While not on the beach, it was within minutes of Poipu Shops, Beach, and the quaint old town of Koloa.
We loved hanging out on the lanai, and having access to a huge kitchen. Very much appreciated the access to beach chairs, towels, boards, and snorkel gear!!

Had a great time in this quite little apartment. The AC in the bedroom worked great and cooled very fast. We loved the garage parking for our convertible. all the beach accessories that were supplied are an amazing touch. We spent many many morning and evenings out in the Lanai and often fell asleep out there relaxing. Perfect place to stay for a couples getaway!

We LOVED staying at this property. We weren't sure about it when we arrived, since it is a garage apartment in a residential neighborhood, but our fears were soon put to rest. The apartment is huge, spotless, and comfortable. It is a mile from Poipu Beach, one of the best beaches on Kauai. The AC in the bedroom is FANTASTIC. Our other rental on Kauai did not have AC, which apparently is very common, and the heat often interrupted our sleep at night. Here we slept like babies! They even provide towels, chairs, and boogie boards for beach use!
It might not be the right spot for someone who likes to stay up late and be loud (since it is residential) but it was absolutely perfect for us!

Our stay at Poipu Beach Estates was nothing short of incredible! Not only was the property itself absolutely stunning but it was also located in the perfect quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The property was extremely spacious and had every amenity you could ever need! The property was also conveniently located next to restaurants and beaches! Would recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in Poipu and will definitely be returning soon!

This is a well kept and well equipped apartment in an affluent neighbourhood. There is a large bright area adjacent to the kitchenette that can accommodate many guests indoors and on the deck (we appreciated this since other family members from a nearby resort could drop in for a visit). Nice big bedroom with AC and spacious bathroom. Because it's too long a walk to the beach for us, we required car rental - but 20 minute walking might work for others. The hosts thoughtfully provide beach chairs and boogie boards for guest use. The agent was responsive. All in all a very satisfactory rental, we'd do it again.

We loved our stay! The neighborhood was quiet and in a great location. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was spacious. We appreciated all of the beach gear! Our only suggestions would be new pillows in the bedroom - one was pretty flat. And there wasn’t much space to put clothes - a dresser would have been nice. We would definitely book here again! What a wonderful place to stay! It’s got a well appointed kitchen, a lanai for enjoying outdoor breakfasts and dinners, and plenty of beach paraphernalia. The linens are first class. We could walk to the beach, to restaurants, and to shopping. The only thing we needed was more spoons!! Definitely a place to return to.

We stayed at this property in May 2022 and returned again in November/December for another two week stay. The neighborhood is very quiet and the nearby homes are well kept. Also, the home is very walkable to Poipu Beach, eating establishments and the farmers market at the nearby shopping center. The home is well appointed, very clean, and private for those seeking quiet and solitude. We cooked many meals at the home and the kitchen is well stocked. In fact, there has been considerable thought given to this home in that there are extra sheets, bath towels, beach towels, and an assortment of beach toys, coolers, fins and masks, and beach chairs and umbrellas. Stephanie quickly responds to text messages and obviously cares about providing a great experience to her guests. We hope to rent from Stephanie and Patrick on our future returns to the island.

This place is absolutely perfect, pictures don't do it justice! It is impeccably clean, spacious, beautifully decorated and situated in a gorgeous neighborhood within walking distance of restaurants and the beach. It was well-equipped, has a private deck, comfortable bed and my wife says the most amazing hair dryer she has ever used. The single-car garage and private entrance was very convenient. We arrived after dark and the garage was open and lit for us, with the lights on in the apartment as well - a very nice welcome. Stephanie, the property manager, was great to deal with and went above and beyond to return some items we left behind. If you're considering this property at all, book it now and thank yourself later. I can't recommend this property enough!

This is our 2nd year in a row staying at this property. Its perfect for my wife and I and very close to the beaches and restaurants that we really enjoy. There was some construction happening across the street, but we were gone so much it didnt really bother us. If you were planning on staying at the house a bunch during the day, this could be a problem. Straightforward check in. Excellent property for two with washer/dryer, comfortable bed, spacious bath, and well set up kitchen. It is actually better than the pictures make it out to be. A few quirks, but not deal breakers: the lighting is a little odd with some lights working and others flickering, additionally there’s a lot of construction going on across the street at the moment.

The rental was nice, clean and bright. The bed was uncomfortable for both of us and got worse as the trip progressed. The neighborhood was very nice but multiple construction projects are ongoing just next door. This definitely created an atmosphere that was less relaxing than it could’ve been. The listing pictures show empty lots adjacent to the property so this was a surprise to us.

This home had everything we needed for our vacation. We loved the convenience of having a washer/dryer as well as a parking space. Having pots and pans were useful for breakfast. We never cooked any other meals because we ate out all the time. It was lovely getting to enjoy your space for our 5th Anniversary. Having the chairs/ umbrella and the cooler came in handy for sure. The sun is very hot in Kauai so siting under the umbrella was key for me when I’m at the beach all day. The neighborhood was mostly quiet except at night when the neighbors we out at their pool which faces the Ohana. U can hear them clearly from the lanai or even inside. The construction across the street was very quiet. I barely noticed them and was gone mostly all the time during the daytime. I’d love to stay here again when I come back to Kauai.

After a two night stay at the Pacific Naval Missile Base, we checked in at this property for a twelve night stay. Diane allowed us to check in early which was very nice of her. The neighborhood is very upscale and great for early morning walks to the beach and surrounding areas. The apartment is very comfortable and nicely decorated with an open floor plan and windows galore. The kitchen is fully stocked and we utilized the BBQ many nights. The apartment has been thoughtfully furnished for travelers and we plan to return for another visit. We have stayed at many VRBO/HomeAway properties over the years and this was one of the finest.

My husband and I booked a three-night stay here when we visited Poipu for a friend’s wedding. Most of the wedding guests stayed the full week at Koloa Landing Resort across the street, but we decided to do our own thing for a few days. The property was extremely clean and quiet and had everything we needed and more. I loved sitting out on the lanai every morning with a book and a cup of coffee. We did not rent a car and were able to walk to two different shopping centers, as well as the beach. We loved that the property provided beach chairs and beach towels. Would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to visit the south shore of Kauai (though renting a car would be advisable)!

Beautiful & amazing, inside and out and all-around. Definitely exceeded our expectations. This apartment is well suited for great views and tropical breezes. It's like a home away from home, with all the necessities that you don't really need to leave other than for groceries and having fun exploring the area beaches, landmarks, waterfalls, amazing hiking, and the epic "doors off" helicopter tour. Many nice local eateries nearby that satisfied our everyday whims: açaí bowls, poke bowls, fresh seafood, malasadas, cream puffs, fresh tropical fruits, brick oven pizza, plate lunches, etc. Beaches that were perfect for those body surfing/boogie boarding & kite surfing adrenaline junkies, and the nice calm & relaxing beaches for floaters. The ONLY complaint is the traffic ... however, if you plan well ahead, and just take in the sights and the nice breezy drives, then you're gonna be alright. And after you experience the full day of fun in the sun, head back to this charming apartment and enjoy drinks and/or snacks on the lanai. AND the landscaping of the place is to die for. Will definitely come back to this gem when we make a return visit to Kauai.

No complaints about the property. First time on Kauai and the apartment was close to a Longs, Starbucks, and big save market. Also close to Poipu beach. Took one star off for location because now that we are familiar with the island, would have probably preferred to stay somewhere more centrally located so that it is easier to get to the North side of the island. However, this location was the sunnier side of the island and is closer to the west which tends to be drier so if you are trying to avoid rain then that is something to keep in mind. Diane was very communicative and quick to respond to our questions and concerns, she went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. Overall I would highly recommend this property to anyone thinking of visiting Kauai… thank you for allowing us to stay

First thing to know: the photos on the vrbo site make this unit look smaller than it is. (The opposite of what often happens.) It is a very large space for two people. It is comfortable, with a beautiful lanai out front. We spent a couple mornings just sitting out there, rather than going off to find another place to hang.
The host was really quick replying to a couple of simple questions I had, both before and during our stay.
Bottom line: I wished I owned this place. Could not have been better.

The stand alone accommodations are very centrally located in the heart of the Poipu neighborhood. Located in a very quiet location, a couple minutes to all that Poipu has to offer. This is a high end property in an upscale neighborhood. The place is all windows - or so it seems, and is above the garage. Open floor plan, well stocked kitchen, large TV in bedroom, great lanai, comfortable sitting, nice shower, everything you need for the beach. You can walk through the upscale neighborhood, or walk to the shopping center by Longs. You will need to drive to the beach, especially if hauling your toys. We wish it had a King bed, but we adjusted to that. BBQ on lanai is nice touch. Very private. Would stay here again.

We are "on the go" guest. We don't need to be entertained by host or swim in the pool. Check-in was easy. This place was exactly as described. The space was wonderful. Only minutes from the beach. I was drawn to this property by the location, photos, description and reviews but it exceeded expectations. Yes, it is in a newly developed neighborhood and currently there is some close structure construction. Any (limited) noise is during weekdays and why would you be in the house when one of the world’s most beautiful places is less than 5 minutes away? If you’re looking for a quiet, home-like place to stay, you won’t find a better one! If you want a resort with distractions, things to do and other people outside your door, there are plenty other choices. This is where you go to get away from those things 😊

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful upscale apartment in Poipu. The apartment sits atop the entirety of the 3 car detached garage adjacent to the property owners home (one of the garages is available for guests of the apartment). The patio faces out onto a very quiet street. The listing pictures are representative, with the only difference from the photos shown online is there are two homes across the street that are well on their way to being built. The air conditioning unit only cools the bedroom but once you close the bedroom doors it quickly cools the room. The rest of the apartment is quite comfortable as the outdoor air circulates through the apartment. We cooked fresh fish on the gas grill each night and really enjoyed the patio. This is certainly a different feel than staying at a resort along the beach, but it is much more tranquil. The kitchen is well stocked to prepare meals, and the bathroom is very nice. We found the bed to be on the soft end of the spectrum (everyone has their own mattress preference) but it is starting to show its age - the middle of the queen memory foam mattress is firmer than the tired edges. This location served as our ‘home base’ as we toured everything south and west of Lihue, and it worked great for us. We stayed 6 nights but wish we could have stayed a week longer.

I made a quick decision to get away and visit my Ohana on Kauai who I had not seen in 1 1/2 yrs. I have been to Kauai 15+ times and normally rent a home close to Poipu beach. This was a shorter than normal vacation and this home was perfect. Diana was very responsive and accommodating to any needs I had. The home is in a nice neighborhood and very quiet in the evenings and mornings. No early wake up calls here from roosters like it is closer to Poipu Beach!! So wonderful to have a garage as well. Lovely breeze with the trade winds sitting on the Lanai! I was alone at night until my Ohana joined me and I felt very safe. Many great places to walk/run and very accessible to anything you need!!Well equipped and well managed home. Highly recommend this location.

We loved the property. It felt private and was so airy and nice with all the windows. The lanai was wonderful, as was the grill. No roosters planted near the property while we there so no 4 am wake up calls! There are two houses under construction nearby, but we didn’t see any trucks arrive until 8 or 8:30 am so also wasn’t an issue. The space was full of supplies needed for the kitchen, as well as stuff for the beach. 100% we would stay here again.

This is the ideal place for a young couple or a small family. The property is located in a beautiful area of koloa southern Kauai with access to beaches and fun activities.
It is on a second floor so be aware that you will need to carry luggage and any shopping items to the second floor.
The actual rental is in a neighborhood much like a high end suburb. The reason the later description is relevant because you will here loud construction of homes in different stages of building, noisy land mowers throughout the day and neighborhood kids skate boarding or playing basket ball. If any of that is an issue, this is not the place for you.
But it would be if you are a young couple out sight seeing most of the day and there to rest or make dinner or for a small family there is only one bedroom but it has a futon with a child.
A family with a child would also feel like home away from home.

Great property in a great location. And very comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. We also enjoyed using the beach gear. Easy to get to many beaches and explore the island from the apartment. Wished we could have stayed longer and look forward to coming again.
