We loved our stay in Kauai and would absolutely stay here again. The check-in process was easy and the communication was excellent. The tsunami warning was issued on our 2nd day there and we wanted to confirm we were in a safe zone (we were!) and they were quick to answer our email and let us know information. Also we were really impressed with all that was provided for our stay. So many places we’ve stayed don’t have enough utensils, pots/pans, etc but this kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals and to clean up afterward. They provided enough bath towels and beach towels and linens, and even paper products like paper towels and toilet paper. There is only AC in the living area and primary bedroom but there are lots of oscillating fans available and those worked well enough to keep the house cool enough even though it was pretty warm weather during our stay. We loved having the umbrellas and beach chairs and boogie boards to use, too! Such a great time and wonderful memories for our family of 5!

I can’t say enough about my stay at this condo. It has the most spectacular views from every window and lanai! You could hear the ocean crashing, birds singing all looking out towards the trees and mountains. The condo had comfortable furnishings and a well stocked kitchen. They provided beach chairs, towels and snorkel gear. Walk out the front door and there are walking paths galore.Also, great email communication with Makana properties with very clear instructions made staying there a breeze. I highly recommend staying here. What a peaceful place to stay. I can’t wait to come back!

This property is beautiful and despite some of the features being a bit older (ie bathrooms) there is such care taken and so many great details throughout. For example, when we arrived lights were on, fans were on, there were fresh flowers on the table and Hawaiian music playing softly. My teen actually walked in and said, “what is this heavenly music?” There were also many amenities like beach towels and chairs and shampoo and conditioner and just little touches around the house that it felt like a real home and not a rental. I’d love to stay here again.

Great condo with the best views on Mountains and falls in the mountain somedays. Very clean, confortable and quiet.Bedroom on upper floor was hot with no AC, was difficult on hot days, even in January. The 2 other room were no problem (but they have full carpets so be aware if allergies). The manager was very easy to communicate with. The pool and spa were welcomed for us. The only suggestion i would give is to add more hooks in all bathrooms for bath and beach towels because not permitted on balcony, so no much place to hang.Very close to different beaches by car, Hanalei, and all places on North shore.I would go back anytime, it was a perfect vacation place.

This townhouse was the perfect in every way. It was impeccably clean and great layout of townhouse with 2 master bedrooms with en-suites. Very quiet setting for the perfect relaxing vacation. Highly recommend!!

We came to Kauai to celebrate many things--25 years of marriage, two graduations, and my 50th birthday! The condo is beautiful and the neighborhood is quite peaceful. We were a little shocked to be awakened by a rooster but after the first day, it didn't phase us.
We loved having access to a washer and dryer and the accommodations offered beach towels, umbrellas, and chairs which came in handy. However, we only made it once to the beach as it rained quite a bit during our stay. We would definitely look into staying here again!

A beautiful spacious property in a gorgeous part of the north of Kauai, near to beaches and fun towns.
I woke up early every morning (thank you jet lag) and spent hours on the balcony watching the changing view of the mountains as the clouds, sun and rain moved across them. Absolutely breathtaking.
The kitchen was better stocked with pots and pans and dinnerware than any rental we have stayed in (and all in great shape) and we enjoyed several meals at home after a busy day boogie boarding at the beach or hiking.
I would 100% recommend this rental. Just perfect.

The accommodations at Makana Villas were exceptional. The spacious and well-appointed living areas provided a comfortable haven for our family to relax and unwind. We were fortunate enough to enjoy from our own private balcony breathtaking panoramic views of majestic mountains, waterfalls, and rainbows.
The fully equipped kitchen allowed us to prepare our own meals, adding a touch of convenience and home-like comfort to our stay.

All of us were very very pleased with the house and location, we especially enjoyed the lanai while raining (views are breathtaking). The only thing compared to other rentals we have been is we had (after a late night arrival) to get out first thing in the morning to get some coffee. Other than that we were very happy..

When we visit any Hawaii islands, we always stayed at the ocean front properties but after going through the listings, we saw the photo of this house with a great Mountain View. So we decided to stay here and it did not disappoint. Location is amazing with great Mountain View. Check-in was very easy and property was really clean. Loved the layout too. Lots of privacy if you needed. 👍

This condo is really lovely. Very comfortable, clean and in a quiet community. Gorgeous view of the mountains to wake up to everyday!The kitchen is well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. We very much enjoyed our stay.I would say that the couches leave much to be desired in terms of comfort. They seem more like outdoor furniture. Some of the under support has been broken. If they owners invested in some real couches or a sectional this place would be perfect!

We booked this property and others on our trip specifically for AC and ability for infants to sleep in the room while we enjoy the living area. One bedroom had no AC and was extremely hot. Host said to leave AC running in the living room with fans running and room would get cold. It did not and was unbearable for the infant
We had to leave the bedroom open and so was unable to use the living area without waking the baby in that room
We asked the host for a window ac unit the first morning, they agreed but when we came back to the room they sent a message that the windows in the unit were not compatible with the AC and washed their hands of any responsibility.
I doubt we are the first people to ask for a window AC so this seems ingenuine to me. We asked if we could get another unit so we wouldn't have to choose which baby would sleep in the hot room and unfortunately they said they were fully booked
Very disappointed since we booked this property specifically for the AC.

My friend and I had a beautiful 4 night stay at our Makana Kauai rental. The gated neighborhood was beautifully kept, felt very safe and was relaxing and peaceful. The home was clean, spacious and met all of our needs weather adventuring out for the day at the beach or relaxing for an evening at home to watch sunset from the balcony with breathtaking views of the lush mountains. The property was perfectly situated with short drives to Princeville village and Hanalei town. Highly recommend this property!

I have stayed many condos in Princeville, but it was the best. The luxurious rattan sofa, various kitchenware, and bed were perfect and luxurious. Air-conditioning is provided in the living room and master bedroom, so we could enjoy a comfortable rest even on a hot day. It is located a little higher, so the view of the mountain every morning and evening MUST be one of the best on earth. It is an independent structure where two families can maintain each other's privacy. It is a dream resort townhouse that you want to come back to in the near future.

The Villa and the neighborhood in which the Villa was located as literally Fairy Tale. The customer care (Makana Agents) could not have been any more responsive and incredibly helpful. Their responses were literally within minutes. The Villa was equipped with more than we could have wanted. Three TV's, bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms (the beds and bed linens made it extremely difficult to get out of bed!). This was an incredible treat for my family. This would be a destination for all. This is an amazing property to stay at!! Gated community with access to pool/hot tub, simply stunning views from the 3 decks, and close to beaches. The property was clean, large enough for 2 couples to spread out and equipped with everything you need for a great stay, including beach gear. It was amazing and we couldn’t recommend highly enough!

The home was absolutely gorgeous and very clean and spacious. 5 minutes away from grocery store with a nearby gas station that has delicious breakfast burritos and also ordered a pizza from there one night, very good. The only complaint I have on the home was there was no AC in the bedroom on main floor. Other than that was perfect.

Unit 27 is fantastic! We’ve stayed at dozens of rental properties over the years, and this is a rare find that is bigger and prettier than the pictures make it seem. These condos are very high quality, and in the prefect spot for exploring the North Shore. The balcony views of the mountains are gorgeous, and since the complex is slightly off the main Princeville track, it is much quieter and peaceful. Everything was in order, and getting in was a breeze. The A/C in the master and living room was great, and they provide ample fans for the other two rooms. Beach equipment was in great shape and we used it often. One request would be to convert the sleeper sofa into a twin bed or bunk bed, but our 13 year old slept on the pullout without a single complaint.If you have a chance to book this condo - do it.

We could not have been more comfortable staying in this beautiful mountain view home. Our family of four had everything we could ever need to make our stay in Kauai an extra special trip for us. It was so spacious and the pictures do not do it justice. It was so beautiful! We loved the beach chairs, mats, and coolers left for us to use. This home really added to making our Kauai trip feel as if we were staying in paradise!
