This condo was perfect for our family of 4. The place was very clean and exactly as pictured. All the necessities are there for cooking and laundry. We only slept on the beds (didn’t need sofa bed) and they were comfortable. The outdoor space was so cool to view both the ocean and the mountains! Check in was so smooth. A nice long text was sent with very detailed instructions on how to park, how to get to and into the room. And a text on check out day with timing and items to leave behind. This location is also blocks from Waikiki beach and the downtown walking area, it was so easy to get around both by car and on foot.

The Waikiki Banyan is in a good location. Two blocks from the beach. That is the best thing I can say about the rental. The first sign was cigarette butts which were screwn on the overesize lanai. The second sign was that as you walked towards the kitchen sink the smell of discarded cigarette ash became overpowering - this was obviously a smoking room and the description of the room did not mention this. There needs to be a door between the main bedroom and sole bathroom - there was not and this causes privacy issues THe bar holding the shower curtain kept collapsing and the towel bar inside the bathroom was poorly affixed and it also kept collapsing. There was a fantastic bidet but alas no instructions on how to use it. The noise in the hallway outside the room was sometimes very and annoying loud. Lastly, the parking spaces in the Banyan are very narrow - the last night we were there someone who had parked next to us had scraped the side of our rental causing paint and body damage leaving no note Getting into the parking lot often involved long lines and waits - the Banyan's parking lot doubles as a public lot causing delays, long wait, unafe lines extending out into the street. However, unlike other hotels and rentals in the area parking comes with the unit with no extra charges (the auto damange made up for that "fee free" parking). We would not stay here again and we caution those thinking of doing so to think twice before doing so.

I cannot give this stay a great review because we did have a an issue that was never resolved. Although the contract says that you can notify the rental property management or host at anytime I found this not to be the case.
The condo itself was PERFECT! Management was NOT!
I was there to celebrate my birthday with my best friend and my niece.
The property is very vulnerable as I never saw any security. Everyone and anyone has access to the complex which meant that we had a few unwanted visitors. People knocking on our door all hours of the day and night. One person tried to to get into our condo, claimed that the management property requested him to come and look inside our condo, we refused and told him to leave, which he did.
However this being said when I reached out to my host a couple times, Byron I never received a call back . I tried to call the emergency number and again never heard from them.
Therefore I cannot recommend this property management especially if you are planning a trip with just females'.

Unbeatable distance to the beach. Bathroom had a weird smell I won’t be missing, maybe mold where the mounding between the tub and floor are. Otherwise, I’d recommend this place.

Loved having the outdoor deck all to ourselves and the washer and dryer was a major plus!!! Beds and pull out were uncomfortable that would be my only complaint but other than that we had an amazing family vacation! Would stay here again!!! Byron was very fast at communicating!!

Maintenance, furniture quality and amenities were average. Because the room was on the 6th floor and there was a pool, I heard voices until night and the sound of children running in the corridor. I don't think it's suitable for people who want to spend quietly.

Unit was great for myself and my family! Same level as the pool which was super helpful with the kids. Enjoyed the bbq area one night and they were very easy to use. Byron was very informative and was quick to answer any questions we had. Washer and dryer in the unit made it easy to not have to return home with dirty laundry. We were familiar with the area from past holidays and feel it is the best area for us. We enjoy the convenience of shopping at Safeway, walking up to and around Diamond Head, wether for exercise or the Saturday morning market, beach and bus stop close by. A very walkable area.

Convenient location and clean overall. Room needs a dust pan. The smell in the restroom was horrible and paint was peeling off the restroom sliding doors. The tri-part sliding doors separating the bedroom to living area kept sliding off the tracks. No bean bags for the corn hole. We were disappointed but utilize the recreation area on our level. Having the washer and dryer in the room was a PLUS! Great customer service from Captain Hook Management team. Our rep was awesome by providing us with specific details that really made our check in process smooth.

This condo is one of the best locations for Oahu. Everything can be in walking distance. It also has everything one would need, we did not have to go buy household items (detergent, air freshener, toilet paper, trash bags, etc.). The patio is ginormous. Bathroom is small, but has a bidet! Byron was the best, he answered all my calls and was attentive. Will come again.

My family of 6 stayed there for 1 week. The property included a parking pass and a washer and dryer which made it very convenient for us. It did get hot in the unit at times. The AC unit is low to the ground. They had most of the things we needed to enjoy our vacation, rice cooker, boogie boards, beach tent and beach umbrella. Only thing I would suggest is adding full body size mirror and better sweeper and dustpan. Or provide a vacuum. The low to the ground dust pan made it hard to clean.

I highly recommend this property. The apartment is well maintained, clean and has a humungous balcony. It is also located on the sixth floor where the pool and other recreation facilities are. It is about a block from Waikiki beach so it is a short and easy walk. Parking was always available. We had a wonderful experience there!

We enjoyed our stay and the condo was the perfect size for a family of 6 traveling. The management for the property was very kind and helpful. My only dislike was the air conditioner. It is small and does not adequately cool the entire condo (especially if you are running the dryer). We discovered if you cracked the two doors it would pull air into the living room and make it comfortable during the daytime. So, if you are used to cooler temps. Otherwise, everything was great!

We enjoyed and definitely will return to Condo 612 Tower 1...however there are a couple things being updated will really make the place more desirable i.e. more towel racks in bathroom, a long dress mirror mounted on door or wall in the sleeping area, a new or better coffee pot...oh we love the Bidet!:-)

Extremely happy with our stay. We spent 6 nights. We were in Hawaii for the Hapalua 1/2 marathon and to celebrate my 50th birthday. 4 adults with two of them sleeping on the pull-out couch/bed. The unit was comfortable. The beds were comfortable. We actually kept the sliding door to the bedroom open so the air conditioner kept all areas of the unit cool. The location was fantastic!! We were about 3 minutes to the start line of the 1/2 marathon and 5 minutes from the finish line. We did rent a car and having the included parking space was awesome. We drove all over Honolulu exploring the island. We started calling the Banyan home, it was that comfortable. We walked up and down Waikiki (shops, restaurants, and beaches). We even walked to the Convention center to pick up our running bibs for the 1/2 marathon. One day the keypad said the battery was low. I called Byron to let him know and he let me know he was in the area and would come by. He was there within 10 min., put in new batteries, and was on his way. Super nice! We did not use the kitchen to cook but it was nice knowing if we did need to cook we could. The refrigerator was great for our restaurant leftovers and keeping water cold. The bathroom is tiny BUT it ended up not being a problem. The huge balcony was nice. Drank coffee and just enjoyed the beautiful weather and the view of waikiki beach. The unit is on the same level as the swimming pool and jacuzzi! That was nice. With the beach so close we did not use the pool. I will be back! My traveling companions also really enjoyed our time in Hawaii and the location of the unit. Thank you!

This rental is ideal for a family with its indoor and outdoor space. Unit was very clean, close to everything, and has a great private space for relaxing after spending the day in town and on the beach. Very accessible, parking garage is a plus. Check in process was smooth and property manager is very friendly and communicative. Would definitely recommend!

Overall my family of 4 enjoyed our stay. The place was clean, but size wise, smaller than expected. The location is great if you're trying to be closer to Waikiki beach, only a couple of streets down. Easy access to our room and very close to the community pool/playground, which my kids enjoyed. It was nice that they provided some beach equipment like foldable chairs, umbrellas, a body board and an insulated bag for beverages. Our room included a huge patio (lanai) which was the selling point for me, but in the end, we didn't utilize it at all except for drying our clothes. They could do so much with that space, so much potential. We did also notice that since the patio is on the 6th floor I was discovering people's personal belongings dropping on to our lanai (crayons, towels, cell phone mounts...etc) Overall, 4 out 5 stars, I'd book again.

For the most part our stay went well. We had everything we needed. The location was perfect. The beds were comfortable and the unit was a good size for our family. The property manager was great. He was easily accessible and addressed our needs when things came up. However, the unit itself was in need of some repairs. The towel bar in the bathroom was falling off, the sliding door to the patio did not slide smoothly and did not lock well. The door knob to the front door was loose which raised safety concerns. There were ants in the kitchen area and many of the dishes were not clean. It seemed like the previous visitors just rinsed the dishes and placed them back in the cabinets with grease on them. We had to wash the dishes before using them. The patio furniture was old and in poor condition and there was no patio umbrella unlike in the pictures online. This was disappointing as we looked forward to spending some time out there.

This property was in a great location, walking distance to the beach. Property manager was quick to respond but did not do much for the issues we had. The place was dirty and falling apart. Lots of damage and paint peeling off the walls. There was empty beer cans and cigarette butts all over the terrace which made the terrace unusable. They said they would send cleaners to take care of it but they never showed up. Very disappointed in our stay.

Check in was a breeze from start to finish. Condo was so super close to Waikiki strip, stores, restaurants, museum and zoo, we walked ALOT! We did have a rental car do thank God parking was free as long as you had your parking pass, which they provided (if you have guest or an extra car, parking is $27 a day) inside of condo was very clean and spacious, very nice kitchen even though we didn’t use it for cooking, only used microwave a couple times. Fully stocked with appliances, dishes, pots and pans, silverware. Air conditioning was very cold, but only in living room, we had to buy a fan from Walmart to keep cool at night in bedroom, 2 queen beds was very comfortable, lots of extra pillows, sheets, blankets and towels. Vanity and sink was separate from bathroom/shower. Bathroom was very tiny but we managed. The bathroom also had a bidet toilet (weird) but cool. Sliding door to patio was hard to open/close and lock. HUGE HUGE HUGE patio. Awesome and amazing views. Patio was not clean, all the flower pots just had dirt no plants. Patio furniture was old and flimsy, but it worked, just didn’t look like picture. Corn hole shown in picture was broken. People from above us “SOMEWHERE” no clue from where.... kept throwing stuff down on patio area (food, liquids, cigarette butts, lotion) my biggest issue was the tiny black ants EVERYWHERE! They were in the kitchen, the bathroom, the living room, on the walls, on the countertops, sometimes in the bed, in the closets.... but we just got used to them. They didn’t bite they was just a nuisance. We always made sure we covered our food up good or Ziploc bags or put them in the microwave so the ants didn’t get in them. I would definitely use this condo again in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo has been updated very nicely & was very neat & clean. It had everything we needed. The washer & dryer in the unit was a bonus. The location was perfect we were able to walk to the beach, get food, coffee, shop etc. Parking in the building was easy. It was nice to sit out in the large lanai and to have that outdoor space. We couldn't have asked for anything more.

This beautiful renovated rental was exactly what we needed to relax on our recent Honolulu trip! The lanai was perfect for early morning coffee and ocean viewing! We were only a short walk from the beach and shops. Having free parking was icing on the cake! The unit was comfortable and the building quiet! I loved being near the pool and bbq area. The coffee shop downstairs had dole Whip and it was fantastic! I would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

Great condo within walking distance to Waikiki beach. The condo was more than what we expected. We wish the stay would’ve been longer. Perfect size washer and dryer for our family also size of the condo. Only issue we had was people throwing stuff from above to the pool and sometimes the lanai. Comms with the check in and check out was easy and convenient. Staff were friendly, parking easy. Overall great experience and thanks for letting us check in early. Will most definitely be staying again.

Overall we were really happy with our stay. The location is great, the condo was clean, comfortable and well stocked. We appreciated the lanae which added space and the air-conditioning etc. Just as information for those looking to book, the parking garage has a very low clearance (we had to bring a towel to keep the rental van trunk from scraping on the ceiling each day). The bathroom is very narrow but the sink is outside of the bathroom so multiple people can be getting ready. We had a family of six so two people were using the pull out couch as a bed and it was extremely uncomfortable. I wouldn't count on using it as a bed for people (unless they are really little kids). The other beds were comfortable. The air conditioning is loud so if you are a light sleeper bring some ear plugs. It is close to the ocean. The check in process was easy.

Family of 6 - parents w/ 4 kids ages 12-20. Great, convenient location near beach, restaurants & shops. Nicely updated and furnished. We enjoyed the community pool area which is conveniently on the same floor, but since condo is on the opposite site of the building there was no issue with noise from the public areas. Great communication from property management when we had questions. Highly recommend and would return!!

Huge outdoor lanai space, full kitchen, (no dishwasher), washer/dryer in unit, 2 queen beds/1 sofa bed (very comfy). free parking. Can walk to beach, ABC stores, restaurants and shopping! This place is amazing! Byron was super nice and helpful.
