We had 14 people.Grandparents, children and grandchildren, all adults. The 2 houses were perfect for us. The grandchildren slept on blow up beds. The great room in the main house had plenty of room for all of us at mealtime. The neighborhood was very nice and the house itself was quite nice

For us, the house was perfect. I had my family in the main house and our older friends in the guest house. We hosted dinners for 13 people, including friends from other hotels, with plenty of room and dishes for all. The grounds are lovely. The beach, as advertised, is about a 15 minute walk from the house, the little general store about the same in the other direction. Everyone agreed the house was perfect and we all loved the stay.

We have been coming to Kauai for over 35 years.We outgrew our timeshare at Lawai now that we have 4 kids with kids.We love to spend time together in Kauai so we now rent houses and this time we found an absolute gem! We traveled as 4 families (12 of us including a baby) This house is beautiful and provides absolutely everything you need to relax, cook, have fun talking, playing cards, walking, etc. There are 3 bedrooms in the main house with 3 bathrooms so everyone has access to their own. The separate house is wonderful and housed our daughter with her 4 yr old and new baby. It gave them the extra space needed to have a "quiet zone" so the rest of us didn't need to tip-toe around.There is a real crib to use in the garage and two portable cribs in the closets in the main house. There are also two high chairs which really was amazing so we didn't have to bring extra stuff. We were so grateful for this. They also provide shampoo and conditioner as well as laundry soap and the kitchen is fully fully stocked. The wrap-around porch is awesome where we spent a lot of time at night playing cards and dominoes while the kids went to bed early. The athlete club is also amazing.We have rented in this neighborhood before which gave us access so we deliberately looked for this option. The club has a beach-type pool where little kids are safe. It has a slide, a workout area, and pickleball courts! Something for everyone. We hope to stay here again and again.

3 families, 3 kids - the houses accommodates us all very well. The kitchen had evyneeded for cooking in as well. The location was great for driving to all nearby attractions but not good for walking. The only downside was the main living area didn't have AC so was pretty warm. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

Gorgous home and guest house. Spa wasnt working. Low on water and had we turned it on, it would have burned out the motor. The small amount of water had no chlorine in it and smelled really bad. The main bedroom and second bedroom both smelled heavy of urine...Maybe mold? Shower floor in guest house had sand on it. We had a wonderful vacation! Called prop. Mgr. regarding spa, But no one showed up to fix it. Grill on BBQ is shot! Other than that, it was a lovely stay!

We had a wonderful time at this home. Everything was super clean and we had everything we needed. The guest house was especially nice to be able to separate the younger toddler and put him to bed without making the rest of us worry about waking him up. The neighborhood was great for the kids to be able to ride their scooters and go for star gazing walks. It was the first time we stayed off the beach and it was more relaxing to have more room. We also had fun with all the beach toys and we used the club for swimming and pickleball.

We were a group of 9 adults ranging in age between 30 and 65 along with children ages 2, 5 and 7. The guest house was great for the older folks…. The kids and grandkids stayed in the main house. It was a awesome arrangement. Lots of amenities. It was really nice having access to the Poipu Beach & Athletic Club pool. After our day of activities we ended our day at the pool…. Just wish it stayed open longer (pool closed at 6:45). There were 2 beaches nearby, approximately an 8 minute (Shipwreck Beach) and 5 minute (Poipu Beach) drive, it was too hot to walk. We saw sea turtles and monk seals on Poipu Beach a few evenings at sunset. Pretty cool. Both the main house and guest house had huge front porches to hang out on later in the evening and a private yard connecting both properties. Would definitely rent again.

House easily accommodated my whole family (10 of us). It was clean and well stocked. The owner was responsive and pleasant to deal with. It is in a great location and the use of the athletic club was a plus. Plenty of parking. It had beach towels, umbrellas, chairs and a cooler which was nice to take to the beach. The only gripe my group had was the lack of AC in the family room. However the bedrooms had AC units so we were comfortable at night.

We booked this house for a group of 10 and it worked out great for us. We slept 6 in the main house and 4 in the guest house but there was plenty of room for all to gather for meals, games and conversation in the main house. The house was well stocked, location wonderful and communications with Kathryn was prompt. The bonus was having access to the athletic club. Mahalo for a great stay!

This was a beautiful house. Very close to many great beaches. Spacious enough that our family of 12 could spread out easily in the common areas and the outside veranda. There were only beds for 10, but luckily there were blowup mattresses available.

We were thrilled to find this amazing home (and we mean home!) in Poipu Estates for our big family getaway this past May. We stayed 13 days.
Settled in a quiet neighborhood and amongst friendly locals, we felt relaxed straight away.
There were 9 adults and 4 children aged 5-11. Having the guest house as well as loads of inflatable mattress options, we all fit wonderfully.
The home is equipped with beach towels , EVERYTHING for the beach (and we are active hikers and beach goers), plenty of linens (and 2 sets of washer / dryers) and so much more.
The lanai with the hot tub and all of the seating became a favorite spot to relax morning and evening. A great open patch of grass across the street was made for playing catch, tag, and all kinds of running 😂
You are equipped to utilize the club which is AMAZING! What a perfect spot for a gym workout (which we used daily) pickle ball, a great bite to eat, (live music on weekends) and a phenomenal pool and hot tub as well. This is a major perk! Great for unwind days when we are beached out!
The accessibility to beaches, amazing coffee, shopping, and so much local fare is within walking distance or a very short drive.
Kathryn (owner) is very kind and quick to respond to any needs or questions.
The price and value is spot on and helped make this an amazing memorable trip

Great set-up and location. We were two families of four (four adults, four kids total). The two houses allowed us to each have some private space, and then to easily congregate in the main house (great room) for meals and games. And the location was ideal ... walking distance to the beach, to Kiahuna golf course, and an easy drive to Koloa town, Waimea Canyon (our favorite hike on the island), Shipwreck Beach and so many more activities. The access to the Poipu Beach Club was icing on the cake -- the kids loved battling at pickelball, shooting a few hoops, etc. while adults logged fitness time. Overall, a wonderful spot and experience.

Description of property is accurate and location is great, the house and guest house well appointed, as well as tons of beach gear even for a group this size. -lots of room for our group of 14. Nice to have four bathrooms.
-quiet neighborhood which we felt very safe in.
-close to Poipu beach and a few other beautiful beaches but you do need a car to get around.
-ample supply of beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards and scuba gear.
-very nice lanai (covered deck) which we used all the time as we got a lot of rain on our trip but we were still able to sit outside which was great especially since there were virtually no bugs!
-nice large BBQ but when we got there it had not been cleaned and had a lot of grease in it so the first time we tried BBQing we got a lot of flames. Was great after we cleaned it.
-beds were ok for comfort but the bedding was very good quality.
-we had three vehicles and there was ample parking room.
-kitchen was very well stocked with pans and pots and plates. The cutlery could be replaced and the dishwasher was quite old and worked just ok. We ended up hand washing a lot of dishes.
-the air conditioning is only in the bedrooms and we didn’t use them as some of us tried them the first night and found that they made the rooms quite musty. The air conditioning units just need to be cleaned we felt. But it was more than comfortable if we just opened our windows at night. The main area where we cooked would get very warm at night so we had to open all the windows and then shut them before bed. The blinds were easy to manage but one blind was not working when we arrived. Advise… just make sure that if you see something not working to let the owner know right away. We waited too long to tell her about it. And since there were three different types of blinds it is obvious that they have had lots of problems with them. We were extra careful with the blinds so besides the one that was jammed we had no issues. But an air conditioner in the main area would save you from having to open and shut the windows so much. But if you are not turning on the oven at all then it likely wouldn’t get as hot in there.
-the washing machine in main house had the pump quit (it was also an older unit) but a maintenance guy came right away although he was unable to fix it. But the good news is that there is a second washer and dryer in the guest house.
-the hot tub is very nice but only fits three adults. Unfortunately, we were there over the holiday weekend so the pool guy who usually services it on Monday didn’t show up. But we got ahold of the owner and he did come and service it on the Thurs.

Thank you, Katherine, for sharing your beautiful home with us. We’re a multi=generation Canadian family gathering for a Christmas holiday and the property was well-suited for our group of 9. The main house and guest house were well furnished, kitchen was very well equipped and beds were very comfortable. It was great to have access to the Poipu Beach Athletic Club; which allowed for diverse activities close by. Having access to beach chairs and snorkelling equipment was a nice touch and we made good use of those! We really enjoyed our stay in Kauai... Mahalo!

This was our family’s third time visiting Hawaii but our first timing staying in a VRBO and we could not have asked for anything better. Not only was the home just as promised, as far as rooms and amenities, it was decorated with so many intriguing items appropriate to the culture that you felt its magic the minute you entered.
It was the perfect place to start our days and the perfect place to end our nights with family meals and game time in the main house.
And on a clear night if you sit quietly at the end of the driveway you’ll swear that you see a billion stars!! And if you’re as lucky as we were maybe a shooting star or two or three!

This gorgeous home provided a beautiful place to relax and gather as a family of 13. The decor makes you feel like you are part of a Hawaiian museum collection. Preparing meals together in the chef’s kitchen, having coffee on the covered porch while the grandkids enjoyed the yard and playing in the portico. As well as enjoying the birds in the beautiful landscaping and seeing the moon and stars at night. We loved our stay here with the ample beds and guest house and especially the close proximity to some of the very best beaches on the island. It was a dream come true and we hope to stay here again in the future.

We had a lovely time at this beautiful property that was accurately described and pictured on VRBO. Kathryn was responsive and accommodating, making us feel like we were the only ones emailing her question after question. Home is decorated Island Style with good taste. We appreciated the many extras in the kitchen for stay in meals and in the garage for beach time activities. The kids loved the pools at the Beach Club. We came during a bit of a hot spell and if on one evening the trade winds didn’t blow much, it was wonderful to have the option of AC in the bedrooms at night. We highly recommend this lovely property in a beautiful, conveniently located area.

We were married on shipwreck Beach and stayed here as the base camp for wedding. A mix of over 30 family and friends joined us with 12 at the property. It was perfect! Lots of room to hang out and visit. Ample parking. Open living space was roomy and workable. We even used the grills and catered 3 meals for the tribe. Spacious house with plenty of room for my family with 5 kids. My parents and brother stayed in the guest house. It was nice to have our own space but still be close. Owner was really great about communicating and shared information about activities and events at the athletic club which we used several times. The front porch was perfect for relaxing with the spa and barbecue grill. It was nice to plan some meals at the house so we didn't have to go out to a restaurant for every meal. So close to beaches, shops and restaurants. There was a lot of beach gear there and available for us to use. Overall it was a perfect Kauai vacation.

When I first saw this property I knew it was a good pick but, trust me when I say the pictures don’t do this property justice! I was in town for my wedding and when I first reached out to Kathryn she immediately responded and informed me they had a close love one host their wedding party on the property. I knew then, we were in good hands. Besides the property being beautiful and In a great area what stood out the most was Kathryn’s responsiveness to any question I had (which was a lot). As I’m sitting here on a balcony in Honolulu my heart really wants to be back in Kauai relaxing at this beautiful home.

Our 4 generations (ages 2-89) loved this place. Very clean and family friendly. Having access to the fitness center and pool with a slide was a big hit with the children. The beach supplies in the garage for all ages was a bonus. The host was great to work with as we planned during the pandemic, and thought through cautions and potential adventures. We highly recommend this place and this owner. Central location too.

We had four couples. The bedrooms are nicely spaced apart. Two have en-suite bathrooms and 2 had nearby hallway bathrooms so no one had to share! A huge plus for couples traveling together. The beach is a short 1 minute drive and the beach club membership is a huge plus with beautiful pool. Lots of restaurants nearby too.

This is a delightful home with a guest house that is quiet, soothing, and peaceful. The house is festooned with Hawaiian artifacts that have history and prestige. The layout is nice, open, and airy. Let me start by saying this property was just stunning!! We were in Kauai for our daughters wedding and rented the houses to host the bridesmaids and some family.
Our group fit perfectly and it was a beautiful place to get ready for the wedding and take
pictures with the bridesmaids. The guest house was perfect for family to stay and the main house was more than able to accommodate the bridesmaids and my daughter.
Kathryn was a very attentive host and the property has all the amenities needed to have an enjoyable, comfortable stay with a large group.

We really enjoyed the property. It was spacious, well-equipped and accommodated our party of 10 well. Our college-aged students stayed in the guest house, while the rest of us enjoyed the main home. We thought the neighborhood was beautiful and the location was great. We enjoyed several dinners out on the deck. Only complaint was the bar-b-que wasn't heating properly. But the owner is looking into to it. We took advantage of the Poipu Athletic club (gym, volleyball, and poolside lounging). We would definitely come back!
