Great location away from the crowds of Waikiki, street parking was easy.

We stayed here mainly due to the proximity to the honolulu marathon. The unit is stripped to the bare minimum. There were four towels for the entirety of our 4 night-stay for 4 people. There were a few *critical* things (both tangible and conceptual) that were missing or lacking of. No toiletries were provided, and when I informed the host he did not apologize but rather said I should look harder as he is certain there is some in the bathroom. The inside of the unit did not appear to have been professionally cleaned. There were mold-like residue on the shower curtain. The exterior door is covered with grime. The blinds in the living room were not working and was left up, so we lacked privacy during our stay. I did alert the host about the issue, and again was told to try harder as he is certain it should be working. He eventually sent someone to look at it, and that person confirmed that it was indeed broken. No apologies from the host whatsoever. We decided not to pursue repairs as we are nearing the end of our trip, and did not want to be bothered with people going in and out of our space. TL;DR Unit was subpar and customer service. *Two stars at the most.*

Nice clean unit with full kitchen in the diamond head area with a 10 minute walk to the action in Waikiki. Stayed many times in this building due to its quiet nature and easy beach access and proximity to everything. It was easy dealing with the manager Mark and all instructions were clear and concise. Only recommendation would be an upgrade to a King sized bed to make the unit even better. Great spot though. Enjoy!

Location was great, kitchen was fully equipped. Was a bit disappointed that the area immediately outside unit was very narrow, pictures had looked like it was big enough to sit. Kept the windows open the whole time but none of the windows on the south side would open so to get a cross breeze had to keep front door open. Blinds were very heavy and wouldn’t raise up but we just adjusted to let air through. Lots of beach accessories in the closet. Overall had a great time while there.

In general the stay was fine, but for an elderly person, the shower was dangerous for me (slippery tub, no grab bars and poor lighting). Most importantly, you have a security issue: mid morning on Aug 31st, somebody opened the door (602) (I had my back towards the door) for a second and closed it. Apparently, someone has a pass key (housekeeping?) no knock. That was not a good experience, needless to say I was not dressed.

The location across the street from the park can’t be beat. Away from the hustle and bustle but only a short walk to Waikiki beaches. The condo was comfortable. A bit dated and the kitchen needed some organizing and a wipe down. Bath and bedroom were fine.

Very nice condo! We were more than happy within walking distance to beach and Waikiki restaurants and bars. It was a little cold the first few nights because of the weather so if you easily get cold bring warm blanket. Besides that everything was exceptional!!! Thank you we will be back again 😊

We really liked the location it was just far enough away from Waikiki to be away from the crowds but not too far to walk. If you’re using the bus it’s right next to a stop. If you have a car it’s easy to get on the road without waiting for traffic. They really go out of their way to make it feel like a home away from home.

Great location. Comfortable bed. Has everything you need. A washer/ dryer in unit would have been nice. No detergent for sale in the basement coin laundry. Well maintained but in need of renovation. Noisy window unit AC. Old windows and blinds that are difficult to open and close. Kitchen and bath cabinets and counters are from the 70’s at best. If you don’t spend much time inside this place is fine. Parking on the street worked fine. Spent a couple dollars on parking with a four night stay.

This VRBO unit is a nice place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. As you step out of this spacious unit you have an excellent view of Diamond Head, the extinct volcano. After a tiring flight and long wait for our luggage at Honolulu Airport, we arrived at our apartment complex on Kalakaua Ave. The first obstacle were the many lockboxes by the stairwell. We finally found our assigned number and obtained our key fob. Going into our unit was another obstacle as our assigned code to the door access didn't work. We called for assistance and the lock was reprogrammed and the situation was resolved quickly This unit is fairly quiet and spacious for two people. The air conditioners are outdated and probably need to be replaced. They quickly cool the apartment but are loud. If you're a light sleeper, that may be a concern. There is the occasional loud motorcycle and trash truck passing by, but the many unique birds singing in the morning also let us know they were nearby. Spectacular sunsets were easy to watch by going to the first floor and watching from the small beach access available to the complex residents. The unit has a powerful shower head, so much so that the shower curtain has a difficult time staying in place and blows with the wind created by the volume of water coming down. An adjustable flow shower head would be much appreciated. The kitchen is adequate for cooking simple meals but the pots and pans were stacked haphazardly, not at all stacked like the photo in the VRBO ad. One thing to be aware of, some of the dishware are NOT microwave safe! Additional kitchen towels would have been welcome as well. We only had one kitchen towel and had to use one of the bathroom hand towels. Overall, the unit was clean, but a little outdated. It was quiet, except for the air conditioners.

The Diamond Beach Hotel property was perfect for our short stay on Oahu. It was far enough away from the crowds at Waikiki and close enough to the beaches and hikes that interested us. Mark provided us with all the details we needed for an easy check in and stay. He was always quick to respond to any messages. The rooms were immaculate! The bed provided an extremely comfortable night’s sleep! The kitchen was fully equipped. The huge windows provided lots of light. We enjoyed evenings on the patio and grassy area above the ocean wall in the back of the hotel. We were able to park for free just across the street by a huge park. I would recommend staying at the Diamond Beach Holtel.

We’ve stayed on the Gold Coast before, so we know what a hidden gem that area is. There is a small private beach directly behind the unit, as well as our favorite beach, Kaimana Beach, about a 5 minute walk away. Street parking is usually easy to find (bring coins) and walking into the main part of Waikiki is only a 10-15 minute jaunt. The unit itself has a very comfortable bed, light remodel touches, and overall a good value. There are probably more luxuries options around, but they’ll be $100 more per night.

Walking distance to the strip in Waikiki. Every night we took a sunset walk along the ocean. It’s the perfect place that is inexpensive for a family of four or under. There’s a small kitchen where you can cook and save some money from eating out every night.

I loved our location. It’s close to kapiolani park and my favorite beach kaimana, which is very kid friendly. It was also walking distance to the newly renovated bar/hotel Hau Tree where we enjoyed way too many delicious cocktails.

I stayed at this property for two weeks in May 2021, and it was awesome! I was there on a business / research trip, and this was a great location for my stay (about 10 minutes from where I worked each day). Lots of active stuff to do nearby, whether it's beaches, the park, Diamond Head. There's some cool neighborhoods nearby and everything is close. I parked on the street the entire time I was there, and it generally worked well doing this (though arriving back here around 4:30-5:30pm I often had to circle the area until a parking spot opened... lots of people at the park and the beach on some days). Also, Shelly, the property manager, was super responsive to some questions I had that came up during my stay and was able to help me solve a problem that was impacting my research. If you're looking for a place close to Waikiki but a bit away from the crush of town, don't hesitate to stay here!
