We loved it here so much. Poipu was a beautiful area and a nice central location to Waimea and Hanalei, and this condo was incredible. Just steps from the beach. In a nice town you can bike ride around. Tons of things to do. We will be back.

The condo was clean and well appointed. The location was excellent - can't beat being right in front of kiahuna beach. The condo was well situated - we could walk to the athletic club, poipu beach, poipu shopping mall, etc. Brooke was amazing, she was very responsive and helpful! Thank you Brooke!

This property is on the big lawn and a stones throw from the beach. The view is beautiful from this lovely condo. The kitchen is well stocked and the lanai is perfect for your morning coffee or great for dinner since the BBQ is close. Beautifully decorated.

The unit was everything that was advertised. We stayed with a family of four.
My wife and I found a mattress to be exceptionally comfortable. And the kids (7 & 3) found the pull out mattress acceptable. We ended up putting it on the floor every day as that was more comfortable than the couch frame (I wouldn’t have wanted to sleep on the sofa bed as an adult).
Bathroom is clean. Water pressure was strong. Washer and dryer. Both worked well.
No A/C, but we didn’t “need” it. Though there were a few times we wished we had it. Overall, if you open the windows on both sides, you get a pretty good cross breeze.
Are all appliances worked well in the kitchen. It was also well stocked with utensils, cutting boards, mixing bowls, etc.
One of the cabinets had leftover salts, a smattering of seasonings, and a little bit of cooking oil. You probably don’t want to count on all those things being there, but it was a nice surprise for us.
The gym across the street is wonderful. And the food at their poolside cafe is actually quite good (and reasonable, considering Hawaii prices.
Now, the highlight of this unit, is the location!
Opening the blinds and sliding glass door every morning was an absolute joy. The lanai exits onto the soft and perfectly manicured grass, and it is one of the shortest possible walks to the beach, of any of the units in Kiahuna plantation.
If we ever have the opportunity and finances to return to Kauai we would look for this property first.

We had a wonderful vacation stay at the resort, especially with the location of this particular unit in relation to the quick access to the beach.
The grass area leading up to the beach in front of the unit and BBQ area are very well kept.

I was in Kauai to celebrate a friends 50 th birthday. One couple had a unit right on the beach and the other four couples had units further from the beach and closer to the main road. My friends on the beach did not have direct beach access which was problematic. My unit was completely central to the grass area, beach, and facilities so we all met there everyday….it was the perfect gathering place and place to hang out. The pictures are true to form, great cross winds and a very comfortable bed. Would definitely love to stay at this Unit again!

This is a nice condo and had everything we needed for our two week stay. It has more kitchen counter space than some other units we’ve stayed in. The bed is very comfortable. We loved the view and being so close to the ocean.

We loved our stay eventually. Arrived to find unit filthy. Black hair inside the sheets, shower, sink. There was so much grease on the stove and knobs we couldn’t touch anything.We were discusted. Slept on top of bed until a cleaning crew could come in and do a complete cleaning. Also we were insulted with rules such as “put towels on furniture before sitting “ We are not slobs. Too many notes everywhere. This was our 29th trip to the island and we are very respectful of others property. Loved the location and eventually had a great time. BTW, the fake bougettes are layered in dust and should be thrown out.

The property was clean and had everything we needed - only exception was we couldn’t find any laundry detergent, but I don’t know if this was to be provided or not. Location is great and can walk out the front door right onto the lawn and beach. The property is well-maintained and clean with great landscaping. Other guests were very quiet and the stay was very peaceful. You can walk to Poipu beach as well. Would be happy to stay here again.

I’ll start with the positive….the location of this condo was exceptional! We were steps to the beach, parking, & grass area. Now to the not so exceptional part….the condo was VERY dirty when we arrived. The “cleaning job” that had just been done prior to our arrival was so bad we called the management to return to clean. The second job wasn’t much better than the first. Floors were disgusting with grime in all the corners, grit and grease were on the counters, refrigerator, stove, etc. I think that it has been years (if ever) since this unit has had a good cleaning. The furniture was very old, stained, and uncomfortable. The linens were also worn out. The king sized mattress was so old and uncomfortable, we even rotated it in order to not fall in the huge dents made by previous guests. I seriously don’t think that it has ever been replaced. The unit smelled musty and old….and unclean. It had a bad dirty odor. All of the dishes, utensils, pots and pans, etc. were old and cheap. They were also not very clean. I definitely cleaned most everything prior to using …..if they were even usable. The community bbq was close and nice to use.
This owner has not invested a dime into their investment unit. To charge the kind of money that they charged per night, I expected a clean & updated unit.
This was my first VRBO experience, and perhaps my last.

Oceanfront. You can hear the waves as you fall asleep and look at the beautiful water as you have your coffee. The apartment looks exactly like pictured. Communication with Brooke was excellent. There is a washer/dryer in unit which was a huge plus. The property in general is lush and conveniently located. There is no AC but we didn’t need it given the breeze. We’d book again.
Some small improvements that might help make the stays even better. The toaster didn’t work and iron has the knobs missing. While the cleaning crew did a good job in cleaning most used surfaces, they had missed all the pocket doors. Again, none of this came in the way of our enjoying the property but just small things.

We’ve stayed at Kiahuna many times and I continue to love this property for its grassy lawns and homey welcoming feel. Of all the units we’ve stayed in this was by far the most incredible location. We loved that the kids could walk to and from the beach from the patio. We loved using the bbq and dinner with the beachfront view of sunset. The unit was equipped with everything we needed as well and we especially loved having the washer/dryer to keep us in clean clothes throughout our stay. If you are contemplating this unit, go for it! The only caution I would advise has to do with your checkout cleaning fee. Check your Castle bill carefully when you check in to make sure they charge you only for the cleanings you are responsible for and nothing more. Twice now in separate stays Castle has tried to overcharge me but when shown proof of what I agreed to pay in the VRBO listing they quickly fixed the charges. I can’t wait to return to Kiahuna and I hope to be lucky enough to stay in a unit like this one again! Mahalo!

This is a nice unit in a well maintained resort. The location less than 50 feet from the beach is superb and much better than other units we have stayed at. It also has a small washer drier which was nice to have. The main quible would be the fold out couch which is very uncomfortable, even for kids. That siad it is a fold out so you know it is not going to be great. I would rent this unit again.

Fabulous unit facing the ocean. We have stayed at Kiahuna Plantation many times and this has been our favorite unit so far. We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen had everything we needed. As a first floor unit you can/will get noise from the unit above. The overall property is well maintained-the grounds are gorgeous-and we enjoyed the Poipu Beach Club pool, cafe and fitness center. Easy walk to restaurants.

Perfect location in sunny Poipu! Just steps from the water. The area is very “social” with the large green grass area and lots of other people nearby. Surf was a little challenging this time of year - more strong currents. I didn’t venture out far without a board and some swim fins. Also not a good place to snorkel. But we just walked to the beach next door and snorkeled there. There is no air conditioning in this unit but we found the trade winds plenty to keep things cool - as long as you are ok with early morning sounds from other people in the complex. Overall we had a great stay and I would recommend coming here again.

This place is amazing , literally steps from the ocean , incredible beach for surfing and kid friendly . There is a shack on the property where you can rent beach equipment and lessons . Our son loved it and wished we had stayed longer ! Will definitely be back !

This is really oceanfront with sunset views from the lanai. The property is very well equipped. The kitchen has everything that you need to make cocktails and meals. The bedroom is separated with bi-fold doors from the rest of the condo. I don't recommend that more than 2 people stay - there just isn't room. We have stayed in a lot of condos in Poipu but none compare to this unit.

This property is simply perfect, location, views whether you are a couple looking for a romantic setting of just as a getaway for the family. The unit is beautifully set up and offers unsurpassed views from the walkout. We stayed at the unit for 2 weeks without a car, and only used bikes and had a wonderful time. The resort itself is on the best beach in Kauai and you can walk to any number of eateries. It is a five plus star property.

This was our first stay at the Kiahuna Plantation. Unit 10 was excellent in every way. The unit itself was nice and well stocked. Plenty of cooking utensils, pans and dishes. The BBQ is practically in your yard. Speaking of yard, it could not have been better. Perfect location - grass leading right up yo the beach. Easiest access back and forth from the beach. Outdoor shower located between the beach and the unit. Kids had a blast running around on the lawn. Really highly recommend this particular ground floor unit. Hope to stay again next year!

We found the property with very little trouble, and the ladies at the check in desk were very nice and thorough. The condo was gorgeous, and I immediately saw the special artistic touches done by my artist sister and co-owner of this property . The bed was super nice, and my husband who is normally a hard as a rock mattress guy has been won over so now we have a softer bed at home! The kitchen was superbly outfitted, though I figure a new microwave is in store, and perhaps a new washer/dryer up the road. But the fantastic breeze through the condo with the lanai doors open was so wonderful, it was truly a delight! We consider Kauai our very special tropical vacation spot, and this trip was perhaps our favorite of all the times we have been here. Thanks so much for providing the very classy property you have there at Kianhuna Plantation. I know my sister and brother in law have enjoyed your facility for many many years. Keep up the great work!

My wife and I spent 5 days at Unit #10 at Kiahuna Plantation (managed by Castle Resorts) in May, 2017. Beautiful location. Stunning. The unit itself is best suited to a couple. It's a 1-bedroom and 1-bath. More than two would require using the pull-out couch in the sitting area, and that would make for a cramped stay.
It was clean. It is easy to maintain while you are there. No A/C... so plan to keep the ceiling fans on, and while you are in the unit, keep the vents in the doors open for airflow.
The unit is (currently) furnished with everything you need, INCLUDING boogie boards, noodles, a beach umbrella. These are stowed in a closet. Easy to locate.
The real magic of this unit is the beachfront location. You are 60 feet from the beach. The mornings are just stunning. Sit out on the back patio and soak it in with a cup of coffee. Gorgeous. Use the beach. The beginner surfers are fun to watch. SWIM! The waves are cool and enjoyable. Walk the beach. Either direction. Wonderful. Walk the grounds. They are immaculately kept. Hawaii. Enjoy it.
Although the property is managed like a resort, your unit is independent. You will NOT get maid service unless you specifically call and request it. It is an additional charge, unless you are there a week, in which case you will get one mid-week towel changeover. So... plan to launder your own towels. Plan to make your own bed. Plan to clean up after yourself, just like you would at home.
Restaurants. Gelato. Decent shopping (if you just can't resist shopping). Convenience/pharmacy store(s). All are just 3-4 minutes away.
40-minute drive to Waimea Canyon. 60-minute drive to Kileuea Lighthouse. 20-minute drive to Capt. Andy's dinner cruises in Eilele.
If I were to visit Hawaii again, this is where I would want to be sure to spend a few days.

Perfect location in a beautiful setting. My family has come to the Kiahuna Plantation 2 times now and loved every minute of our stay. This home was nicely furnished, had laundry, and was comfortable. A little small for 4 people, but well worth it.

Beautiful property. Amazing view. Perfect location. Ten steps to the beach as well as a bbq. Great restaurants and fun shopping across the street. Grass for kids to play on, adults to read on, and everyone to relax on right out front. Surf lessons and snorkeling on the beach out front. There is something for everyone. Would return every year if we could.
