My wife and I enjoyed our stay in the Garden Island Properties. It was our first time to Kauai and wanted a place that gave us access to the north side of the island as well as the south side. Poipu Beach is about a 35 minute drive to the south. Hanalei Beach is about a 40 minute drive to the north. The property itself was beautiful. It was right on the coast and gave us balcony views of the ocean. Every morning we woke up and enjoyed the sunrise over the ocean. The property is located next to the Coconut Marketplace which provided easy, convenient access to a grocery store, restaurants, shopping and a farmers market. The property is just a short drive from Kapa'a proper with other grocery stores, restaurants and touristy options. The condo was clean and provided everything we needed, even a little kitchenette with dishes and silverware. The property management was very easy to communicate with and always very responsive to us reaching out. We would definitely recommend this property to others and would like to stay here again!

Celebrating my birthday in Kauai with my daughter was absolutely amazing! Choosing this vrbo made it extra fun to be able to sleep with the windows open, hear the ocean. Watching the sunrise from the lanai was gorgeous! Being so close to shops with free parking all a plus. The studio had everything we needed. It was older but clean. I would recommend and stay here again for sure!

The Islander #348 with its direct oceanfront view was a wonderful unit, mere steps from the beach. Awakening to glorious sunrises, sitting on the balcony enjoying the ocean breeze in such a relaxing atmosphere, and falling asleep to the waves was nothing short of amazing!!
The unit was tastefully decorated and provided everything we needed during our stay. Islander on the Beach’s location was right behind the Coconut Marketplace, placing it at the center of many great things to do. The grounds are simply breathtaking, exotic and colorful flora and fauna everywhere you turned. The exquisiteness of God’s creation is simply astounding! The tiki bar, pool and hot tub was a hot spot.
On this visit to Kauai we chose to stay in Kapa’a, and it was a magnificent choice. We got to do and see so much, and yet there’s still so much to do on the island. Lava Lava Beach Club and Sam’s Oceanfront Restaurant were superb places to eat.

If you’re looking for a quiet, friendly, and relaxing place to stay with an awesome view of the ocean, this is the place for you. You don’t even need to rent a car. Stores and restaurants are a 5 min. walk.This condo is best for only 2 people but does have a sofa couch. No silverware or dishwasher, but not a problem for us. The ABC store had what we needed. I left a bottle opener for future quests.Although older buildings, the groundskeepers did an awesome job.You get your exercise going up the 3 flights of stairs. (No elevators) 😊

We have stayed at this condo many times and love it. It is right on the ocean, and you can fall asleep to the waves crashing, and wake up to the beautiful sunrise. We are gone all day and mainly only sleep at the condo, so it is perfect for us and has all we need.

This place is perfect! Right on the beach so you can see both sunrises and sunsets. I brought my daughter with me for her senior trip and the sofa sleeper is very comfortable. I definitely will be back with my husband! The only thing is that the beach umbrella doesn’t work but overall the best place to stay!

This property is in a super location. Overlooking the ocean just a few steps from the beach. There is a supermarket, shops and bars within walking distance. The interior of property is in need of some TLC, but that said it was clean and comfortable. Communication with the management company was good. Would return.

I have rented properties through Garden Island a number of times. I have always received excellent service and the units have always been as portrayed. Islander on the Beach is by far my favorite. It is perfectly located with regard to the beach, it is surrounded by charming shops and some very fine restaurants. It has easy access to the lovely town of Kapaa and the primary road granting access to the rest of the island. The condo had all of the necessities two equip me for my stay. The Garden Island staff is attentive and responsive. I have stayed in the same unit twice and it has been updated and refurbished. I would definitely stay here again and do recommend it to my friends.

Islander of the beach is located just 10-15 north of the Lihue airport. This ended up being the perfect location for us as the had plans to enjoy all parts of the island. It positioned us 45min to 1hr away from nearly everything we were interested in doing from the Kalalau Trail, Hanalei Bay, Popui Beach, Hopii Falls, Waimea Canyon, and Kokee State Park. We were also closed to several great local restaurants and grocery stores to meet all of our food needs. When we come again, we will definitely stay here!

This unit offers amazing ocean and sunrise views. The beach is a few steps away and easily accessible. We were pleasantly surprised how quiet the building was during our stay. Everything you need is included in the unit; the small cooler, beach chairs and umbrella are great to have for a beach day. During our stay the fridge door didn’t close properly, however, maintenance stopped by the same day. The team responds to any emails quickly which is much appreciated. You can’t go wrong staying here. Beach, ocean, Coconut Market Place, if you like pool lounging and cocktails, torches at night and AC, this is great. Perfect for a couple. Perfect vacation in paradise!

This property was ideal for my husband and I. Our first time on Kauai, it is ideally located mid-island for easy sight-seeing either direction. The frontage road in front of The Islander was helpful in avoiding traffic that built up at the intersection nearby. We had bikes and a car. Loved the bikes for the ocean front bike trail.
We also loved Lava Lava Beach Club next door to the property for food and drinks.
The pool bar at The Islander was awesome. Had some great nights just hanging out poolside.
The beach is easily accessible and we had no problem snagging a lounge chair every time we beached it. So fun in the ocean.
This unit is on the third floor, no elevator, so be prepared to carry all luggage up. But you only have to go up with it once! Coming down is easy.
The room has great AC, large TV, Queen size bed, coffee maker, and was just right for a couple. Loved hearing the waves all night long.
Affordable enough for an ocean front room. We definitely want to return. Love it!

Our only complaint, the sidewalk right under our balcony was under construction with large machinery, dust, noise, workers present. We were not informed prior to arrival. Did not want to spend our precious vacation time trying to find another vrbo so we just put up with it.

We had such a great time during our stay. We loved the central location. The beach chairs, beach towels, and small cooler were wonderful. The islander at the beach, so that was wonderful. Lava Lava was a great place to walk and eat. Safeway is close to get things for your beach outings. For us, I wish the cooler was a little bigger for those all day beach days.

My husband and I stayed here for the 4 nights we were in Kauai during our 2 week Hawaii vacation. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is spacious, and the patio overlooking the beach is fantastic! The grounds are beautiful and there is a nice little pool bar to enjoy. It's also great to be located right next to the Coconut Marketplace area with access to food and shops within very short walking distance. The beach is not crowded at all and we really appreciated having access to beach chairs and umbrellas in the room. I will say this beach is probably not great for kids because there are a lot of unpredictable waves, but we were able to swim without issue. This was our favorite accommodation on our trip and we would definitely stay here again!

The Islander was perfect for what we were looking for... a home base to explore Kauai. Stayed here and up in Princeville. While both properties were beautiful this one was our favorite. Reason being is simple, it was convenient. This is probably the best location to get anywhere on the island and plenty of options walking distance. The owners of this unit go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable and easy. Plenty of amenities provided like beach towels, chairs, after sun lotion, etc. The view from this unit is spectacular. We really enjoyed this unit, and will stay again here for our next trip. Don't wait, this is the one you should book for your Kauai trip!

Condo was clean and has great views of the ocean. It was convenient to have good retail and dining options just across the parking lot. It was nice that beach accessories (chairs, umbrella, cooler) were provided for our use. Made days at the beach much more comfortable. This condo right on the beach was PERFECT. My husband and I truly enjoyed every aspect: sunrise, easy access to the beach, walking distance to so many restaurants/markets, proximity to other food trunks and restaurants, accessibility for other areas of the island, and just overall how private it still felt. The property grounds were kept immaculately landscaped and we just had the BEST time. HIGHLY recommend and we would come back to stay again!

Excellent. The property was very well-maintained. It lived up to the pictures. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. Very little went wrong but when something did arise they addressed it immediately and cheerfully. When the TV broke they went out and bought a new one double the size and installed it within 24 hours. I have stayed with them before and will stay with them again.
