This is a great place to stay on the North Shore. The unit is part of an older building, but it is well maintained and spotlessly clean. It’s in a great location for exploring this beautiful part of the island. We really enjoyed our stay here.

What a wonderful experience with the host, and a great location. The condo is in a great location for exploring the North Shore. It was very tidy and had many great supplies for the beach. The cooking amenities were limited. It is only set up for takeout, with disposable cutlery and picnic dishes. A pearing knife would have been nice to enjoy the local pineapples and other fruits and baked goods. The balcony is for looks only, it’s not a usable space to enjoy the outdoors. Overall it was a clean place to stay in a cute little condo facility with a nice pool, nearby trails, pickle ball and tennis courts. The hosts were very helpful whenever we needed help with parking or local ideas and attractions. We would definitely visit this area again.

We used Tiki Terrace (aka Tropical Paradise Studio) as a base to explore Oahu’s North Shore. Communication with the owners was excellent. Vera & Steve provided clear communication about entering the complex & the unit. The studio was spotless & nicely decorated. Steve greeted us & explained what we needed to know about the unit & the area. Very helpful. The studio is fairly small with a queen sized bed, dining table for 2, coffee nook with refrigerator (Keurig with coffee was provided), good sized & updated bathroom. There are no cooking facilities in the room, including microwave. Amenities, such as cups, plates & cutlery are available (in the closet). Next to the dining table is a sliding glass door. There’s a small balcony in front of the table. It’s not for sitting or hanging wet towels, etc. It’s the only window in the studio. The air conditioner is behind the refrigerator in the coffee nook. So only a portion of the a/c is exposed. It didn’t work very well at cooling the room. So the room was warm at night, even using the ceiling fan. In Hawaii folks use the trade winds to stay cool, so windows are open for cross ventilation. We didn’t keep the sliding door open at night because of the bright lights in the parking lot & poor fit of the screen. On the grounds are a common pool, bbq. Parking is just outside the unit. You’re close to grocery stores & food trucks, the beaches & Waimea Botanical Garden. Nice place, nice people. Great visit to Oahu’s North Shore.

I stayed here with my two daughters for a week. One daughter slept on a provided pad on the floor, which she said was okay. The owners are very helpful and it is very clean and well taken care of. It is in a nice, quiet and safe location on the north shore. It’s the size of a hotel room and is great if you don’t need a kitchen.

Love staying in this unit when we come to visit our family who live on the North Shore. It’s an affordable place to stay in Turtle Bay. The owner is great to work with and very responsive. The unit is clean and quiet. Slept good all 7 nights. It’s our second stay and we look forward to returning!

Vera and Charlie have a beautiful place and I cannot say enough good things about the location. The hikes surrounding it are excellent, access to the Turtle Bay resort was fun for evening cocktails, and it was the perfect jumping off point for exploring the north shore. Plus, Charlie went above and beyond to make our stay in excellent. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

Room was just as described, definitely small but cozy. Loved the beach chairs, umbrellas and cooler provided. Wish there was a small microwave and toaster but the small fridge was nice. We would have loved big fluffy cotton beach towels instead of thin microfiber. Host was awesome, thorough and friendly. We loves our stay.

Better than expected! The property manager met us there at 11:00 PM. He was so kind and walked us thru everything. The room was spotless. They even provided beach towels, bug spray, beach chairs and an umbrella. There is a small refrigerator for drinks, milk etc. A small table for all the fresh fruit we were eating! You will have a parking spot, and access to everything at the Turtle Bay Resort. Can't say enough great things about this place.

Clean, comfortable and a good location. Just a little too austere for me. There is only a coffee maker and I had to stir my coffee with a pen the first morning. Wife slept in and went to Teds Bakery down the street a brought breakfast back with plastic utensils.

Had we stayed for one or two nights, it would have been okay. But ten days in a guest bedroom with just a small fridge and we had to turn off the air conditioning every time we left, so the room was stuffy and humid when we got back. Ice was not available. Would not refer to other guests.

The room was very clean and reasonably priced compared to the resort down the road. The property owners put a lot of thought into items guests may need to fully enjoy their stay which was great. Property owners were very kind and knowledgeable of the area. I was not aware the room shared a wall and internal door with property owners (it is actually the master bedroom) and that we would need to go over rules of the property in person with the owner upon arrival. There are six pages of house rules for a less than 200sq ft room including very nit picky things such as not staining the white towels with acne medication, turning off the a/c every single time you leave the room, not having the fan at certain speeds, and having to charge $400 if a water stain is left on one of the many wood surfaces. The listing states there is a toaster which there isn’t, and actually there is no cooking of any kind allowed in the room at all. This would have been nice to know prior to purchasing breakfast items that needed a toaster. Overall we enjoyed our brief stay but do not feel the listing is completely accurate for the property.

Vera and Charlie are great hosts, very friendly and communicative and provided lots of information about the local area and things to do. Highly recommend if you're planning on staying at this part of the island.

It was a very nice and clean place to stay. The communication was excellent and the owner was great.
The check-in process was longer than I thought, since the owner kindly explained all the systems in the room and neighborhood, so I would recommend to get there when you have some flexibility in time.
One one thing that was not super clear to me on the page (and it was probably on me) was this is a room of the residency they own and you will share a wall with them. You will still have a private entrance so it didn't bother us but I know some people care so I thought I'd share it here.

Loved that we were in the Turtle Bay Resort Complex. The Beach was lovely as was the convenience of coffee from the hotel lobby. Our accommodation was spotless with the added bonus of beach chairs and a boogie board to use. The pool was heated and great to relax by after exploring the area. Vera gave us lots of great information on supermarkets, where to eat and walks in the area. For the 3rd person (11yo) on the futon it does take up space so not much room for luggage. There is a fridge but NOTE no cooking, ie no microwave or toaster. We had a great time.

This was perfect for my boyfriend and me to attend a wedding at Turtle Bay without paying resort prices. The room was clean, organized, and comfy with nice closet space to stash our things (would be doable but a tight squeeze if we'd added a third guest though). The location was great for walking to the resort and beaches and made it easy to drive to nearby grocery stores and food trucks. Charlie and Vera were very helpful and made sure we had all the info we needed for navigating check-in/check-out, amenities, and local points of interest. Great little base for a North Shore stay!

This property was perfect for us. Just two of us at a location seemingly isolated from hustle and bustle of the rest of the island. Loved the quiet as well as the walks around the golf course. Temps were mild during our stay so did not need to use air condition too much. Ceiling fan was adequate for our comfort. Felt secure and noticed security personnel periodically checking our parking lot area. I would definitely stay here again.

Way too small for the price I paid . No draws for clothes. Was a walk up. Need to advertise 2nd floor ,mattress on floor. My 25 year old granddaughter slept on the floor for a week and was only 6 inches away from the bed, half of her slept in the closet !

We liked the area a lot. Clean, safe, not overcrowded like Waikiki, nice Turtle Bay Beach just 10 min walking distance (with the kids)
We liked the pool on the territory of the Kuilima Estates as well.
But please realize that despite the ordinance hours people fly in at different times. Arrive at the estates at different times of day and night since it's a bit of a hike from the Honolulu airport. So the commotion and euphoria of the new comers the first day or two might be annoying if they moved in just over your head and you are trying to sleep:) But we all have been there, right?
Another thing was a bit annoying: the metal screen doors to keep the bugs out were hard to close quietly so depending on when other people were leaving their condos or coming back it was too loud of a slam and as you are keeping the windows open and enjoying to fall as asleep just with the breeze instead of the AC, those metal doors were an annoyance. On the other hand if one needs the absolutely quiet time then they should book a separate house on the beach with no people around but that would be a different price;-)

Condo was in a great location and was well stocked with hiking and beach supplies. The hosts were very nice and helpful. The only reason for 4 stars is that it’s probably time to replace the bed. We could see that it was dipped in even before we got into it. Made for a couple of rough nights of sleep. Other than that, everything was perfect.

First time renting out a property and needed something close towards Turtle Bay Resort for a wedding. Came across this property and it was exactly what we needed for our 5 day stay! The property is located on Turtle Bay Resort Grounds with beautiful scenery of golf courses, the resort, and of course the beach all within walking distance of 10 minutes.
Room is absolutely perfect for 2 people (Could have up to 3 but it would be a tight fit). The host made it seemless to check in and we never had issues with anything in the room. Everything was clean, laid out, and we had all the information needed about our stay before we came. We felt very safe in the complex, with security around and having to use a fob to get into the estates.
I would also like to say that the host was one step ahead and had everything you could ever want. This includes towels, beach chairs, sunscreen, a hiking kit, plenty of charging outlets, mini fridge, Netflix, and so much more. Bed was super comfortable, you have a fan and AC unit. Did I mention it was also clean?
I would say this is a perfect alternative to actually staying at Turtle Bay without staying at the resort. Rooms are so expensive at the resort. Being on the property, we were within 10 minutes walking distance to experience it all everything the resort offered, including the beach, restaurants, and trails. Even if you did not want to walk, driving to the resort takes quite literally a minute and you can park in the guest parking.
This is the best place to stay for any travels in the North Shore. I would recommend having a car to experience the full North Shore experience, as ubering can get quite expensive and difficult to find after 7pm. We rented a car and were freely able to experience everything we wanted.
If you’re looking for a getaway to the North Shore, I would highly recommend this place. It has everything you need and lets you easily explore both sides of the island as you are in the middle of it. Be mindful everything closes earlier up there. A perfect vacation of relaxation that was wrapped up with a great, accomodating host and room. Can’t beat it!

This property was exactly what we needed for our stay near Turtle Bay. It's very small and is attached to an apartment in the unit, but is in a great location. We'd recommend it if you just need a place to sleep and plan to be out and about during the days. No real kitchen or cooking facilities, but there is a coffee machine and kettle. It's very close to the golf course, great beaches along the north shore, and Turtle Bay Resort, which has a handful of restaurants and a nice beach to hang out at.

This location and unit were perfect for our stay. It was nice to have the resort so close by and we got to enjoy the pool in the condo complex which was nice as well. The unit was clean and had all the comforts of home. It sits on a bus line so we didn’t rent a car, but instead rode the bus to get into Hailewea. Miss it all already!

Avoid the Honolulu crowds and traffic! Vera and Charlie are very attentive hosts and gracefully handled a couple minor things the went wrong (e.g. the Keurig broke so they swapped it out for a Nespresso machine).
The stay is easy walking distance to the Turtle Bay resort, beaches, and trails, and is a quick drive to Hale’iwa and Kahuku. Note that the selection of restaurants is relatively small and stores aren’t open late - it’s a quiet area (but that’s kinda the point of staying up here, isn’t it?).
The bed is clean and comfortable, and the room is tastefully decorated. Easy access in a safe, gated community. Would highly recommend!
