Kiahuna is located perfectly in Poipu, and this unit is one of the best (we’ve stayed in multiple units over the years) within the resort. Centrally located to beach and to shopping village across the street. Unit is well furnished and equipped, owners were very communicative.

We had an amazing time during our stay! It is exactly as described - clean, comfortable, with a wonderful lanai, and perfectly located for easy access to the beach, restaurants and shopping. The grounds are gorgeous beautiful flowers and trees. One of our favorite things was the lawn overlooking the beach, just a very short walk away. Our son took a surf lesson and we could watch from the lawn. The water is clear and blue and is nice for swimming. And we loved the athletic club access, with pickleball, yoga, pool, restaurant and more. Bill was super responsive, helpful and accommodating. It really is a little slice of paradise!

Wake up birds every morning but it is also very quiet not having a building next to you. Will come back to Kiahuna again and again.

We loved the location of this unit, that we could see the ocean from the lanai, and especially the AC. We had a great stay. We highly recommend visiting The Cabana Bar & Grill across the street at the pool. The food was surprisingly some of the best of our stay!

From the ease of booking to seeing this unit in person, we knew we made a great choice. It was so comfortable, well-furnished and full of Aloha. There was so much to see and do nearby, but the grounds were so beautiful we could have stayed there the entire time too.

The unit was comfortable, mild walk to the beach, good view with a glimpse of the ocean, clean, well furnished, well stocked kitchen & w recreational gear (beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, etc.) and one of the few with AC! Some will say that the ocean breeze helps w cooling and may be enough for some, but the AC is an added bonus for someone like me who runs hot.
The minor things I would note, but we’re not deal breakers for us are:
• Flush lever on the toilet was very tight and needs maintenance, but flushable
• The shower door is a little snug and could use some attention to smoothen it out, but opens/closes
• The sofa comfort was ok and felt more like outdoor patio furniture. Personally I prefer a softer fabric and cushions, but that is subjective.
The property owner was proactive checking on our stay and responsive to the couple minor inquiries we had for him.
The grounds of Kiahuna Plantation are gorgeous, close to the beach, offer decent parking, and within walking distance to nearby shops and restaurants.
We love this area and we have stayed in a different unit in the past; this one was great overall.
Great value for this type of unit, amenities and location!

The apartment was clean and comfortable for our family of 4. The deck has a great view and the air conditioning is a relief when the wind dies down. The extra beach chairs and boogy boards were an added bonus. We stayed in this unit 2 years ago and would stay again. It is so nice to be able to ditch the car and walk to the beach, shopping and restaurants. We love the short walk to the beach and the gorgeous plants and flowers at Kiahuna Plantation. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had. Mahalo!

I’ve been to the plantations multiple times and it’s always amazing. Bills unit is clean and comfortable. It has everything you’d need if you are cooking in, is close to the grill and has a lovely view. Morning coffees were a wonderful way to start the day.
Our key card/door stopped working one day. Talked to the front desk and 3-4 maintenance guys were there within minutes to let us in. The door was fixed within 10 from us alerting them. Perfect response!! All in all we will be back to this location and unit!

This unit is large and well appointed with everything you need in the kitchen and lots of beach gear (umbrella, boogie board, etc). The owner was communicative and easy to work with. The grounds of the resort are beautiful with many flowers and plants (don't miss the orchid garden!).
The only thing to know about this resort is the pool is across the street and up the hill at a health club. You can walk there, but it's a bit of a haul up a sunny hill so we chose to drive. Which was fine, and it's a lovely pool with a delicious restaurant.
All in all, a great stay.

The condo has a nice view of the ocean and a great location in Poipu. Bill was an excellent host who had great communication and made the booking process very easy. He was attentive to my email upon checkin and followed up to make sure we were all set. The condo is roomy and stocked with most essentials for a nice stay. Some updates to the property would be nice but especially the sliding glass door (very difficult to open/close) and the shower sliding door. The Plantation is a great location and the property grounds are beautiful. Not crazy about the pool location (I knew where it was before booking and did not think it would bother me but it did - never ended up using the pool). Highly recommend the short walk to Poipu Beach - the best snorkeling in the area!

Wonderful 1st stay on Kauai! Great condo and location with proximity to Poipu! Loved snorkeling most every morning in the bay. Spent many afternoons by the pool at Poipu Athletic Club as well. Wonderful anniversary dinner at the Beach House. Other than the torrential downpour we arrived in, the weather was phenomenal. Outstanding!

We had a wonderful time at Kiahuna Plantation. The condo met our needs perfectly. We enjoyed the view of the ocean from the lanai, utilized the well-appointed kitchen for many meals and slept comfortably. Bill, the condo owner, was easy to work with and checked in on us when we arrived. Our late check-in/check-out were made easy by the Castle staff. We called Castle with a minor maintenance need and were accommodated quickly; as well, they were friendly and helpful when we had questions. Laundry, although not right in the condo, was convenient ($3 each for detergent, washer and dryer).
The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. We loved having the option to relax on the lawn by the beach or enjoy the sand and jump in the waves down below. Towels are conveniently available in the building by the beach, along with bocci ball/football rentals, chairs, drinks/snack and surf boards and lessons.
We would definitely stay again!

Interesting staying in a condo with screens and shutters in place of windows. The breeze was fabulous! Downfall is that you hear everything. The wild roosters are everywhere, are stunningly beautiful, I loved them, my husband not so much.
Condo complex is quite large so lots of walking. Free parking.
Loved on site public laundry, credit card $3.00 W $3.00 Dry. Detergent extra.
Loved use of huge gym/pool/sm.hot tub/ fair priced bar/restaurant which was all included. We went everyday. The pool looked great for families. It is located uphill across the street. The beach is downhill on property.
Several little stores/ restaurants across the street and better busier ones about a mile away. Easy walk.
Ubers were easy get. $8 for a ride to the stores a mile away when a big rain popped up.
If you stay longer than a couple days you definitely need a car. This condo is about a 25 minute drive from airport. Driving around island is quick and easy except for rush hours.
This condo had everything we could need from cooking to beach coolers and chairs. The balcony was large and incredible distant ocean view over railings. In December the sun hit perfectly if you wanted to lay out.
If I could change one thing I would love a comfortable couch in living room so we could lounge together rather than formally sit.
Overall, we had a great time getting to know Kauai from this southern most location. It’s mostly quiet and relaxing here. No real night life which we were great with. Everything closed up by 8 or 9pm during our stay in December.
Tons of churches around also. We found a great Mo Synod Lutheran Church, St. Matthews just a couple miles down the road.

We love the property. It's the best one we have stayed in at the Plantation. Lots of surfing and beach accessories in the cupboard, plus fitness weights. We went up to the pool at the Athletic club from 7 - 8 am most mornings and did lengths. After 8am it turns into a family pool, so go early.

5 stars just didn't seem like enough! Our unit was absolutely the best! Upper floor, end unit, quiet, private. From our balcony - beautiful views of ocean/surf/lagoon, sunrise incredible, heard waves crashing on beach. Kitchen - everything you need, lots of tupperware, & ice packs in freezer to take in coolers to beach/excursions, beautiful Koa wood cabinets, updated appliances. Unit - comfortable, nicely decorated & updated bathroom, loved Hawaiian CD's, boogie boards, beach mats & chairs, coolers, weights, sun umbrella in closet. Never used air conditioning, loved breezes & sounds of birds through screened shuttered windows. Resort grounds - gorgeous! Huge trees, beautiful Hawaiian flowers, orchid garden, grassy areas everywhere - well maintained. Beach - enjoyed lounge chairs on grass overlooking ocean/beach & watching sunsets. Fun to sit on beach too, - chairs provided by resort & umbrella from unit. Beach towels (free) available from Beach Hut. Poipu Athletic Club - Great club across street/free access - wonderful pool with waterfalls/slide.

We had a very nice time in Poipu. I’ve stayed at the Plantation condo complex before and returned because it has such beautifully maintained grounds. Large mature trees and pretty large, mature flowering plants make the place feel like a botanical garden. We also loved that it’s close to the Grand Hyatt Resort where they have free self parking and you can enjoy morning coffee/breakfast or afternoon cocktails/snacks and live music with dramatic views from their grand terrace. This small condo is upstairs with a vaulted ceiling in the living area which helps it feel bigger. It has a nice set of matching rattan furnishings throughout that have nice sturdy firm cushions. It could use more lighting over dining table, stove, and in bedroom. The kitchen is small but equipped with everything one needs to cook full meals. It felt a little overcrowded in there because of the amount of dishware etc. with limited space for storage. The AC is an accessory unit and was pretty good but was close to not being enough to keep the bedroom cool. The gas grills are located throughout the grounds and we had three sets of them located close to us. They are maintained daily by the groundskeepers and are meticulously cleaned daily which was wonderful.
Overall the grounds are excellent and the condo is good. It’s probably time soon for a condo update with paint/refinishing of cabinets etc. and update on lighting. We really enjoyed the stay and the pretty partial ocean view from the deck and liked the top floor with no one above us.

The location was also convenient, as it is about a 3 minute walk across the street to a couple coffee shops, restaurants, and a convenience store. I really like the location - easy walk to the beach, ocean views, close to BBQ’s. It is well equipped and nice to have the option for AC if it gets too warm. Would definitely stay here again!

This condo is a perfect spot for a Kauai stay. The beach is gorgeous, the pool is perfect for kids (food on-site is a nice plus), and it's an easy jumping off point to get to other parts of the island. Only 20 minutes from the airport. My only wish is that there were more staples provided in the kitchen, such as salt, oil, etc, so you didn't have to go out to buy every little thing that you will only use a small quantity of. Other than that, it's pretty much perfect.

We spent 12 days of complete relaxation. The condo is nicely appointed. The bed is extremely comfortable! Quiet location. The occasional rooster at 2 AM made us both laugh.
The kitchen and bathroom have not been updated, but are more than sufficient.

My wife and I stayed here for four nights Sunday through Thursday. Owner (Bill) communication was excellent, both before and during our stay, quick response. The unit is well decorated, has all the items needed for a comfortable stay. Location is fantastic, end unit (quiet) with great view of beach and waves.
There is a/c and unit does NOT have direct sun into the unit, rather sun goes left to right, overhead, spent many meals and time on deck. Easy walk to beach. Plenty of Hawaiian music on cds. Comfortable bed, walk-in shower, excellent kitchen, great layout. Parking nearby. This was our first time in Hiakuna and we feel so fortunate to have selected this unit (after much research). It surpassed our expectations. We will be back!!

This is the third time at Kiahuna, and this condo was the best experience. Kiahuna's landscaping and Moir Garden were much enjoyed. Local beaches, snorkeling, and hiking paths provided wonderful activities. Then to return to this beautiful, comfortable, well-outfitted condo for great showers and good meals with lanai dining with ocean views -- wonderful time. Bill was invested in making sure we had a good time and very responsive to any questions we had.

This was the perfect landing spot for Kauai- the south shores is one of my favorite places on the island and Kiahuna Plantation offers it all. The place itself was beautiful with close proximity to the beach, pool & gym. With AC in the unit, which is a rarity in units at the Kiahuna, it was very comfortable on a hot day if the trades stop.
I will definitely go back and stay in this unit!

We were happy to see and feel the sun after 5 days on the rainy but lushly beautiful north shore. What a different vibe… so many more people, turtles, and restaurants!!
This is a great unit… beautiful view, great lanai, nice king bed. Easy to walk to beach or shopping across the street. One small suggestion… maybe have salt and pepper available in the kitchen… and a scrub sponge. Non stick skillet was not really.
So sad to leave Kauai… 😢

If you’re on the fence about booking this, just do it. You won’t regret it. The room itself has everything you need and the bed/pillows were pretty comfortable. Very close (2 minute walk) to the beach. Very close to several great beaches and restaurants. Also really great that you have access to the fitness center and pool across the street. Can’t wait to stay here again.

We have stayed there several times and love the location. This property had great views of the ocean and pond, next to parking lot too which was nice. I always like being on the 2nd floor. The shower was fairly new, nice tile. Kithen counter tops were granite which is really a must in 2021. The frig, stove, dishwasher were good. The cabinets and furniture were very outdated, couch was not comfortable at all, hard actually. Lanai furniture was satisfactory, nothing torn but screen sliding door. It was a good value I guess, but it's time to upgrade a few things. The shower glass was not very clean, things felt rushed since the dishwasher was still running when we checked in at 5pm. The complex is super cool near the ocean, but if you want a pool you need to go across the street. Even though there is space for them to build a pool, there isn't one for some reason. The ocean is pretty rough, so open water swimming freestyle wasn't an option. The lagoon behind Duke's in Lihue or Salt Pond Beach is better for freestyle if you're a swimmer!

We have stayed at the Kiahuna Plantation several times over the last 15 years and always enjoy the beach and the beautiful grounds. This unit had a great view, was well equipped and it was lovely to enjoy a little A/C on hot afternoons. The newly renovated Athletic Club was a wonderful bonus. We really enjoyed the pool and restaurant there. The only suggestion I have is a better mattress and blanket for the sofa bed. Our 2 daughters are in their early 20s and were not very comfortable. Will rent again!

It’s a nice, slightly smaller condo on Poipu (Kiahuna) beach. Restaurants nearby. Great location. If you just want to hang out at the beach you might not even need a car!
Slight downsides: No Laundrey in the unit - coin laundry is on the other side of the property. Ceiling fan ran in the wrong direction only - owner said he will fix it. Missing some things that would be helpful like dish detergent. One AC in the living room with fans to help move the air around.
Otherwise, nicely furnished and very pleasant. Would stay there again.

This is a lovely property, overall very quiet, clean and with direct view of the ocean from our lanai. Just a short walk to nice beach. Had use of ice chests, beach chairs and umbrella stored in unit.
Check-in cumbersome, but that was due to the State of Hawaii’s COVID documentation requirements.
While Bill was very responsive to my email questions, we were confused whether we should be contacting Bill or Castle Resorts, which is on the property, with questions/needs about maintenance.
Castle maintenance replaced dead batteries in remote for A/C. Bill offered to have bedroom ceiling fan repaired while we were there, but we found louvred windows provided adequate air flow. It should be repaired/replaced for future guests.
Having an instruction sheet for remotes (AC & fans) and any other condo information as well as replacing dirty towels and checkout requirements for unit (found out there were none) and whether to contact Bill or Castle with questions would be helpful to future guests.
Crowing roosters at 5:00 a.m. part and parcel of being on the island. We got used to it.
Would stay in this unit again in future. Now that COVID has passed, making sure everything works in unit should be easier for Bill and Castle.

The property grounds was stunning. The orchid garden was in full bloom. The beach at the resort is great for kids or just relaxing on the provided chairs.
The pool facilities are across the street and beautiful, and a shirt, easy walk. Towels provided at the beach and pool.
Unit #239 is updated and had everything we needed including an ocean view a few buildings back from the ocean. The owner is quickly very responsive. We would come back to this unit again.

The unit was upgraded (except for kitchen appliances) very nicely. 2 Ceiling fans worked well. Liked the extra breeze that end units get with two extra windows. The unit had 2 extra floor fans - one for the living area and one chest fan for bedroom. View of ocean was nice - not close but we saw waves and sand. It was clean and looked well cared for. Loved sitting on the lanai. Have stayed at Kiahuna at least 7 times in 10 years. The restaurant PLANTATION GARDENS is a good place to dine.

Close to the beach, to restaurants (lots within walking distance and several more within very close driving distance); never a problem finding parking space close to the building.

We have stayed at Kiahuna Plantation 3 times in the past 3 years and, in particular, have stayed in Unit 239 twice. The resort is unbelievable and Unit 239 is exceptional. The unit has everything you need for your vacation and is very clean. It has a wonderful lanai and the view is spectacular. The king size bed is also very comfortable and there is a fantastic breeze being an end unit. Also, the owner was very easy to deal with. The beach which is a one minute walk from the unit is great. The resort is the kind of place I always dreamed of staying at. Great for kids, teens and adults. I highly recommend it. You won't want to leave.

My husband and I stayed in this condo for 13 wonderful days. We so enjoyed breakfast on the lanai in the morning and the view. There were multiple fans which helped to keep the air moving. Having a top floor condo with extra windows was also a plus to cool off the rooms. The bed was comfortable and we had everything we needed for our stay. This condo is very centrally located to everything we needed - towels, beach, orchid and Moir gardens and the restaurants/shops right across the street. A couple of minor things needed fixing and these were taken care of quickly. Bill responded quickly to all of my communications which I greatly appreciated! We would definitely stay in this condo on return trips to the Poipu area.

Bill (owner) and his wife have a lovely condo at Kiahuna Plantation that is fully stocked with everything guests need. It is a 5-minute walk to the beach and there are towels and chairs to use for free at the hut by the ocean. This is an end unit on the top floor so it's quiet with a partial ocean view. The Poipu shopping village is across the road where there are restaurants, Starbucks and shops. We had a very comfortable stay and would recommend this.

My wife and I spent a week here on our first trip to Kauia. After spending a busy week in Maui and a week on the big island this was a welcome and relaxing stay. The unit was very week decorated and spacious. Everything we needed for our stay was provided right down to a flashlight for walking the grounds at night. You can spend time visiting the island sites or rake a break and spend time on the grounds or at the beach. Everything you need is very close including some good places to eat. Thank you we really enjoyed it.

We had a wonderful 10 days at Kiahuna Plantations. Our condo was clean with an ocean view.
Weather wise it was very humid so the 2 fans in the bedroom helped to move air around. The grounds are kept immaculate and the washer/ dryer set up was nice, clean and in good working order.

My husband and I had the most wonderful time at Kiahuna Plantation unit 239. The condo came with everything anyone could want, including boogie boards, sand chairs and different size coolers. The setting on the 2nd floor allowed the trade winds to enter the condo and sitting on the balcony was just super relaxing. The owner was easy to work with and helped make our stay in southern Kauai most delightful. An awesome vacation.

Very peaceful resort with terrific landscaping. And the unit is beautiful. Nicely furnished and very well equipped. Kitchen is great and the new cabinets are very striking! Peekaboo water view that's framed by palms! All you could ask for and the owner is great to deal with. We've been to Kauai many times--we'll be returning soon to the same unit!

This is an awesome resort with peaceful atmosphere. The buildings and the landscape are very well taken care of. The unit is on the second floor, it gets nice breeze and has a view of the ocean. It is very tastefully furnished, we loved the oar on the wall (wonder if it was made by the owner?) and the framed photos in the dining area. The kitchen has everything that you need to fix breakfast and simple dinners too. Sometimes we had our meal in the living room, sometimes on the balcony. The master bedroom bed is very comfortable, we slept like babies there. Our kids also slept comfortably in the living-room. If I'd known that the owner had such a nice collection of travel books about Kauai in the apartment, I could've saved some room in my suitcase. It was very convenient that the resort has access to so many beaches all in walking distance. Walking alone offers many activities that are near by. There were many amenities included as tenants of the plantation. It was very easy to work with the owner of the property to arrange dates & payments. It was an incredible vacation and we plan to return here on our next vacation.

Kiahuna is a very peaceful Quite large property. Our unit was well maintained and updated. The unit is well located between beach, shops , and several good restaurants. We did not cook in our unit which was well equipped to do so. We made it a true vacation and ate out. Our unit was a second story end unit with great cross breezes, and very private. WE were twenty year residents of Honolulu and Know Hawaii well. Kauai is as Hawaiian as it gets, enjoy. The owners are a pleasure to deal with.

Kiahuna is a wonderful resort but it does make a difference which unit you select. This unit was great. From the start Bill was very prompt in answering our inquiry and making arrangements for us to arrive very late at night. Once there we were pleased at the upgrades and quality decor in the unit - from the new Koa cabinets to the lovely framed art work, to sharp new knives in the kitchen. This unit is especially nice because it is a corner unit on the top floor so it was very quiet yet had fine breezes all the time. It's a short walk to the beach and yes, you can have your morning coffee on the lanai with views of the palm-lined beach. We also appreciated the beach chairs and umbrellas. It has everything you need and you can walk to stores and great restaurants nearby. Don't hesitate to stay here.

Just as described--lovely property with ocean and garden views. Was well maintained and owner answered questions without hesitation. Would definitely recommend property to friends and will return again! We've been coming to Poipu for over 30 years and there's nowhere I'd rather be!
