Great stay and better location! We were close to everything and had the best view off the deck! In-suite laundry & kitchen made the condo even better.
It seemed like some tenants in the complex were regular tenants, but others were short term rentals. Quiet neighborhood with awesome bakery nearby for malasadas. 5 minute drive to food and entertainment. Only con is the stairs to the 3rd floor condo, but the view is worth it.

We stayed a week midMay and feel grateful to have found such a great location for such a reasonable price! The decor has a nice island feel and there is good attention to a lot of details. The kitchen and washer/dryer were great. We did not use the AC, which they request you not set lower than 75 degrees, so I am not sure how good that is. The jalousie windows on the door are broken and a sign says the parts are on order -being able to open those will have a big positive impact for not using AC. There is street noise in the bedroom, which wearing earplugs took care of. The refridgerator noise in the main area, may be an issue for people sleeping in the living room. he road construction appears complete, but there was still significant traffic backup on the main road to plan around. The owner Lisa responded to questions quickly prior to our travel and the resident manager is friendly and helpful. The pool area is very pretty and has grills available. Would have liked to have boogie boards and umbrella as mentioned in earlier reviews, but appreciated the float noodles, cooler and 2 Tommy Bahama chairs. Renting bikes in Kapa'a was great for an ocean view ride and the Lydgate Farms chocolate tour is not far. The owner provides the 2019 The Ultimate Kauai Guidebook: Kauai Revealed, which was essential for our stay, and there is a 2022 version available or you can get an app.

This condo was wonderful and perfect for our needs. Amazing view, short distance to Coconut Market, centrally located, so that we could easily drive to any part of the island. The kitchen is well stocked, which made it easy to prepare meals if we wanted. Beach chairs, ice chest, umbrella, all provided. Lisa is very easy to work with, and very responsive to any questions or needs. My husband and I will definitely be returning.

As every year, we had a great stay. The owner Lisa keeps adding little updates and improvements, and she keeps the price reasonable. Nice having beach chairs, umbrella and cooler waiting on the lanai. And someone left chip clips! Yay! Also a new set of knives. The highway is almost finished and will have two lanes in each direction. Will really smooth out traffic backups. But who hears traffic? All we hear 24/7 is surf! A million dollar view for sure. See you next year!

GREAT OCEAN VIEW. The property was very clean goof internet and adequate bedding. Walking distance to the coconut grove marketplace . Mark, the onsite property manager, was very helpful. I loved being so close to the ocean and hearing it at night.

It’s the third story of the condo complex so the view is incredible from the lanai. It overlooks a large beach so you get to hear the waves whenever you want. It has an AC unit in the living room and fans for the bedroom. I enjoyed the front door locking mechanism so you don’t need to remember to bring a set of keys anytime you went on an adventure. If/when we decide to come back to Kauai, I wouldn’t mind seeing if this condo is available to stay at.

We enjoyed staying for a week at this apartment. It had everything we needed for two adults and two children.
Make sure you print out the entrance instructions prior to fly to HI. When we arrived, the VRBO app didn't work and fortunately the host emailed us detailed instructions, so we could follow it.

Perfect place to stay on the island. Quick drive from airport and quick drive to south and north shores! apartment was big, comfy fresh and the sound of the waves are so perfect. There is a main road but unless someone honks you wouldn’t even know. Passions Bakery is across the street and tu/th/sat they sale fresh malasadas (lilikoi is a must!) food right down the street. Two waterfalls very close. Just the perfect place. Also the manager is a gem! Such a sweet guy.

Perfect location basically halfway between the island. Made it really easy to get to everywhere we wanted to go. Mark is very helpful with any questions we had. The condo gave us great views of Wailua Bay and had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Pictures as indicated, BEAUTIFUL VIEWS of the beach and Sunrise. Location could not ask for any better and the willingness of the proprietor to.allow us to stay late (of course for a fee) was great as our flight got changed by the airline. I think the drawback was there is no AC in the bedroom and a couple of the Windows could not open and with no AC in the bedroom hard to sleep at night even with the fan. It was a great trip though and Thanknyou for opening your home to us.

Everything was easy here, and the pool was amazing as it still gets the sun in the afternoon so you can have a dip once you return from exploring. The surrounding area outside of the property is a bit tired, but the complex and unit are not. The USB chargers directly in the wall were perfect for our family of 4 with only a couple of converting plugs (we're from NZ) and 2 teenagers! So was the chilly bin (cooler). Mark the manager is friendly and helpful. Yes there are still roadworks going on but the ceiling fan helped to minimise noise, and the pounding surf means you can't hear it at the front of the unit at all. Super clean and comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay at the Wailua bay-view, it was very clean and comfortable. Very convenient keyless entry and as soon as you walk in what a view, beachfront and so beautiful . On the third floor so you definitely get your steps in. The only con would be that there was road construction going on so a couple of nights it did get a little noisy, still a lovely place and a great price.

Awesome stay! The owner was fantastic to work with and gave information that made everything so easy. The condo was very well equipped (except for pot holders- we used dish towels) and the beach chairs, umbrella and boogie boards were a bonus! We highly recommend this property and we do not lightly say so as we quite often book through vrbo.

It was just as described, a great place to explore the island from or sit on the linai and take in the view of the Pacific from this 3rd floor condo! The beach chairs, boogie boards, masks/snorkels/fins, and the cooler were super nice to have. Definitely recommend!

Have stayed in this unit several times over the past years. Central location for island exploring. Local restaurants and shopping. You can often walk the entire length of Wailua beach and be the only one on it. Owner is very responsive and gracious and has made nice updates to unit. Lots of beach pariphinalia at unit (chairs, boogie boards, umbrella, etc.). Can't wait to come back!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Beautiful view of the ocean and sunrise while sitting on the balcony enjoying breakfast. Good value for the price. Appreciated having boogie boards, chairs, sun umbrella, snorkel and flippers available. Location is central to going north or south on the island and only 12 minutes drive from the airport (when traffic is light). Highway is right outside your door which provides easy access (and noise)! Master bed is huge and comfy, pull out couch is not (slept on the floor making a bed out of the couch cushions). Resident chickens crow you awake as is the case all over the island. Kitchen is very functional but missing a few key things like a kettle. Great courtyard with barbeques and pool. Nice to have a dishwasher and washer and dryer in the suite. The unit was clean but could use a little maintenance (doors stick and cause a lot of noise, screen broken). I'd come again tomorrow!

The property is small which was nice. Plenty of parking, the pool area is absolutely gorgeous and very well maintained. The condo was beautiful couch super comfy they have all the amenities. The only thing I wished they had AC in the bedroom, there is only a small AC wall unit in the living room that does not reach the bedroom at all. Other than that the place is stunning with the lanai overlooking the ocean. I would definitely stay here again.

The stay was just as pictured. Many linens & towels, lots of cookware and counter space, dishwasher, comfortable bed & pull out couch. The views are unreal and the sound of the ocean kept our 4 month old baby asleep all night. The a/c is new but still a smaller power for the big space it’s cooling, but we kept cool running it along with fans to blow cold air toward the bedroom. No problem with it at all. A few stairs to manage but if you aren’t carrying large heavy items whilst walking up them it’s not a big deal. Would stay again!!

If you're suspicious of the price like I was, just know the typical reasons you'd see a place like this priced relatively low are not in play (no bugs, it's clean, it's spacious, everything works). It's just one of maybe a handful of units without a bedroom air conditioner, so the bedroom stays a little warm (77F was the lowest our baby monitor ever showed with either the AC or all windows open). The air conditioner in the living room is on the opposite side as the hallway to the bedroom, so the air kind of stays circulating in the living instead of traveling down to the bedroom. I'd say that's the only con about this rental - it's hard to cool down. That and after 756 trips up and down the stairs with two kids and a heavy wagon stroller, we were dreaming about an elevator.
The view is gorgeous, there's plenty of room for a pack and play in the bedroom with room still to maneuver, there's enough floor space in the living room for the kids to get energy out, the balcony is carpeted (but the one AC unit for the condo is also out there and pretty much falling apart from the ocean proximity, so you'll need to sweep up chunks of rusting metal if you want your littles to crawl around or you just want to be barefoot), the location is fantastic - walking distance to a shopping center with a small grocery and few places to eat one direction and Lydgate park is walking distance the other direction (on a protected bike path from the highway), the pool is nice and deep, and it's very quiet (maybe we were the loud neighbors, but we didn't hear a peep on either side of us).
If you can deal with a little warmth (and I stress little - it always felt a few degrees cooler than our baby monitor showed), this an excellent choice for a couple or if you have small kids. This rental suited our needs much better than a traditional hotel room could have.

This is our third time staying at Wailua Bay View but our first time staying at #309. We were pleased with all the amenities provided. Ample cups, glasses, dishes etc. Condo was clean and neat when we arrived. We utilized the beach chairs, boogie boards and nice size cooler. There was a glitch with one of the appliances but Lisa was very attentive and responded quickly to alleviate the issue. We appreciate her efforts to make our stay comfortable. We enjoyed some morning sweets from Passion Bakery right across the street. If you’re traveling to Hanapepe Bobbie’s is the place for a plate lunch. Also did the kayak tour on the Wailua River (Ali’i Kayaks). Loved both the East and West trails up to the Sleeping Giant. Did the Canyon Trail at Waimea Canyon but was a bit muddy 😳. Beached it at Lydgate, Salt Pond Beach and Kealia. Will definitely return soon. Thank you Lisa.

the apt was very spacious and very peaceful....the view of the ocean and the sound of the crashing waves was so soothing. It felt like a home and not just a hotel room. I would definitely stay there again.
