The stay was wonderful and a nice proximity to everything. The bay front view was amazing and perfect spot for morning coffee to eating carry-out with the ocean view. On rainy mornings, we could still be out on the balcony relaxing and enjoying the view while being out of the rain.
We frequented Passion Bakery with the amazing malsadas, sticky buns and egg sandwiches to Coconut Market for shopping and enjoyment of their Thai Food and delicious Hawaiian Pizza from Bobby V’s. Chicken in a Barrel was also a great spot for take out.
Also in walking distance was Rainbow Kayaking Adventures where we were shuttled and paddles/hiked up to Secret Falls. Lava Lava Beach Club had a great ocean view as a beach front restaurant with tasty Poke Nachos and drinks. Smith Luau was super close too and very enjoyable.
The condos were quiet and comfortable, everything one would need for a vacation for rest and relaxation. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The unit is very comfortable with lovely furnishings and had all the amenities we needed including beach gear. Great ocean view from the lanai and we could walk straight out the door to the pool and bbq area. An easy walk to the Coconut Grove shopping complex and a quick drive to Safeway. The location of the condo is perfect for driving north or south for exploring. David was excellent at communicating and making sure we had all the info we needed for a great time. As well, Mark the onsite manager was friendly and helpful. Although the complex is somewhat close to the hwy, for the most part the sound of the surf and wind in the trees. muffled any of the traffic noise. We hardly ate out during our week at the condo because we had all the kitchen essentials and so enjoyed dining on the lanai. A big Mahalo to David for making our first ever stay on Kauai a great one.

The view off the porch is absolutely stunning. We even saw some whales one evening. The only downside which is very minor was the beach isnt just right off the condo like the pictures seem, but its a short walk. Highly recommend!

It is very clean and has a balcony and snorkel equipment you can borrow. Fully equipped kitchen. Nice pool. Helpful onsite manager. Across the street from the best bakery in the world. Easy access beach just below.

We always rent a condo when visiting Hawaii. This one was the best we have ever booked. For starters, the view from the lanai is absolutely dreamy at sunrise. But what really sets the Holway's place apart is the superbly maintained features. Everything from the K-cup and drip coffee makers, to the coffee grinder, pots, pans, and blender are in perfect condition. We loved the automatic ice maker in the spacious new fridge.
Anothe highlight was the location. It is fairly close to the airport and everything in Lihue including the Costco. It's also roughly midway on the coastline drive from Polihale to Kee Beach. This makes it ideal for both winter and summer seasons' seas.
And finally, across the street from the condo is one of the best bakeries on Kauai...the Paradise Bakery. Stop in for wonderful hot malasadas (T, Th and Sat morn at 7am) or their memorable mac nut sticky buns. Bring them back to your condo for the million dollar morning view. Yum.
Communication with the owner was flawless as was our entire stay. We hope to return. Mahalo and aloha.

The location and view of this property are clearly the main sell here. They are amazing. This condo has also been through an high-end round of renovations in the living room and kitchen that make it even more appealing. The bathroom needs work to get it unto the same realm as the rest of the condo, but it works. Internet was out once or twice for our stay but is close to 100Mb when up - great for the islands. We will absolutely return and we've already booked our stay for 2024.

Wow! This was an absolutely fantastic stay here at Wailua Bay View. The condo is well stocked with essentials like dishes, washer and dryer(even soap, although we brought some), towels. The complex has 2 grills by the pool so we had everything we needed to cook and clean in this furnished home.
The condo is centrally located so either direction you can be anywhere in just a few minutes. The AC's worked great, cooled the condo down very quickly, this was a major plus! Thank you David,owner for everything! Also thank you Mark, site manager, for all the info about where to go! Don't even think about it just reserve and enjoy your stay!!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this beautiful Wailua Bay View condo. We found it a very convenient location from which to explore the island on our own or via tours. The view of the bay was wonderful and we often ate our meals on the lanai watching wind boarders or kiteboarders. This property met all our needs and was comfortable and convenient. We would certainly recommend this property to anyone looking to experience Kauai.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location was excellent, convenient to everything, and the ocean view was amazing. We spent most of our time at the condo out on the lanai. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies and we even cooked dinner one night on the grill by the pool. We would definitely stay here again!

A great choice by us ! Well stocked and very very comfortable bed. Only blemish is the heavily trafficked roadway coupled with the deteriorating remains of a hotel/model complex from decades ago - both views to the right of your lanai’s location.

Great view, grill area and pool. David, the owner, quickly resolved a small problem with the new refrigerator's ice maker. The location is convenient. Unfortunately, road work made the traffic even worse with a lane shut down plus numerous accidents and siren noise (I am sure from impatient drivers). This unit is clean, up dated, and fully stocked for use.

This centrally located one bedroom condo not only has an AMAZING view it also has amenities such as a washer/dryer, air conditioner, fans, and new appliances. It made our one week stay a wonderful one. There were a bunch of good restaurants within a 5 minute drive and it was very close to the mall, Safeway, Costco, and target. Communication with the owner was efficient. I would stay there again on our next trip to Kauai and would recommend to friends and family.

The place was clean and centrally located if you have a car, 30 min drive to just about all Hanalei or Piopu beach etc… The view from the unit is spectacular looking out to the ocean and beach view a mountain backdrop as well. Would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay at this property. The location is perfect for exploring any part of Kauai. The unit itself was clean and comfortable (bed may have been the most comfortable ever in a rental property!), offered a great view of the surf coming into Wailua Bay. We were delayed arriving by airline trouble and we were able to communicate well with David, our host. Great accommodation for a couple.

We thought it would have better water access, we should have checked on a map, but the view of the ocean was nice, the busy highway did not create much noise. We watched wind surfers from the balcony. I would have liked the whole place to have AC but am thankful the bedroom did. The bed was very nice, a perfect blend of firm and soft. Having a washer dryer was handy.
Overall it was a perfect size for my husband and I. Walking to reaturants did not take too long and was paved on side streets. Because we are older (50s)it took a little bit of trial and error to work the tvs . Kitchen is updated, dishwasher was a little old and noisy. We would stay again.

Very happy with our stay. Things were very clean and we didn’t have any issue with bugs. They also had snorkel gear, a cooler, beach towels, and some beach chairs that were so nice to have. Also nice to have full kitchen and washer/dryer.
The back patio looks right out into the ocean for a nice view every morning. It’s about a three min walk down to the beach. This was our first time to Kauai so we were also happy to stay in wailua where it was central to activities around the island.
One thing to note: as mentioned, there is AC only in the bedroom. I hear that it is pretty standard on the island to get that, or even properties with no ac. We were grateful for the cool air, but it sounded like a freight train in the room at night so bring ear plugs. That and for the roosters that will wake you early otherwise.

My husband and I loved our stay at this rental. Kind of a bummer that there is only AC in bedroom. But it’s doable with fans in living room. The rental it clean. Gorgeous view. I like the location because you can easily drive to the north shore or down south. I would stay here again!

We picked this condo for its central Location. It didn’t disappoint. Equal distance between the north and south areas. We had great communication with the owners. Checking in was super easy. View from the Lani was what we were hoping for.trade winds kicked in after a couple of days really cooled things off. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

The unit was listed to sleep 4. While the bedroom had a comfortable bed, the pullout couch in the living room way too uncomfortable to sleep on. It was useless. Furthermore it was listed to have access to the tradewinds for cooling. We tried all ways to get some ventilation, but if the AC in bedroom was being used the hot air from it come through the door. It was sweltering at times. I would suggest installing another portable AC unit in living room and purchasing a more comfortable bed for living room. It was the view that made it tolerable.

What a wonderful vacation we had in Kauai. The check-in process and communication with the condominium owners was great. The unit met all of our needs. We loved the location, nice balcony with a beautiful view of Waimea Bay, comfortable air conditioned bedroom, full kitchen, Tommy Bahama chairs and towels for outings to the beach, and the ability to walk to the local beach, shops, and restaurants. We enjoyed gorgeous hikes, snorkeling, swimming, a helicopter tour, swimming under waterfalls, fabulous food, a cocoa farm, botanical gardens, kayaking. Whew......not nearly enough time to do all the gorgeous island has to offer. We highly recommend a visit to this island and the lovely condo we stayed in. Mahalo

The unit is very nice and large. We enjoyed the balcony and often felt as if we were the only people staying in the building. The location is convenient for day trips around the island. The property owners were great and communicated with us promptly, the property manager on site was a great asset. The view from the balcony is fantastic.

Property was clean and had pretty much all the amenities we needed. One thing that would be a good addition would be an electric kettle as the stove top one took 15 minuets to boil. Mark the building supervisor was very friendly and helpful and offered a lot of suggestions for our visit. He is an asset the the property owners. The unit is a little dated and could use updating to maximize the potential provided by the location. Very central to everything on the island and easy walk to the local market place. Really enjoyed the food and staff at Bobby V’s in the Coconut Market. Great sites but a lot of driving. Overall the weather was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

We came over for our 26th anniversary in Oct of 2018. We found the unit beautiful, clean, well furnished (loved how comfortable the King bed was) and with the perfect Hawaii view right off the lanai. Speaking of which the lanai had plenty of seating (5 nice chairs) and two tables for setting your drinks or a meal on. Even though a 1st floor unit the patio was raised about 3' off the ground and had a permeant railing. Felt very safe and cozy. Ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom keep it cool along with an always pleasant ocean breeze. We were walking distance to about 4-5 restaurants and a short driving distance to about a dozen others. The pizza restaurant across the street has a great happy hour and for dessert they also serve Mud Pie! (we went twice). The patio also has beach chairs and coolers for your beach outings. The washer and dryer look brand new and work well. The onsite property manager - Mark - knows all the good places to eat and visit. Extremely friendly and low key. The owners are excellent on communications and are always a text or phone call away. Highly recommend this property if you are planning a relaxing Kauai vacation. Jeff & Tracie

Our first tropical vacation and we were so happy we picked this place! The view at any time of the day is beautiful, peaceful and private. The sunrise and sunset are especially nice, but the relaxing sound of the surf are great ALL the time. The pool area and grill are literally 6 steps away. Everything you need for cooking or beach going is provided . Location is great to see and do anything you want on the island. Books and travel guides are a great addition. Just a very great place to come home to after exploring the island. Comfortable furniture, nice people . Hosts Bill and Georgia and Mark the care taker were very responsive and helpful....although we had no problems. We are already talking about coming back to this beautiful island.

We cannot say enough good things about Wailua Bay View Unit 106. It was all we hoped for and more! We loved being on the first floor, so convenient to bring our things in from the parking lot as well as very easy access to the gas grills near the pool. The unit is well cared for and clean. We only used the A/C in bedroom on the last night because of higher humidity from the storm that was blowing in. The ceiling fans kept the unit very pleasant. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was adequately equipped. We cooked in for every evening meal and enjoyed eating on the lanai watching the waves and an occasional surfer. It is a spectacular view for sunrise as well. We enjoyed the basket of treats and Mark, the manager gave us a tip on bakery across the street. We had the caramel sticky buns almost every morning. It might be nice to have two commuter mugs with lids for coffee in the unit to take down to the beach for a morning walk. The beach chairs and cooler were great. We used them every day. The snorkeling equipment was a plus. We didn't use the beach umbrella because the piece that we would have screwed into the sand was missing but most places we went had shade. It was great to have a washer and dryer in the unit. It might be nice to have a drying rack. I made due with plastic clothes hangers from the closet in the bathroom so very minor point. We found that Kapaa was a great place to stay. It was very centrally located so no matter where our adventure took us the drive wasn't very long. It was our first trip to Kaua'i but hopefully not our last. I would stay here again, most definitely.

We had never rented from VRBO before and were nervous. But, Bill and Georgia had great communication with us and we are so happy that we choose their place to stay in. We went to celebrate our 10yr anniversary and we truly could not imagine a better location.
This lanai faces the water which makes it a fantastic place to begin each day watching the sunrise and end each day listening to the ocean sounds. We had a romantic dinner out there and it was absolutely perfect.
There is AC in the bedroom, which is must to help sleep. The bed was comfortable.
There is a fan located in the living area that did the trick prior to us retiring for the evening. There is an oven, microwave, coffee pot, dishwasher and fridge. There are also cooking utensils and spices. They provide beaches towels, a cooler, beach chairs and umbrella.
Mark, the Wailua Bay View manager, was super helpful and kind. We liked that this location was not overly populated like some of the hotels I imagine are. Also, the location is so convenient to everything on the island.
There is a guestbook that had helpful tips from past guest which I thought was a nice touch especially if you are not there for long.
There are great restaurants within walking distance, our favorite was S Street Burgers.
If it wasn't for our daughters waiting for us at home we may have not left. ;)

We very much enjoyed our time in Kapaa. The condo was very clean & had everything we could possibly need. The pool is wonderful & the bbq grills were immaculate. The owner, Bill was very helpful as was Mark, the property manager. I would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Kapaa. Mahalo!
