This condo was a great fit for our family of five as we visited Oahu. The beds in the loft worked for our kids, and the kitchen and living room area was a nice size. We appreciated the beach gear and the short walk across the parking lot to the pool. We used the condo as a base as we visited beaches and engaged in various activities. It’s also a short drive from grocery stores and food options. We would recommend this to other families visiting the north shore.

We had a great time. The condo was clean and had all of the amenities. It was great respite on Oahu’s North Shore. We were able to participate in several activities close to our location without the need to go into the city. We were able to soak in the beauty of the island, without it feeling touristy.

My family of six adults stayed a week and only wished there was a coffee cup for each of us (4 provided). Great breeze so never used the AC. Bring cotton sheets if you don’t like synthetic. Short walk to Turtle Bay Resort and quick drives to other snorkeling spots. Wonderful stay all around!

It was great for our needs. It was also well supplied, including beach gear.
The master bedroom bath were great and kept us cool at night w/just fans on. The loft got warm(a/c unit didn’t work), only fans.
We were out & about the north shore so didn’t spend a ton of time at the condo. It is a good 10 min walk to the beaches around Turtle Bay resort or you can park in their lot, lots of “beach access” parking. We spent more time at other beaches that were less crowded…personal preference. All in all, great location for us and the condo met our needs.

We loved the location next to Turtle Bay Resort! Past guests have left beach toys and laundry detergent. Make sure to wash the sand off your feet before entering.

This was a dream vacation to bring our kids to Hawaii. We never received the email from VRBO with the details for check in and the links in the app weren’t working. Once the property manager sent sent the sheet that should have come from VRBO it was easy to check in and access the property. We packed bases on having a washer and dryer so we didn’t have to bring as many clothes. The dryer was broken when we arrived but the property manager came out the next day and had it working. Then on our 4th day there was a power issue with the building that caused one AC unit and the dryer, hot water heater and stove to stop working. It was an issue on the power companies side of the breaker box and we were in the weekend so they weren’t going to come until Monday. Paul, the property manager worked hard to find us another place so we could have the comforts of AC and working appliances and we were able to move to another unit that night. The place we moved into was nice but had a couple of issues of its own. We preferred this unit had everything been working. We received a credit for our troubles. It was all very frustrating but it could’ve been a lot worse had we not had a great host to work with to help resolve the issues. It was unfortunate to have several things out of the properties control go wrong, but were happy with the response to make things right. All in all I would say one of the bests hosts we’ve encountered and would stay here again. You should book this unit.

Let say the pictures of condo were nicer than the condo itself. The sheets for the loft had pills on them. The kitchen was limited with supplies. The up stairs toilet would leak into master bedroom closet when flushed we had to put a bottle under it to catch the water. The love seat in the living room was uncomfortable felt like something was in the cushions. Another thing was you could not run the washer and dryer at the same time making it difficult to do the laundry. I would recommend they get a mat so when you get out of the master bedroom shower the water from the shower does not run on the floor due to the door opening outwards. There should also have window shades in the loft window so it isn’t bright there in the morning. Also the stairs outdoors are very slippery when they are wet. We felt for the money we paid it could of been nicer.

Paul was really helpful and answered the calls and any questions that I had. The check in process was a little strange you have to park on the street(no place to park) and run in to the unit which wasn’t properly labeled and then run back to the car parked in the street to get in the property. When leaving, we felt like we basically had to clean the place for them, including towels and sheets in the washer. There were notes about extra charge for excessive sand, how much so too much? We spent a lot of time at the beach and had kids. This wasn’t a huge deal but frustrating since we paid a lot in cleaning fees. Most places I have been too require you to leave dirty towels in a pile on floor and maybe the sheets off bed. Again, not a huge deal just a new experience for us. The app also crashed so we didn’t have that available to us and I had a hard time locating the email with these details.
Overall it’s in a great location for north shore, and being on the turtle bay resort it was nice walk to the beach, there were some chairs and toys for the kids to use at the beach, having the extra beds was really nice and the environment was comfortable with the AC and fans provided. Security was on site 24/7 so we always felt safe. Would we stay here again. Yes

The positives, the location was nice and a beautiful place to walk. The beds were comfortable
The things that we had difficulty with, Paul, although he would finally get back to me, It often took two times messaging. We asked specifically about lawn chairs, he did not know what was available at the property. (Manager should know his property)We stopped and bought $100 worth of lawn chairs, to our surprise there was multiple chairs, snorkel, equipment, and flutter boards. I finally did place a phone call to Paul to tell him that the shower in the master bedroom was not functioning properly. My sister was unable to lift the door to close it. The screen door continuously would fall off. There was a surfboard hung on the wall, It was filled with dust and dirt. I did make him aware of it and he said he would look after it. They did say that there is a map of the property which never came with our checking information. We had great difficulty finding the place at 10 o’clock at night . I messaged him two days before our arrival in the map was never provided. The instructions said one thing, and the sign on the door, said another. It was very difficult to tell if we were in the right spot.
The place was very dated old bathrooms Old kitchen, old carpets, running the stairs and in the bedrooms. I never felt I was clean in this place the entire time I was there. If you were an average traveler, looking for a clean, decent accommodation for the money that you spend, this would not be the place. Maybe my expectations were to high for Hawaii???? I feel the owner is getting amazing money for this accommodation and maybe he should start to put some of that back into his property! I wish I could submit some pictures with us review.

Loved the condo and the location. The owner was so nice to let us have a late check out. The only complaint was that we had to strip the beds and wash the sheets and towels. The condo was also not super clean. Carpets were pretty dirty, base boards were really dirty and all the mirrors were dirty. I feel like it was surface clean as long as you don't look too close. I would stay here again!

It would be nice to have some information in the condo for recommendations of where to shop, trail map, TV info, etc. (all of the other VRBO locations I have stayed have had this). Great rental for our little family. Everyone was comfortable, 3 air conditioners were nice, unit had everything we needed including beach towels and chairs. We bought and left 2 boogie boards for future guests. Also make sure you use the pool. It's nice and warm and a great way to relax at the end of the day.

The unit is very spacious, clean and well equipped. It is in a gated complex with security, pools and paths. Walking distance to Turtle bay, and numerous other trails to explore along the North coast. The bed is very comfy, the evenings quite and enjoyable. The North shore has it own personality that is totally different from Honolulu. Businesses have unique hours and the best restaurants are food trucks. Sunshine, beaches and surf can't be beat.

This was a lovely 2 week vacation! The condo provided us with everything we needed. The location is perfect - close to the pools and the tennis court with parking directly in front of our unit. There are marked trails close by for walking along the coast and for access to the many secluded little beaches. A car is a necessity for getting here from the airport, for getting groceries and for getting to the great little food trucks that are nearby. The entire North Shore is so peaceful and scenic compared to the Waikiki area! We highly recommend this property and would come back in a heartbeat!

It was a great visit, once again, to Kuilima estates condos. We’ve stayed at Kuilima many many times over the past 32 years.
It is the first time I had to walk from the gate to the condo to get the gate fob. BUT it was a very short walk. If you’re not familiar with the property, Paul provides a map that will really help. Otherwise, check-in was super easy.
The place was clean and comfortable. Normally my back is a little sore when I stay somewhere no matter how cozy the bed is but not this time. My husband and I stayed in the master room. Enjoyed the “Hawaiian’a surf” theme.
There are snorkels and chairs and a beach umbrella. Many other beach supplies. There are some beach towels too. Nice to have on site.
We’ll be back for sure. Mahalo nui for a great stay!

Peaceful location. This property has 3 beds but not 3 separate bedrooms. Actually has 2 bedrooms. A bed in one of the rooms and 2 beds in the other bedroom. So if your looking for 3 separate bedrooms this is not it. Otherwise very nice stay.

This home was exactly as described. Comfortable and clean. Couches and beds were great and perfect for party of 4. We felt at home. Beach chairs and gear available as well. Great location in safe gated community. On our initial walkthrough we noticed a crack in the upstairs window. We did message the owner but did not hear back from him during our stay regarding this. Fortunately there were no other issues. The community had a paving project happening 3 out of the 5 days we were there. This proved to be quite a challenge for all. We went to Oahu to have an ash scattering ceremony for my son at sea and spoke to the manager on site. She was a lovely lady who graciously found a spot for us to park in during those 3 days. Her name was Marlene and she was a godsend. She even had fresh flowers cut for us from the property to take with us on our ceremony. We will not forget her kindness. Overall a perfect stay on North Shore. Mahalo .

Really enjoyed our stay here. Everything was clean and didnt feel crowded. Had everything we needed. Beds are big and comfortable. Close to the beach, but even though its about a 10-15 minute walk we drove there and always found parking. We rented two cars and used the reserved parking space, needed a parking pass to be able to park the second car in the guest parking spaces.

Great property and close to all the North Shore fun. I loved being out of the hustle and bustle Id Waikiki. The property was just as the listing. I will add that the mold smell from the bathrooms, washer, and vacuum were a little powerful— not sure if it was the humidity but it was a little over powering.

Great, North Shore location. Close access to Beach. Enjoyed the swimming pools. Relatively spacious unit. The one glaring problem was there were cracks in the ceiling that ants were continually crawling through. The ants would congregate on the toilet paper in the bathroom for whatever reason and it was just kinda gross and not pleasant. There were other little bugs and stuff that wound up inside the unit and I believe they were all coming through the cracks in the ceiling of the loft. If the owner was to seal the cracks and make sure that insects didn't have a way to get in, it would be a big improvement.

Lovely stay in a beautiful location. The apartment had most if not everything one would need. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend. To be extremely nit picky, the brown bath towels could be replaced as well as living room couches.
