Our lovely second floor studio unit now provides A/C. We've installed a high-velocity ceiling fan that seems to do the trick when AC isn't needed! The covered lanai has a view of the mountains and lush tropical plantings. Free, limited, unassigned parking spaces are included with your rental, so try to arrive early to secure a spot.

Our studio is decorated with furniture in the Hawaiian and Asian whimsical style including a lovely rooster who doesn’t crow and wake you in the middle of the night! You’ll find a bistro table and chairs, if you’d like to eat on the lanai. We offer you a comfortable King size bed with fresh, crisp linens.

We provide Spectrum cable and internet and an LG TV for relaxing after your days of exploring, shopping or enjoying the many beautiful beaches. The TV is mounted on the wall at the foot of the bed. We provide dedicated wireless internet, along with 2 large power strips to charge your various electronics.

The studio has a private bathroom with a roomy shower. The vanity area is separate from the bathroom. The deep, stainless sink also serves as a dishwashing station. Provided drainers and supplies are under the sink.

Relax on the private covered lanai you will discover a pull down, semi-transparent shade to filter the afternoon sun. You'll find a roomy rocking chair as well, with a second in the studio.

Sandpiper Village is nestled on several acres of paradise in Princeville. The complex has a large enclosed swimming pool area with a communal hot tub. Plenty adjustable loungers are available for your comfort and convenience. You also are encouraged to barbecue in this area using the two Weber gas barbecue grills and provided utensils. Sandpiper Village is close to the Princeville Shopping Center and restaurants, jogging path and the lovely Makai Golf Course and tennis courts. Miles of beautiful beaches at Hanalei, Haena, Anini and many more locations are only a short drive away!

I am just a 5 minute drive away in the event you need my help.

Local independent, streaming Community Radio station, 90.9 KKCR, plays Hawaiian music overnight and often during the day. There's a great variety of talk shows and "DJ choice" music programming beginning at 7am. Listen to it online when you return home!

DON'T FORGET to return parking pass and pool key to hooks on the wall. Door keys should be on the wall and in the lock box to avoid $50 replacement EACH! We don't want your last reminder of Kaua'i to be a notice from Vrbo that you are being charged!!

You have to know that it is only one room with balcony. If you would never cook on your one it might be ok but preparing meals is almost impossible (not real cooking gear,no space, washing dishes etc in the sink of toilet/bathroom).nice pool and jacuzzi. Helpful owners.

We were very happy here and enjoyed the quiet neighborhood as well as the easy access to Hanalea and beaches. Very nicely decorated place!

This was our first ever trip to Kauai, so when booking it’s tricky to try to visualise what your vacation stay will look like. Princeville is a lovely, wealthy, tidy village and this condo was lovely, ideally located for Hanalei Bay as it’s just a few minutes drive down the hill. Shame you can’t walk to it but there are plenty of other places to hike and walk around. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and had everything you would need - the beach chairs were fab! I would say in the message about checking in, the notes say apartment 1, but it's marked as B, so until we scrolled & saw the wifi code which contains the B we were a bit flummoxed! We also had a note from the Princeville committee on our car on the final morning, despite being in an unnumbered spot as instructed. If you’ve seen the film Hot Fuzz, for Sandpiper read Sandford and you will get it!

Great place in beautiful Princeville! Had all the amenities you could ask for and was a central location near Hanalei. We had an excellent time and this place was the cherry on top. Thank you!

Owner is a very friendly and helpful person. As I was on my own I had everything I needed available. I felt save and secure. If there are any problems they will be solved immediately. I enjoyed my stay and can recommend it very well.

Our 18’year old daughter and I left the boys home, first time. Many times to this slice of Heaven. Last time the whole family, this sweet getaway was just us. Marilyn was fantastic with her responsiveness! We couldn’t have asked for a better vacation. Mahalo, Terrymarie and Maggie

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 9 nights and it was a great spot for resting in between adventuring around the island. The location was great for us, the condo provided everything we needed, and the AC was so nice to come home to for an afternoon nap. Mahalo for accommodating us!

This was an amazing experience. The room was clean, we didn't actually need to contact the agent for anything but when we did have a non-room-related question we had an answer immediately. The room was very well stocked with snorkel gear, boogie boards, extra blankets (it was a little chilly at night in January), and even a blender and real cutlery/dishes. A perfect experience!

The place was very clean and everything was as described by Marilyn, who was very attentive to my requests and demonstrating a genuine commitment for the guest to have a problem-free stay. I would recommend Marilyn and this place anytime.

We really enjoyed our time in Princeville at this VRBO - the room was comfortable and clean, the host had provided boogie boards, beach chairs, and snorkeling gear, and there is a hot tub/pool with a grilling area that we loved since the kitchen is otherwise very small. It made for an absolutely wonderful stay!

This was an awesome place for my girlfriend and I. Everything was very clean when we got there and we loved hanging outside on the balcony in the morning and evening. The place had all the supplies we needed to prepare breakfast and lunches for our hikes. The shower was very nice. Had a bit of trouble finding the unit since the unit numbers are a bit small and confusing at first, but after that everything was a breeze.

Everything looked like on photos. The studio was clean and equipped with everything described in the listing. The only thing worried us was parking, as there is no designated parking spot for this particular apartment. But it turned our there were enough unassigned spaces on the parking lot, we parked near the house every evening. We stayed there in November, not sure how tight the parking is in summer though.

This was a great location to stay if you love the north shore and good price. Was just enough space for two people, I would not recommend any more people staying. Was a little different then the photos, but overall good! Bed was comfy and the fans helped a lot at night time. The only thing was there was only one roll of toilet paper so we ended up running out our second to last day. Other then that, would reccomend!

My partner and I stayed at this condo for 5 nights and enjoyed it a lot. It was very clean and in a good location. It’s only a 10min drive to Hanalei and around 5min to Queensbath and the Sealodge beach parking. There is a coffee machine and a little cooking pot which was enough for us to prepare breakfast and cook dinner a few times. The provided snorkeling gear was great as well, we used it every day. Check-in and out worked flawlessly. We would definitely stay here again!

Well-located for exploring Kauai, lovely setting, good neighbors. My only complaint is that cooking anything is quite awkward -but the apartment is very comfortable, and Marilyn the property manager is friendly and helpful.

If you aren’t enamored with big hotel hallways and cookie cutter rooms, this unit has the comforts of a mini condo in one room plus lanai. The compound overall was loud on occasion but a 10pm Quiet Hour Curfew is enforced. The full sized fridge is a riot, and the lanai screen needs WD40, but I was perfectly content to be in Princeville for a fair price. Thank you!

Marilyn was the perfect host and her unit was exactly what my sister and I hoped it would be! She literally thought of everything you could possibly need for your stay on the island. We were very grateful to have a full size fridge and beautiful lanai to sip our morning coffees. Marilyn was also extremely kind to allow us a later check out. Thank you again Marilyn for a lovely stay!

Our room was the perfect get away room. Although it qas cleaned the day after arrival.

We had a great, brief stay at Marilyn's studio. Breakfast on the Lanai, comfortable bed, super-clean accommodations, reliable wifi, clean and quiet shared pool and hot tub a stone's throw away, this was an affordable yet lovely launching pad to lots of area joys. We took a surf lesson in Hanalei, went snorkeling at Anini Beach, and so much more. You'll have a great time too! The only way the experience could have been better is if there were a few more ingredients for those who choose to cook in or even have coffee/tea at home: some olive oil, sugar packets, etc.

We have stayed in this studio in the past, we absolutely love it, very clean and comfortable with a great kitchenette! All you need when your outdoors adventuring all day! Great location! We will be back for sure!

Marilyn was very prompt with all of my question emails, replying within 24 hours or so. However, when I emailed her the day before check-in explaining that something significant had come up and my husband and I were not going to make it to the property, I got no response, and still have not after 11 days. I wasn't expecting any money back, though I asked, but it just would have been nice to have had the email acknowledged, especially when I know she was very prompt with other emails. I know that notifying a day prior would not have been enough time for another tenant, and I understand not receiving any refund wholeheartedly, I just expected some form of acknowledgment of my emails. Hopefully our ducks will get in a row and we will be able to stay at the property before we PCS off of Oahu

We loved staying here. We were on a tight budget, but were still able to have a wonderful Kawaii vacation due to getting such a good deal on where we stayed. The second level lanai was a great place to eat meals and just sit and read. The pool and hot tub were just steps away and having scuba gear that we could use saved us money and time. Princeville is a great location with a well-equipped grocery store and a short drive to Hanalei Bay. Staying in a residential area was nice too as we took several morning walks around the neighbourhood. The room was clean and the bed was good and we loved the vaulted ceilings. No air conditioning was tricky for taking a mid-afternoon nap, but we knew that in advance and spent most of our afternoons outside or driving somewhere in our air conditioned rental car (Alamo had a great deal for us). Night sleeping was fine with 3 fans and the screen door on the lanai which we opened occasionally. The proximity to shopping, a great church (Calvary Chapel North Shore) and doctors (cut my feet on some coral when surfing on south shore) were also pluses and we ended up taking advantage of all three! This whole island is amazing, but we were glad that our first visit was on the north shore because it had the most jungly/tropical feel which we enjoyed coming from the arid midwest. Our first time booking with VRBO and we found it pretty strait forward and easy to do. Will definitely do it again.

Nice apartment in a condo. It is comfortable enough for two people. The terrace is great and nicely extends the apartment. The unit has another adjacent apartment on the same floor. Please note that a) there are no washing machine and laundry facilities in the vicinity; and 2) the apartment does not have a reserved parking space - after 8-9 pm it gets a bit tricky. We have not interacted with the owner or Marylin (who represents the owner). Communication with Marilyn was prompt and efficient. All the instructions, guidelines and contract were sent via email. Recommendation to the unit owner/manager: the arrangements and the amount of instructions seemed a bit complicated for a simple room rental, but I guess it is needed as everything is arranged remotely. I would however recommend changing the wifi name - it is a bit pushy. All in all, we had a nice, comfortable stay. This apartment is a good value for its price given the location and its good condition.

There's practically nothing you can complain about for the price you pay. Nice big bed, a fridge/freezer combo, utensils, everything you will need. It has a nice cooling system inside if necessary. The only gripe I had was the neighbors in the area. People who live permanently in the complex clearly do not like visitors renting out a room. I parked temporarily to unload my vehicle and grab a permit and proceed to the proper spot (unfortunately there isn't an assigned spot, and visitor spots are usually taken, its kinda like street side parking with the permit). And a neighbor came home and said "Oh heyyy you're in blahblahblah's spot. She's about to come home and she's gonna park behind you and have you towed even if you are here." I ask her if she knows where I should park at since I haven't even gotten in the room yet. "That's not her problem if you don't know where to park." Talk about a major jerkface? But I guess I should thank her since she told me before the person came home and got me towed... Knives in the room could use a sharpening, had a harder time cutting up a pineapple but not a big deal. Has a cutting board in the place too. All the kitchenware stuff is outdoors in the covered lanai (which is awesome). All in all, highly recommended and a good place to stay at. Just park in the right area right away!

We were booked to stay here this coming weekend. Our daughter became ill with a rare blood diease and cannot travel. They allowed us to cancel just 3 days before arrival. We are so appreciative and will make a point of trying to book with them when we reschedule our visit. Mahalo!!!

We loved this place! It was clean, and located near really great beaches and hikes (the main things we were interested in while in Kauai). The room had everything we needed, not extra, which was fine with us. We never investigated the pool situation, but we are sure it would be great too. If we return we would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We traveled to Kauai for an extended Labor Day weekend. We wanted something basic/affordable because we knew we would be out exploring most of our stay. The condo was spacious, clean, well stocked, furnished, and decorated at an affordable rate. It exceeded our expectations, so we were very happy with our choice to stay here. The condo has everything you need. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, shampoo, body wash, towels, wash cloths, hair dryer, sunscreen and bug spray. We bought bug spray not knowing the condo already had some, but we left it for future guests. You WILL need it! The lanai is roomy with a dining set and kitchenette. There is a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and kitchen/dining essentials. In the closet you'll find beach towels, mats, bags, chairs, coolers, 2 sets of snorkel gear, ironing equipment, laundry basket and more. It was nice to have everything we needed and more. The king sized bed was very comfortable! The wifi was reliable and fast! We enjoyed having the TV to watch in bed after a long active day. The condo does not have AC. Most of the homes in Hawaii don't. We're used to this and the condo was totally comfortable for us. There is a ceiling fan and two additional floor fans that kept it breezy and cool at night with the lanai door and jalousie windows open. The fans are quiet and didn't disturb our sleep at all. The lanai door locked fine for us, so disregard the one negative review. Princeville is an excellent area of the North side of the island. The shopping center with grocery store and restaurants right down the road is very convenient. Check out Hideaways Beach in Princeville! It's one of the nicest beaches in Hawaii and probably in the world! It's a bit of a hike to get to, but definitely worth it and close. Look it up online for instructions on how to get there and bring the snorkel gear! Things to note: 1) the parking pass was missing when we arrived and Marilyn had to create a temporary one and bring it to us. Please remember to put the pass back in the condo to prevent this! 2) Read the checkout list in advance. We thought it was a little silly that we paid a cleaning fee, but were expected to prepare the linens and take out the trash, but also tip the maid. Not a big deal, just kind of funny. :) We were all over the island exploring and doing things during our stay and this condo was the perfect "home" to return to at the end of the day. Staying in this condo met our needs at a fraction of the cost of a hotel!
