We had an amazing time in the Princeville area, partly due to the condo we were staying in. It was just as advertised in both the pictures and description. Amazing views, from the living room, dining area and kitchen. Condo was perfectly located for traveling around the North side of the island. Would definitely stay there again.

We really loved the location (short drive to Hanalei) and the view overlooking the ocean. The VRBO was clean and well stocked with beach gear and kitchen supplies. The hosts were very responsive and kind. The only note is that it is a 1st floor unit with a unit above. There were jumping/running/yelling kid guests above us, and they could be heard in this VRBO. These guests were respectful of the quiet hours, and we chose to travel around Kauai rather than stay in the VRBO during the daytime. It's still a really great VRBO, and a better deal than the One resort hotel just steps down the road.

We loved our stay at Pali Ke Kua 110! I'm so happy we decided to go down the private path to the beach for residents only! What a lovely surprise! It is filled with black rock and it's just private and lovely. It's a little steep but nothing we couldn't handle carrying beach chairs (provided by the hosts) and our day backpacks! We loved watching the sunset on the lanai and the lounge chair was perfect for reading/tanning. It was something I didn't realize we needed/loved until we spent evenings doing so! It was our first trip to Kauai and loved everything about the location. About a 10min drive to Hanalei town!

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It is in a very convenient and beautiful location. The views are stunning. The bed is very comfortable. The only negatives were my husband and I felt the kitchen was not very well stocked with glasses, mugs, etc. and the beach towels are small and flimsy. Also, we did not have functioning washing machine. We were notified the day before arriving that it was broken and another was ordered. We know sometimes these things cannot be helped.

Although this was an older unit (stated in the listing) it was clean pretty and had complete amenities. Very pleasant stay, great location, private beach. Greeted by manager on arrival who was courteous and helpful. The washer broke down on our last day. Could not be fixed before we left but we were given a generous credit without even asking. Would definitely stay again.

The view was superb. The parking was always excellent. Location was good enough, and the main highway was accessible within 5 minutes. The location is within a short drive of a grocery store and several restaurants.
A manager hassled us the day before check-out to see if we were leaving that day (we were not). A simple mistake, but something I would double-check before knocking.

The location of the condo is perfect! We got to watch the sunset from the patio every night and were right across the street from Hideaways Pizza for a quick drink or dinner. The condo is well equipped with appliances/cookware/dinnerware and also has plenty of beach gear (towels, chairs, mats) that we took all over the island with us. On previous visits to Kauai, we’ve stayed in Kilauea, Kapa’a, and Poipu, but Princeville will be our choice from now on. It’s convenient to everything the north shore has to offer and we didn’t feel isolated or overrun with crowds of tourists.

We love the location of Pali Ke Kua. We have stayed over 12 times at this property. This unit is by far the most in need of maintenance.Stove only had 2 burners that worked. No basic salt and pepper. Only 2 wine glasses. cabinets hard to open. drawers get stuck easily. Supplies scarce- one garbage bag. One beach chair- one lounge chair. Not enough for a couple.

Pali Ke Kua 110 was a perfect place for us to spend a week and totally unwind. The view from the unit couldn't be beat, and it felt so private. We saw very few people walking in front of the condo and enjoyed our daily visits from the nene geese and Brazilian cardinals. We had everything we needed to cook our meals, which we did everyday. Honestly, it was hard to leave the condo because we were so relaxed and captivated by our view. Not to be overlooked, the bed was wonderful. We do love to walk and swim, however, so we did walk down the short path to Hideaways Beach as well as the Queen's Bath and to the St Regis. This particular location in Princeville suited us very well because of the accessibility to what we enjoy. We would not hesitate to come back here or recommend it to others. Thanks to Mandy and everyone else who helped make the trip easy and enjoyable from the booking to the checking out.

Our experience was great as usual. We have stayed in Unit 110 for many trips. It was nice to see the new remodel with the nice floors, pictures, appliances, and TV's. However, everything was changed, yet the refrigerator was the old one and the door didnt stick alot of the time. Hopefully that will get fixed. But as far as location, views, etc. it was awesome.

Our experience at Pali Ke Kua #110 was wonderful. The location is absolutely beautiful. The condo was very spacious and having a kitchen was a bonus. The kitchen was well stocked, however having updated appliances would have made the kitchen more beautiful. Overall, my husband and I were very happy we stayed in Pali Ke Kua. A few minor improvements including better outdoor furniture, having salt/pepper, and cooking oil would have made our stay a bit easier. We enjoyed dinner at the Dolphin restaurant in Hanalei.

The views, location, and condo were exactly as depicted. We had probably one of the best views in Princeville. Our place sat on a cliff overlooking the ocean, Bali Hai and Hanalei Bay. So beautiful. Very convenient and quiet with comfortable beds. Condo is a bit dated, but we were gone all day and didn't cook meals, so it really didn't matter. Priced right for the age of the property. Property manager, Mandy, was extremely responsive and considerate. A suggestion is to update the patio furniture and add a lounge chair so guests can relax and enjoy the spectacular setting. Pizza pub on the property was very convenient; great food, amazing variety and a wonderful, friendly wait staff.Thank you for a very nice stay.

We spent a lovely week in Unit 110 at Pali Ke Kua. After reading some reviews, we had a few concerns and contacted Mandy, the manager. She assured us that the previous traveler's concerns had been addressed and corrected. Upon our arrival we were very pleased to see that, as promised, everything was in great shape. Mandy even sacrificed her own hair dryer which was delivered by her husband early in the a.m. to replace the advertised dryer that had apparently checked out with a previous visitor. The location of the unit is ideally situated next to the paved footpath which leads directly to the private beach. The Pizza Hideaway is across the street and food was great. Foodland grocery store is very conveniently located near the entry to the resort area. The condo unit had Foodland loyalty cards on the kitchen counter with the extra keys. The unit was clean, well equipped and in a beautiful location. We spent most of our days on the north shore. Hanalei is a short drive away, Queens Bath is very close as is Anini Beach.

Beautiful views and nice home. Great access to the beach for snorkeling! The internet wasn't working when we first arrived and Lori did everything she could think of to resolve it as quickly as possible. We appreciated Lori's urgency in resolving it for us since we work from our computers wherever we are. She compensated us by giving us some money back for our stay without our asking. The bed was comfortable and we had all kitchen items that we needed. Recommended improvements would be AC and the standard agreement given needs updates and the manager was unwilling to make those. Since we are in business having an accurate agreement is important, but luckily we didn't have any issues. Overall a pleasant experience.

The condo was easy to find and in a great location. The view was amazing. It had convenient parking. It was relatively quiet. There was a private walkway to the beach, although very steep and long, the scenery was beautiful. It was close to Hanalei with several beaches there as well as providing the private beach and Hideaway beach right beside the private beach. There was no air-conditioning but it wasn't needed with the slats on both sides of the condo. The breeze would blow right through and keep it cool. We appreciated the availability of the washing machine. There were numerous restaurants around but only one within walking distance. There is a grocery store close. The community of Princeville is very quaint. We would love to come back to this area!

This was our ninth time staying at Pali Ke Kua. We have stayed at 7 properties. This one was a big disappointment. We were give the wrong access code and luckily reached a person after hours. It was very cheaply done: shower curtain, kitchen utensils. we were given one role of toilet paper for a 15 day stay.

This rental is what you might expect if you want is a well located, quite, beautiful beyond words kind of place. Not too fancy but it suits being able to relax with an amazing view while you begin and end each day. Plenty of cookware to do your own cooking, BBQ down the path only. Lots of towels, the bed is super comfy. The only bad thing is if you happen to have neighbors in the unit directly above. We've stayed a few times and have had 2 quite neighbors (during most of the time) and one loud. And I don't believe it's the persons fault it's the way the units are designed. For example, if they flush the toilet you will hear it like a waterfall it's kind of loud, especially throughout the night. We do our best to block it all out, bring earplugs, the last folks were very respectful given these conditions so it all depends on who you get. But the unit, when quiet, is really amazing and wonderful. The sunsets are stunning. Lots of sites nearby. Definitely need a car.

The unit was clean, quiet, had a great view, and essential amenities. Pali Ke Kua is about an hour from the South shore activities. This condo and location was one of the very best rentals we have stayed at. We have been to Hawaii seven times in the past 8 years and our first visit to Kauai. Mandy was excellent to work with to book the rental and it's just as described and shown in the photos. We especially enjoyed the quiet location, the spectacular sunsets, the pool, and the beach access. We snorkeled several times at the Pali Ke Kua beach (Hideway Beach)that is accessible from the condo and saw lots of fish and several turtles. We appreciated the new patio furniture that was very recently updated from the online photos. The weather was wonderful and we used the beautifully maintained pool every afternoon at the end of the day. The landscaping at the condo is beautiful and well maintained by very friendly staff. We enjoyed this location and condo so much that we didn't travel much around the island because it was so relaxing to hang out here. We hiked or went for a long walk every day in the morning and this location provides great access for some spectacular walks/hikes - don't miss a walk down to the old Hanalei Club Med location that no longer exists. It's a beautiful walk with some spectacular views. We went on a dinner cruise with Captain Andy's out of Port Allen to see the Napali Coast. The crew, skipper, boat, food, drinks, and scenery were all amazing and we highly recommend this trip. We saw lots of whales during the trip and the skipper was great! This was a wonderful vacation and truly a great condo and location! Thank you, Mandy!

Wonderful place! Could not beat the view! We had an amazing time for our honeymoon and would love to return in the future. Access to the beach was great and the lanai was the true gem. 10 min walk to Queens Bath was a blessing. Only minor comment would be new more comfortable sheets/blankets/pillows. Mahalo!

Where do I begin....The condo was exactly as I expected it, nice & clean, with an AMAZING VIEW!WIFI was a little bit of a struggle, but went into the local town(Princeville)each day & used it there.Spent two days down by the beach(in front of our condo)which was so nice! Steep walkway down, but worth it all. The beach isn't busy & lots of shady spots to relax with a good book & cooler of snacks. Thank you for providing the cooler & chairs! You might think about replacing a couple of the chairs. One was broken & 2 were really rusty, but we put the beach towels over them & away we went.I would totally recommend a couple staying here. We were here to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary & we absolutely loved it. We are already talking about coming back & staying here again.Thank you!!!!

The location of this condo is unbeatable. The views are outstanding! The condo itself has been updated in places (flooring and part of the kitchen)but other places are in need of updating. For instance, the bathroom needs to be updated desperately. The shower is in bad shape. The bedroom is terrific, the bed is extremely comfortable and the air movement in there is wonderful. I would definitely stay here again because of the location. The management company was extremely easy to work with and accommodating. Also, the pool area is great! Lastly, the grounds are beautifully maintained.

We had a great time in 110 Pali ke kua. The view was outstanding and the location on the north shore was very convenient to many outstanding beaches. Unit 110 had a great view but it is time for some updating. The granite in the kitchen was nice but the cupboards are very old . There is a dishwasher that gets used often because of the shortage of plates cutlery and wine glasses. The carpet is old and worn. If you can overlook these deficiencies, you’ll have a great time.

We would love to come back to this cozy condo with the amazing views! We loved the path to the beautiful, private beach. The roar of the ocean was intoxicating. Directions were clear, Lori from management was accessible for any questions, and the condo had pretty much everything we needed (beach chairs, small cooler, beach towels, washer/dryer). The kitchen is well supplied but doesn’t have staples (salt, pepper, oil etc). The location can’t be beat for access to north island beaches and hiking trails. Thank you!!

Exactly as described! Beautiful location with even more spectacular views! Loved the private path to hideous beach! Spent much time relaxing and watching the sunset behind the mountains right on that beach. Also fell in love with Hanalei which is a quick drive from condo. Very nice location with beautiful views. It as great to sit on the lanai and hear the sounds of the ocean and watch the spectacular sunsets. Condo was very liveable and the pop out dining area with a view of the ocean was great. The on-site restaurant was a pleasant surprise and had surprisingly good pizza and excellent mai-tai's. Communication with management was easy and info supplied was thorough. The only negative was that the bedroom carpet could use a thorough cleaning. We would stay again.

A working vacation in Paradise! Since we had to work I couldn’t imagine a better place to wake up to and work from. Great location, convenient to so many things, great path to beach. We watched the sunset every night… the stars, and the rainbows!! Not updated or fancy, tight kitchen and could use more comfortable furniture But! the bed was good and Lori the property manager couldn’t be more accommodating and helpful. A great stay… we’ll be back.

We loved our stay at Pali Ke Kua. The apartment was perfect for the 2 of us for a week and we spent many hours on the little patio enjoying the view of Hanalei Bay while reading a book or drinking coffee. The location in Princeville is great for enjoying the north side of the island, and Lori was very accommodating with answering questions and giving recommendations.
The one thing I’d say is that the apartment itself is a bit dated and also does not have AC. We just had to keep the windows open and fans on and we perfectly comfortable. To us the view, location, and price far outweighed that.

Absolutely loved our stay at Pali Ke Kua. View is incredible and price can't be beat for location with lanai. Appliances a bit dated, but functional and saves you money on eating out and laundry. Beach is bit rocky and not great for swimming and little kids. Good for surfing, SUP, and snorkeling, but not for body surfing and playing in waves as it breaks a bit off shore. Bring bug spray as we referred to area as 'mosquito coast'. Complex was quite and has nice amenities with easy parking. Would absolutely book unit again in a heartbeat!!!

We booked three weeks. It is a roomy one bedroom condo with a great location and a spectacular ocean view.
It appears the kitchen and living room have had a recent face lift with simulated wood floors, granite countertops and a large stainless steel sink. The broken microwave above the oven , which showed signs of exterior rusting on the vent, was left in place. A countertop microwave was installed.
It was quite comfortable and superficially clean, but it could use some special attention such as washing the ceiling fans, deep cleaning the stained grout in the kitchen and bathroom, washing the ledges between the windows to remove dead insects.
We enjoyed the convenience of the washer and dryer and a very efficient dishwasher.
Please be cautious when booking and pay close attention to all the extra fees from both VRBO as well as Princeville Vacations. I did not notice the $253 VRBO booking fee, as well as the Princeville Vaction $140.74 proceeding fee, plus the $50 reservation fee.
When I questioned it later, I was accurately told I was charged what was in the contract...so look carefully before a quick decision costs money that could be better spent elsewhere.

What a lovely place to relax. Loved the ocean view and the sound of the waves coming up from the ocean. Hideways Beach is an amazing place just a short walk down the trail. The condo was well maintained and well stocked with everything we needed. The bed was comfortable which is a plus when you are trying to rest. Loved having wi-fi so we could keep in touch with the children back home. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs. The washer-dryer was a big plus after some muddy hikes and long beach days. Hope to return in the future!

This condo was fantastic in terms of view and location. We stayed for 9 nights. We used a local bike rental company that delivered 2 cruisers to ride around the neighborhood and to the Queens Bath, (it is that close). The living area was roomy with a nice TV, where we could watch The Today show every morning. The dining area had two great windows where we could look out at the amazing views while dining. The kitchen was very dated in terms of the appliances. They did not have any skillets or sharp knives. The knives they did have were very dull. The one skillet they had was terrible. It smoked every time we tried using it. The toaster is toast. Thankfully the coffee maker worked nicely. I would recommend a couple of skillets, a good sharp knife for preparing food, a couple more dish towels , a cutting board and a new toaster. This would make it so much nicer to cook a good meal.
We always use VRBO to rent condos everywhere we vacation. We love to buy fresh foods and cook instead of going to a noisy, busy restaurant.
We were grateful they provided some dryer sheets and detergent. This allowed us to wash our sheets and other linens to keep things fresh. Both machines worked very well.
The cell phone service is not good, unless you go to the front of the condo. There is absolutely NO Internet or Wi-Fi, we had to walk to the St Regis Hotel to communicate and send photos using our Ipad.
There are two duck-like birds, maybe Geese that came to our back patio door begging for food. It was so fun to feed them bread. They took right from our hands. They both have leg bracelets and are always together. One bracelet is AAR and the other is 400. We got to be good friends. Maybe you can see them too! There are other birds, so beautiful to have on your back patio where the view is paradise. Every morning we woke up to this view and the sunsets are never-ending. We will always remember this place. ~mahalo~
