This was a great place for a couple! Very comfortable bed, nicely appointed and furnished, and the lanai was an awesome place to lounge, eat meals, and watch whales, turtles and windsurfers. We loved our stay! My only criticism would be low water pressure in the shower.

Let me begin by saying Jill was great with prompt responses and quick action/communication. This rental is dreamy. Located near other resorts and rental properties, this place is very well decorated and many amenities including binoculars, usb charger, tons of plug outlets for devices. The binoculars are for watching the whales from the Lanai. The lanai is spectacular and so is the day bed. I found myself sleeping there listening to waves crash against the seawall right in front of it. I caught some little turtles floating near the waves/water closest to the shore. It was such a nice and intimate place, we didn’t want to leave. Some stores, bars, gas station within walking distance. The beaches are a short drive from here as you don’t really have any beach area behind the property to hang out on. There is a picnic table, grill and a couple recliner lawn chairs in the back by the seawall. There is also a good sized pool across the street behind the main building. I highly recommend for any one single or with a partner to try this gem of a place in Kahana very close to Lahaina.

We also really enjoyed watching the kite surfers from the deck. Very quiet area and nice to have restaurants within walking distance. I can't wait to go back. Mahalo!

Everything about our stay here was amazing. From the decor to the spaciousness to that view! The day bed on the lanai was so perfect and now I need an outdoor bed back home. It was perfect to go the beach right next door - we snorkeled and saw massive sea turtles. They were amazing to watch. The location is also perfect. We contemplated staying in Paia but so glad we stayed in west Maui. It was a little tough but we did Road to Hana one day and the next day, the sunrise at Haleakala so definitely doable! Just gotta go to sleep early. We will absolutely stay here again. Mahalo for an amazing start to our honeymoon!!

The decor was beautiful and you feel you are right on top of the ocean when lying on the bed it is as if you are on a boat. Great beaches only a short walk away and shops nearby. We just loved relaxing on the Lanai watching the stunning sunsets and cute turtles. The apartment also had everything we needed for enjoying cooking our own meals. We hope to return to Maui in the future and would definitely check availability of this place as it is an absolute gem. Thanks for a great stay to end the perfect holiday.

Was a great place for a couple. The view was gorgeous since you are near the water. Watched a sunset every night from the lanai. Loved that it had AC. You don't need to leave the AC on long because it will cool down this studio unit fast. The only thing I wish it had was a a full length mirror. That way we could see ourselves and our outfits before heading out. A mirror in the living room space would be extra helpful so one person can get ready in the bathroom and the other in the main room. This studio was stocked with everything including a full function kitchen and super super clean!! The lanai is spacious and comfortable. Oh the bed here was super comfy too. You have a parking space right next to your unit and super easy parking!! It was nice to have access to a laundry room across the street so we could pack lightly coming to Maui. We stayed here after the terrible fire in Lahaina August 2023. All of the locals and businesses greeted us and thanked us a million times for coming. You will feel welcomed so please come and spend time in Maui. They need the tourism. I give this studio a 5 star review and would stay here again. It is romantic, quiet and relaxing.

We loved this home! It is a great, quiet residential area, but yet close to many restaurants and a short drive to Lahaina. The beaches and scenery in this are the best. The home is beautifully decorated and they have not missed a thing. The deck that sits 10 feet from the ocean is heaven. You will lose yourself on the daybed. We highly recommend this property.

You will never want to leave the lanai. The perfect perch to watch daily turtle activity, sunsets and occasional paddle boarders and kayakers. We never needed air conditioning during our stay so we fell asleep every night with the sliding doors open listening to the sound of waves. The studio itself is set up nicely - with a comfortable king sized bed, attractive kitchen and bath as well as a sitting area with a large tv (although we never turned on the television). Quality cookware and utensils for food preparation. Plenty of towels for the week so we never had to do laundry. Very convenient parking right next to the stairs leading up to the apartment. Even though part of a complex - it felt very private - and quiet too (except for the sounds of the ocean). In an effort to keep this review completely honest, I have to mention that a couple of things in the apartment were malfunctioning during our stay. Possibly just a fluke but slightly annoying at the time. However, Jill and team acted quickly in an effort to make everything right. Highly recommend this comfortable studio with an amazing view.

Our three nights here were the most memorable for me. Having lived on Maui as well as visiting well over 30 times, we’ve seen and done it all, so just being here and hanging on the lanai was all we wanted to do. Jill and her team truly care so much about their guests. They are immediately responsive for any issues that arise and truly make you feel like family. Every inch of the place was luxurious and decorated fabulously. Not a single piece of cheap decor or furniture in sight. The bed, the cleanliness, and the view were all 10/10. We saw whales and turtles every day. Our stay at Jill’s places were hands down our favorite during our 2 weeks stay!

First time staying at Honu Hideaway- Had high expectations after previously staying at Hula Hideaway and we weren't disappointed! Love the chill Kahana area, and to have a place directly on the ocean is great... only thing better is to have all of this during whale season! Clean, quiet, comfortable with tasteful beachy decor and all of the amenities you need. Bonus tennis court and pool across the street. Can't wait to visit again!

The place had everything we needed, was convenient to West Maui locations, and gave a sense of peace and relaxation. It was especially hard to leave the great view and ambience of the lanai!

We had such a wonderful stay here! The actual unit is very clean and so wonderfully decorated- as beautiful as photos!
The kitchen was stocked with many useful things to prep food. Also, ice packs in the freezer for your cooler and a Brita water filter pitcher in the fridge to drink or refill water bottles with filtered water! Really nice touches.
It is the absolute perfect space for a couple or solo! We spent every morning and evening out on the lanai, and have lots of memories of this wonderful view- huge waves, sea turtles, and wind surfers! Also, the bed was so comfortable. We slept so well, to the sound of crashing waves on the break wall out back (You couldn’t stay closer to the ocean than this!)
It is a short walk to a convenience/general store, great coffee shop, and Maui Brewing Co.! We headed there a couple times.
I will say, we were worried when we arrived- we had trouble finding it. There is no “hula hideaway” sign, like all the other surrounding properties. We arrived at an old, grey building- and hoped the listing was accurate inside! (Which it was!!) We also arrived a half hour early- hoping we could get in after a long drive, but cleaning staff were in there until the very last minute of our check-in time (and in our assigned parking space.) The water pressure in the shower is lacking, sometimes a trickle and at times luke warm- but wasn’t a big deal…you’re in Hawaii! :)
During this trip we stayed at a luxury resort & this rental unit at Hula Hideaway- both were such unique experiences and different ways to see Maui. Some of my favorite parts happened at this condo: Hanging at Napili beach, drinks at Maui Brewing co. & Kohola Brewing, and walking around shopping & having dinners on Front St. in Lahaina. So relaxing and lovely. We would love to come back and explore what we ran out of time to do! Thanks for your hospitality.

The location of this rental is superb as it is tucked between two beaches. There are incredible views out the lanai, some of the best sunsets we have ever experienced. It is the perfect place to relax, see some sea turtles, and get the full Maui experience. Jill was so kind and easy to get in contact with. Could not have asked for a better place to stay for our honeymoon!

We loved our stay with Hula Hideaway. It looks just like the photos. Beautifully decorated and thoughtfully supplied with kitchen ware and beach accessories. The location is near other larger resorts but feels much more private. We even saw some turtles from our balcony. I will definitely check out their other properties if we ever get the chance to return.

Words cannot even describe how gorgeous the view is from the lanai or how much time you will want to spend on it watching sea turtles, sunrises, sunsets, and birds. Everything about the property itself is lovely as well as functional and the location cannot be beat. You are close to everything without being surrounded by tons of people and noise and it is the perfect mix of relaxing and inspiring. We were very sad to leave this gorgeous place and would love to return!

This place is so lovely for a relaxing vacation on Maui - especially the balcony and daybed! Also perfect location for getting around the island to see the sights and visit beaches. This place has everything you need - the beach gear was especially useful and kitchen is well stocked with anything you need for cooking. I do not know if it was actually the size or the super smart space-planning, but it was just perfect. Every detail was thought out. The lanai and view could not be beat. this gorgeous home is an absolute must stay if you’re on Maui! it is everything and more you could ever want to have the perfect getaway, the location and cleanliness of the house and perfect! it’s perfectly in the middle between Whalers Village and Napili bay and so much more, the house itself is so nice you’ll never want to leave, i wish we could’ve stayed longer but we’ll be back! oh and the bed and outdoor couch feel like you’re sleeping on a cloud! you won’t regret booking this place!!

The esthetic of this property was breathtaking. Beautiful inside and outside on the lanai. Loved being by everything (location wise) but not staying at a resort. Kitchen had everything you could ask for. Beautiful bathroom with a large shower and rainfall shower head was relaxing after a long day out playing in the sun. The esthetic of this property was breathtaking. Beautiful inside and outside on the lanai. Loved being by everything (location wise) but not staying at a resort. Kitchen had everything you could ask for. Beautiful bathroom with a large shower and rainfall shower head was relaxing after a long day out playing in the sun. Loved this property and 100% would stay again.

Sad to leave, but so fortunate to have had 5 days to unwind in this beautiful condo. We have stayed in maui several times over the past few years, but this unit is by far our favorite. Jill has done an exceptional job renovating this beautiful home. Such detail, comfortable bed and linens, fully stocked kitchen, plenty of beach amenities and amazing views, including sea turtles galore! We loved are time here. Everything was perfect. Very clean and decorated very cute! We found it to be a good spot for everything we wanted to do. National park, west maui loop, and road to Hana. Some driving to get to these but the Vrbo was worth it. We will be back! Thank you!!!

This condo was perfect. Nicely decorated, extremely clean, and came with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Beach chairs, beach towels, cooler, umbrella. Saw sea turtles every day outside the condo. The bed was very comfortable as well. The location was quiet. We will definitely try to come back to this condo again for sure. Highly recommend!

Loved this wonderful oceanfront find to explore the West side of Maui. Great beachy decor! The turquoise kitchen tile shimmered like the ocean, bed, deck daybed and coordinating furniture have cool carvings that provided a decorators touch. Bathroom wallpaper was awesome to tie it all together. Loved all the little Hawaiian and beach decor touches. We kept the sliding glass doors to deck open all day and night to hear the waves crashing right below! It was awesome! Turtle siting while enjoying coffee (wished we had remembered to bring our own but there is a nearby market). Great communication and would definitely return!

We loved the quietness of this property, especially the lanai with a comfortable daybed and table to watch the ocean, sea turtles, rainbows and sunsets. The place has all the special touches including fun dishes and perfect finishes as well as comfortable pillows and bed. This was our first trip to Maui and it met all our expectations. We loved the Hula Hideaway!

Great condo! All updated. Beautiful place. YOU JUST CANT BEAT THE VIEW, lanai and OMG the Daybed! I saw whales multiple times a day and really appreciated the furnished binoculars! Having A/C was awesome. It was in the high 80’s every day will humidity in the 70-80’s! Stunning shower! This is a fabulous condo and location is amazing! Did I mention seeing lots of sea turtles everyday at the sea wall? ❤️❤️❤️❤️🏖🐋🐢🐢

Stayed here recently for our honeymoon. The room was beautiful and clean. Parking was close by and had easy access coming in and out. Our favorite part was the Lanai. We spent countless hours relaxing - watching whales, turtles, and the sunset. Didn’t want to leave and wish we would have stayed longer. Highly recommend this unit!

We had an amazing stay at this property. We loved relaxing on the lanai and watching turtles, whales, and even a monk seal. The property had several amenities that were well thought of and had everything we needed. Just wish we could've even stayed longer!

Easy check-in and check-out process. Rental was clean and decor is vibrant, fun, and modern. Cannot beat the lanai view of the ocean. Plus the sounds of the waves at night are very soothing especially when sleeping. Will definitely stay here again if I am back in Maui.

So enjoyed our recent stay at this beautiful unit. Literally spent hours on the lanai listening to and looking at the ocean. It's so close to the water at times it almost feels like you're on a ship. And the furnishings are beautiful, too. Also like that it's a small complex so not too crowded. We will definitely be back.

Honu Hideaway 210 was like being in a paradise dream. The outside of the building had me a little hesitant, but the inside was indeed dreamy. Everything was clean and comfortable and well thought out. The lanai steals the show though. The comfortable chairs and daybed were a perfect place to watch whales, turtules, and amazing sunsets. The only problem we encountered was the doorknow was loose and falling off. We found a screwdriver in the unit and fixed it no problem. Overall it was spectacular and I couldn't ask for anything better.

We had such an amazing time staying here! Our favorite was the lanai with ocean views that included whales, turtles, and gorgeous sunsets. Everything within the home was well maintained, clean, and well decorated. The day before on the lanai was was a perfect touch. Would highly recommend staying here!

We stayed at Jill’s studio for seven days in January 2022. It was a fantastic experience! The condo had everything one would need for moderately long vacations - we cooked, grilled, spent time on the beach in provided beach chairs, snorkeled, and watched whales right from the lanai! The laundry facility was easily accessible, and so were grocery stores and restaurants in the neighborhood. Jill was great in communicating with us pre-arrival and even during our stay. I’d highly recommend this little gem in Kahana!
