The condo has such a nice breeze pouring through as it is open on three sides with so many windows and vaulted ceiling with great light. The views of lush gardens are very pleasant and you can even see a peak of ocean. Very close to the beach so you can easily head down and pop back to the condo as needed. Location is also in the heart of Poipu so close to everything like markets and restaurants.
Bedrooms are roomy and the two bathrooms are very nice. Main bedroom has great views of a large lawn and gardens.
While finishes are a bit older, everything is in working order and seems well kept.
What a splendid spot to spend time on Kauai. This is such a great property I'd stay here again in a heart beat.

We thoroughly enjoyed this condo for our celebration of marriage. Our adult kids and families stayed in other 2 BR units at Kiahuna (not as nice as ours), and our condo was the home base for meals together. The upstairs living area is spacious and very inviting. The owner was responsive to any questions we had. We highly recommend this unit!

This rental was the perfect home base for our family vacation in Kauai. The condo was well stocked, spacious, and knowing we had a washer and dryer in the unit, we were able to pack light. The provided beach umbrella, boogie boards, and surfboard made our time on the beach so fun!... definitely recommend this property for families. Very quiet grounds and lanai. Kirk was very accommodating and responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

Our fifth trip to Kiahuna plantation, first time in a 2-bedroom unit. Location was easy walk to beach, close to new BBQ units, and beautifully landscaped. The bedrooms and bathrooms are downstairs with the kitchen & living upstairs. We knew this, but found it to be a lot of up and down for a 75+ year old man with a bad hip. Otherwise, maintenance quickly addressed a few small issues we had. Beds were comfy and as always, the roosters made sure we didn't sleep in!!!

A very comfortable and clean unit in Kiahuna Plantation. Walk to the beach on paved walkways. Nice grounds and more space and lovely gardens around the units - unlike the nearby hotels. Kitchen was well equipped with pots, pans, utensils. (but not much in the way of spices and cooking supplies .... which was to be expected) Includes use of the pool and gym across the street, a nice bonus! Quiet and peaceful at night. We enjoyed our stay.

We first visited Poipu's Kiahuna Plantation in 2009 and really enjoyed our stay. When planning a visit for summer 2022, we knew we wanted to stay at this condo complex again. This time, we came with our 2 adult children and 80 year old mom.
We stayed in a 2 story condo unit- 2 bedroom/2bath downstairs; kitchen and a spacious dining/living room upstairs. All rooms had fans and louvered screened windows for ventilation - no AC but we were comfortable with the steady breeze. The windows do let in a fair amount of noise (sprinklers, roosters, people) - light sleepers should be aware. The beds in the bedrooms were very comfortable. With 5 in our party, one had to sleep on sofa bed upstairs which was less comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with basic necessities, and we were able cook meals. Gas barbecues are available nearby. Our unit is close to parking but not subject to road noise. It was a 3-minute walk to the ocean. There are lots of plants and lawn around.
The location of the complex is central to the south coast of Kauai and convenient. ~25 minutes to Lihue (airport, Costco, Safeway). There is a small shopping center across the street with restaurants, clothing, jewelry, souvenirs + a general store (food, sundries). A few minutes west there is another larger center with more restaurants and shopping.
The Poipu Athletic Club is across the street and guests at the condo have access privileges. The club has a great family friendly pool, tennis courts, fitness center, grass volleyball + restaurant. Free towels for use at the club are included.
The Kiahuna Planation also provides free towels to checkout at the beachfront rental station (they also offered boogie boards and snorkels for rent).
We enjoyed the location and amenities at Kiahuna Plantation - it was a great home base for our week in Kauai.

this was a great place for my family to stay. easy access to the beach and large grounds for my kids to explore. Also walking distance to lots of good restaurants and shopping.
The only draw back was the noisy sprinklers woke us up every night. I guess it is the price to pay for great landscaping.

I’ve been coming to the kiahuna for almost 40 years and it has a timeless beauty that does not change with time. We love this particular unit for our family of four… the proximity to LittleFish Coffee, the Poipu Athletic Club, the pool and the beach. The sea turtles were particularly magical this year, and our kids were older and up for some bigger adventures (ziplining!). Thankful to the owner for maintaining such a clean, lovely property and being so responsive to communication. Every time we are able to go is a blessing and a gift!!

This condo was perfect for a family of 4. The location was great making it easy to travel either way on the island. Grounds were beautiful and the towel/chair check out so convenient. Adequate dishes, cookware etc. Comfortable beds. The pool is amazing and fairly quiet which we so nice. And the food at the pool is delicious. ( *the only thing we didn't check on when we rented this was that it doesn't have AC so it was quite balmy and tropical at night. ) Over all a wonderful place to stay for a family!

We really enjoyed our time in ye olde Unit 140 at Kiahuna Plantation. It was a great fit for our family with 3 adults and 2 kids. The living space upstairs is really open with decks on both the north and south sides of the unit so you could get nice airflow (no A/C), the vaulted ceilings really made it feel spacious. The downstairs floor has the bedrooms and bathrooms. It's was great to hang on the deck and see the sun and stars. There's a tiny view of the water and it's a quick walk to the beach. Kiahuna is immaculately maintained and lush. Access to the Athletic Club is a nice — a good spot for the kids to play in the pool while adults ate/drank/talked. Do note: it is across the street so it's not part of Kiahuna Plantation (and many other folks are members).
Overall, this unit was great. If I had a quibble, the hide-a-bed couch upstairs wasn't particularly comfortable. But that's minor -- perfect spot and Poipu is a ton of fun!

Hi, we loved the unit. However, our main annoyance was that the primary bedroom showers did not drain well. Every shower ended with a couple of inches of water in it. We suspect it was sand but we’d think there could be a way for the property management to address that. Otherwise, it was great!

Great condo overall and it worked well of our family of four on a week long vacation to Popui. We loved the condo layout and everyone was very pleased with the condo accommodations and comfort. All of the amenities of the Kiahuna Plantation and Popui Beach Club also made it amazing stay. We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay and Kirk was a wonderful host. We plan to visit again in the future and we are hopeful this condo will be available.

The size of the complex was daunting initially, but once we settled in the suite everything was peaceful. Kirk has a very nice setup for a family. Lovely open living area on the upper floor with peaceful garden and peekaboo ocean views. We spent quiet evenings on the lanai watching stars fall. The unit is equipped with beach equipment and plenty of gear for the smallest travellers. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you Kirk!

Grounds were immaculate, wonderful staff- cleaned outdoor grills everyday, beautiful surroundings, location- short walk to ocean beach and swimming pool, plenty of parking, an hour away from west and north shore. Communication with Kirk was very easy. The unit was split in 2 levels- made for great spaces to just enjoy the place. Great front and back decks. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was made for cooking- otherwise good restaurants across the street. Would stay here again-Poipu Beach area is brings out the kid in you!

First big trip since Covid. As you need tests/vaccines to even get on the plane, everything felt very well run. Once at the condo, we settled right in. It was a very comfy home base for our 5 days and we would have loved to stay longer. The pool is about a 7 min walk away. they have some of the best lunch around. The beach is to die for, esp in Kauai, which can super rocky beaches. The house it self was well set up. If you are looking to watch Football or something like that, be warned, the TV is tiny. We didn't care, thats not what we were there for. One thing to note: there is no AC. The windows take care of this, if you are too hot a cool shower fixes this and then you are fine. But that being said, you have to be careful about closing all the windows/sliding before you go to bed or you will be wakened early but sprinklers (4am) and then just all the families running around with their early risers. Close the everything up and you are just fine!

I have travelled to Kiahuna Plantation for 45+ years. Came as a child and now bring my family often. Unit 140 is a great condo with a great location. It is a quiet end unit that is a quick walk to the beach. Kirk, the owner, is wonderful to work with and booking with him was effortless. We had a wonderful time for our 2 weeks in his unit.

The only challenge was being able to use the kitchen as there were no staples provided (due to COVID cleaning procedures). Fortunately, Kirk was excellent at communicating and helped us prepare for our stay.

We’ve stayed at kiahuna for years and love the location and old school feel of the property. There is no A/C so pick your location appropriately. This unit was an end unit that faced east, so most of wind is directly into unit. Makes a big difference versus the middle units. Even with a good cross breeze we utilized the fans in unit 24/7. Bare minimum kitchen/cleaning items but wasn’t an issue, a quick run to big save solved the issue. Kiahuna in general is not a 5* luxury property. It’s dated and has its drawbacks, but I wouldn’t stay anywhere else on Kauai

Due to Covid, we had to continue our Hawaii trip several times. Kirk was very accomodating all the way, quick to respond to questions, reached out and checked in, etc. The property is great, with everything you need. We would definitely book here again.
