Loved our stay, great property in a wonderful location. The beach was so nice it made it hard to leave to go exploring. We were skeptical about the athletic club pool but ended up loving it there. Great poolside service and perfect for families with kids of any age.

Kiahuna is a beautiful complex and this unit is conveniently located near the castle office and laundry. We had everything we needed including the local daily newspaper delivery. We enjoyed our stay here and hope to return soon!

Before I praise the property, I'll note 2 brief negatives. First, there is a resort cleaning fee we were not expecting of about $270. That was administered by the property itself, not the owner, and it was a sting. Second, the door lock was really finicky. We found ourselves locked out upon arriving near midnight, and security had to come help us. After that, it took numerous swipes to get the keycard to work. Security said they're going to update the readers soon, and it was kind of a hassle the whole time. BUT READ ON! Those two small annoyances aside, this is an absolutely fantastic property and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The location itself is right on fantastic beaches, and there are several good places to eat nearby, whether walking or a short drive. This unit in particular had a perfect lanai - just enough trees shielded it from view and it faced the grass and mountains. This meant the ocean wind did not scream into our unit, even during a few vicious rainstorms. Yet the slatted windows throughout provided excellent ventilation and a marvelous island experience. It was a joy to wake with chirping birds and roosters in the morning (though you may sometimes hear the maintenance people start their day if you're a light sleeper). The unit was also well stocked with both beach and kitchen supplies, which saved us a ton of money. We cooked at least one meal every day, including using the nearby grills several nights. This one is a winner. Enjoy it.

As advertised, just a short walk to the beach. Beautiful place to watch the sunset right out on the lawn. Also fun to watch the surfers. Was a great homebase for exploring the entire island. Turtles and monk seals at Poipu beach were fun to see. Put a little bit to get used to windows with no glass and how to set the shutters for the best cooling effect.

Plantation is beautiful and the beach is outstanding! Loved the beach hut that provided chairs and towels. Our unit was well stocked and we really appreciated the beach umbrella! Nice and quiet, would definitely stay here again. Only complaint would be there are no sponges?!?! Makes cleaning hard

The Condo is lovely--faces a wonderful view of lawn and flowering trees. Our only concern was the location directly across from the housekeeping and maintenance operation which is quite noisy--especially as they begun their day early in the morning.

This is a great unit. Very private. The sunset was incredible on the patio. Very very very well stocked. We used both the coolers every day. And some of the gear. And the kitchen was wonderfully stocked. No need for air conditioner here. Great beeeze coming through all the louvers. I would’ve given it 10 stars.

Our family had a wonderful time! Condo has everything you need for the beach and water activities. Great location, we walked to the beach and pool everyday with 2 small kids. The complex is great for families, plenty of green space for the kids to run and the beach is right there. We loved our stay!

Cons: - Our internet was down the entire visit which was a bit of a bummer. The tech came out our first morning and new hardware is needed so hopefully this is corrected for the next guest. (The tech was terrific though!) - Our door lock was inoperable our first day and another tech was sent to repair it. We had no issues afterwards. - Little things: fan batteries were dead/no coffee filters/small bathroom Pros: - It definitely offers the quaint, beach feel while being very clean and spacious (especially for two people)! - The updates that have been done are a wonderful touch. - It's a terrific space to wind down in. It was never too hot and we enjoyed making dinner and eating on the patio on multiple nights. - Very quiet spot and a great place to hear birds, rain or just let the wind sift though all day. - The proximity to the beach is a short three minute walk, the gym is just across the street, the Hyatt is a five minute drive away, and the Living Foods shopping center is a great hub which is also very nearby. We loved our stay tremendously and are looking forward to returning to this exact location soon. Anyone would be lucky to book here so get on it! It books fast for a reason!

This property was pretty much at listed, although I expected a little more from the "recently remodeled" statement (carpet not in new condition and stove/oven not in new condition.) But the location was accurate. At 3:00 check-in, they were still cleaning the condo (responsibility of Castle Resorts, not the owners).

Bathroom was weird... toilet faced the tub, so very little space. Loved being upstairs; great breeze came through! But too far from the beach, and only garden view. Will not rent this one again.....only because I want to have an ocean view next visit to Kauau!

We have always enjoyed this property with it's beautiful trees and lawn with direct access to the ocean. We have stayed in several different units and this may be our favorite. Nicely decorated, very well equipped and plenty of places to hang clothes and put things away. It's an upper floor, end unit and feels pretty private even with a unit next door and below. Only downside is no ocean view. We were fine with the view and enjoyed the relative privacy. We easily walked to the water with our morning coffee. And the rate is more reasonable than units with an ocean view.

Thank you for sharing your lovely condo! I felt at home, and began to relax and enjoy my vacation immediately. The recent remodel shows off the condo to its advantage in lighting and airiness allowing the ocean breezes to gently drift threw. The view from the lanai was stunning of the garden, which I enjoyed every morning while drinking my Chai. A variety of bird species would often join me hopping about the lanai, from sparrows, Mourning doves, red-crested Cardinal, Laughing Thrust, and roosters in the distance. The condo was filled with everything one could need during their stay. The kitchen was supplied with every culinary tool, having been a chef for over 10-years I appreciated this greatly. The BBQs on property are easy and convenient with several located throughout the Plantation. The closet was filled with surf & boogie-boards and an array of children's beach toys, as well as numerous books to choose from about the area and culture. I brought my iPad and was able to use the Wi-Fi to listen to my Hawaiian music on Pandora. I also brought several movies and used the TV DVD player. In recent years, Poipu has blossomed in that it has everything one would need, amazing food, shopping, great locations to snorkel, and stunning morning walks (from the Kiahuna Plantation along the beach to the Grand Hyatt passed historical Hawaiian fishing shores; about a 2 hour walk round trip). Directly across the street is Poipu Shopping Village where there is a Starbucks and sundry store called Whalers Market that carries alittle of every thing if you don't want to drive to Lihue or Ka'paa. They also have two great restaurants: Keoki's and Roy's. I still prefer to grocery shop at Safeway in Ka'paa, but purchase specialty items at Living Foods at the Shops at Kukui'ula, where they have an amazing selection of fresh fish caught only hours previously, such as Sea Bass, Mahi Mahi, Ahi tuna, & Ono. They have delicious home-made sauces (Romesco & pesto) and spreads (hummus) that go perfectly with fresh local fish. If you don't feel like cooking, just steps away are Bubba's burgers, Josseline's Tapas (great sangrias), Tortilla Republic, and Merriman's. Capt. Andy's 2-hour sunset cruise (a must!), dinner at Red Salt (try the Red Coral Martini), Beach House for snorkeling if you want to swim with Sea-turtles also the restaurant is great for romantic sunset cocktails or dinner. Well if you have read this far you know what I did on this trip! ~ Aloha & Mahalo!

We loved your condo at Kiahuna Plantation, it has a beautiful setting looking out over the gardens from the second level. We were so close to the long beautiful beach and were able to see whales from the shore while we were watching the beautiful sunset every night. The condo was beautiful and so close to shopping and great restaurants in the Poipu area (usually sunny and warm). The monk seals love beaching themselves on the sandy beach and were amazing to observe. So much fun, we would recommend this condo to anyone seeking to spend time on the beautiful laid back island of Kauai.

Our family (me, wife, two daughters) enjoyed a truly wonderful week-long holiday this summer. We strongly recommend it. The location and setting were perfect for us. The weather was great: warm, sunny, breezy, with only a few brief rainshowers in the entire week. We found the unit to be well equipped and tidy. This unit afforded us a lovely setting for breakfasts on the patio/porch, complete with the mesmerizing rustle of palm fronds. We appreciated the walking distance to pool, tennis courts, and beach. We hadn't expected the pool to be so much fun but our girls appreciated the water slide and ended up spending hours in and around the pool in addition to bodysurfing at the beach right at Kiahunna Plantation. This location was central to many of the top restaurants, including Josselin's, Red Salt, and Casa Di Amici. We found the best exotic drinks at sunset at Brennecke's. And Lappert's ice cream is a must. All in all, we had a terrific vacation and strongly recommend this unit to families or couples seeking a sunny, relaxing getaway.
