My wife and I had a memorable time in Maui. This condo was perfect for us. It was very clean and comfortable and had a magnificent view of the ocean. We would definitely stay here again.

Papakea is a beautiful property extremely well maintained, in a great location, amazingly clean and the staff is very helpful! Unit L103 not so much! The photos as shown in the Vrbo listing is not the furniture that is in the unit. Everything is very old the rug was extremely dirty and the furniture dressers carpet all smelled very dirty and musty! We will absolutely go back to Papakea, but not unit L103 until it gets a makeover. We have stayed in a few other units that have been beautiful and clean!

My husband and I enjoyed our three nights in this unit. The proximity to restaurants and beach paths was a plus. There was plenty of room for just two of us and the layout of the condo was great. We especially enjoyed walking out the slider to our patio and the grass area overlooking the Pacific. Check in and checkout were easy.
There was a little confusion on WiFi; check the fridge for the password. And the two TVs were on different systems and took some figuring out. But those were minor issues.

Primary selling points of this unit are the view and proximity to the water. What’s the point of going of vacationing on an island if you don’t stay oceanfront?

Nice condo with ground floor Lanai only steps from the water. Grounds and amenities are well maintained. Great view of the Maui Sunset.

The location was great, just steps away from the ocean. The resort grounds were very well kept. The pool is a great alternative to going to the beach. The unit was very clean and offered most basic comforts of a home. Would stay there again.

What an amazing view! The unit open right onto the ocean. My partner and I had an absolutely wonderful stay and enjoyed watching sunsets and sipping coffee on the patio by the waves. Very clean unit in a nice resort.

Our stay here at l103 at the Resort for our group was amazing. My grandson 10 years old it could not have been any better, and my son was able to go to Kapalua Golf Course and golf and it was very close by.

The property is wonderful location with a sand beach out the back door. Grounds are very beautiful with flowering plants. Just walking distance for morning coffee. Has a nice pool and nice tennis courts. Only issue was air conditioning unit was weak hard to keep the unit cool during the day.

This property was perfect for cooking, enjoying take-out or taking in local restaurants. The view from the Lanai is one of the best on the property. Watching the water crash into the sea wall while drinking morning coffee was fantastic!

First time staying on this side of the island. Condo was great. Lots of activists surrounding the property. Surfing, off roading, zip lining, golf…. Pool was great for BBQing and relaxing. Staff was very nice and helpful

Papakea is not a new property but it is excellently maintained. The grounds are lovely with waterfalls, flowering lily pads and koi fish. Even a putting green. We loved our first floor unit. The ocean view was stunning!

I did some research before booking this property, we wanted bottom floor, ocean front and 2 bedroom, and there is not a lot of options out there. The resort grounds are well kept, the unit is dated but clean, and the location was walkable to a ton of food options and the grocery store.
This unit is oceanfront but not beach front, which was fine for us. There is a beach at the neighbor hotels, but we drove to the beaches we wanted to visit. The hotel next door which is literally like a 1 min walk has good food all day, a good happy hour and entertainment most nights by the pool.
The pools at Papakea were clean , warm and we never had to worry about getting a place to sit. I think the best part was the parking, we could park near our room, so it was easy getting loaded in and out with our crew.
We would definitely stay here again, I didn't want to leave.

Exceeded our expectations. I don’t think we will stay anywhere else besides this condo when we visit in the future! Literally on the beach. Condo came with all the stuff you’d need for a day at the beach! Truly amazing stay. The pool and hot tub were so much fun for the kids! Had a problem with the toilet and they had someone there within an hour to fix it. FIVE STARS!

We loved staying here! Miranda was very responsive, and the property was absolutely beautiful. The bedrooms were a bit toasty due to the AC being in the living room only, but this was explained in the listing and we were prepared for this. They cooled down slightly at night by leaving the doors open while sleeping. We took our 18 month old twins with us, and loved having the grass area to play every day! The views were stunning right from our porch, and beach access was literally right next door. Can’t beat that! Our immediate neighbors at the resort (in our building) were so extremely welcoming and loved watching the kids play around on the grass and chase all the birds. We definitely got the vibe at the pool area that the many long term guests/residents here were not too thrilled with having kiddos around (mainly at the pool area though). We loved being within walking distance to Cruzin Cafe for delicious coffees in the morning, and having the convenience of the ABC Store hand grocery store right by us to pick up groceries here and there as needed. We would stay here again in a heartbeat, and hope to in the future as well!

Perfect location, Direct view of the ocean, a few yards to the water, the property is clean and well spaced with Pool, Jacuzzi, very nice BBQ's (clean), Shuffleboard, putting greens. The complex is a bit old but this unit has some updates that make it comfortable (including AC). Kitchen is functional and well equipped. really enjoyed our stay here, would seek out this unit again.

This was our first time to Maui and this place was perfect! You can not beat the view of the ocean, you have your own beach and a pool! Places are in walking distance or a short drive. We had to rebook this trip 3 times and Miranda was super easy to work with. When we come back we will definitely be staying here again.

The location and right on the water was perfect. The unit needs a major upgrade. The bathroom has cracks in the wall, the facet that turns the water on in the bathtub fell off in my hands. TV cable was horrible. Very old and outdated. We were disappointed in our stay there.

This condo was really great. The ocean front view from the ground floor lanai was absolutely the best way to be in Maui. We enjoyed our coffee and meals on the lanai every day. The sunset was right there in front of you every night. It was a sight that brought everyone out on the lawn. We had a 5 yr and he loved being able to play on the grass out back. The condo was stocked with boogie board, sand toys, chairs and umbrella and coolers for the beach. The beach is also just steps away from the back patio. We also thought the location was perfect. Close to everything in Kaanapali including just a short walk through the Kaanapali Beach Club resort to get to the beach walk path. The beach walk is beach front and takes you past all the other resorts which have some restaurants and a market on some days. It is also very close to Lahaina and all that town has to offer. Napili Bay was also a short drive. There is a good grocery store and ABC within walking distance as well. On the down side though the condo could use some updates and the twin bed made horrible squeaking so none of my kids could sleep on it. Even the slightest move squeaked and kept them awake so we ended up having our little one sleep on the floor. Hopefully they can replace that bed soon. But the view and location trumped any down sides and overall we were very happy with this place and would definitely want to stay here again.
