This was the second time we’ve stayed at Kiahuna Plantation, and the first in this unit. The location of this unit for the price can’t be beat. You are steps away from the beach, and have the most lovely view from the lanai. We loved our days at the beach and getting to relax and unwind at night and look out onto the water, up at the stars, and hearing the sound of the ocean. It was easy to relax and unwind here. We had one maintenance issue but this was quickly addressed. We travelled with our kids, and we all loved this spot. It was hard to come home. We would love to come back one day!

Fantastic beach front condo in Koloa. Easy access to water for swimming, snorkeling, lounging and exploring the island. Condo was fully equipped and comfortable. Beach chairs, ice chests and noodles were in the unit to use for our days at the beach. The open kitchen and outdoor lanai was perfect. The view from the lanai was the main attraction. Just breathtaking!

The location is great - close to the ocean and close to the other units where other family members were staying. Air conditioning in the bedrooms appreciated - a little warm upstairs for the 2 teenagers sleeping up there. The dishwasher filter needed cleaning badly - we cleaned it a bit but this is obviously a property-wide problem because other family unit had the same problem.

The condo exceeded our expectations. The listing pictures, especially of the view, didn’t do it justice. It was so nice to have an entire home instead of a hotel room. The grounds are wonderful and the location can’t be beat. Hope to make it back soon.

The condo was lovely. Great views of the beach. Minor issues: washing machine was not working, nob on stove was broken and the microwave was acting a bit wonky. None of these issues were able to be fixed while we were there but this was only a minor inconvenience. I would say the location of this condo was almost perfect - biggest issue was that it was right next to a small stretch of more public beach /public parking and there were several instances of people and vehicles being very loud at night. Utensils in kitchen were typical for a rental and there were very few "normal" sized bowls (i.e. no real cereal bowls...). Could have used a few more family games - the few that were there were either incomplete or not family friendly for younger kids. Loved sitting on the balcony in the morning drinking coffee :)

Ron's place was everything and more. Beautiful views from the Lanai looking right at the ocean. Clean, well appointed condo meeting all our needs. The Planation has beautiful gardens, clean like-new grills, and gorgeous beach and lawn to lounge and enjoy the water and views. Be sure to visit the available workout and pool facility, which were just as spectacular.

The location was exceptional. The view from the condo was perfect for our family. We felt like we were on the beach even as we sat on our deck. Our only negatives were some maintenance issues however on the plus side these issues were responded to immediately. All in all it meet our hopes for a beach condo. Aloha

We have been coming to Kiahuna for over 40 years, first with our kids, and now with grandkids. Two of our three kids were married here. So, we love it. The property is old, and some elements of the units are deteriorating. Despite that, we loved it.
The grounds are spectacular and the big lawn is a great place to for the kids to play. Kiahuna is well located with lots of beach options. The pool is a bit of a walk but again, a great pool for kids, with a super water slide.
I love the fitness facility, which now includes a big TRX feature. In my experience the gym was never too busy, and it is great to work out, with the soft tropical breezes cooling you, rather than AC.
We feel the same about the units. Ours did not have AC but it was a corner unit, and with all the slats open, it was very comfortable, and better, in our view, than AC.
We are looking forward to coming back.

We’ve stayed a few times at Kiahuna Plantation but the first time staying in this unit. By far the best location with the ocean just steps away. We loved having morning coffee and evening cocktails on the lanai overlooking the ocean. Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean at night was so peaceful. The unit is laid out perfectly and suited our family of 6 wonderfully. Absolutely no complaints and hope we can stay here again in the future.

We were so pleased with our stay in this unit. Location is absolutely the best!
Staff at this place were all very friendly and helpful. It’s a clean spacious unit with well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. No a/c but weather is cool during evenings so no real need for one. We were there in March and always had a nice breeze from the ocean.
Parking is not assigned but there’s no shortage of spots!

This property is part of the Kiahuna Plantation resort. It is a beautiful resort. The resort is kept in very good condition (grounds maintenance, etc.). This is our third stay at the resort and it is always a great experience.

Kids loved the across street aquatic center. It’s a nice little walk away.

This is our second time staying in this unit and we can’t wait to return. The two bedroom layout works incredibly well. The upstairs kitchen/dining area is very spacious. The kitchen is well equipped as well. It’s super close to the beach. The washer/dryer is a huge bonus! No complaints!

Over all the condo was great. Location amazing. We would of liked a TV in the 2nd bedroom. Also there was a water damage smell in the hall bathroom. There was repair work and paint job that was done horribly.

Our stay at Ron’s condo was absolutely fantastic from start to finish! Ron was so communicative and helpful. The condo exceeded our expectations in every way. The access to the beach and the amenities at the resort and the near by athletic club were wonderful. We even caught two of luau shows at the nearby Sheridan from the fantastic viewpoint of the upstairs lanai. We would absolutely book this property again in a heartbeat. I booked this property for its beachfront location. The beach is stunning. However, my experience staying at this particular unit was all downhill from there. First, there was a long wait for checkin because the resort office takes only one group at a time, starting at 3 p.m. when all new arrivals wait at the office. Next, the unit itself was okay -- the kitchen is bright and clean but the living room furniture is old and musty. I could not lean back into the couch because it smelled awful. The bathrooms had not been thoroughly cleaned--for example, there was still used soap in the shower from the previous guest. The downstairs (where the bedrooms are) just smelled dank and was dark. One of the bathroom sinks did not drain properly. A lot of the beach gear--such as the beach chairs and umbrellas--was rusty and/or broken. The beach towels in the unit smelled like they had not been washed for years. The screen door to the beachfront balcony got stuck and off track all the time. The sliding door by the kitchen did not lock.
All of these things I could tolerate--this is a beach condo that is subject to the salt, sun, and wind year round after all. But the biggest issue for me was the major construction that started right around the middle of our stay. We were told (not by the host/owner who booked this property with us, by the way) by the resort management that repairs were needed following an inspection of the property that yielded the need for "emergency repairs" to the foundation of the building and critically, about which the property owners were on notice weeks prior. Again, no one gave us any notice until the day before the repairs began. When the repairs started, a whole construction crew were sawing, hammering, pounding, drilling into the bottom floor exterior of the unit and it was extremely loud, emitted tons of dust and concrete, and certainly was not habitable. So much for a peaceful and tranquil beachfront experience. When I complained to the host, I was told I could leave the unit or go to Starbucks for some quiet. The construction crew even had to go into the unit to ensure that the rebar they were using was not punching into the unit walls.
Needless to say, we couldn't stay there, and even one crew person said no one should be in the buildings during the pendency of these repairs. I had to scramble to book a room at the Sheraton next door, and paid through the nose for it, for my family's safety.

My wife and I stayed at this amazing condo with our 10-month-old baby for our first family vacation. The condo is large, well appointed and has great natural light and views of the beach. The pictures don't do this place justice - the space felt much larger than expected, the furniture was super comfortable and the views from the Lanai were incredible. With a baby adjusting to a new time zone (and some serious humidity), we ended up having to stay at the condo more than expected, but it didn't matter because even inside the living room, we felt like we were at the beach. No AC during the peak summer heat and humidity made daytime naps tough for the little one, but it cooled down nicely at night with a great cross-breeze.

Lovely property with amazing location. While this place is not cheap there are few rooms at the Sheraton that can compare with the view. Having the large open space and good sized kitchen was everything when travelling with a family.
The beach is quite literally on your doorstep and we enjoyed falling asleep to the sound of the rolling surf. Highly recommend this property.

This was the second time we stayed in this condo. And even though we talked while we were there about staying elsewhere next time, we decided, no, this is our spot. Best location on Kauai. And of all the condo's in the complex this one suits us. A tree blocks the afternoon sun but not the view so sitting on the liana's is so comfortable. And a fifty-yard walk to the beach— what could be better. The condo is well appointed and comfortable. we'll be back!

Beautiful, quiet grounds and the ocean is steps away! Everything on the island is 20 minutes to an hour away which made site seeing really easy. We had a great time and you can’t beat the location! The beach is literally in your backyard. Beach towel and snorkeling equipment around the corner. We loved Little Fish Coffee across the street. Our family spent a lot of time playing volleyball and swimming at the lovely athletic club. Ron was very quick to respond with questions and staff on-site were lovely.

This place is great! Our first morning, we got up and walked to monk seals and turtles. The view from the lanai is incredible, good surfing/boogie boarding right in front, and good snorkeling a five minute walk away. The place was well-equipped - good kitchen supplies and good beach supplies. It had everything you need for a great vacation!:)

Kauai is my favorite of all the islands and the this is hands down the best condo we have ever stayed at in Kauai. The location is AMAZING!!! The lanai looks right over the beach and the water is just steps away. My husband and I stayed with my parents (in their 80's) and our 12 year old son. We loved grilling on the BBQ's and the grounds are just beautiful. I had contacted Ron several times before our arrival and he answered all my questions promptly. I hope we are able to rent this condo again!

This property was a perfect location. The beach was great and the pool across the street was awesome! Owner was very responsive. Property had lots of beach toys and chairs. Really my only complaint was that all of the doors and windows were shutters with screens which was great for the breeze but since there were no actual full doors (except on the back patio), it could at times be noisy when putting the kids down for nap or early bedtime. Overall fantastic experience though and would highly recommend!

We were delighted by our experience and loved the condo. The space was updated and very clean. The views of the ocean and sunsets from our balcony lanai were breathtaking. We discovered that the trade winds kept the second-floor cool by opening the glass doors on opposite ends. We had everything we needed to cook; super sharp knives, plenty of cocktail glasses, cooking pans and sheets, and a nice coffee maker. It was a pleasure to stay here!

This was our 4th attempt to vacation at Kiahuna, and we all agreed it was worth the effort. Ron Kline was quick to respond to our concerns—and there were many due to the Covid 19 situation. Poipu Beach is still my favorite swimming beach in all the islands This end unit is perfectly located, best view we’ve ever had!!! Kitchen is nicely stocked, and feels more open than some of the other Kiahuna condos. Beds were all very comfortable, and the recently remodeled and bathrooms are a definite plus.
Although restaurant dining currently requires making reservations weeks before arrival, we found that most of the local restaurants were able to provide great food via Take Out. So with that lovely view from our lanai, we were set…
