The apartment is very well set up with pool toys, beach chairs, kitchen things etc. We really enjoyed the view of the ocean and the kids loved the rooftop pool. Check in was easy and communication was great.

My husband and I booked a stay in Mayu’s property due to the proximity to Waikiki beach. It not my first time to Honolulu but was for my husband.
The property was as shown in the photos. It was a good space for two people, not sure how it would be for more than that. Close to local markets, car rental, shopping, and nightlife. Building/hotel although dated, was safe and staff was very friendly. Our stay was quiet. The views of the beach from the unit were amazing.
Overall, it had all the conveniences of home to make our stay enjoyable. The kitchen lacked a few useful items (measuring cups etc) necessary for preparing meals which we did three times a day. The bed was very comfortable, the couch not so much but served the purpose. The bathroom is dated and could use a deep clean but water was hot and shower worked well.
We absolutely loved the roof top pool, hot tub, bbq and games area. It was a gem of a space and we religiously spent our morning and nights there.
We wouldn’t hesitate to book this space again if we return to Oahu. Mahalo, Mayu for your hospitality.

We paid a fair price for a pretty nice property. Location is a three minute walk for the beach. Lots of shops and restaurants all around. View is a partially obstructed look out into the water, but not bad at all. Unit was clean and spacious for two. May be a little tight for a family of four, but certainly nicer than a standard hotel room. Parking garage is very tight. AC hadn’t been turned on when we arrived, so it was about 80 degrees inside. Not ideal. That said, it was worth the price.

We had a great stay at this condo. The wifi wasn't working the first night but the owners made an immediate effort to come fix the problem right away. The location was excellent! So close to the beach, shopping and great restaurants. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

First of, I love the fact that there’s a Matsubi shop in the building! Before heading to the beach or hike, grab some Matsubi for snack! It is also walking distance from the beach and to anything really (shops, restaurants, mall).
In regards to the place itself — the view from the living room was just beautiful! Right when you enter the room, you know you're in Hawaii. It is an open space with huge windows so a lot of natural light. The host also provides beach towels, chairs and boogie boards. There were also bath towels if you didn’t pack any. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash were also available so you don’t have to worry about those!
My husband and I definitely enjoyed our stay.

I was very happy with all aspects of the property. We had an ocean view, just few blocks from the Duke's statue. We were walking distance to the Aquarium and the Zoo. The major tour operators picked up just a block over. There were seemingly endless food and shopping choices nearby. My family all enjoyed their trip.

Recently stayed 2 nights in Mayus condo in Pacific Monarch. Was a great stay. Condo was clean bright and had everything you needed. Older complex but apartment is modern enough. Nice little welcome pack on table. The view to the ocean was spectacular. Nice big windows overlooking ocean. Corner apartment. The location to the beach and Waikiki is great. Easy walking everywhere and easy to catch TheBus. Mayu was friendly to deal with quick response. Unfortunately I broke a lamp but Mayu was pleasant and understanding and I sorted the incidental cost. The Pacific Monarch had rooftop pool spa sauna bbq area. The front desk staff are very friendly. Was a great stay. Definitely recommend to stay here Mahalo

I'll start with the cons because they are so few:

- The listing did not say that it came with beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, floaties etc (which really is a huge pro). Had it did, i wouldn't have rented those in advance.
Pros:
- The view is killer for the price! Has a panoramic view of the Waikiki beach and binoculars are provided so you can look at whales or surfers.
- The room was very clean, and as i mentioned above, it has beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, floaties etc which is a huge plus! Saves one from a lot of rental hassle and cost.
- The building has a pool and hot tub. We didnt end up using it but a nice to have.
- the location is amazing, on Kuhio street and 2 mins walk to Waikiki beach and all stores and restaurants.
I'd definitely stay here again if i visit Oahu again provided the price remains reasonable, which i really hope it does.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this condo. The building is well kept, and there is a rooftop pool. We could see the ocean from the living room, and having a kitchen was very convenient. There are hundreds of food options within a two block radius. Check in and check out was easy as could be. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay at Mayu's place. It is exactly as the listing describes. Super comfy for myself, husband and our baby. We loved the view of Waikiki from the windows. Mayu has equipped the apartment with everything you might need for the beach: beach towels, boards, inflatable ring. There's a great grocery/market very close by. Excellent restaurants around. As others have mentioned, the Musubi cafe downstairs is fantastic.

Having travelled from the east coast, it was dark by the time we got into the condo. The next morning, we looked out to see the beautiful Pacific Ocean and Waikiki beach, minutes from our condo. Mayu was very easy to connect with, usually answering an email within an hour or two. The condo was very clean and well supplied. The rooftop pool was an added bonus, as it gave great views and a place to relax if you didn't want to go to the beach.
On the downside, there was some renovations going on in the complex, that we were not made aware of before arriving. Also, the building water system was turned off for several hours over the space of two days. We were told it would only be off one morning from 8:00 until noon.
One small suggestion, put in more than two bath towels. Overall, our stay was incredible.

I was traveling with a toddler and my flight was moved up to very early morning and the host was gracious enough to let me check-in 3 hours early so my kid could nap. The view and location were great. I really enjoyed my stay (and the roof top pool).

Mayu was great! Her place was clean and had everything you could need.
Keep in mind the unit itself is a little older (but that goes for a lot of rental units in Hawaii), but she's done a wonderful job at maintaining a cozy home! And let's talk about the VIEW; We always like to book corner units so we can enjoy the morning views - and this did not disappoint.
My husband also worked for a couple of days while visiting my family and we had no issues working/streaming with the wifi available.
Definitely would come stay again!
