It is located just North of the famous Ka'anapali Beach. Walk to nearby local shops, cafes, restaurants, and grocery stores. It is a quick drive to Whalers Village and many of Maui's top beaches like Kaanapali, Napili Bay, and Kapalua Bay.

Papakea Resort is completing property improvement projects. Guests should expect construction noise during daytime working hours. Dates and work areas are subject to change due to weather, tides, or field conditions. Please contact our office for complete details on the following resort improvement projects.
· Walkway Coating Project. Dates August–November 2026. Scope of work: Remove existing traffic coating, concrete repair and resurface preparation (including grinding), application of multi-coat traffic coasting system (each layer requires extended drying time). Work hours are 8am to 5pm Mon-Fri. During demolition, preparation, and repair work, walkways and the elevator will remain open to foot traffic. Occupants should expect construction noise and dust particularly during the grinding activities. During the walkway coating and drying time, AOAO staff will be stationed on the lanai side of the building to assist with screened access to occupied condos as the entry door will not be accessible. Work progression: Work will begin at the A building and work in building letter progression. Work on the D Bldg is slated for 9/1-9/11/2026. *Update as of 8/28/26 the walkway coating project for the D building has been postponed until further notice.
· Phase I Seawall Repair Project. Dates August 10-September 2026. Scope of work: Replace rocks along the ocean side of the seawall and backfill the sinkholes that have developed adjacent to the seawall. General Construction work hours 8am to 5pm Mon-Fri. Ocean-Side Rock Restoration 6am to 7pm Mon-Fri depending on daily tide conditions. Work progression: Work will begin at the Lanai ocean side stairs area.Work will then progress from North to South, which is subject to change. Rock stacking will begin where ocean and beach conditions allow.

Nice condo complex. Pool and hot tub was good, beautiful backdrop of water, mountains and sunsets. The grounds are well taken care of. Condo unit was in decent shape, except shower door was broken and air conditioner could be better but otherwise could not have asked for a better place to stay.

We stayed in room D208. I have something to let you know about. That the bathroom vanity overhead lights are not functioning. They have barely any light coming from them. Also the bathroom fan makes a lousy noise. Then the living room overhead fan no way to turn off.

Stayed here with my husband for 6 nights. The location was perfect... so close to shopping, grocery, breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Everything within walking distance or within a 15 min drive. The grounds, pool, bbqs and oceanfront views were the highlights of our stay. As for the condo, it was comfortable. Only issues were that the back bedroom can get a bit warm (AC is only in the living room.) Shower curtain had some mildew stains as well. Overall we enjoyed our stay considering the great rate we got.

Resort is on a small beach and well located. Close to grocery story (short walk) and an ABC store is adjacent to the property. The unit met all our basic needs with everything we needed for our stay. Washer and dryer in the unit worked well. I would come back again

First impressions mean alot to me so when I see little things I wonder about others. The screens in bedroom window were so covered in dust that when I used the on site vacuum it came off in clumps. Went to wipe the burner plate on the Mr.Coffee machine and it was encrusted with caramelized coffee. Really a $50 purchase would take this negative away. The seat supports in living room chair are shot so when you sit your butt is not far off the carpet. Also on arrival some of the dishes in the cupboard were dirty. The dishwasher has an off odor to it so suspect that the filter needs to be changed. Also the air conditioner had a red light on saying filter needs changing. Too much furniture on the balcony making it hard to move around. All in all it seems very little TLC is applied to this condo.

Location was excellent. Climate Control needs some attention-fan in bedroom never got past slow speed and made noise(had to ask for more fans), A/C in living room had check filter light on and would shut off on occasion. Property needs some simple TLC. I would stay at this resort but probably look for another condo to stay in.

We love coming back to Papakea! It's such a gem, perfectly located, and beautifully landscaped. I love falling asleep lulled by the sound of the water fountains outside and the cool breeze from the ocean! It has a beach within 1 minute's walking distance, a coffee place across the street, two grocery stores nearby, and a bunch of places to eat.
During our stay we needed some help with the condo and called the maintenance office on three occasions. Each time somebody came promptly and fixed our problem (one time it was cause we didn't know how to turn on the TV...).
The unit itself is very convenient, has a fully stocked kitchen, and everything a vacationer may need. We stayed there for about two weeks, and most of the meals were cooked in that kitchen.
The only thing that might need work is the pull-out bed that was pretty old and uncomfortable.

First off this unit will meet all your basic needs. It has a well functioning kitchen, complete bathroom, and a comfortable bed. There’s also a washer and dryer and everything you need for a day at the beach. And the view is spectacular.
That being said - this unit has not been updated in quite a while. The kitchen is straight out of the 80’s with cheap cupboards and laminate counters. Same with the bathroom. The artificial flowers throughout the unit don’t help. The bathroom fan is in desperate need of replacement, every time it’s turned on it sounds like a jet taking off. The TVs are small but that might not be in important to everyone. The furniture is NOT comfortable, especially the chair. The furniture outside is fine though I wish there were two lounge chairs. The washer and dryer are VERY small.
I want to reiterate that this unit will meet your basic needs. And the grounds are spectacular. We enjoyed our stay and will return to Papakea, just not this unit.

Well equipped condo on 2nd floor, great view of grounds. You can also see the ocean and the neighboring island of Molokai. There is no beach except a low tide there is sand and its walk-able, but its a 5 minute walk to a regular beach. You can actually snorkel right in from of the resort, and I was amazed by the number of fish and coral. The condo has boogie boards, snorkel sets and beach towels. Would certainly stay there again.
