Great location with low tourist traffic. Great views of the water, Lanai, Molokai, and turtles in the water feasting on the seaweed on the rock wall. The location was great to get to other sites north or south. I will be back! Mahalo!

Location, location, location! The place is right by the ocean, with good ocean breezes. It was hot (80s) when we were there but the place stayed cool and it never got too hot inside. Place is well stoked with kitchen utensils and laundry detergent. We saw three turtles in different times of the day by the beach. The little beach is private and good for swimming at any time of the day, and only a few people are there usually.

We really enjoyed our stay the condo was perfect for my husband and I. There were two things I would of liked 1 being a little better lighting for putting makeup on in the bathroom and a floor fan.
We could see the turtles swimming around from the porch. Being right on the ocean was such a plus and the beach area felt like a private beach.

We saw whales and many moms with their babies, swam with turtles and watched them feed every night at the sea wall, beautiful sunsets and, when there was no sunset due to position of clouds, spectacular sky show of colors. There were tears when we left - we stayed longer than usual but even 10 days wasn't enough.

Our stay was unfortunate that we were down with a cold the entire time, but at least we were here instead of at home 35 degree temps.The room was nice as usual but the rug in the living room needs replaced and the hide a bed sofa is broken , very uncofortable to try and sleep on, ended up sleeping on the floor.The toilet needs repair , the dump valve leaks so it kept having to fill the tank all the time.Overall we enjoyed our stay, just wont pick that room to stay in again.

This was our second stay at Lokelani. We love the location. The property is nestled in amongst several other condos which limits public access to the beach. This made our ocean-front condo feel secluded, almost private. Our condo was clean and well-maintained. Management checked in with us to see that our stay was enjoyable. We will be back.

This was our first time staying at Lokelani. For the last 30 years we've stayed about a mile up the road but it was all booked up for our dates so we decided to give Lokelani a try. We very much enjoyed our stay! I read a lot of reviews before we booked so just want to address a few points - yes it is true that maybe some of the decor/furniture is a bit outdated, but we enjoy the kitsch and also everything was well functioning and clean, and we spent most of our time doing activities or sitting outside so having "outdated" style didn't matter to us because we didn't spend all that much time in the unit. The kitchen was well stocked in terms of plates, cooking tools etc though we needed to restock oils, spices, foil, ziplocs, etc. Laundry machine worked fine, shower was great (water hot quickly, strong water pressure). We like to have the ocean breeze and fans instead of using AC and felt that it didn't get too stuffy/hot at night with just the fan. It is a bottom floor unit so we definitely got woken up by the people above us a few times (children running back and forth early in the morning, and one of the days what we could only assume was packing since we kept hearing slamming noises), so just something to be aware of if you're not an apartment dweller who's already used to noises like this. In terms of beach access, you'll need to be aware that you have to pay attention to the tides, because sometimes it's easy to walk over to the beach in front of the building to the north of Lokelani, but when the tide is high the waves do get pretty strong and I didn't feel safe trying to jump in and swim over to the beach. But in the mornings it was easily accessible and we'd have a nice walk over there. The unit is very close to grocery stores, coffee, takeout, ABC store, gas, etc. So overall, had a great time, we'd come back and stay in this unit again!

I knew from the pictures that this condo was right by the ocean, but I didn't realize just what that meant. The building sits about 20 feet from the sea wall, with a semi-private beach on the edge of the property. I could sit on the porch or just inside and listen to the ocean all day. Every evening different people would sit on the grass watching the sunset. I would gladly stay here again on my next visit!

There were several that were out. A106 needs to be upgraded, water heater was out of commission the first 3 days of the our stay, they popcorn ceiling as dust hanging from the ceiling. Overall the location is great and the beach we had access to was perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The units themselves could use a refresh. All three of the lower level units need new mattresses for the bed and the pull outs. Highly recommend doing that ASAP.

This condo was clean. It was fully stocked. The view was amazing! We saw turtles swimming in the water in front of our condo many times during our stay! There wasn't a need for AC. It was windy during our stay, and the fans helped. This was my first time staying in Maui, and hopefully not my last. I would definitely stay at the Lokelani Condos again! Thank you for everything!

This was our fourth visit to Maui and we have loved everywhere we stayed but Lokelani is now our favorite. This was a last minute trip and A105 was the only available condo with an ocean view in our price range. When we arrived we saw how much we lucked out. The unobstructed view from the lanai of the incredibly beautiful greens and blues of the surf, whale spouts, breaches, and whale tails, was more than we could have hoped for. The lanai patio furniture was the nicest we saw. The condo is lovely and comfortable on the inside, too. It is one-half mile or about a 10 minute walk to the Maui Fish Market, and also Ohana Tacos, two of our favorite places to get lunch or dinner. We ordered take out and ate on our lanai since there were no better views anywhere. Bath and beach towels are provided and the washer/dryer in the condo assures you won't run out of clean clothes or swimsuits. The beach at the end of the walk is wide and generously sandy and is the favorite spot for Hawaiian green sea turtles to push themselves out of the water and warm themselves in the sun. Everyone was very good about staying at least 10 feet away but that was close enough to get great pictures. We can't wait to go back!

The Lokelani's floors transmit vibrations easily. Our first 4 days were great until new arrivals upstairs, who ruined our last 6 days. Every day from 6AM one would pace around heavily and let infants run back and forth for hours. We complained to Lokelani management several times, and they did their best by talking to the guests and Chasing Rainbows management, but nothing helped.

Over we liked the place and the location to the water. There are just a couple small things missing that would make the condo really nice. One thing is the condo is in need of a deep clean. There was spilled coke on a wall in the kitchen, the fronts of all the cabinets really needed to be cleaned as well. The bathroom walls also had hairspray all over the walls. A deep cleaning of this place is necessary to recommend this place to a friend. The kitchen could use 4 plastic glasses to take to the pool and more or better lighting in the family room. These small changes could make this a really great place.

We had wonderful stay. Liz was very helpful and considerate of our needs and special requests. On a minor note, I would suggest the automatic lawn sprinklers be turned off after rainy days to avoid waste. There were a couple non-working specialty ceiling lights and a smoke detector in A105, and the Bose stereo/radio needs the optional antenna. Otherwise, everything was great!

I really hate giving this place a great review....only because I don't want to give up the best place to stay on the island!!! This condo has everything, plus it's own private beach. If you want to look at the beautiful ocean everyday and night this is the place. You have a private patio, with ocean only feet away. This condo is huge, clean, & stocked with everything you could possibly need and things you didn't even think about needing. Gift basket, brochures on places to eat and play. Clean clean clean, comfortable, stocked full, it was more than I imagined. It made our stay very enjoyable, & the only place we will stay now when we come to Maui.
