The condo had everything we needed from kitchen supplies to beach supplies. The AC worked perfectly, and we had an easy time with parking and check in. Our absolute favorite part was the view! We saw whales and (many) turtles right off the balcony. The location was central to everything we wanted to do, too.

Unreal view from the deck and bedroom. Waves crashing below. It looked like a turtle aquarium below looking down from the deck and from the pool deck. Also saw whales and dolphins. The views from this property are A.MAZ.ING!!! The location of the property is perfect. You can walk to restaurants and beaches. Turtles galore!! Very accommodating for 4 people. Condo was exactly as advertised, pictures and descriptions are 100% accurate. Clean with enough room for 2-4 people. Breakfast on the balcony, watching the waves, turtles, and sometime dolphins was awesome. The sounds of the waves crashing below was incredible. A light sleeper may choose to use the back bedroom. Both bedrooms have wall mounted air conditioning units, plus another for the main living area. We could not see staying here without the air conditioning - it was breezy, but the direction of the wind would not have cooled the condo. Trade winds will not reduce the humidity, no matter what anyone says…5 stars for A/C. Overall, Sampada was a great host, the condo was as advertised and the location was perfect. Also having a full washer and dryer in the unit was a big plus. Note…parking can be extremely tight, if renting a large SUV, just stick to the upper parking area, still tight but less cars. We will be back next time we travel to Kauai.

Sam was a great host. She made sure we got into the condo, checked mid-week to make sure everything was going well and finally as we were leaving. The condo is very clean and easily walkable to Poipu Beach, the shopping center and local coffee. Additionally, the kitchen is well stocked. The balcony was perfect to watch turtles surf in the waves and we'd usually seek 2 pods of dolphins early in the morning. I'd caution anyone staying there that parking can be difficult. With the large SUVs trying to fit into small spaces, it can be challenging to find a spot large enough and then get in or out of the vehicle. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

My wife and I loved our stay at Sampada's beach condo. The first thing we noticed (and fell in love with), was the spectacular view. We will miss hearing the waves crash and watching the turtles swim from the lanai. This unit is in walking distance to the beach. Plus, we liked how the entire island was accessible for a quick day trip whether it was to Waimea Canyon or Hanalei. Thank you for the great stay and we'd love to come back again!

Just book it! The location and view from this condo are just incredible. Walking distance to the beach and a few casual restaurants. The view is full on ocean with waves crashing and turtles swimming. The pool is lovely. The whole complex is lovely and while it appeared to be full, it never felt crowded and was very quiet. Condo was very clean and well equipped with beach gear, coolers and well stocked kitchen. The only negative is the decor and furnishings are dated but you’ll look past all that once you see the view!

I'm almost reluctant to say how great this property and Sampada, its owner, are from fear that it won't be available when I went to stay again. The only thing some folks might want to consider is that you can really hear the crash of waves even at night with windows closed. I loved this but understand that others might not.

This condo is the most perfect place for a Kauai vacation. The spectacular view is what makes this place so special. Everything about this condo is perfect. Wake up each morning to the beautiful ocean view and sound of waves crashing. The condo is fully equipped with everything you need from beach chairs, snorkelling gear, fully equipped kitchen, ac in every room, good wifi, perfect space for two couples or a family. 5 min walk to the beach and restaurants. Beautiful weather in the sunny south Poipu. This place is a dream!

Our overall impression is WOW! There were four ladies in our group, and we were able to spread out and were very comfortable. Two baths, two bedrooms. Fans for circulation, with or without the air being on. Great kitchen!! Being the chef for the ladies I was overjoyed with the accessories, pot & pans, etc. Made the trip so much easier. Plus, the Host was very accommodating and was accessible. Very responsive.. Thanks again for allowing us to visit Poipu in style and have the best adventure ever!!

We loved watching whale spouts, spinner dolphins and sea turtles nearly every day from the lanai. Close to Poipu beach and everything else the south shore has to offer.
Kitchen is well equipped and the condo is clean and nicely decorated. The hosts were communicative about a small facility issue that came up. Outside their control, but they still provided a work around and made it right.

This condo was amazing! It was perfect for the 3 of us. Location is perfect. We could easily walk to multiple beaches and restaurants. You can walk a very short distance one way to take amazing pictures of the sunrise. Then you can walk a short distance the other way to take amazing photos of the sunset. We saw whales and turtles every day from our lanai. I plan to stay here when I come back to my favorite tropical paradise!

Within the first few hours of arriving we had already sighted monk seals, turtles, and whales from the balcony. By the time we left a few days later, we had added a dolphin. We were there during torrential rain across the island, but it made for some very dramatic seas.
The condo was clean, spacious, and within walking distance to some popular beaches where turtles and seals were basking. We drove up to the north one day and around to Waimea the next day. Amazing.

This is the most well-stocked condo we have ever stayed in. Plenty of sunscreen, beach supplies, even a cooler. Kitchen ware was top notch -- not the owners' used left-overs like some places. AC worked great. Bed was comfy and there is nothing like the sound of the waves crashing to help you sleep. The host responded immediately to the few questions we had.

This was our second stay at Poipu Shores Resort and we're spoiled now to stay here every visit! There's so much in Kauai to see and do, but it's hard to leave the lanai at 306A. You are so close to the waves crashing on the rocky shore, at times you feel the ocean mist and it's easy to spot the sea turtles. The heated pool is built on the rocky shore and offers spectacular views; don't miss the sunset. Inside this condo you will find everything you need and more. The kitchen is better equipped than mine at home. That mattered to me since I cooked some of our meals. Owner was extremely responsive and attentive. Thanks again for the champagne!

So enjoyed our stay at this beautiful condo. The location is great in a number of ways. It is in close proximity to most everything in Poipu, set back from the street for privacy and peacefulness and just a stones throw from the beautiful Pacific Ocean. We spent our mornings and evenings mesmerized by the pounding surf and catching glimpses of sea turtles swimming just off the rocky shore.
This condo is so well equipped, I can’t think of a single thing not provided for guests.

From pre-arrival to check-out communication with owner was top notch. The condo was well stocked and provided us a nice place to start and end our adventures each day. It was clean and had everything we could have needed. We were able to watch turtles play in the little cove everyday. It was a very easy walk to a calm beach and a great body board beach that had monk seals napping in the sun every time we went by.

My family and I were blessed this past week to stay in an incredible condominium on The island of Kauai. From the moment we drove up to the property, to the moment we left, absolute perfection. Sampada, the owner of the property, was everything anyone could’ve asked for. When we arrived, we saw that she had left us a thank you letter and a bottle of French champagne with two chilled glasses in the refrigerator! She also has a great eye for detail.
From her choices of plate ware, silverware, to furnishings and decor, everything was well thought out. The location, second to none. However, the crown jewel has to be the lanai! Each one of us spent so much time sitting out there watching the waves crash to the rocks… words cannot describe, simply breathtaking. You can practically feel the water splashing. Some of the waves shot up 30+ feet in the air at times after crashing against the coral reefs. We’ve stayed at quite a few places over the years, this is one place that we will definitely return to. There is so much more I could say, highly recommended if you want to experience the majesty of Kauai in complete comfort and awe.

We had a wonderful week-plus vacation at Sampada's condo. Sampada is a terrific host--she checked on us at the beginning and end of our stay (and greeted us with champagne, as others have mentioned). Our family was active in Kauai but enjoyed mornings and evenings on the deck watching and listening to the powerful waves crash up against the rocks below, and we spent many late afternoons playing in the pool and spotting turtles swimming by the shore. We cannot recommend this condo highly enough! What an extraordinary setting.

Poipu Shores is my absolute favorite place to stay while in Poipu and this unit was the best one yet! We had a small issue at checkin but it was resolved quickly and Sampanda continued to reach out to us to make sure we had everything we needed and that we were enjoying ourselves. There was cold water and champagne with chilled glasses in the fridge for our arrival, the unit was spacious and you could tell that a lot of thought went into the updates to the unit. Having A/C in both bedrooms was a huge plus. I’m on Maui now but already miss my Poipu mornings on the lanai watching the turtles swim about and the waves crash into the rocks. You can even see Poipu Beach from this unit! Simply Amazing! Thank you Sampanda, we’ll be back ❤️

We had a great visit at this condo in Poipu. Everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out. The condo is updated and comfortable, with incredible views and the soothing sound of the waves crashing against the volcanic rock. The location is great, with a very easy walk to Poipu Beach for a day at the beach or for having a meal at the local restaurants. We only wish we could have stayed longer and will absolutely look to reserve here again when we return to Poipu.

The place was very nice, quiet, and comfortable. We only stayed 2 nights as we were island hopping, but would definitely stay again for a longer time. It was easy enough to find, as the entrance sign is well lit. The location is good for south island marinas, Waimea Canyon, and many other tourist spots. Enough cannot possibly be said about the view. There is a short walk to the beach, where we saw a sea turtle and monk seal resting.

The view was spectacular and we saw all kinds of turtles swimming in the ocean from the pool area (and a few from the lanai). Property is updated and comfortable with a fully functional kitchen. There were beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella, ice chest and snorkeling gear. The host was very helpful and communicative. We would absolutely stay here again.
The only thing I would caution is that the ocean is quite loud given that the property is right on the water. We loved it but I could see how it could present a potential issue for a light sleeper.

The condo overlooks the ocean with crashing waves on the rocks below. In March, we saw sea turtles, whales and dolphins from the lanai. A short walk to the beach and we snorkeled and saw beached seals and sea turtles. The condo has all the beach necessities including chairs, umbrella, snorkeling equipment and boogie board! Our stay in Unit 306A at Poipu Shores was a dream location. The views off the deck were absolutely stunning with the crashing waves & coastline views with nightly sunsets. We experienced an abundance of whales, turtles & porpoises from the deck. Binoculars are helpful for whale watching. The condo was air conditioned with large windows for viewing the ocean & wonderful sleeping. All the amenities were comfortable & well planned to make our stay exceptional. Sampada, our property manager went above & beyond to answer all our questions & provide for our needs. All was great for handicapped needs at our level. This is a gem of a property. A finger of water cuts into the rocky coastline right in front of this condo unit giving way to views of turtles feeding off the rocks and waves occasionally crashing into the small inlet splashing upwards to 40 plus feet. Great fun just to relax on the lanai.
In addition, the condo was well stocked and had everything we needed and then some. The owner was great at communicating. Checking in was easy too. Would definitely return next time on Kauai.

We booked our trip late in the season and luckily this unit was available. For 5 days we thoroughly enjoyed the location, location, location. The view off the porch is to die for! Waves crashing into the cove below us helped us to chill and get the best sleep in years. Every day we saw turtles swim by, whales breaching and blowing, and the last morning a large pod of dolphins having family day. The sun set in front of the patio so God provided magnificent endings each night. Large well supplied kitchen and the new BBQ grills helped us cook up some great meals. Got Ahi tuna filets from Safeway in Lihue and our son grilled them to perfection using only flake salt and fresh pepper. Nice to have washer and dryer and the A/c units in each room were needed only sparingly. Comfortable beds, a large walk-in shower in the main and both full baths very comfortable to use. The short 5-10 minute walk to snorkeling and turtle watching made each day delightful. The snorkel sets and beach chairs supplied were a great bonus since it saved us $$. Brenneckes was a great place for lunch but would recommend reservations. The Athletic Club was really nice where we did our best to be physical at least for one day. Speaking of price, the rental rate was excellent! Overall, would highly recommend and if we can book we will be back. Thank you Sampada for the outstanding Kauai stay.

Our extended family of 5 adults greatly enjoyed our stay in the condo. The photos don’t do it justice- beautiful ocean view with waves crashing. The accommodations were comfortable for our family. We cooked in and also ate at local restaurants. There are many activities in the Poipu area- we sampled scuba diving and hanging out at the beach. Sampada was a diligent host. Thank you!

We loved our stay at this condo. The view is phenomenal. We could have sat on the balcony all day. The host was accessible, friendly, helpful. The location ideal near swim and snorkel friendly beach, lovely shopping center, restaurants, and cute historic area of Koloa. The condo was well equipped for any cooking that we wanted to do and had some beach supplies, too.

This is the most amazing vacation rental! My family of 5 stayed here and we had the most amazing time! Location is absolutely perfect, with a stunning ocean view that is 2nd to none. Short walk to two beautiful beaches and close to everything you need. The host is wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed and was quick to respond. This place is fully stocked with everything you would need to be your home away from home. I will absolutely be staying here again in the future! Can’t wait to come back!

This property exceeded our expectations in every way. The condo was immaculately clean and was beautifully and comfortably furnished. That being said, the piece de resistance was the view and what a view it was. Waves crashing on the rocks no more than 50 feet away was powerful, soothing and beautiful to behold. There was nowhere closer to the beauty of the Pacific than this unit. Our host maintained precise communication with us before, after and during our trip. We were greeted by a bottle of lovely champagne and two chilled glasses in the spotless refrigerator when we arrived with a personal greeting from our host. This was a kind and gracious touch that topped off a perfect VRBO experience. For anyone thinking of a phenomenal Hawaii vacation, do not waste a minute and have a magical Kauai experience!

The deck had a fabulous view. We watched turtles daily. Even had a pod of dolphins swim by. Condo was clean and spacious. Sampada was great to work with. As a treat we found a bottle of champagne waiting for us in the fridge. This was a great location in poipu. Absolutely would rent again.

The place is just as described with the amazing view right on the beach. Prior to the trip the host provided detailed information on check in process and she was friendly and responsive throughout the trip. The place was clean and all the bathroom and kitchen basics were provided. On top of that there are in-unit washer and dryer with detergent and working AC! I wished I stayed longer and I definitely will come back. Highly recommended!

We couldn't have had a better stay! The condo was beautiful and the kitchen had everything we could possibly need! The location is so conveniently located to a kid beach, a body surfing beach, snorkeling and surfing that are within close walking distance and the balcony overlooks crashing waves and many turtles! The pool is gorgeous with an amazing view over the cliffs! Can't wait to return!

Such a wonderful few days at this property - My sisters and I thoroughly enjoyed our time spent here.
Gorgeous views- Ocean waves crashing right below our balcony!
Clean, spacious bedrooms and living room area. Nice air conditioning and fans.
Note: Second bedroom cooling unit was a fan but was still comfortable.
We were not able to visit the Athletic Club as we were out exploring the island all day but it felt like such a blessing to return after a long day to our comfortable rooms to relax and fall asleep to the sounds of the waves.
Issue with clothes washer but property manager Sampala was quick to respond to all of our concerns and even offer restitution.
Hope to return to this amazing property again someday soon!

We just returned from one of the best vacations our family has ever experienced. The flexibility, communication and responsiveness of the owner provided the comfort that comes with professional management. The Athletic Club included in the booking provided a new place to swim and get food and beverage service poolside while engaging in activities such as tennis, pickle ball and morning yoga. We took many walks in both directions with countless beaches offering everything from strong surf to snorkeling coves safe for young ones to swim. Easy to spot sea turtles and manta rays from our lanai and onsite salt-water pool were a huge highlight to the location. There are beach towels, boogie boards, sand toys and 4 Tommy Bahama beach chairs to use that allow you to make the most of your fantastic location. We would put a pork shoulder in the crockpot in the morning and serve BBQ sandwiches to a hungry family with ease upon our return. The blender was also fun for creating frozen drinks. Oh, and there is a safe to lock up valuables while you are away. Book this property, you won't regret it.

Beautiful view, so close to the ocean you hear it all night long. Saw turtles every day from the lanai. Easy walk to nearby beaches where we saw more turtles and monk seals. Condo well equipped with glasses, plates, pots, pans, etc. Second bedroom did not have a/c, which was ok even though it was hot. Unfortunately, there is a security light for the walkway right outside that room that bothered my (adult) children while sleeping. Blackout blinds would be a great addition here. Also, lanai does not have great chairs or a lounger, which would have been more useful than the two taller chairs. I'd stay here again easily.
