Very clean, well equipped condo that is centrally located to discover all that the north shore has to offer. It does have a few stairs to contend with and cooled by air vents. However, the vents work great and there are multiple fans. It is walking distance to 1Hotel for coffee and views. An easy 15 minute drive to Hanalei Bay. The condo itself is very quiet and peaceful. The layout is fantastic and patio felt private. We sat out there for hours watching different birds and geckos. Highly recommend this condo and operator. Mahalo.

This condo is in a great location on Kauai. Close to the best snorkeling and body surfing beaches. The property is comfortable and has some amenities such as beach chairs, snorkeling gear, beach towels, beach umbrella, coolers, and body surf boards. You can go to the beach and stay all day comfortably. If this location is available you’re lucky to get it.

We arrived at the property at 4pm and it was still being cleaned ( check in was at 3pm). The apartment was clean, with everything we needed for cooking. It was hard to see the mountains from the lanai, there were trees in the way, but you do look out onto a grassy area with lots of birds and chickens. The main bedroom upstairs did get really hot in the afternoon but soon cooled down with the AC unit upstairs. We enjoyed our stay there.

It was a nice townhouse unit with 2 beds and 2 baths which is nice for 4 people. It was a great location to the north island and we loved going to all of the various beaches. I kept expecting Mr Roper to walk in the unit.
The unit had nice showers. Lots of Nene's, roosters and chickens and geckos and anoles. The only downside of the property was that about halfway through we started to see the odd cockroach. And then later we had a few found in our bags that were stored in the closets and on the floor. We are very cockroach averse and concerned about them travelling with us now. The unit needs new flooring and updating. Especially with the amount that people are charging for the rentals nowadays.
I understand that it is a tropical jungle area but there are ways to upgrade and better seal the homes from pests.
Overall communication was great and we did enjoy our time in the area.

The condo was adorable. Well stocked with all the essentials. The only negative was the heat. The condo stayed cool at night with the windows and fans going. During the day even with the little a/c unit in the bed room the heat was unbearable from 1030a to 4p. Otherwise very happy with our stay!

Loved everything about this place. Fully and comfortably stocked, great location. Lovely private spot for snorkeling and sunsets. The upstairs bedroom get stifling hot but they have a room AC that is a lifesaver. Everything worked great and the condo is clean, modern and comfortable.

We love bringing our kids here during the Summer! Hideaways beach is one of our favorite spots on the island. The owners of the condo recently updated the decor inside, and it looks great! The owners are very communicative, making the stay that much easier. Hope to be back again next summer. :)

My family enjoyed this condo very much! We loved that it was close to Hanalei! That was our favorite beach and it is such a cute town. The private path, to Hideaway Beach, is a 1/2 mile walk to get to. Very nice beach though.

We had an amazing stay here! The space was clean and spacious and there were two bedrooms each with their own full bathroom. The location is perfect since you can walk to Hideaway Beach and the Queens Bath. Both of these spots were our favorite pet of the trip.

This property was absolutely perfect for our needs! The location can't be beat and the community is quite and well maintained. The condo itself was clean and very well stocked. We especially appreciated having snorkel gear, beach chairs, umbrellas and coolers to take to the beach. I have stayed at many vacation rentals and this is at the top of my list. I have never dealt with more responsive hosts! Laura was truly amazing and responded very quickly to my questions and proactively reached out to us when the cable company notified her know of an outage (not that we even cared! we never even turned on the TV!). Thank you for sharing you beautiful condo with us! We hope we can return again some day and stay longer!

My family loved this property. It was so nice for the kids to be able to run out in the field and chase chickens, geckos and frogs. The bathrooms were very nice. We used the snorkel equipment and beach toys. The pack n play could use a new mattress. The beds were really nice and the ac kept the room cool so we could sleep upstairs.

Property is a great option on the north shore with great beach access. You can walk down a steep paved path and get to a beautiful private beach that never had more than two or three other people at it. The path is steep but is well paved and has several spots to sit and enjoy the amazing ocean views. We even saw whales from the path and enjoyed some amazing sunsets. Home has more than everything you need for a great beach vacation. We loved the beach mats and chairs. Great spot in an nice quiet community with town just a few minutes away.

Everything you need to enjoy your stay is included in the condo. Nice linens, nice kitchen utensils, beach chairs and umbrella and towels, path to a hidden and secluded beach, a restaurant, a pool…..
This is a quiet area of Princeville and you can walk to several different beaches. There is a nice walking/jogging path and shopping nearby. Princeville also has a Saturday farmers market and a Sunday festival. Don’t miss these 2 gems. Hanalei is a short drive from here.
The condo was very clean and very comfortable with a private patio and 2 private bedrooms with bathrooms. Washer and dryer included. Check in was a breeze and the owner communicated everything we needed and gave us nice tips for where to go on our last day as we waited for a late flight.
We will stay again next time we visit Kauai.

We really enjoyed the condo. It is bigger than it looks in the photos. The kitchen had everything we needed. We were able to cook in a few nights which was nice since many of the restaurants had a long wait for a table. It is very close to the pool and jacuzzi. Also, there is a private path down to Hideaways beach. It was nice snorkeling even in the rain.

Condo was perfectly located in a community with great access to walking and ocean. The back of the condo opens to a large green space and the feeling of privacy is throughout. The 2 BR 2 BA condo had everything anyone could ever need from the kitchen, bath to the "water supplies" which were stocked inside and outside. Note - the condo community's private walkway to the hidden beach provides a great cardio burst! While there, contact was made with the point of contact and the responsiveness was very prompt and effective! Planning to return and will definitely stay here again if the dates are available! Layout of this unit was entering on a landing with steps up to 1 BR/BA and steps down to living, kitchen and the 2nd BR/BA . (FYI: physically active Family of 3: Parents plus adult child)

The property was wonderful but I thought I would share a few tips that I would have found helpful during our stay. The upstairs bedroom did get very warm in the summer. I was grateful for the air conditioner, but the limited use was a bit challenging. There is plenty of beach gear in the closet in the downstairs bathroom and in the patio bench. The snorkeling gear was mostly for children. There is one adult mask that did leak. I wish we would have rented snorkel gear for our stay from town. Hideaways beach has fantastic snorkeling opportunities and is about a 10 minute walk. Be careful of the trek down the path, especially if it's muddy. Finally, view the sunsets from the edge of the property facing the ocean. You will be blown away.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, well kept condo. The north shore is my favorite part of Kauai and this is a great place for 2 couples or a family of 4. My wife and I had our two teenage sons with us, and there was enough space between the two bedrooms and pull out sofa bed that we all were very comfortable. The beach chairs and umbrellas, bodyboards and towels were great. I believe previous reviewers mentioned snorkel gear, but we couldn't find any, and that was my only small disappointment. We didn't bother to pack ours thinking some would be there. But everything else was fantastic! I love the convenient parking and the trail to Hideaway Beach is great... although steep, so older guests would likely not do well making the hike back up. It did get warm in the unit being June, but the fans and the A/C in the master bedroom kept us comfortable at night. Lastly, Laura the owner is great! Great communication and easy to book. We loved it! Highly recommend.

I can only paste my response to the owner to describe our experience:
Laura,
I was very disappointed to receive your letter and check, this week. I do not know you or your cleaning company. However, I do know my wife and children. Our family is very honest, caring and hard working individuals. We respect others and their belongings. This is the same way we approached our recent visit to your property. For your cleaning people to state we left the unit "trashed", is a gross misstatement. We took the utmost care to take care and we even went so far as to strip all of the beds and put the linens and towels in one pile in each room, to assist them. The kitchen was cleaned, the floors were swept and all pillows and property was put back in its place. We never removed anything from the property, towels or otherwise, that was not brought back. We did not have a need, because the places we visited had everything we needed. There was a pillow case and sheet that had some food spilled on it. However, it could easily have been washed out. We had a wonderful time and greatly enjoyed the amenities. However, this final result will force me to put a negative response on VRBO, since I do not believe you or your cleaning crew is being honest.

We recently stayed in the condo for 6 nights. It was clean, spacious and conveniently located to everything the North Shore has to offer. We loved that the community pool and a great pizza restaurant were right next door. Plus, you can walk right down to the beach without having to get in a car. As a mom of two kids, I loved having the conveniences of home with a washer & dryer and dishwasher. And the box of beach toys, variety of coolers and beach chairs made going to the beach easy. We would definitely stay here again!

If we could sum up our dream vacation to the beautiful north shore of Kauai in our Pali Ke Kua condo in Princeville it would be: AMAZING! My husband, daughter & I live near the coast but nothing compares to the warm, turquoise blue waters that we swam, snorkeled & kayaked in! As far as our "home away from home", it surpassed our expectations! Clean, comfortable with EVERYTHING we needed. Weather was perfect, even with the intermittant rain! Mahalo a thousand times over to Laura & Nick. We're already thinking about our next trip back.

My family of 4 stayed here for a month with our 2 girls ages 5 and 11. My husband had to work during our stay and the wireless internet connection worked flawlessly-- even during a tropical storm! The condo was perfect, had everything that we needed even pool and beach toys, beach chairs and coolers. While we were there a pizza restaurant opened at the complex too, which was very convenient when we didn't feel like cooking dinner.
The condo is in a great location and is within easy walking distance to 3 beaches-- 2 different sections of Hideaways and the beach at St. Regis. It is also within a longer walk to Queens Bath and a super short drive to Anini and Hanalei.
The girls and I spent our mornings at the beaches and then our afternoons at the pool. The highlights of our stay were jumping from the Hanalei Pier, playing in the tide pools at the beach at the complex, going toad hunting at night and watching meteor showers.
We had amazing weather and within the entire month we had only about 3-4 full days of rain and evening showers while we slept. When there was a threat of a hurricane in the forecast, the owners and the complex manager were terrific and were in constant contact with us, making sure that we were prepared and ok. The hurricane ended up just being a rainy evening, but we were prepared and felt comfortable and safe in the condo.
I highly recommend staying here and we look forward to going back. It was truly wonderful to be able to stay here for an entire month. Thanks Nick and Laura for being a part of our magical summer of 2014!

We were thrilled about staying in Nick and Laura's beautiful condo. It exceeded all of our expectations and was perfect for our family of 6. It was very spacious and we felt right at home. It was nice to have the pool so close and use of the boogie boards, beach chairs and electric BBQ. The walkway to the beach is very convenient and we enjoyed watching the sunset there nearly every night. The lanai was a great place to hang out for breakfast and during the rain. Nick and Laura were extremely hospitable and we could not have asked for better accommodations. We would definitely stay here again!

The condo is beautiful, modern, super clean and includes everything you might need during your stay. The kitchen is fully equipped. It's really a home away from home. Hidden Beach is a 2-minute walk via a beautiful private path. The beach is great for snorkeling and swimming. If you snorkel you will see lots of fish and large turtles.
Hanalei Bay is a must see location and it’s only a ten minute drive from the condo.
It’s a wonderful place to spend a vacation. We highly recommend it!

This is a tastefully-decorated and very well appointed (including lots of water toys!) condo in a perfect location close to Hanalei Bay. It's a short walk thru the complex to the draw-dropping bluff views but the rent is so reasonable. All the arrangements with Laura and Nick were smooth and timely. Comfy beds, lots of quality towels, well stocked kitchen even with some spices and condiments. We hope to be back some day.

My wife and I had a wonderful time in this beautiful home. There are really nice books to read and very comfortable seating for relaxing after a day at the beach or hiking.
