Fantastic experience all around. Ground level end unit with nice privacy. Chris was a great host. He went the extra mile by telling us what grocery stores and restaurants would be open when we arrived on Christmas Eve.
The Cliffs is our family's favorite of 6 places we've stayed on the island. Ocean views, nice grounds and tons of activities for free (pool, basket ball, pickle ball, shuffle board, etc.).
Highly recommend this resort and Chris.

Great spot with an Ocean view off the Lanai. The concierge was super helpful, and the start very comfortable. Something to keep in mind is that the Cliffs has bikes, and there are a number of beaches that are easily bike-able. Nice to use a car as little as possible on vacation :)

Overall stay missed on a few levels. Nice area and view is outstanding, but you'll be able to find that everywhere on the island. This is part of a big "complex" and if looking to utilize the grills, there are only 2 "stations", so you'll probably be standing in line waiting to use the grill. Biggest issue was what I guess needs to be chalked up to a dated facility. The last night our smoke detector started "chirping" at 11:15 PM. It was in the corner ceiling of a lofted 2-story bedroom so no way to access it without some sort of ladder. It basically led to a sleepless night as we searched for a way to find some escape from the noise. When addressing it on checkout I was given the "oh so sorry" line, you should have called security. Probably a very unique situation, but still odd that smoke detector batteries aren't regularly changed/tested. Just very difficult to endorse the property as their solution to not delivering a night of sleep was a verbal apology. They just fell short of expectations for the cost. Probably better areas on the island to explore with more reliability in the lodging.

Our family loved this unit at The Cliffs! The view from the third floor and the balcony overlooked the water, and we had prime spots for watching sunrises, sunsets and multiple rainbows as rain clouds formed over the ocean. The unit was renovated just before our arrival, and is well appointed. A few things needed to be hooked up like the ice maker and washer, but the staff at the front desk arranged for these to be fixed on our first full day while we were on the beach. Will definitely keep this unit, owner and location on our priority list for future vacations to Kauai!
