Overall, one of the nicest and most convenient places we have stayed away from home. Condo has everything you need for preparing meals with fully stocked kitchen and grills by the pool. Comfortable beds. Great location right on the beach with amazing view from balcony. Owners closet has everything you need to enjoy the beach. You will not be disappointed.

We loved staying here. Perfect location and a great beach spot and so conveniently located next to all the restaurants and stores. We especially appreciated our specific unit; between the awesome lanai, great views, comfortable beds and fully stocked owners closet with Beach and snorkeling gear, we really couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Doug has just about everything you would need. We used the couch pull-out bed and roll-away bed. Both were great for sleeping. Everything was clean. The washer and dryer were a godsend. Aloha!

We really enjoyed our week at the Whalers. Loved the view. There was always lots of the comings and going’s with catamarans taking groups out for tours. There were parasailing boats as well. We found there was plenty of delicious restaurants within walking distance when we didn’t want to cook. We thought the kitchen in the condo had everything we needed and we appreciated the little personal touches of bathroom toiletries, tissues, laundry detergent & softener, plus dishwasher soap and Dawn. There were also plenty of hand soap dispensers. Having our own washer/dryer was a plus. We didn’t use the beach equipment but it was well stocked. We had a fun, relaxing week!!! Thank you!

The condo was spacious and very well appointed. It was beautifully decorated and fully equipped with everything we needed for a wonderful Maui vacation. We enjoyed the view of the ocean from the balcony, even spotting whales in the distance now and then. The condo is in a very good location. The beach is great for walks, either on the sand or on the paved walkway. Next door to the condo building is a shopping center with great shops and restaurants. Doug’s instructions were so helpful, not just for the condo information, but also for helping us plan our stay. Overall, it was the perfect place to stay.

My husband and I have stayed all along the Kaanapali beach area. We found Doug’s Whaler condo to be the best. It is well stocked, comfortable bed and a great location.

The condo was in a perfect location (on the beach and next door to whaler’s village) and has wonderful amenities. The condo was spacious and has a large lanai with a great view of the ocean. I would highly recommend staying here and I hope to be back soon!

It has everything. Attentive owner. Gorgeous ocean view. Comfy beds. Adjacent to Whaler’s Village. Short walk to snorkeling at Black Rock and surfing near Marriott. I could go on and on. I’ll be back.

The Whaler condo is located in the best location on Kaanapali! The condo itself is very modern, exceptionally clean and well-stocked (for example, ziplock bags, snorkeling gear for kids and adults, lawn chairs, floaties). The beds, including sofa sleeper were very comfortable. We watched the sunset on the lanai (that extends the entire length of condo, and has separate slider from main bedroom), we walked next door to Whalers Village multiple times a day, and enjoyed the pool, and hot tub, and beach outside our front door, daily. Perfect condo for family, as it is really spacious.
We will stay here again! Thank you for an unforgettable vacation!!!

The location is fantastic and easy to get to, and the condo provides a great array of beach gear that is very handy to have. We had everything we needed for the stay and enjoyed both the pool and the beach, as well as the ease of access to the next door shopping/eating center. The owner was extremely accommodating when we asked to set up a late checkout, going far out of his way to arrange something comfortable for an elderly parent. His help was very much appreciated.

My family and I loved this condo. I've been to Maui at least 13 times and this is the nicest condo I've ever stayed in. We used every bed and even the fold out couch and I slept on that and it felt like heaven. All the decor was high-end and everything was stocked very well. There was even a closet with flotation devices and other toys board games and an umbrella. I'm definitely going to save this condo for future visits to Maui.

This unit was terrific. Very clean and just as described, I wish I could live here. The condo is exceptionally well stocked with absolutely everything we needed. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in a VRBO with a better stocked kitchen. The Whaler is in the best possible location, central to everything and literally steps from Whalers Village. The front desk staff and all employees at the Whaler were very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. We’ll definitely stay here again!

Doug was fantastic to work with, always quickly responded to our questions. The condo was perfect. We are a family of 4 and our kids are getting too big to share a bed so having both the pull out couch and roll away bed was perfect for us, as well as having 2 bathrooms. The condo is fully stocked with pretty much everything you would need. Doug even allows the use of his owners closet so you have beach chairs, umbrella’s, boogie boards, sand toys, etc. The Whaler provides beach towels daily. The staff at the Whaler was great as well, friendly and helpful. The location is great right next to Whaler’s village plenty of restaurants and shopping. We would highly recommend this condo and already have to family and friends.

This was our family's first visit to Hawaii and it was wonderful. The location of the condo is perfect. Its right on the beach and next to a nice shopping center with several really good restaurants. We spent quite a bit of time on the lanai which had a great view of the beach. The condo is really nice as are the building and grounds. It had everything we needed for our trip.

This was our first extended stay in Maui in years. This was also our first experience with VRBO. The unit we stayed in was spacious & came well equipped with everything we needed. The ocean view off the large balcony was gorgeous. The owner, Doug, gave us complete & extensive information. He was also very responsive.
The Whaler condo complex is next to shops, restaurants, and an ABC store. It is just a couple of miles from Old Town Lahaina. The staff is efficient & friendly, & the grounds are well kept. The pool is very small, but the beach is very clean & uncrowded. We will be back!

This has been the best vacation rental hands down! Everything was perfect and Doug had everything you can think of. The beach locker room was also a plus since we did not have to rent or purchase any beach gear. Location!!! Cleanliness!! We did not want to leave. What an amazing location and property! We stayed with 3 kids and had plenty of room. The owners locker and cupboards had everything we needed to enjoy the beach and home cooking. Staying at this property is fantastic - as always the view never disappoints & a beautiful condo. The Whaler’s location can’t be beat with the convenience of Whaler’s village next door with the beach & golf courses steps from the door. Doug treats his guests like family allowing access to his owners locker (beach chairs & boogie boards etc…) and communicates clearly regarding everything associated with your stay. Great property owner & great property - highly recommend!

You cannot beat the location - right on Kaanapali beach, steps away from Black Rock for snorkeling, and Whalers Village for restaurants and shopping. Our family of five had a fantastic time here. The condo was perfect . Accommodations were excellent - and communications from Doug made the logistics of the trip seamless. We would definitely come back!

This is by far the nicest, most well equipped condo we have rented at The Whaler. Lots of storage access most owners don't allow access to... chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, floaties, tennis rackets + more! Plus the room is updated, appliances are new, and the bed is very comfy. Owner is easy to work with...We will definitely rent this unit again!

We just completed a 8 nt stay at this condo and couldn’t be happier. The unit had everything you could imagine ever needing and plenty of space for a family of 4. Slept great every night. The amenities of the hotel were really top notch as well. The owners locker with all the beach necessities was awesome. The hotel supplies towels, chairs and had impeccable service. Will be back! I have rented #557 for two weeks for the past two years. This condo is immaculate, updated and absolutely gorgeous. The kitchen is fabulous. The bed is comfortable and I love the walkin shower in the master bath. Located just an elevator ride down to the beach, you could not ask for a better location. Doug is very good to work with and I especially appreciate the discount he gives to returning guests. I am eagerly planning my next trip to Maui in 11 months!
