From the moment you enter 13D, you will enjoy the expansive view of the greenery and the stylish furnishings. A short walk takes you to an infinity pool, hot tub, children’s pool area, and Anaehoomalu Bay, one of the prettiest beaches in the area... no need to get in the car to get to the beach! You're just steps away.

Use of the one-car garage keeps your rental car cool and makes unloading suitcases and groceries easy! 13D also provides guests a variety of beach/pool gear including a cooler, beach chairs, boogie boards, and sun umbrellas. The unit includes outdoor and indoor games – perfect for guests looking to play, or just relax and unwind.

13D is decorated in a tropical Tommy Bahamas style and is very open and bright. The great room features a comfortable couch and two chairs facing an armoire with TV/DVD with surround sound and hundreds of high-definition television stations. The dining area has a large table with seating for six. The well-equipped kitchen features granite counters, stainless steel appliances, plenty of cabinet space, and an assortment of small appliances.

Floor-to-ceiling pocket doors open to the spacious lanai, which features a teak dining table with 5 chairs, 2 lounge chairs, and a built-in BBQ center with outdoor fridge and sink.

The spacious master bedroom offers a king-size bed with beautiful bedding and a cozy chair for reading. The attached bath has a large walk-in shower, deep soaking tub, dual vanities, and an enormous closet.

One guest bedroom offers two twin beds and an attached bathroom with tub/shower combo. The other guest bedroom features a queen bed and an attached bathroom with walk-in shower and a separate bathtub.

All bedrooms have TVs.

All bathrooms feature stylish granite vanities.

Other amenities of Kolea 13D are high-speed Wi-Fi (upgraded in October 2018), full size washer/dryer, dual zone air conditioning, and access to the facilities at the Hilton Waikoloa Village – a wonderful destination for families with young children and only minutes away.

The condo was paradise! Great location and amenities. We ate all our meals in the well appointed kitchen and lanai. It’s a 3 minute walk to the community pool or beach. I can’t say enough how happy we were with our stay.

The condo is very clean and well maintained, with lots of space for a family. The Kolea swimming pool and hot-tub are excellent; 'Anaeho'omalu Beach, which has amazing sunsets, is just a short three minute walk from the pool area. The Hilton Pool Pass was an added bonus, and we enjoyed their pool and lagoon. We visited Hapuna Beach one day, and enjoyed using the boogie boards which were available in the garage. Close to shopping and restaurants at King's Marketplace. We would certainly stay here again.

Nice property, very clean and comfy. Good location, easy walk to the pool/hot tub, beach, and shopping. The older people appreciated the ground floor. And we all appreciated all the beach supplies. Had a wonderful week.

Wonderful place with short walk to great swimming and snorkeling, set up for in-door/out-door lifestyle with grill and refrigerator on patio. Stayed there for 10 days and would go back without hesitation.

If we could give 10 stars we would! Can’t say enough great things about this property, the host, and the location. Firstly, the home is everything the listing represents - immaculate. Perhaps more importantly is the location - which couldn’t be more convenient. A-Bay may not be the most pristine beach you’ve ever seen, but to be walking distance is the best. Not to mention easy access to all the other areas the big island has to offer. Thanks for everything!

Our family of 5 spent our 2022 spring break at this property. Absolutely perfect location - easy and quick walk to the pool, beach, and all the shopping. Also a great location to see the island. We loved coffee and breakfast each morning on the lanai with beautiful views of mountains. Condo is very well stocked - kitchen, beach chairs and toys, towels, boogie boards, everything. We really enjoyed the pass to the Hilton hotel pool, used it a couple times during the week. When we come back to the Big Island, we are definitely staying here again.

Great Condo in a great location! It had all the amenities and it was a great surprise to have an access card to the Hilton Resort. We loved the pool clubhouse area and closeness to the beach. The only negative was that the AC system would only cool the main family room area and kitchen while the bedrooms were much warmer. We will definitely come back for another vacation.

The property is beautiful and quiet. We loved walking over to the pool each morning to get our coffee. The kids preferred to use the pool onsite rather than go to the Hilton due to the volume of people at the Hilton and long walk from the parking lot. It feels more like Las Vegas at the Hilton and Kolea feels so private. The stove and oven were tricky to use as the dials were worn and no instructions were left on how to use them though we figured it all out by ourselves. It was great to have all toiletries, laundry detergent, dishwasher soap, paper goods all provided. When we ran, out we just called over to the office to get more supplies. We were amazed at the amount of pantry items that we were able to use. Spices, oils, syrups, 3 shelves on the fridge door had usable items as well. I wish I had known before we got there. Actually, I did ask and I was told by management that they throw everything away after a guest leaves so not to plan on anything being there. Luckily, this wasn't true. We saved so much money by using what we could find. We loved snorkeling at A-bay and found even better snorkeling at 49 Black Sand Beach. We ate most meals outside, but found it inconvenient to have the sliders open. One morning we had a bird in the house we had to chase out. There are so many cats and ferrets in the area that we were worried we would have them come in as well. My only other comment is that the couch or the pillows on the couch caused our allergies to come out and the couch wasn't very comfortable to sit on. But, this would not cause us not to stay here again. I was so glad that I was able to safely get my 85 year old mom showered in the guest bathroom as it has a hose shower head. A grab bar in that shower would be a good addition since it does have a seat. We were here for 11 days and can't wait to come back here again someday.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Second year staying in the beautiful property. It was just as wonderful as our first stay. We enjoy the great location, panoramic view, and professional management company. Looking forward to staying next year! One note, the internet appears to be DSL, and is VERY slow. I would recommend an upgrade in internet service for future renters.
