The house was absolutely perfect for our two families of 10! We loved the openess and there was plenty of seating for everyone. The driveway is definitely a climb, but as long as you approached and left at an angle it wasn't too bad. It was a great week!!

I can’t say enough about what an Amazing property this is. Wendy was a wonderful host providing us with “island favorites” for food and exploring before checking in. The home home was very spacious, comfortable, and beautiful! It was everything we hoped for! We were furnished with all the necessities we could ask for from kitchen appliances, to beach towels and beach equipment. Everything was included. The location was also perfect. This was truly an amazing property and we hope to return again some day!

Absolutely incredible home, even more spectacular than the pictures. We appreciated all of the thoughtful details in addition to the big-ticket features. The kitchen is loaded with everything we needed including super helpful extras like Tupperware, pantry items, and welcome beer and wine. So nice!
The house is simply fantastic. It was great to have a separate unit downstairs for our large family gathering. So many different nooks and crannies for morning coffee and cocktail hour. The kids loved exploring and taking over the downstairs when the adults got too adultish.
Wendy is such a generous host. Instant replies to any needs we had. Her on-island manager was also extra special. They were so kind to accommodate our needs.
I just can’t say enough good things about our experience. It was the perfect location for a splurge vacation celebrating my mom’s 80th. We hope to be back soon!

The Poipu Vista Villa is a large family oriented home with plenty of room to accommodate our family of 11. It is perfectly located in the Poipu Kai Resort area, close to beaches, restaurants and shops. Sand toys for the kids were provided along with a crib and stroller. We had a wonderful vacation. Our Ohana by blood and blessing (ages 2 months to 62 yrs) spent an unforgettable week in this exquisite and beautiful home in Koloa. Thoughtful touches, such as beach items, paper supplies, soaps, shampoo, conditioner, and pantry dry goods, made our transition to vacation seamless. Wendy was prompt in responding to our needs. The location can’t be beat! Though beautiful, after staying in the North Shore on our previous visit, we will only return to Poipu — and hopefully this amazing home. We were a family of 6 and this house was great in terms of location and space. There is a separate entrance downstairs with a full apartment - this was good for the teens to have their own space. The upstairs is the real stunner though - newly updated, great views from the upstairs lanai and a nice breeze - backyard has a lovely hot tub and very nice tropical landscaping. Master suite is very large, beds were quite comfortable. House had everything we could possibly need - even something as random as a charger I forgot for our speaker, they had one! Bedroom AC units were very nice to have. Owners were prompt and responsive to a couple of minor issues we had. Location cannot be beat - 13 minutes walking with a surfboard to the far end of Poipu beach and less than 10 minutes to watch the sunrise at Shipwreck Beach. Our teens made the walk to Little Fish and Starbucks easily too. Overall, great spot for the start of our Kauai vacation!

This home is amazing. It blows your mind. The views from the balcony to the back yard. The home is large and spacious. But the location is amazing. The beaches around are beautiful. Kid friendly and adult friendly. Many Restaurants within 1-3 miles. Shopping also. I can’t say enough about our stay. It was a trio of a lifetime for evryone who went.

Great property in a fantastic neighborhood. Upper floor is amazing. Great style with windows providing views you want during your stay. The lower level provides amenities need for your stay but it's not comparable to the upper level. Needs updating to catch up. We reached out a couple times to property owners/ managers and the response was always prompt. You will love your stay here. Very short walk to Shipwreck Beach. We drove all over the island and this property is on the best area. Wonderful. Thank you!

The beautiful Poipu home was the perfect place for our 50th anniversary. Our family of ten had plenty of room and had everything we needed. The location was ideal for walking to the beaches and exploring the island by car.

We cannot rave enough about Wendy and her beautiful home. Our great experience began months before our stay with spectacular communication from Wendy. She quickly responded to all our silly questions and graciously offered lots of recommendations. Communication, amenities, location, cleanliness, space and comfort was like 15 out of 10. We’d stay again in a heartbeat!
Her home was not only beautiful and spacious for the 9 of us, but had literally everything you could think of to make it beyond comfortable. The beds were insanely comfortable, the kitchen is loaded to the brim with everything you need, there was laundry detergents, toiletries in the bathroom, tons of board games (the adults loved playing games when the babies went to bed!), beach goodies like chairs, a wagon and loads of toys/life jackets, floaties, snorkel gear, etc. The backyard and front lanai offer beautiful outdoor settings that we enjoyed daily. The downstairs apartment was also huge! It even had a mini crib, kitchen, baby wallet and tons of extra space.
Everything was updated and so clean (I’m a germaphobe and picky so don’t say this lightly). Our stay was incredible in every way! We will keep memories with us forever and are so thankful for the opportunity to stay here! Thank you for everything Wendy!

The house was beyond my expectations. The kitchen was well supplied with everything we needed. We only needed to bring in food and drinks. The only things I would suggest is labeling the light switches as we were constantly turning on/off the wrong ones! The back yard is beautiful and the view from the front is excellent. By the way, the warnings about the driveway are accurate. It is very steep.

This house in Poipu Kai is everything we expected and more! The location was perfect, close to beaches and the Poipu Kai pool. Easy access to airport and shopping. The house was so comfortable for our family, we had a total of 7 people in our group. Meals on the front, wrap around patio were prefect made only better by that amazing view! If this house doesn't have it then you don't need it! They have everything you could possibly need for an amazing stay on Kauai. The price per night is incredible for definitely luxury feeling accommodations. Wendy was very responsive to the few inquiries we had but the stay was essentially hassle free from the start. We can't wait to go back and stay again.

Plenty of room for our entire family, 13 total. Beautiful house and property. Quiet neighborhood. Good location to shops, hotels and restaurants. Not really walking distance to beach unless you are walking there and not bringing anything with you. Appreciate everything being provided like laundry supplies, beach equipment, and bath/shower products. Teens also liked the gaming in the downstairs family room. Thankful for the ac units in bedrooms because it would have been miserably hot without them. No crosswind so even with doors to living areas open they didn't cool off much at all. Driveway is very steep had difficulty trying not scrape the rental car. Overall very nice place to stay.

They have tons of kids stuff, porta cribs, walker, highchair...tons of snorkeling gear, beach supplies. Driveway is steep but they have a very sturdy rail to walk up. Absolutely amazing place to stay for your visit to Kauai. Great location, walking distance to Shipwreck Brennecke's and Poipu beaches. Great restaurants and attractions. Wendy the property manager, and Stasea the local point of contact were awesome, very accessible. easy check in/out process. All the amenities for a wonderful stay. A Paradise in Paradise!! This is the place to stay for groups up to 12 people.

Beautiful home fit our family of 12 well! Home is conveniently located with walking distance to several beaches with a variety of beach features (snorkeling, boogie boarding, kids friendly, etc). Sunrise views from the rocky coastline are also a short walk and breathtaking!
The open concept of the home is perfect for this setting with large folding patio doors at the front and back of the house that allow a breeze from morning to night. Ceiling fans also helped keep air moving so well that we didn’t miss not having central air. Each bedroom is equipped with a mini split air conditioner for sleeping comfort. Bathrooms stocked with towels and wash cloths, as well as shampoo/conditioner/body wash. Kitchen stocked with dish soap, detergent, and garbage bags. Laundry detergent also stocked. The top and bottom units were well equipped with kitchen/cooking supplies to meet our needs- even a few spices were left over to help prevent you from needing to buy a large bottle for just a pinch. You can tell they make an effort to ensure you have supplies not easy to bring on a plane: crib, pack n play, stroller, and high chair, video games, board games, cards, yoga equipment, boogie boards, beach chairs, beach umbrella, snorkeling gear, sand toys, beach towels, coolers, and a wagon. We did have to buy more toilet paper and paper towels, but with a large group this was expected.
The outdoor areas are beautiful! Large second floor lanai with views of the mountains and scenery. The backyard is home to stunning tropical plants and a hot tub to help unwind. Access to local pool was a bonus we did not expect- Easy walk with access to nice pool and large hot tub!
Very few cons- the downstairs unit did seem to have a slight musty odor- most likely from moisture and the basement setting- and common in basement units. No mold or mildew that we saw and it wasn’t strong enough to be offensive- but if you are sensitive you may want to be aware.
We had one small issue with the power going out, but within 10 minutes it was back on with the flip of a switch. Wendy was very quick to accommodate us when the refrigerators stopped making ice and helped to ensure we had what we needed.
Overall the experience was unforgettable! We would certainly plan to rent this home again for future trips! Thank you for sharing your home and being so thoughtful in supplies/inventory!

We loved our stay with extended family of 11 people! House is gorgeous and views from dining on lanai is equally as great. A family reunion postponed twice since Covid hit in 2020 and Wendy and Nick could not have been more accommodating with our reschedules. Do yourself a favor and stay here for your next family get together. Kauai is the best.

Our first family trip to Kawai was an experience none of us will ever forget! That was do, in a large part, to our accommodations. The house is beautiful! It is large, spacious, comfortable, and beautifully located on the south side of the island. Access to other areas on the island made our location perfect. We spent a lot of time up East/North and West/North. Poipu seemed like the perfect location. In our own neighborhood, we were just a short walk from two beaches and the community swimming pool.
The house is full of so many accommodations! Paper products, toiletries, laundry supplies, and staples in the kitchen were just a few of the things left there for us to use. There were beach toys, beach chairs, a wagon, boogie boards, and lifejackets for the youngest kids. The house itself was beautifully clean and stocked with every kitchen pan/gadget you would need. We had a large group and ate almost every meal at home. There was plenty of room!
I did not have to reach out to the homeowner very often but when I did, I received an immediate response.
We are sad to be leaving Poipu and this beautiful home! We hope to return in the near future and would not dream of staying anywhere else!

We celebrated our 40th anniversary with our 4 sons and their families in this beautiful home. There was plenty of room for everyone and we especially enjoyed time on the lanai and in the hot tub. Gorgeous views! Close walk to beaches.

Pros: The house is in the perfect location. It's easy to access all beaches and the surrounding area is beautiful! The design of the home is great for a large family or multiple families, with lots of extra space. The house is well equipped for beach days. They provide towels, beach chairs, and coolers. Everything you need! The bedrooms are air conditioned and there is a nice outdoor breeze to cool off the living areas. The kitchen is well stocked, which is a nice added touch that you don't often find with a rental. Landscaping around the house is really pretty. The outside patio and living room have a stunning view of the surrounding mountains!
Cons: The house could use a good cleaning! There are two blue chairs in the kitchen area that are brown with dirt. The outside patio cushions are filthy. The living room couch, when the sun shines on it, it's a big cloud of dust when you sit down. Just a little vacuuming and some shampooing would go a long ways. The beds are very uncomfortable. The bed pillows are hard. Interior walls need a fresh coat of paint, especially in the entry way.
Overall, the house is great because of the location, it's size, and the amenities that they provide. It feels a little run down though. A few simple updates and it could be fantastic!

We rented this house for a friends and family getaway. The main house is beautiful and the separate house below was a perfect, quiet place for kids to sleep. Very well stocked with all the beach toys you need and Wendy was super responsive to all of our questions.

The location of this property was perfect for us. It was so nice to be able to walk to the beach whenever we wanted! We had 8 adults and three children, and there was enough space for everyone. We loved using the hot tub in the evenings, and enjoyed the spacious kitchen, dining, and living room upstairs. We would rent this property again.

Has just the right amount of beach chairs, toys, umbrellas, and water toys. Awesome open air layout with a great front deck for morning coffee time. Very comfortable and appealing.

Our family of ten had a lovely Christmas get away. The house is in such an ideal spot where you can walk a quarter mile to see the sun rise at Shipwreck Beach, then 1/4 mile the other direction to Brennekes Beach for sunset . The view of “Sleeping Giant “from the balcony is stunning… a wonderful spot to have breakfast- and also see the stars at night! The back yard is filled with pretty plants and playful birds. We used every square inch … as noted in previous reviews the downstairs is not connected- it is a nicely appointed space, but just a heads up, people sleeping down there can hear people walking around upstairs. Would not let that deter anyone from staying here because the house is truly a Treasure! Plenty of Beach paraphernalia-

We had a large group that included little kids stay at this property for a week. The place was very clean and inviting. The kitchen was well stocked. We thoroughly enjoyed the boogie boards and beach chairs/umbrellas.
We loved spending time outside on the balcony and the living area. The LOCATION of this property is fantastic- walking distance to Poipu beach. This used to be our hang out spot. There was something for everyone in our group- snorkeling, boogie boarding, just walking around and exploring.
Only the upstairs is renovated and has awesome views and feels airy. The living space upstairs is huge and we figured out a way to fit all of us upstairs. We didn’t use the downstairs area much.
We have already recommended this property to many of our friends and can’t wait to stay here again!

Our family absolutely loved everything about this house! So much space, beautiful views and privacy while enjoying the jacuzzi in the amazing backyard. You could see the sunrise from the lenai in the mornings or it's a quick walk to Shipwreck beach if you want an even better view. The walk to Brennecke's and Poipu beach was a little too much for us when we were lugging all the chairs and boogie boards provided, so we drove there most of the time - 2 min drive and plenty of parking in a lot across from Poipu beach! The snorkeling at Poipu is mindblowing, as well as the sunsets! Make sure to stay for a little after the sun sets so you can see the sea turtles come up on the beach :) And grab some lunch or dinner at Puka Dog! Everything was so perfect that we never had the need to contact the owners :)

My family and I could not be happier with our stay at Poipu Villa Vista. From the time our transportation pulled up to the house to the day we left we were thrilled to be enjoying an incredible vacation. The accommodations were terrific, the views of the mountains from the deck were majestic and being close to beaches and the wedding venue was great. Everyone in my family was ecstatic with the house. I would highly recommend this House in Paradise for your vacation! To top off our stay we witnessed beautiful rainbow’s on our last day! 🤙🌈

We had a party of 8 ages 10-55 and this was a great house for us. The location is perfect we could walk on a direct path to Poipu beach which has restaurants, rentals (boogie boards, snorkel, surf shop ) and has two beaches one for snorkeling (fish and turtles everywhere) and calm and one that the kids stayed on the entire time on their boogie boards.
On the other side are shops and other restaurants but the location of the house is not crowded at all. There is access to a great community pool which is on the path to the beach. We were thrilled.
The house is very clean and has everything you need. The adults all enjoyed the top level - which is renovated and beautiful. The views of the mountains are stunning and from the lanai you can see the ocean. Beautiful! The kids all loved staying on the bottom level. I would just note the levels are not connected you have to go outside and through another door but this was not a problem for us at all (the boys loved it.) The owners were very responsive and we had no issues at all during a week stay. We would definitely return to this house!

The floor plan and location of this spacious home made it the perfect place for our family vacation. The backyard is beautiful and private. The great room accommodated all eleven us with room to spare. The view from the deck and great room was gorgeous with a verdant mountain range as the backdrop. The cantina doors and louvers let the trade winds keep us cool day and night. Plenty of beach chairs with three beaches within about 15-minute walk. The owners and the local manager are super responsive.

This property had everything we needed and more. We brought our 6 teenagers (age 15-19) and there was a space (and then some) for everyone! Walkable to Shipwreck beach, walkable to Brennecke beach, walkable to the pool and restaurants. The house had beach chairs and beach towels and a wagon to haul it all. We had a small issue with the coffee maker and the property manager was responsive in seconds and brought us a new one immediately. She along with the owner Wendy were an absolute joy to work with and the house made this family incredibly happy and grateful for our time together in this beautiful home. The kids are all expecting us to bring them back again, so until next time, Mahalo!

Despite a small hiccup at check-in (to which the property manager and owner quickly responded and corrected), we had a great stay. Plenty of room for the grandparents, parents, and kids to all have their own space. Stunning view from balcony and walking distance to three beaches and a few restaurants. Our family of 12, ages 2 - 76 had an amazing week here. The house was perfect for our 4 families. The 2 families with the children under 10 stayed downstairs and had quiet places for early bedtimes and naps. Those 20 and over group were upstairs. We all enjoyed the hot tub and beautiful garden. The house is well equipped for cooking for our large group. This was our second visit and we all want to come back here again soon!
