The house was so wonderfully comfortable for our 10-person family. Relaxed seating pool side for water and barbecue activities and the porch upstairs for family dinners and sunset viewing. We rented the car from Valerie and enjoyed the convenience of having it ready for us when we arrived and leaving it behind when our getaway ended. The house provided privacy for adult family members while providing lots of gathering spaces. We highly recommend this accommodation.

We enjoyed our stay but there were some issues with cleanliness and how the kitchen was equipped and the lack of A/C. The house was hot when we arrived. We bought (and left) a fan to try to get some of the heat to escape. Plus no A/C meant windows had to be open all the time. At night, the koki frogs were loud (bring earplugs) and then later the roosters started. The shower curtain liners had mildew, the downstairs' was especially gross. Floors turned our feet bottoms black. Kitchen bakeware and cookware is mostly worn out and wasn't clean. There was no salt or kitchen countertop cleaning products, which we bought and left. Also aluminum foil, and tongs. The middle shelf in the refrigerator froze the bagged salads and the eggs and all had to be thrown away. Kids enjoyed the pool. Ample pool and beach toys. Nice washer and dryer. The driveway has a hump at street - take that slowly!

Home is spacious and beautiful. The view from the home is breath taking. We were close to the airport, beautiful beaches and shopping center. Would definitely book again. Valerie was very responsive to all my questions

We were very pleased with the property and how well it was maintained. Spacious and comfortable for 10 adults. Valerie communicated promptly and informative too. My only concern was the cockroaches inside the house. I was informed it is a temporary problem, and hopefully it will be resolved before the next guests arrive. Thank you Valerie.

This is the 2nd time we've stayed in this home with a team of people for work. It has everything you could possibly need. The location is perfect, amazing sunsets and it's nice and cool at night due to the higher elevation. Valerie is an awesome host and was very attentive to every need. Would HIGHLY recommend for families or larger groups, plenty of space for sleeping arrangements and having 3 bathrooms really helps keep everyone sane. Mahalo!

Sorry for the late reply. Valerie Robinett was the best host ever. She was responded quicky to our questions and requests. Her beautiful home was well furnished, clean, and well taken care of. She personally cleaned the pool of any leaves before our arrival. We highly recommend her home to others. Thank you very much, wished we could have stayed longer.

We had a wonderful experience at this home. There isn’t any a/c (which is the norm for homes in Hawaii), but we had a nice breeze with the doors and windows open through the screens. There were 10 of us (ages 13-78) and we all had ample space. We cooked while we were there and although there was a few things missing from the kitchen (mixing bowls and a slow cooker etc), we made do. Location is excellent and very close to airport and to where my daughter is living on the island. We rented Valerie’s 2 vehicles as well and they were great. Valerie was wonderful to work with, was very gracious, as well as generous and answered all of my questions. The pool was a huge bonus and we enjoyed it every day we were there.
Would definitely recommend this house and will stay here again if any of my other children go to YWAM on the Big Island.

The pictures posted do not do this house justice- the most amazing view from the front deck of the ocean and gorgeous sunsets. And the pool was stunning- perfect temperature, very large and our family spent parts of every day enjoying the pool. The house is quite large with more than enough space to spread out. The location is perfect- nice quiet neighborhood, easy access to the airport, downtown Kona, or the highway to other parts of the island. Communication with property manager was fast, and the one issue we had was quickly handled (thanks Nicole!). The only improvements could be made with how 'stocked' the kitchen is (or isn't). There were not enough drinking glasses, and was missing some other standard-type kitchen necessities. But it was not big deal, and we left the house better stocked than we found it. This in no way should prevent anyone from renting this amazing property. Already miss the peaceful mornings sipping coffee on the deck, watching the ocean and listening to the charming backyard birds of Hawaii. Thanks Valerie for sharing your piece of paradise!

The home accommodated our 9 people. It was a nice location, quiet with a view of the ocean. Our host was very responsive. Just a caution with the driveway as there is a speed bump which caused our rental car to bounce and bottom out as the driveway drops down quickly.

We absolutely loved our stay at this home! We met the homeowners and they were so helpful in telling us the great beaches and places to eat.
Also the home is perfect for a larger family or group. We all had comfortable beds. Bathrooms were clean and perfect. The kitchen was well stocked and was so nice to use for many of our meals.
We loved sitting on the lanai and looking out over the ocean and watching the sunsets. It is an ideal location for everything you want to do on the Big Island!

The home was great! all the rooms were clean,
The only thing unexpected was Kitchen is on the 2nd floor, so we ended up mostly living in the 2nd floor always (nobody took the 1st floor bedroom)
Also during check-in we arrived in the night (after 9pm) and the property was very dark ( i believe to avoid light pollution?), it was a little hard to figure out how to get in (The host was helpful and responsive at that time)

Just a beautiful place don't know if I should say that because I won't be able to rent it again It will be all booked up lol . Best ever place to stay. Be respectful when you enter the home and the yard/pool they work hard up keeping the area.

This home is in a great location close to town, beaches and airport. The size is excellent for larger families wanting to all be together. The children absolutely LOVED having a pool right outside the door! And I loved the yard that is there as well. It would have been a more peaceful feeling if the pool had a gate around it but the kids were told right away that they couldn’t go outside without an adult and they followed the rule immediately. Our family felt at home and never once felt crowded in this oversized home. The owner was very responsive and grateful for honest communication on issues that as a rental will come up. It was a GREAT stay!

The description and pictures do not illustrate how wonderful this house is. Our family of 7 (ages 8-78) had plenty of room to relax and unwind after exploring the island every day. We used the kitchen and/or grill daily to cook meals, enjoyed eating them on the lanai, and swam in the pool at least once a day. The bedrooms and bathrooms were exactly what we needed to accommodate all 7 of us. The sunsets were also spectacular on the lanai. Valerie had every toy we could have needed for the beach and more. She even had a Christmas tree for us, as our family celebrated Christmas at this lovely home. She was extremely responsive with any question we had prior to and during the trip. We definitely recommend this house to anyone and hope to return for another stay in the future!

As many of the reviews stated already the pics do not do this gem justice! Very clean & comfortable and spacious for my family of 8! Meals on the lanai, the great yard, & pool were amazing! Great communication with the host and easy check in and out. Would recommend this place and stay again!

This house was the perfect size and location for our family. Phenomenal view of the sunset every night. The pool is awesome. The pics are terrible here, and the house is much nicer in person. Downstairs has tv room and bedroom. Upstairs has three bedrooms, two are small and one is master that is beautiful. Only small complaint was the limited cleaning supplies in the house. We stayed for nine nights and ran out. Would definitely recommend this house though and the manager was easy to connect with.

What a delightful home to stay in while on the Big Island! We had only planned two nights here, which was too little time for our family of eight to enjoy the island and all the amenities of this beautiful home. Did I mention the evening sunsets while were having dinner on the huge lanai, or the relaxing pool that was so welcomed after each day of driving to see sights elsewhere on the island? Valerie could not have been more helpful in providing answers to questions in advance or having a complete welcome notebook upon our arrival. Her decorating touches all throughout the home shows her pride in making this property feel like the home we would want if we lived in Kailua-Kona. Thank you, Valerie!

This was a great place for our party of 8. As previous reviews have pointed out the photos of the property don’t do it justice. It is spacious with a great kitchen and 4 bedrooms that gave lots of privacy when needed. And the pool is neat also - very different from any other house I’ve stayed in and perfect for end-of-day cooling off. The host was very responsive to every query we made so there was no confusion about what was necessary for check-in, check-out, and everything in between. Plus the view is tremendous! I would highly recommend this house.
