This is an older property, but well maintained. It has a very close beach access. We had a view of the courtyard, pool & Picnic area. It appeared that the row of ocean front condos were not being used. We were told that there was erosion issues that were trying to be resolved.
The check in process was seamless and the staff friendly. The bathroom was quite small, which we knew in advance. Overall, a very enjoyable experience.

If you’ve never been to Maui know this place is pretty far North. It’s perfect for two but I wouldn’t want to stay with more than that as it’s fairly small. There is NO view of the ocean however the property is having issues with erosion so that may change. Parts of the property were sectioned off and not usable. The condo was pretty well stocked. The bed was not comfortable and neither were the pillows but to be fair we’re fairly picky about firmness. Nice touches are chairs for the beach and a little cooler to use. The little bay is awesome and full of turtles. Finding the unit is confusing because there are two 5 units. This one is ocean side. The ding for cleanliness is mostly because of dust and corners.

This was our third stay at the Kahana Sunset and our first time in E5E. This one bedroom unit was large, clean and had all the comforts of home. The smart TV has all the apps you need to stream movies and shows. The king size bed was very comfortable. The kitchen has all the utensils needed to make homemade meals every night. This unit is just a short walk to the little beach and pool. You can hear the waves crashing at night while you sleep. Also, the grounds are impeccable and on a calm day, the little bay is great for swimming and snorkeling with the turtles. Don't forget to check out the little herb garden for your culinary creations!

The condo was very nice with an updated kitchen & bath, the grounds are beautiful and very well cared for, and the beach is beautiful! The walls are a bit thin unfortunately and we were awake at 515am one morning with little ones running around and jumping in the condo above us so we'll definitely look for an upper level next time. Our refrigerator did take a couple days to cool down so we had to throw away some food we were concerned about eating, the Alexa did not work despite attempts to unplug/plug in, reset, etc., and we really hoped it would have been stocked with some board games and toys (frisbee, football, etc) for us to enjoy during our stay since those are things that cannot be easily packed for a flight. Beyond equipping the condo with more activities and being in a different unit with a better view, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return to the location!

The condo was mostly updated but still had a few dated items. The balcony unfortunately is not private and is open to anyone walking past in the same space to other condos. There's only a very small peekaboo view of the ocean out one corner of the condo and no real ocean view unfortunately

Fantastic location. Quiet area also to get away, but very close to all the major spots as well. Very clean and well kept place. The dishwasher was not useable when we arrived, but that would be the only issue at all. This was a fantastic trip and very memorable.

The condo was clean. But it does need a clean on things like baseboards in the bathrooms and around the condo. A top to bottom needs to be done at least once or twice a year.
