My husband, son and his family travelled from the Northeast. 13 hours travel time. We were tired. We got to the condo and when we walked through the door….it made it all worth it. The views were spectacular! The condo was plenty big enough for four adults and two children. My six year old grandson loves the pool. Each day we saw multiple green turtles in the water and resting on our nice little beach. Everyone there was friendly and it was a nice quiet complex. It was a beautiful stay and would definitely stay there again. Food truck that are right down the street we’re great! If you don’t the geography of Maui, this complex is between Ka’anapali and Kapalua. Best area on Maui……in my opinion. Just got home and I miss my views already!

Perfect experience. The unit was great - very comfortable, tastefully appointed and the pictures don't do justice to the view. 2 min walk to a great beach with great snorkeling (including turtles!). We sat on the lanai also watched many whales. We were initial going to stay at the Westin Kaanapali resort and switch to this unit and couldn't have been happier that we did.

This condo was everything we were looking for on our trip to Maui!! We visited with another couple, and we all felt like we had plenty of room to spread out especially with a main floor balcony, and a balcony off of the master bedroom! The balcony furniture was great too! The location is perfect for accessing north Kaanapali Beach, and there is a grocery store and other shops nearby. We look forward to returning in the future!

Our family stayed at this property over Christmas. Overall it was absolutely lovely! We were able to enjoy watching whales from the balcony with our morning coffee (without exaggerating we probably saw 15-20 whales a day), and with a short walk (maybe 3 mins) to the beach downstairs- we were greeted with sea turtles almost every night.
Now for the unit itself:
- Parking is assigned so that makes it very convenient and you are never looking for a spot.
- The furniture is old and dated (like, really), but it works.
- The kitchen is lacking. There are more than enough dishes, pots/pans etc. But there are literally no spices. Not even those miniature $20 spice rolling racks. We have never been in a VRBO or an AirB&B that doesn't have anything (not even black pepper).
- The washer and dryer are very very old. Typically not a big deal, but we spent 10 days here so we really felt it.
- Washer/dryer soap/papers as well as dishwasher/dish soap were not provided (again, nothing we have ever experienced with another vacation rental). This as well as the the no spices just seems very cheap.
I will say that we had a few issues with the keys, the washer, the AC and it was easy to get a hold of management and someone came over right away, so that was great!
Overall the unit could definitely use some sprucing up, especially for this price. There are other units in this building/complex available to rent that are much nicer. But the location truly can't be beat! We have been to Maui several times before and have never experienced it like we did here.

We would stay here again! Check in was easy, location is great. Condo was very clean. Very quiet. Everyone was very friendly. Beach is small, but great view. Loved seeing the sea turtles come up on the beach. Pool is very clean and grounds very well kept.

Great view, steps away from a little beach to get into the ocean. Lots of turtles swimming. The place was spacious for a group of 3 adults 2 kids. Full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, full laundry. Beds were comfortable. Downside I would say is the pool isn’t very big, this was on behalf of the kids, although we did spend alot of time in the ocean instead. The house needed better cleaning, the fan in kitchen was covered in layers of stuck on dust. The laundry wasn’t in the cleanest state but usable for swim suits and towels. Overall I enjoyed the location and view.

We loved our stay in this condo! It was very clean and had everything we needed. There was plenty of room for our family of four and the views from the balconies were beyond outstanding! We watched sea turtles swim by daily. We loved how quiet the property was (not a fan of high rises) and it's proximity to so many wonderful hiking trails, restaurants, coffee shops, etc. Huge sea turtles came on shore several times during our stay and we just loved the small beach just steps from our door. Without a doubt, we would stay there again!

We walked in and were immediately pleased. It was clean, well cared for, and the VIEWS!!! It was so much nicer than the pics give it credit for. The kitchen is super nice, and well stocked. They didn’t go super cheap with everything inside the home as many rental properties do. I also didn’t realize that the master also had a balcony, so that was a great surprise! Location was close to lots and not far from downtown Lahaina or Whalers Village! We will definitely be back!

This rental was simply heaven. The sunsets, turtles, spaces and most of all the views were simply amazing. Rolling over in the comfy master bad every morning to be woken up by the view of the ocean was everything I could have dreamed for and more! Loved this condo for our family (2 boys, ages 7 & 10). Check in and check out was a breeze, and the condo was supplied with all the basics we needed for the week. The pool and the beach were a hit with my boys. We found our stay nice and quiet. We saw whales, turtles and a monk seal sunbathing on the beach, and could watch the sunset from the balcony. Would definitely return!

Our first trip to Maui and it did not disappoint! Lokelani Condominiums is perfectly suited for those who want a smaller complex with amazing views. We could see many whales and turtles from our balcony or down on the beach. The condo itself was perfectly suited for 3 of us and we have no complaints at all. Excellent response if we had a question. The condo and complex were clean and well-maintained. Great location for going up to Kapalua or down to Lahaina. We miss gathering at the seawall to watch the sunsets and watching the whales in the distance. Thanks to all who made it possible!

We absolutely loved our condo. It was a very spacious and beautiful 2 bedroom unit. Everything that you could possibly need was right there. Most important was the view! Amazing! The complex wasn't impressive from the outside, but once we got into the unit we loved it. It's RIGHT on the water. Wonderful lanai off the living room and another off the upstairs master bedroom. From our balcony watched turtles swimming and sunning on the nice little beach next door. Lots of space for my me, my wife and two college age daughters to spread out. A little quieter than staying in Kaanapali which might be good or bad depending on what you're looking for. We used to stay in big resorts with fancy pools, but at this point in our lives this quieter complex was ideal.

The property is well suited in the Lahainia area. The condo complex is very clean. The condo itself was clean but carpets showed some age. Just be aware that both bathrooms are shared with one being on upper floor and one on the lower The beds were comfortable and everything we needed was right there. We have stayed in this condo several times over the years and we love it but there are a lot of things that are now getting pretty rundown1) upstairs bedroom slider handle is broken2) neither upstairs slider locks3) front glass door handle falls off...needs set screw tightened4) recliner chair in front room broken on the right side5) small thing but first floor shower overhead light burned out6) tv is not a smart tv so can’t access Netflix or Amazon (unless I just couldn’t figure it out)7) downstairs sliders don’t lock...wood board helps but things should work for the price we payWith that said we love the lokelani which is why we come here every year and sometimes twice a year for the past 20 years. Just might select a different unit next time Mahalo

The picture in the listing hardly did the views justice. While this is one unit in a multi unit complex surrounded by multi unit complexes, when inside or out on the lanai you feel like you are all by yourself right at the edge of the beautiful sea.
The views of the water and sunsets were absolutely amazing. The little beach next door, while small and not suitable for laying out etc. while we were there, was a great launch point for swims and snorkeling adventures - we even saw a turtle come up on the beach our last day in town for a quick sunbathe. You're just a hop skip and a jump from lots of other beautiful beaches where you can surf, bodyboard, lay out etc.
The unit is great - kitchen is serviceable, and the W/D in the unit is super convenient (if a bit loud). Wifi was great for the few work Zooms we couldn't avoid, and the AC keeps the place super comfortable.
The complex itself is quite mellow; quiet hours seemed to be observed by everyone, and the grounds etc. were tidy. We love this spot and area - all the Maui fun you could want, with great food and grocery shopping close by, without the feeling of being inundated by crowds.
We loved our stay and will be back! Special shout out to the management who went above and beyond to rescue our daughter's beloved stuffed animal who we somehow left behind and arrange to send it to us back on the mainland. Mahalo!

Check in was a breeze, got to the condo and key was in lockbox on the front door. The unit was clean, spacious, and cool (a/c on). Stocked up with food from costco for the week. Condo was equipped with pretty much any kitchen stuff you would need including a regular coffee pot as well as single serve Kuerig. Views from both Lanai’s were breathtaking and we watched beautiful sunsets every day. We were in a two bedroom which is located on the second on third floors ( one bedroom units on ground floor ) and utilized the lawn chairs on the grassy area multiple times. The beach was small, but during low tide you could set up an umbrella and chairs if you wanted. ( we preferred grassy area ) The snorkeling in front of the Lokelani Condos was fantastic and saw several turtle as well as a school of manta rays and of course tons of fish. Even though we did go on a few excursions, we would have been perfectly content staying on property. All in all, we would highly recommend this vrbo!!!

Originally, we had planned to come to Maui in March, 2020, rescheduled to November due to COVID and again to June, 2021. Third time was the charm and Lokelani did not disappoint! We had a fantastic stay at this condo. As other reviewers noted, the views are truly spectacular! The beach was steps away- just be mindful of the tides as the steps to and from the beach can be inaccessible in a high tide. The snorkeling was really nice too. We saw plenty of fish and sea turtles, and even a few turtles laying out on the sand! Overall the condo itself was really nice - fully stocked kitchen, AC in all the rooms, comfortable beds in the bedrooms, and plenty of amenities throughout. We had a some issues with the latches on the balcony doors, but the property was very responsive to address- thanks, Herb! 2 suggestions to consider in the future. The first to upgrade the washing machine. The current one is extremely loud. And the 2nd to upgrade the sofa bed or mattress, as it was not very comfortable. Would highly recommend this condo and the property to others. We referred some family members and they booked the next door condo (B-202) for a stay later this summer. I am positive they will be just as happy as we were! Thank you

The view was unbelievable and a/c worked well in west setting sun. The view made up for the condo deficiencies. The kitchen was great and had what we needed. Unfortunately, the pillows were terrible. The polyester stuffing was so old inside that it was lumpy and the master sheets were cheap and scratchy. The towels were thin and worn. The carpet was old. In addition, we did not have any beach supplies like chairs or umbrella. Our friends stayed in another unit 6 doors down and had all of this supplied for them which was helpful. These few extra touches would make a complete luxurious stay.

All the lokelani units have breathtaking views. You are RIGHT on the ocean looking over at Molekai and Lanai, what’s not to love? This unit is a two bedroom with an **extra**lanai upstairs off the main bedroom- so (if you are the adults) you are sleeping right on the ocean. Divine, magical, breathtaking, unreal. Beds are all super comfortable. Most everything is highly functional. Great dishes and has everything you need. Could use a coffee maker upgrade (they do have a keurig) and better pillows (they were huge!) but these things are hardly deterrents. I’d go back to the same unit tomorrow if I could. Great place to be in pandemic- you are entering your unit from outside, never really run in to too many people and have the amazing private beach that is usually your own. Turtles, humpbacks, dolphins, rainbows, storms in winter, all of it beautiful. Thank you so much for such an incredible respite from this COVID nightmare. Thank you! And thank you to Liz, who runs the place, she is amazing.
