom. The kitchen table only has 4 chairs and so this makes it hard to have a family dinner when you have the 6 people that you are allowed in this unit.For the cost of this unit you are paying for the view which will not disappoint.

Great location. Has view of Diamond Head & the ocean. Well equipped kitchen; Wonderful amenities. Only issue: Communication. The kids’ Covid test results were still pending the night before our flight. I called Property Management 2x, wanted to make sure Door access code will still work should our flight be rebooked for the next day, for code not to be voided if not entered/used on arrival day. No reply received from Mgmt., disappointing & stressful. It turned out we got the negative results before midnight & were able to leave the next morning as planned. But Property Mgmt should have responded to calls.

We all enjoyed staying in the Ilikai Hotel. We appreciate the refrigerator and the washer dryer.
The bed in the master bedroom sank in the middle.
