We arrived on Sunday before the 80 mph winds & the Lahaina Fire, so we were only able to reside at the condo for 2 days. The resort was relaxing, many things were easily within driving distance. The host was outstanding in discussing with us how we could possibly get our luggage back to our home in Illinois if we were unable to retrieve it before we left, discussed several alternatives. We were able to get to our luggage on Friday. The host was great handling this emergency, hopefully it won't happen again.

Loved our stay! Would definitely come back! We’re family of 8, with 6 adults and 2 kids (12 & 14). The kitchen/living room area is a bit cozy. While pictures make it look bigger than it is, it was still adequate space – we weren’t in the condo much. AMAZING ocean and sunset views from the balcony!!! Relaxing for coffee, reading, meals and cocktails! Kitchen was well stocked with spices, cooking utensil and pots/pans. Appreciated the nice touch of having bodywash in all the bathrooms. Numerous beach necessities: chairs, umbrellas, towels, everything you could need!!! Gorgeous grounds!! And the area is quite. A 5-15 minute walk south has you at a number of beaches. Really enjoyed the lounge chairs at the sea wall, wonderful to enjoy the view and have a break from sand! Condo is a short walk away from the grocery store and a number of restaurants. Christine was quick to respond and wonderful to work with! Highly recommend!!!

Perfect for large Family. We had 9. Couldn't keep kids out of the pool. Consdo well stocked and 3 full baths always good when Grandpa and Grandma don't have to share.

We all enjoyed staying at this property! It is very well managed and the condo has a lot to offer. Along with stunning views, there was an ample space for 3 families (9 total) to enjoy the time together.
Christine was great and she communicated well. I would recommend this to all my friends and families who are looking forward to make good memories in Maui!

The unit is nicely organized and designed. Our family of seven adults had a very comfortable stay and ample space for everyone. We appreciate all the kitchen amenities including the available spices present in the cupboard. The beds are quite comfortable. Beach toys are also available which we’ve used especially snorkeling at Honolua Bay.
We would definitely stay here again! The sunrise and sunset views in the balcony are priceless!!!

My husband and I and our 30 thirty something kids plus their spouses (so 8 people total) stayed here for a week in May-it was perfection. Christine answered every one of my questions promptly and completely-also gave helpful advice re restaurants.
The grounds are beautiful-large stocked Koi ponds, tropical landscaping, beachfront, plenty of colorful birds and a small cat colony that we had fun spotting the sunsets!!!
Amenities were also great-we enjoyed a hotly contested shuffleboard tourney, playing tennis and walking along the tidepool, reef wall at low tide. Also enjoyed the Mai Tain happy hour:)
The condo itself was wonderful-it was beyond convenient to have 6 beach chairs and plenty of beach towels provided. There were also two coolers we made use of The kitchen was very well stocked with lots of spices and seasonings. Beds were comfy and showers were luxurious.

The condo is spacious, clean, and beautiful. It has spices and beach gears for us to use. Awesome view from the lanai and the beach. Tons of activities nearby. We (3 couples) loved the weather, the location, and the accessibility to different activities nearby.
Lahaina-15 minutes away (the busy town with restaurants, markets, and excursions)
Kaanapali beach-5-10 minutes
Kihei-45 minutes
Haleakala National Park-1.5hour
Wailea-around an hour
Airport-around 45 minutes

We can't thank Christine enough for her kindness and dedication to her guests. We would love to return to this unit soon!

What a great place and wonderful amenities. The two pools were great and having beach towels and snorkel gear was key. Sunsets were unbelievable. I would suggest shopping at Costco when you land at airport or Safeway grocery store.

Last year, my husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary here and found ourselves homesick. So we booked this stay, last year, for our whole family and it was totally worth it. Perfect space for a family of six. Beds were so comfy. Great amount of beach stuff. Will definitely try to book again :)

This was my second time renting this property. Clean, comfortable, great view, easy check in/out, front desk staff knowledgeable, property manager accessible and attentive. The track on the sliding door was slightly off and she came right away to fix it. Nice amount of space in unit. I’m already thinking of another visit.

All the appliances are good and you have all the kitchen tools that you need. The home would need a fresh paint coat and replace some floor tiles. Thats why I gave it a 4 on 5. With a few coat it would get a 5.

Resort was quiet and peaceful, which we enjoyed. The lanai has a stunning view towards Molokai across the water. Enough bed space for 8 plus 2 more on sofa bed. AC units in all sleeping areas plus loads of different electric fans. Well equipped kitchen. Walking distance to supermarket, pizza place, shaved ice, live music bar. Other thoughtful touches like picnic cooler, beach toys for kids, boogie boards and extra beach towels are all there. Resort has its own activities, 2 pools, tennis court, etc. Easy check-in and check-out. 5 stars from me for the host, the unit, the resort and everything about this stay.

We were a group of 8 ranging in age from 11-75. We were in Hawaii celebrating our mom's 75th birthday, my sister's 50th birthday, and my niece's HS graduation. Our time on Maui was spectacular and this condo provided the perfect amount of space and comfort for our group. The view from the patio was beautiful and a perfect spot for our morning coffee. The pools and beach access were excellent. The host was very communicative and responded quickly to any messages. The location was perfect as well. I would definitely stay here again if I ever found myself back on Maui!

This is the 2nd time I’ve stayed at Papakea. Overall a good experience with this specific unit. There was hair on the bathroom floor when we arrived and the toaster wouldn’t work. But the owner of the unit responded immediately when we reached out to notify her. We did see 2 large roaches. Not sure if that’s common here on the island or if it was an issue with this specific unit. The view is beautiful!

The house had everything you should need while on vacation from chairs & beach towels to body wash in the shower when you get back from beach. Kitchen had great supplies - dishes, silverware, cookware, spices and condiments. Great location - would definitely recommend to others and come back here abothet time.

We had a wonderful stay. Was great to have the boogy boards, beach chairs, beach towels all provided. Nice selection of spices, so no need to shop for those things. Had two one year old's with us so rented an additional pack-n-play, highchair and added a gate for stairs. I would say the gate is a necessity if children are staying as the stairs are fairly steep, risers are open at back, and railing gap is quite large. Christine was highly responsive to any questions we had. There is a great beach (no waves) and park for little ones, just a short walk away. Plenty of dining options within walking distance.

First thank you so much for the use of your cozy and comforting home for our stay here on the island. It worked out perfectly for our family and we are so appreciative of the extra mile you went with all of the amenities as well as the extended check out.
All of the bathroom liens have been washed, dried, folded and returned to their spots with the exception of a couple currently in the dryer with all of the bedding we used. Which has been washed and just finishing the dryer cycle.
We wiped down the bathrooms and kitchen with Clorox (exception maybe the bathroom sink off the front door, daughter was in there last).
Really should just need a quick mop/vacuum, bed liens returned and should be all ready to go.
Again we thank you for your hospitality. We have many great memories we will take with us including gathering several times as a larger family to join in meals together while overlooking the ocean.
We are checked out and headed back to the cold.

We love staying at this property. I stayed here with my husband, my mother who is 78 years old, and my two daughters who are 19 and 21. It was just the perfect amount of room for us and we were so happy that my mother did not have to walk up stairs to get to her room and bathroom. It was well equipped with everything we needed. The location of the condo is central to many activities and cool beaches. The view from the condo was amazing! We would stay here again.

This place is huge and so comfortable. Although we stayed with a family of 4, this cond could accomate a much large group. The views from the porch during the day and at night (stars) is magical.
The complex is clean and there is plenty to do for all ages.

We, 5 adults, stayed in this condo and had plenty of space. I believe this condo sleeps 8. You have all the comforts of home, but you are in paradise! All the beach chairs, towels, etc. are provided for your enjoyment. The view from the balcony is breathtaking and is where we had coffee and breakfast every morning. The landscaping at the resort is so beautiful. We also liked the location of the condo which is appx. 8 min. drive to downtown Lahaina. Also, 2 blocks from the entrance of the resort is the food truck plaza -- delicious! A grocery store is 1 block away. Dealing with the property manager, Christina, was a delight. You will be so happy that you stayed at this resort! We look forward to returning and making more wonderful memories!

Perfect for a family and friends. We spent the last two weeks of summer at the condo. The resort is wonderful. We had for teens staying in the loft. They had plenty of room and I appreciated that they had their own bathroom. The location of the condo is perfect. The kids could walk to the food carts, ice cream, coffee shop etc. We also loved the size of the kitchen as two of us could fit in there at the same time. Very unusual for a condo! My family and I would definitely stay here again. The view from the lanai was absolutely gorgeous. My family and I love all the amenities in the room from beach chairs to coolers. All of these items came in handy. I have no complaints, except for the master bedroom shower door often got off track, but it could have been user error.
