Beautiful Ocean Views of the channel and island of Lanai, golden sands of pristine Kaanapali Beach and west Maui Mountains greet you each morning on your private 11th floor lanai. Relax in the tropical breezes and the sounds of the surf as you watch whales (Dec-April) and dolphins dance in the ocean. Inhale picturesque evening Sunsets with tropical drinks in-hand and soft Hawaiian music.

During the day slip into your flip flops, check out towels from the beach activities kiosk and step out to the pool and soft, sandy beach to enjoy your choice of water activities. Snorkeling at world famous Black Rock is a short walk down the beach. Sail on a whale-watching or sunset cruise. Scuba and sport fishing are readily available. Or settle down in a lounge chair with your favorite book.

Did we mention golf? The Royal Kaanapali course (36 holes) is across the street. The Bay and Plantation courses are a quick 15 minute drive. You'll enjoy the on-site tennis courts that have been recently resurfaced and tennis pro who will arrange matches or lessons with like ability players. Courts striped for pickle ball!

Located directly on world famous Kaanapali Beach, the Whaler has impressive amenities. They include a lovely newly remodeled lobby, concierge, newly remodeled pool and hot tub, nautilus equipped fitness center, tennis, gas barbecues, business center where you can print boarding passes. The Whaler provides complementary ice tea and coffee in the lobby and by the pool.

Whaler's Village, a 2 minute walk, adjacent to the Whaler, is a high-end but low key shopping, dining and entertainment mecca. Restaurants and shops dot the 2 mile promenade that runs along the beach, perfect for a morning walk and evening stroll.

Just one unit back from the ocean-side in Tower 2 at the Whaler, Unit #1157 is located on the sunny, south side of this impressive resort. The one bedroom unit with two full baths (1100+ sq ft including the 200+ sq ft lanai) has a King size bed complimented by a Queen size Murphy bed in the living room easily accommodating up to 4 people. It is well furnished with two TV's, one a brand new 42 inch Roku TV in the bedroom, telephone and complimentary hi speed Wi-Fi connection. You will enjoy new carpeting and upholstery, new draperies and new blackout draperies perfect for a good night sleep, newly painted furniture, a fully equipped kitchen including granite counters, new Bosch dishwasher, blender, microwave and coffee maker. Our two bathrooms are newly renovated (December 2023) One has a walk in shower and the other one has a tub/shower combination. Floor to ceiling windows, with new sliding glass doors, air conditioning and brand new ceiling fans(January 2024) in both rooms will keep you comfortable. Linens are provided. Starter kit of paper towels, soap, TP, tissue, mini shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, basic spices, coffee filters for Mr. Coffee drip maker, plastic wrap, laundry detergent. Daily maid service is not provided but arrangements can be made to include a mid stay cleaning. Free washer/dryers are located down the hall next to the three elevators. The unit and the Whaler Resort are entirely nonsmoking. No smoking allowed in units or on Lanais. There is a designated smoking area at the northeast front corner of the Whaler property. You'll find beach chairs, umbrellas, beach toys, ice chests for your use in our unit.

A $33/day Resort Fee will be collected by the Whaler Resort upon check out. Amenities provided included high speed internet, Cable TV, gym equipment, concierge, and water and tea in the lobby, pool umbrellas, pool towels, iced tea and coffee at the pool, and other services are covered by the Resort Fee. Resort fee $33/day, $35/day beginning April 1, 2025. The resort fee is controlled by the Whaler, collected by the Whaler at check out and is subject to change by the Board of Directors. It is not controlled by the owner.

Hotel and room were clean and very convenient for beach, shopping, and food. However, this is not a room for leaving your sliders open to relax and hear the crashing waves. The restaurants down below run their a/c fans all day and night which compete with the sounds of the crashing waves. If hearing the waves from your room is not priority, this is a room for you. Also need to note that both bathroom showers need updated plumbing fixtures. Rusty shower heads and drains.

Everything was great about the condo, communications prior the date we arrived and the property. Only issue was that our reservation was not found at point of check in. That was rectified after about an hour. Management took care of the issue.

Nice unit, amazing views. What's not to like? Those complaining about wood smoke from Hula Grill restaurant are overstating a very minor situation. I won't even call it a problem as my wife and I happen to like the aroma. If that is all they have to complain about, they're living large.

We stay at the Whaler every time and it's perfect. Close to shops and restaurants. Although we felt our unit could have used an update on furnishings but you can't beat this location. My brother and sister in law were staying in tower 1 and there unit was nicely decorated and more our taste. And I don't know how I missed that there was not a washer/dryer in the unit. I should have looked more closely at the description but just assumed every 1 bedroom unit had one. My bad!!

This is our 3rd/4th stay in this unit. Can’t beat the location or the view. It’s clean but dated, hence the 4* review. Luckily, the lack of updating is reflected in the nightly rate.

Great condo in the perfect location. The views are incredible! We’ve stayed in many Whaler units and this one definitely has the best view of not just ocean, sunsets, and whales but beautiful mountain views as well! Yes… there is some noise from the a/c units etc below at the hula grill and monkey pod but overall the positives of this condo more than made up for that. It was actually kind of nice hearing music from hula grill and people watching from above! Condo is well set up with everything you could need,was very clean and provides MORE than enough storage etc - tons of drawers and closet space! We prefer to sleep with door closed and ac on so noise wasn’t an issue for us - AC worked great and bed was comfy. Overall excellent and would recommend!

Clean. Comfortable. Bright. Outstanding view. High enough up that street noise was not distracting. We could hear the waves, gleeful sounds of children playing on the beach, evening music from the Hula Grill, and the occasional back-up truck alarm when the sliders were open, but very quiet in the condo with the sliders closed. The A/C worked great - turned off when the sliders were open, so no waste of energy. Entertaining to watch the waves, the whales, the catamaran tours, and the surfers. Relaxing to watch the sunsets. There were beach chairs and snorkel equipment for our use, which was great to have. Security let us store rented SUPs in the basement for no extra charge. Such a wonderful place to be. Thank you!!

Unit was large, quality mattress, huge balcony, comfortable decent sofa, upscale property. Only minus was smoke from restaurant chimney next door in Whalers Village at dinner time seemed to make it’s way to the air intake for the otherwise efficient central air system if the wind was from the south.

This was the perfect place to stay for my husband and I and our two kids. The unit was a great size for the four of us, with a stand-alone bedroom and ensuite and the main living area with a Murphy bed. Everyone loved waking up and spending time on the linei to start the day. All the facility staff were wonderful and helpful. The free laundry down the hallway was never busy. Both the pool and the beach were enjoyed, as were the shopping and snorkeling sites within a very short walk. Thank you!

The Whaler is a great location on the Kaanapali Beach and the views from the 11th floor are outstanding. The condo was clean and well-kept but some of the appliances were just a tad outdated. However, I would consider renting it again based on our stay.

This condo faces the whalers village restaurants and stores. Very loud starting at 5 am when delivery trucks arrive mid you enjoy the smell of smoke this unit is for you we got all the smoke from him a grill every nite. The furniture needs to be updated. It is very old. The unit was clean but who has a 24” TV these days? Very disappointed with this unit and unfortunately we were stuck here for 2 weeks.

Great spot, roomy, comfortable, amenities galore. We loved our little home away from home for our wedding week in May. Just wish we stayed much longer. In person, this condo looks much better... Staying with infant was a piece of cake. Close to basically everything. This oasis was quite bit less expensive than most others when booked early enough. If price point stays similar, it's an absolute no brainer. One negative were the bathrooms need serious TLC... The bathroom rod in one of the bathrooms fell inches away from our infant's head... And wasn't even touched. We brushed it off, used other bathroom and enjoyed ourselves.

From the moment you step foot into the reception area at The Whaler, you could tell they use the Maintenance Fees to keep this place looking great! The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. The unit we stayed in was great! It was equipped with everything you need for the time you stay....although...it could use an electric kettle but we boiled water on the stove for tea and that was fine! The unit itself was VERY clean. We had a great view of the ocean and the sunset each night. We will definitely look for this place again next time we're in Maui - perfect location!!!

Our family has been staying at Whaler for 34 years. This unit had a fabulous view from the 11th floor and one unit back from oceanfront. We love how much light it has and the large lanai. 2 full bathrooms are great for 2 couples. The Murphy bed was not really comfortable though. Not sure if it needs a new mattress. While the condo is not as remodeled as others we have stayed in, we didn't mind as the price was great. Appreciated the early check-in and prompt communication with the owner. We can;t wait to come back!

We had the best vacation time at the Whaler!. It is on perfect location and the condo is amazing. It has everything we could ask for. The condo is on the beach with amazing view of both sun rise on the mountain and sunset in the ocean. The beach is the best, very clean and good fun wave. The condo closes to very things in walking distance ( restaurants, ABC store, safeway, shopping centers). We cooked lot of our meals at the condo, kitchen was stock up and got everything. This condo is very comfortable for small family. Free laundry on our floor. Hotel pool is decent size and well maintain and also has outdoor grill guest can use. Judy our host is wonderful and very responsive, we got all our questions answer in timely fashion. I would recommend this condo and we plan to go back again for sure!!!
