Overall, loved the property and the condo. Great price. Great location. One problem - we were there during a Heat wave: daily temperatures were 85-90 degrees. No big deal usually - I’m from a place which it gets to 100 over summer regularly. But for the condo - there is an air conditioning unit that must be run at all hours during the heat (unless you want the indoors to be over 80 degrees) BUT the AC unit is on the balcony and it blasts out extremely hot air making the entire balcony un-usable - a shame! We booked the place for the great balcony and the view, among other things. If we came back in November, it would probably be a non issue and we would stay here then. But given the Lahaina Kaanapali area runs hotter these summers compared to 10 years ago, we couldn’t stay here again over the summer.

Excellent location but the condo needs some updating.
The table on the Lanai was very rusty and pieces of rust falling off of it. Some of the furniture in the living room needs updating.

We had a great stay. The view was great and the location was too. Everyone was easy to work with and took care of everything promptly, leaving no questions about how things would work. Overall, wonderful experience with the family and many memories to keep!

Lovely view. Really enjoyed having the putting greens, pickle ball and shuffleboard. Friendly atmosphere. Parking was super easy. Glad we booked a smaller complex that was compact and convenient for everywhere. The people at reception were helpful and friendly. The grounds were cleaned every morning.

The location at Papakea is great considering that it’s on the water and has multiple food options including a grocery store within walking distance. This unit is in a good location within the complex as the patio as a very nice ocean view and is above one of two pool and putting green areas.facing north avoids the afternoon sun on the deck however it is exposed to the trade winds so leaving papers or other light objects leave them subject to blowing off the table.the patio
Is a little tight, however it’s fine for 2 people.
The unit itself was comfortable for us in terms of size. It could really use a deep cleaning and some minor touch ups to fresh it but we would stay here again.
We used the poolside grills twice. There are six fairly new Weber grills at each pool and they are very popular from 5-7. We did see the property staff cleaning them every morning a part of the poolside maintenance. The property is very nice and well kept.
Reservation process was a bit cumbersome as the management company required us to print, sign and email back forms as opposed to online signature but they were pleasant to deal with.

The Ocean View is the star of the show. The condo with a full kitchen and a very comfortable bed was a nice place to relax. We found snorkeling right in the area to be enjoyable and it is easy to venture out to several beaches in the area. The pool, shuffleboard and putting greens are nice options for activities. It was great to see multigenerational groups enjoying time together. The arrangement of the buildings while allowing every unit to have an Ocean View also amplifies the noise of all the activities. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the down side is the noise of lawn machines.

Excellent location, fantastic ocean view, 2 pools and plenty of BBQ stations, pickleball courts, and a great resort. We walked the beach, saw whales and turtles, and enjoyed drinks and music and close-by restaurants. The condo was satisfactory, the bed comfortable, though some aspects could use a bit of updating. Overall we had a wonderful time.

We love Papakea Resort. We have stayed many times and this unit is in a great location and was clean. We also had nice communication with the property manager over email before arrival.

The condo was generally very nice, clean and comfortable. The view from the balcony was as depicted. The buildings are a bit dated and attention to detail on things like cleaning built up grime around door knobs was missing. However we were comfortable and liked the location.

Everything was wonderful. The only negative I have is reception not allowing us to have our keys 5 mins prior to 3pm which was frustrating with a busy toddler. It was 255 and she made us sit in the lobby for 5 mins before giving us our keys. By the time we would have gotten everything sorted and to the room it would have been after 3 anyways. The stay itself was lovely. We had everything we needed

We enjoyed our stay. The pictures were accurate and the view from the deck was wonderful. Spent most mornings and evenings on the deck overseeing the ocean and sunset. The location was very nice and was able to walk to food carts and other restaurants. Woul definitelystay again at this resort.

Absolutely amazing view! Really cool amenities including two pools/hot tubs, beach front, bbqs, put Put, shuffle board. Great location. Staff was friendly and helpful. Tina from Aloha Rentals was so friendly and helpful. Spacious condo, comfortable king size bed. Awesome community vibe. Great stay we would absolutely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed for a week in January and we absolutely loved the unit it has a beautiful view overlooking the pool area ocean and Molokai in the distance. The unit had everything we needed including beach chairs umbrella and boogie boards. There are also clubs for anybody interested in the putting green. The resort is really so beautiful and has everything no need to go any place else to just enjoy and relax.

20 years ago, my wife and I celebrated our honeymoon at Papakea and had an amazing time! Last week we returned to celebrate 20 years of marriage with our teenage daughters along for the ride this time and had as much fun or more this time around! The property is well managed, perfectly maintained, and just what you need for a wonderful vacation. Our unit with updated, and in perfect working condition. You are just a few minutes by car or bus to Whalers Village and about 15 minutes to Lahaina Town. There is a convenience store, grocery store, and several small restaurants within a couple minutes walk. We hope to revisit again soon!

The view is picturesque, the room exquisite, and the staff very friendly, knowledgable and professional.

Just finished 8 great days in Maui. We really enjoyed E306 with great views of pool and ocean. Unit was very clean and had comfortable beds and couches. The lanai furniture has been updated from ones i had seen of the unit. There were sand chairs and boogie boards for us to use at the beach which was short walk south of the resort.
Due to covid there are some restrictions like having to wear a mask in public and reduced pool hours from 11:30a to 6:30p. All minor inconveniences in order to keep everyone safe and enjoy paradise.
We would definitely rent this unit again the next time we make it back to Maui. Mahalo.

The place has a beautiful view of the ocean, pool area. Convenient enough to travel to the north and to Lahaina central. Nice and peaceful place, if that's what you're looking for, didnt feel crowded. Check in was quick and easy and the staff was great. The Managers were very helpful and courteous and responded quickly to any questions. At this price, would stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay in Papakea E306. This unit has everything needed to relax and enjoy your time on Maui. Looked exactly as represented in the rental listing, and everything worked, no problems at all. The bed was very comfortable, the appliances and kitchen outfitted nicely, and the view from the lanai was just perfect! We enjoyed and used the beach towels and chairs, and cooler during several beach visits, snorkeling adventures and hikes. There are restaurants and a grocery store just a short walk away. The pool and hot tub were clean and enjoyable, with chairs by the pool and oceanfront. Daily activities for those who are interested. Thank you for the wonderful vacation.
